Time for the og Godzilla!

The detail is so neat! He looks so good! Well, unless you look at his face straight on XD

He be looking derpy, but that's okay, I still love him. Also, I love that they colored him in black and white cause we never saw the og Goji in color. It's only really noticeable with the inside of his mouth, but still. Also his asymmetrical dorsal fins/spines are very cool, and accurate to the film. It was only a matter of time before I bought this one, I could not resist getting the very first Gojira, we would not have a kaiju as famous as he is if this one was not made. Or any of his friends/foes.

He may not be my favorite design, but he's definitely up there with the best. If anyone's interested, I can line up all my Godzilla(and others) figures and have a group photo. I'll probably still do it, but let me know if you want me to tag you in the group photo.

I can't put my finger on all the ways the new Godzilla is different, but they definitely tweaked the Ride design in a way I like.

One difference is that I think they made his neck slightly longer & his head looks better as a result.

I know you have an SH Monsterarts Godzilla Minus One figure out. It's great, I love it, and I put it on my Santa list!

But I really want an SH Monsterarts figure of Gojira as he first appeared in the film on Odo Island. I've seen you have a few other figures of him, but they're cheap trash. Give the Odo Island guy the treatment he deserves!

I've been waiting for this for so long and it's finally here!!!

Yes, it's Minus One's Goji!!(yes that's my attempt at a recreation of that one scene

I think I did alright)

I absolutely love this figure, he is very accurate to the movie. He has all the details that is seen in the movie! More pictures where you can see more of him:

I tried to get a good picture of his eyes, too, as that's one of the little details that make this Godzilla look more terrifying.

And one more that shows off his scar on his face from a certain event in the movie(no spoilers for those who haven't been able to see it)

(It's the mark on his cheek closer to his eye and the end of the mouth in case it's not clear).

Also his toes are articulated as well to an extent. Which I think is a cool yet strange choice. Can't say I'm complaining tho. Another surprising thing that can move is the three topmost spines(or I guess the proper way to say it is the first row of his spines) are slightly movable, and no, it's not a flaw, that's planned. It's for a bit of ease with posing his head like in the first picture. Neat. Though I ought to be careful, that can make it easy for them to fall off and accidentally lose them. But no, the spines don't work like in the movie when he fires his heat ray/atomic breath. Not sure how they'd pull that off honestly.

Anyway, I am so happy to finally have this in my possession, I pre-ordered this literally the same day I first watched this movie, back in December. He looks so cool, I could not resist getting it.

Tamashi Nations - Godzilla: King of The Monsters - King Ghidorah (2019) Special Color Version, Bandai Spirits S.H.MonsterArts Tamashi Nations

After what seemed like infinite delays, my King Ghidorah has finally arrived! I have the original one, which was nice but had some stability issues. This one is a bit better on that front and aesthetically better. Ghidorah is golden here with silver tips on the horns and under the necks. The figure is still massive and is a shelf killer, but the presence is undeniable.
