Even when some of them are getting on your nerves. Even when they defend the patriarchy. Even when they shit on feminism and other women. You can call them stupid, evil or worthless because some of them can be that.

But if you call women you don't like bitches, cunts, sluts or any other slur that men invited to humiliate females you're NOT a feminist.

I get the sense that these commenters desperately need everyone to agree that the thing they like is objectively/morally "correct" and "good", which is just another expression of a current trend in fandom, and liking things in general. It's so much harder to just say "I like this thing because I like it, having nothing to do with believing it to be objectively better or more correct than anything else", than to go on a "holy crusade" against your "enemies", because until they admit your view is objectively correct, you will not be able to rest easy about it.

It sounds exhausting, tbh. Anyway, I've been loving seeing your responses, and really appreciate your poise and how well-thought-out your responses are, even with this deluge of bad faith commenters.

I 100% agree, I get the same feeling. There is almost a dissonance in finding that they like one thing but this one thing is not the morally correct thing. And then they need to reshape the "thing" so that it becomes moral, and correct or even it becomes amoral and unethical to dislike that thing (the comment i got "if you dislike ascended astarion then it is like hating on bdsm") without much reasoning behind it.

Imagine you pop in someone's DMs after four weeks, apologizing that you took so long to reply and ask if they're still interested.

All you get is shit like "huh?" "excuse me??" And "um okay...?" when they clearly can backtrack the convo and check literally two messages earlier that I sent the ad URL - after this person didn't seem to be interested anymore and kinda .... being not that polite - I say "okay I think you're not interested anymore" and block them. They got me some passive aggressive vibe and I didn't want to keep trying to talk to them. I blocked them from their dash view, not in the messages itself. And I get up, say hi to my kitties and the next time I check my phone I'm still on that stranger's profile and it refreshed. I'm met with this lovely entry:
