My latest project, featuring omanyte and omastar !
I wanted to find a way to feature cards that are a set, like these two. I think a frame works nicely! The text says "Praise Helix" in the Kanto region cypher found in let's go pikachu/eevee. I want to experement with this more before i start my bigger project.

sup. I’m not gonna be posting for a bit. A friend died, I wanna focus on other stuff, other things too. I might like some things and I want to post the coloring once it’s done but besides that this, @unite-battle-network & @polteagueist are gonna be quiet.
Why this post is big? My friend (and me) was part of @/atypical-leaders now @monsion-no2. We agreed another person is gonna keep the blog since they were going to use one anyway and i get to post the info here. They said they’ll keep the posts but if that changes I’ll add them to this.
peace for now

The logo is an edit of pokémon revolution online. Don’t know why.
Here is the brief intros. Those who got ~more detailed bios have them linked by their name in the intros. I’ll write about the others here based on the notes. Meri & Archie don’t have much besides pkmn on the shared file so I’ll get them done first.
Meriwether’s challenge team was an excadrill (sandstorm), pelipper (rain), abomasnow (hail), walrein (rain), scovillain (sun & grassy surge). Love (mod) asked for help in psychic terrain but if there is anything on that I don’t have access. Meri was going to consider leaving the Leaders at some point
Archie has fossils for his team, dracovish & omastar & archaeops. Love was going to add paradoxes. He’s in a similar situation to Meri of leaving, kinda, he’s a minor leader (part time) so he didn’t hurt Bud by declining but also so he doesn’t have to be around them full time and he gets to do his job.
Daisy has a profile but since the character doesn’t type much Demi didn’t go into the team’s moves. Also since they aren’t fully done ig. I’m gonna straight ctrl c&v
Jyn = sweet kiss, lovely kiss, heart stamp, blizzard/avalanche.
Noct = hypnosis, dream eater, psycho shift, shadow ball
Forr = poison spikes?? I don’t know, Forres need more love but THIS IS WHY NO ONE ELSE LOVES YOU
Tox = toxic,
Chan = inferno, confuse ray, hex, dark pulse
Gimma used gimmicks like mega evos, gigant/dynamaxing, z moves, terrastilising. She is from Fiore, moved to Galar to do a trainer journey because their league is widely known and -maxing is unique to there & publicised and she wanted to experience it for herself. Learnt of other another region’s gimmick and went there and learnt of another and so on. Pokemon aren’t on there currently but Gimma was going to be another 4 pkmn challenge definitely including a swampert. She’s tied youngest with Sully, both 19. Demi & Min thought giving them a dynamic would be cool since she’s effectively a protag character while Sully is an evil team leader. How she would be able to -max idk. She has lots of bracelets. Demi’s really happy with her name.
Julienne used food ones. Challenge team was flapple, tsareena, slurpuff. Had 3 others in a vanilluxe (too injured), cherubi (too young), fidough (not interested in battling, tries play instead). Julienne owns a diner in Nimbasa. Name ideas include Pokébowl & Fraimon Diner & Frai Up. As mentioned by Other (mod), Julienne is intersex.
Hecate used ones that have different forms. They’re also all named after warhammer characters apparently. It’s team is Chakai the aegislash, Khorne the darmanitan, Tzeentch the ditto, Kairos the morpeko, Zuvassin the wishiwashi, and my personal favorite Nurgle the palafin. Hec was maybe gonna have a thing where it changes font. It’s generally cryptically verbose.
Sully was based on evil teams, kinda like how Team Yell work.? I haven’t played swsh. As opposed to the others who are all only leader battles, Sul has grunts who do general “look menacing and like your gonna cause trouble” things so trainers battle them, battling slightly stronger ones each time you beat the prior one until you get to him. His challenge is like a scavenger hunt I guess? Apparently the first batch of grunts give an option to join Team Evil and if trainers accept Sully is called to them to battle with his challenge team as they are when you fight him after beating his grunts. His team is Vierlence a hydreigon, Stiyx a clefable, a scizor, a nidoking, a milotic & an eelektross. He also has a service mon in Harma, a shiny spritzee that has healer ability & releases violent scent to encourage breathing, to help pulmonary fibrosis.
Buddy has an intro but I’d also had an idea to give them some traits that stemmed from their communal upbringing where they didn’t have a set parent, the people in the community center all cared for them when around. They ended up with a “people aren’t permanent in life, don’t get attached (but mons are fine because Jiji hasn’t left) but make the most of your time” philosophy which sometimes leads them to be overattached (right term?) and drive people away which reinforces the idea. This group of Atypical Leaders is their latest overattachment and others like Meri were possibly going to leave. As mentioned, Archie agreed to be part of the project to not hurt Buddy but on the condition of being minor so he could do other things.

Actually you know what, lemme give y'all the personalities of Legendverse! Green's pokemon.
Venasuar - Gentle soul, albeit a bit lazy. She likes to relax and take naps but is still a hard worker and is incredibly strong in battle!
Clefable - Matches Green's personality to a T. Helped insinuate a Clefairy uprising in mt. Moon. Cute, clever and very cheeky, Clefable is a valued member of the team
Omastar - Confused but got spirit. Can't blame him when he was brought back to life from being a fossil for so long. A very curious guy, though sometimes doesn't emote much.
Rapidash - Serious and prideful, with a bit of a temper. Is incredibly competitive, often challenging Dodtrio to race. He always loses.
Dodtrio - Despite having three heads, is arguably the most level headed of the group, and a surprisingly great strategist.
Gengar - Incredibly shy, scared of her own shadow half the time ( ironically). When in battle, however, she takes a whole new side to her,and becomes a vicious battler.
Ditto - silly little guy :) Often helps Green with her pranks and/or infiltration schemes ( don't worry about it). They're just happy to be here :)
Mewtwo - What you'd except from a Mewtwo. A grump with his guard almost always up. He is a softy though, often looking after Green so she doesn't get herself killed, and he does care for her and respects her as his trainer. Not that he'll admit that outloud. Surprisingly enough, given the context, Ditto was the first member of the team to successfully befriend him.

Omastar, the Spiral Pokémon.
Its heavy shell allowed it to reach only nearby food. This could be the reason it is extinct.
Diamond Gemspark - Unpainted, Deep Sky Blue, Shadow Sandstone Brick - Brown

