Cosmic Legacy Challenge for TS3

Oh wow, its my third challenge. Anyway, I was looking for new challenges and wondered why no one has made a planet themed challenge for TS3 (there's a lot for TS4). So I decided to make one.

Cosmic Legacy Challenge is a 11 gen challenge that includes the sun, planets, the moon,and Pluto because I wanted Pluto so therefore, its spaced theme. Each generation is based off a mix of astronomy, astrology,and greek/roman mythology. Some of the goals in certain generations require your sim crying/drama and if that’s your playstyle that’s cool but heads up if it isn’t. So if you enjoy space, space themed adventures, or a bit of drama from time to time in your legacies, this might be for you.

Rules:

You don’t have to use all of the traits, just 2-3 required

You can move onto the next generation when all of the goals are met or when the next heir ages to a YA

If you don’t have a certain expansion pack that is related to a goal, skip it or do an alternative goal that fits.

Aah! A star is born! Where would we be without the center of our universe! Everything revolves around you and people are dependent on you to perform or else we would all die. Not trying to be dramatic here but you’re hitting your prime and before you know it, you’ll blow out and fade away into existence, destroying everything you worked so hard to gain. But are you willing to go through the jumps and hurdles to find your happily ever after?

You’re curious and wonder about what’s out there as you’ve always had to examine life through a lens. But it’s time to get back out there and explore the depths and wonders the world has to offer you. For you were responsible with its care, it’s time to honor that stewardship.

5. ☾Moon:

But your light comes in stages and sometimes your dark side shows up more than you want it too. But just because you can get a little emotional sometimes or plan a bank robbery every once in a while, does not mean you are unfit to take care of your family. Sometimes, being bad does pay the bills.

For someone who used to be so full of life, you’re now just bitter and cold. It doesn’t stop you from being a person of action and it also doesn’t stop people from wanting to be your friend (since they won’t stop coming over to your house). While your anger can hurt those close to you, it also provides a way for you to keep your boundaries respected and your inner world at peace. So for some much needed self care, please go to the spa or eat a Snickers.

Goals:

Master the Athletic skill

Woohoo with 10 different sims in 10 different places

Reach the top of the military or athletic career

Have a set of twins (can have more children than that)

Have more enemies than friends

7. ♃ Jupiter:

Dang you’re massive but that’s what makes you a great leader. Your presence is intensely large and it allows others to see your greatness as well as draw them into you. But while you are a storm to be feared, you don’t exactly have the best foundation within yourself. That’s why you have taken upon yourself to expand your inner world and focus on becoming the best version of yourself. But while you’ve always believed you are a good person, don’t forget that you are also flawed and susceptible to making mistakes just like the rest of us.

Traits: Commitment Issues, Adventurous, Lucky, Flirty, Good

Goals:

Obtain 2 degrees from university

Be best friends with your sibling(s)

Have 3 affairs when you’re married

Donate to charity once a week

Travel to all of the WA destinations and learn something new to take back home with you. (i.e - skill, song, book)

When you want something, you go get it. To you, money can solve all of your problems and those who complain, well they just don’t have enough. That’s how you got those 7 rings correct? Whether that’s biding your time to see the fruits of your labor grow into fruition or focusing on building your abundant wealth, you work hard for what you wish to earn. It’s the discipline and precision of your routine that keeps you going.

Sting's fingers twitched, their melodic dancing halted by Rogue's own shaky fingers. It felt more right than anything else he had ever done before, taking Sting's hand. It felt different from the last time they had held hands, like it meant more. Sting didn't seem to mind, leaning against him a little harder, shifting his head to be closer, and breathing slowly. Rogue's face felt hot, and he did his best to ignore it as he tightened his grip on Sting's hand.

He didn't want to move anyway. His shadows had always loved Sting's light, and now was no different.

A long list of assorted Pokémon Trivia:

-Nidoking and Nidoqueen's inability to breed is actually consistent with official material that never made it to Western markets.

-The Swinub line is currently the only group of Pokémon weak to all three starter types, due to their unique type combination.

-It was impossible to deal supereffective Dargon-type damage in Gen 1, as the only damage dealing Dragon move back then was Dragon Rage, which deals a set 40 damage.

-To fit with the Japanese connection between 4 and death, Morty is the fourth Johto Gym Leader, in Ecruteak City, the fourth city visited by the player, and uses a team of four Ghost-types. Despite this, he does not use Misdreavus, the only Ghost-type added in Gen 2, and the fourth Ghost-type overall, and instead uses two Haunters.

-Something that often goes unnoticed and may be unintentional is that there are four distinct Ghost-type moves between his Pokémon in his Gold and Silver battle (Spite, Like, Night Shade, and Shadow Ball), as Curse was not a Ghost-type move yet. In HeartGold and SoulSilver, his first Haunter is given Nightmare, breaking the pattern.

-The film "Stand By Me" was playing in Red's home back in the first generation games, particularly the scene in which the four boys walk along the railroad tracks, which was referenced in The GOTCHA! music video by BUMP OF CHICKEN.

-Currently, Empoleon is the only Starter Pokémon with a unique type combination. Torterra also had one until the introduction of Toedscool and Toedscruel.

-F-00, a Pokéstar Studios-exclusive opponent from the Everlasting Memories movies, is the only "Pokémon" able to use Chatter aside from Chatot itself. Not even Smeargle is capable of this, as it cannot be Sketched. F-00 also currently stands as the only "Pokémon" with the Steel/Normal type combination.

-Pokémon that can be found holding valuable items in the main games (e.g. Perals, Tiny Mushrooms, Stardust) instead provide increased Stardust gains when caught in Pokémon GO. Curiously, Ditto, often found holding the less-valuable Quick Powder and Metal Powder items, only gives 80 Stardust in GO, despite the default gain from a typical Pokémon being 100.

-Weedle cannot learn any Normal-type moves and is the only Pokémon with this distinction.

-Soak's appearance as a Field Move in the Ranger series predates its core series appearance as a standard move, albeit in English game alone. Soak's Japanese name, however, debuted as a Poké-Power on the Secret Wonders Blastoise card.

-Diglett, Dugtrio, Mega Gengar, Sandygast, and Palossand are all immune to the move Telekinesis, purely due to their unique groundedness among Pokémon.

-Had Telekinesis not been removed prior to Scarlet and Violet, this would have likely also applied to Wiglett and Wugtrio (although they still technically can't be hit by it as of now).

-The Incenses needed to produce the Baby Pokémon from Gens 3 and 4 (sans Riolu) all shared their in-battle effects with other items. However, the Sea Incense and Wave Incense uniquely shared their effect with each other as well as the Mystic Water.

-Flareon is the only Eeveelution that lacks a swimming animation in Scarlet and Violet, likely due to its unique weakness to Water among the group.

-The Black Belt from Mahogany Town's Team Rocket HQ who took a Hyper Beam from Lance's Dragonite reappears as an NPC in Pokémon Masters's Pokémon Center, having trouble recounting the event to another person. This same game also has a medal for using Hyper Beam on Pokémon used by Black Belts ten times, named after Lance's command.

-Rocket Executive Proton's attire may be a reference to the standard Grunt in Slowpoke Well that he takes the place of in the remakes.

-Porygon's Gen 7 Pokédex entries (aside from Moon) mention origins from about 20 years prior, a reference to the release of the Gen 1 games, which at the time were 20 years old. The source mentioned earlier in regards to Nidoking and Nidoqueen breeding also states Porygon was created in 1995. This places the events of Pokémon Sun and Moon roughly within a year of the games' real life release in 2016, barring potential retcons.

Konrolo sits in a little warehouse underground and has monitors set up in various different places around the world- courtesty of the shadow vani, silohwu.

Does the wonder sembla have a radius? Could Konrolo look at the monitor of new york and go "hmm i would like that building to be eviscerated", and then an army of gators crawls out of the sewers and starts destroying the place--- or does she need to be in that area for it to take effect?

Does wonder have a timer? Does it happen at a random time after the user wishes it to be or does it happen instantaneously? How much control over this would the user have?

Can a wonder user just... wish for something to happen at any given time and place to anyone and have it happen? Like "i wish Ranodio would just fucking. Explode rn" while she's on the moon and he's on earth?

How much focus and willpower (as well as psionics) goes into that?? What's the limit for it (like how plasma users can't.. summon a star.)

ALSO SORRY THIS ASK IS FUCKING GARGANTUAN i just dont wanna mess up her writing cause shes such an important character and id hate to spread misinfo on a semi public project /gen

1) Radius - All psionic abilities have a ranged radius based upon visualization, which also means they can affect areas they see in live cameras. The absolute cutoff is anything on different celestial bodies- you cannot be on the moon and affect something on Earth. HOWEVER- even with the ability to affect things via camera visualization, it takes more Will strain. The effects will be weaker and/or cause more mental willpower on the user, and likewise anything that's closer and in a tangible proximity will be stronger and use less willpower.

2) Timer - This is down to energy vs matter manifestations. If psionics conjure something that requires constant application, like a fire, a bolt of lightning, or otherwise doing an effect that's an energy, it will have a "timer" in the sense that once it is cast, it is done and cannot be repeated. If Wonder conjures a physical object of matter, the object stays until someone else removes it- same goes for every other sembla that summons energy or matter

Wonder also can't fully control the effects. Whatever's summoned will be summoned and "aimed" towards the desired task, but after they've been conjured, anything can happen and they can't be redirected or controlled directly

3) Wishes - Wonder cannot control the means (only cause Some Thing to happen), and the more specific and extravagant the desired outcome, the more strain it causes the user and the more focus it'd require. also like above, the absolute range cutoff is celestial bodies, so you can't be on Big Rock 1 and affect someone on Big Rock 2

4) Willpower - The more willpower one has, the more Big Things their manifestations of wonder can be. Wonder is commonly cast in the form of sudden small weather events, animal swarms, some piece of the room warping, a freak yet realistic accident, a freak UNREALISTIC accident due to warping, clownish shenanigans (like pulling 30 fuckin miles of cloth from your pocket even though that shit wasnt there before), something in the room suddenly gushing water, etc. of course, they get WAY more dangerous and complex, but thats the general common gist

ACTUALLY for a good example of media using Wonder - think of Discord from MLP as a VERY VERY strong Wonder user! also maybe the entirety of Alice in Wonderland. that'd be a whole Wonder user get-together

Wonder is a VERY fickle and VERY hard to use sembla, which is why good Wonder users are an absolute force to be reckoned with. Average wonder users (good example of an average or bad wonder user, Shmendrick the Magician from The Last Unicorn) are just sorta seen as silly lil magicians, or are kwaiz who prefer brawn over fancy psionics; only using said psionics to give a good ol jumpscare when you least expect it
