"This person has a secret onlyfans!" "This artist does NSFW commissions!" "This author writes porn on the side!" I cannot begin to tell you how swag and awesome that is.

Let me be clear with where I stand with self proclaimed "feminists" who say that "sex work is work". I am a former foster kid and I think this liberal feminist idea of a "swerf" (sex work exclusionary radical feminist) is nonsense. If anything, liberal feminists exclude girls from foster care in their "intersectional feminist" analysis.
When I aged out of foster care and my social worker told me that most foster kids end up homeless and the girls become prostitutes, I was terrified. I became acutely aware that my situation as a former foster kid was very different from my peers. Little girls in foster care do not dream of growing up to become a prostitute. Pimps exploit girls from foster care because they don't have to fight through a mom and dad to get to her. Foster kids are looking for love, family, and a sense of belonging. A pimp exploits their desire for connection and their vulnerability.
Real feminists include girls from foster care in their intersectional feminism. Real feminists don't just bring up foster kids when they want to argue for the sake of abortion. They recognize that foster kids are actual human beings. We are not a class of girls that it is okay to sexually exploit. We are not for sale! Sex trafficking is a crime. It is not work, it is exploitation!

Sex is not an action one person does to another person.
Sex is an action two people do with one another.
Sex is NOT an action a man does to a woman.
Men want to see having males having sex with women as
the action of masturbating while there is a woman present.
Men who have sex with women do not see women as people. Men see the women they are having sex with as nothing but props.
Men want porn stars, strippers, prostitutes—or CHILDREN. That is their FIRST option.
Women—adult human females—come SECOND to strip clubs, pornography, and brothels.
A man who has sex with a woman sees her as being second place to his favorite porn star.
Men do not want to have sex with women; they want to have sex with Harley Quinn.
Tumblr media
Men want to have sex with a hypersexualized OBJECT who is socialized to say she is okay with sex work, grooming culture, and BDSM culture.

Also, there is so much hand-wringing over the ethics of BDSM and while obviously it is worth taking care about ...sensation seeking is a thing. Many, many people enjoy eating habanero peppers and/or watching movies that make them cry. The conceptual leap from there to the idea that it's possible for sex to hurt good is a very short one, and sometimes it REALLY is as simple as that.