Because I feel like it, here's me as a Gym Leader
Name: Tebra (As in: Invertebrates)
Type: Bug
TM: 81/60 X-Scissor
Gym Number: 8
Gym lay out: You have to travel through different terrain and avoid the hidden trainers in each section. If you get caught your highest level pokemon, on your team, will be taken from you, and you have to battle to get it back. If you lose, you're sent to the beginning and unable to use that pokemon against any gym trainers or the gym leader. Tebra prides themself on strategies built for each pokemon, and having one that falls apart if one pokemon is taken away is considered shameful and short sighted. Each terrain poses challenges and hints at one of the leader's pokemon, not their order however.
ROOM 1: Flood Room, where you have to either navigate and get out as quickly as possible to prevent drowning, your timer is 2 minutes before you pass out and drown(get taken back to the pokemon center), or you can use a pokemon move to temporarily give you time to give you breathing room for strategy instead of mindless flailing that will certainly lead you into a battle. Pokemon moves that will help in this room are: Pain Split(Halves the pokemon's HP to reset the timer to the full 2 minutes, can only be used once), Present (Can either fully restore the timer, restore a minute, or halve the remaining time. Use at your own risk.), and Safeguard (Stops timer for 30 seconds, 45 second cool down). Foreshadows Araquanid.
Trainer Pokemon: Tentacruel, Omastar(One is named Lord Helix as an easter egg), Octillery, and Toxapex.
ROOM 2: Infestation Room, there are eight trainers in this small room with four pokemon each, you're sure to run into one unless you're quiet. They act as wild pokemon, if they see or hear you, they will not hesitate to charge you down for a fight. The best move is to crouch down low and take your time, one wrong move and you'll have eight trainers lining up to battle you and take your pokemon, and no they are not against using Paraflinch tactics. In certain areas you'll be forced into Triple and Double battles if you're caught. You'll have a noise meter to make sure you're silent, however your clothing will factor in to how much noise you make, so make sure to choose your outfit wisely. This room is all about patience. Foreshadows Vespiquen.
Trainer Pokemon: Oricorio, Mandibuzz, Togekiss, and Swanna
ROOM 3: Smog Room, breathe in the air and you get poisoned, of course, you don't know this until you walk in. So it's a race against the poison, which will take effect in ten minutes. In that time you must work out a lengthy maze and also avoid trainers, which are posted at some wrong turns. Pokemon are effected as soon as they enter the room, inflicting the Sleep status, which will be reinflicted after each battle, but healed once the room is cleared. Foreshadows Scolipede.
Trainer Pokemon: Arbok, Seviper, Drapion, and Dragalge.
ROOM 4: Spirit Room, where ghosts are wandering around and will gang up on you, forcing you into triple battles if you aren't stealthy. Trainers here are sleeping in dark areas that make good hiding spots, make too much noise and it'll be a six on six battle. The reccomended strategy is to avoid the ghosts all together. Find hiding places until they pass, then go find the next spot. Do it quietly so the trainers don't wake. It's about being clever, silent, and executing plans. If you have a ghost type, you can release it so it can lead you to the end, guided by whispers from pokemon in the shadows who won't attack a fellow spirit. The caveat, however, is that trainers are more likely to jump you if you take the wrong path. Your pokemon must listen to the directions it is given, if it believes itself above directions you will most likely be put in the path of a trainer, who are woken by the ghosts when you send out a ghost pokemon, and will be forced into a six on six battle, and if you fail you're forced to do every room again. These trainers are far more ruthless than the ones in any other room. Foreshadows Shedinja.
Trainer Pokemon: Dragapult, Aegislash, Mismagius, and Sableye.
ROOM 5: Boulder Room, it's covered in rocks. You have a decision to make, brave the sandstorm and try to figure out the maze, or you can use your own rock types to knock down barriers and fight everything in your path so you don't have to be hurt by the sandstorm as much. Pokemon here generally are raring for a fight, but if you're not smashing things then they won't attack. Trainers will fight you if they see you. It's a balance between speed and subtelty, as the sandstorm has a very real possibility of knocking you out and transporting you back to the pokemon center. How much damage is done depends on what you're wearing. Foreshadows Shuckle.
Trainer Pokemon: Golem, Solrock, Gigalith, and Coalossal.
ROOM 6: Meadow Room, it's a field, the path to the gym leader is a straight shot....however, pokemon and trainers will chase you down. If they catch you you'll be forced into a battle. Grassy terrain is always up and the sheer number of pokemon and trainers usually leaves people battered despite the simple path. There are fifteen trainers. The roof is too low to allow for any flying to escape, so you've gotta run and dodge to the best of your ability, and also avoid traps set by various pokemon that want to catch you. It's a test of your physical ability; can you run? Can you dodge? Can you escape unscathed? It's just a little sprint, can you do it? It's made deceptively easy to make the trainer cocky, then they take one step and all hell breaks loose. Foreshadows Leavanny.
Trainer Pokemon: Roserade, Whimsicott, Eldegoss, and Lurantis.
Pokemon:
Vespiquen
Gender: Female
Ability: Pressure
Held Item: None
Move Set: Toxic Spikes, Attack Order, Acrobatics, Heal Order
Araquanid
Gender: Male
Ability: Water Bubble
Held Item: Mystic Water
Move Set: Liquidation, Leech Life, Surf, Poison Jab
Shuckle
Gender: Female
Ability: Sturdy
Held Item: Heavy-Duty Boots
Move Set: Attract, Power Trick, Shell Smash, Earthquake
*Shuckle will only be sent out when the opposing pokemon is male, or as a last resort, never any other time.
Scolipede
Gender: Male
Ability: Poison Point
Held Item: Muscle Band
Move Set: Venoshock, Megahorn, X-Scissor, Facade
Leavanny
Gender: Female
Ability: Overcoat
Held Item: King's Rock
Move Set: Leaf Blade, X-Scissor, Swords Dance, Protect
Shedinja
Gender: X
Ability: Wonder Guard
Held Item: Bright Powder

So yeah, I view it as going all out for the final gym really. Make it exciting and a pain in the ass to prep you for the elite four.

How are you defeating Cliff atm? I can do Arlo and Sierra with only 2 pokemon, but Cliff is wiping the floor with me every time...
Hi! You’re in luck right now, because Cliff is currently standing at the Pokestop right outside my house, so instead of holding out for Sierra (I want a full evolution line of shadow and purified Beldums) I decided to have a look at what he’s got for me today.
Apparently the last time I fought him, I used Melmetal, Machamp and Torterra, so I went in with that team again. I almost always use Melmetal first (91% with Rock Slide), because the charge move is very quick and is also super-effective against his Pinsir, so by the time I got to his second Pokemon, Omastar, all his shields were gone. Torterra took care of that one easily and my charge move was ready to use straight away against his third Pokemon. Unfortunately, that was also Torterra. The charge move didn’t do enough damage, and my Machamp didn’t survive long enough to hit it either.
So, I went back in again, but this time, I swapped Machamp for Ho-Oh, because Flying and Fire are both super-effective against Grass. Which worked! I was out of shields by the time I got to Torterra and was worried he might get his charged move out first, but Ho-Oh pulled it off and now I have another Shadow Pinsir for my collection. :D
Tumblr media
Not shiny though. Maybe next time.
So basically - Melmetal with Rock Slide first to take out his shields and Pinsir, then type matching whatever he throws at you next because of course, what works for one team might not work for another. I use this handy-dandy chart to figure out what Pokemon might work best against him:
Tumblr media
I keep a printout in my phone in case I spot any of the leaders out and about, but for the most part, I tend to favour Machamp, Tyranitar, Lugia, Rhyperior, Gyarados, Ho-Oh and Torterra.
Hope that helps!

spider-man pokemon au
Peter contrary to popular belief doesn’t have any spider pokemon until after he creates his hero persona. His companion is actually a lil Furret Uncle Ben caught as a Sentret for Peter when he moved in. Her name is Furry and he has to live with that (he was like 5 or whatever of course he’d name her something like that). She probably goes out on spider things with him, she has her own costume and everything, and clings onto his back when he’s swinging. He does befriend a Spinarak during this time, but she’s more of a wild pokemon that just like hanging out with him.
Ben probably has a doggish pokemon, probably like a normal type, or something like a Growlithe. I can’t shake the idea of May having a Kangaskhan. It’s probably like a relatively small one, she helps May around the house a lot and is Mom.
Max definitely has a bunch of electric types that follow him around after his transformation into Electro. Just like hordes of wild pokemon that like to hang out around him. I like the idea of his partner being like a lil Pichu he dotes on. Just a babey.
Otto has an Omanyte you can’t change my mind. It evolves into Omastar a little after he becomes Doc Ock. As an Omanyte it’s shy and gentle with everyone, but after it evolves it stays very loving with its trainer but is an absolute bastard with everyone else. I can also see him picking up a Malamar later or something like a Porygon.
Norman has a shiny Glameow, she wears sweaters probably and is very spoiled. His partner tho is a Sableye. He also kept his wife’s Sneasel after she passed away and Sneasel is Sableye’s goth gf. I can’t tell if Sneasel is really big or Sableye is really small, but compared to her Sableye is teeny.
Harry has an Eevee for Symbolism tm and also because I can see him with a Flareon. He might also have a Poochyena. Eevee I can see Norm pressuring him to evolve it into an Umbreon, dark types are probably like a weird family tradition or something. Oh my god there’s exactly an episode in the first series about this oh my god anyway.
They have so many pokemon in that house I’m not even done why. do they. Anyway When Norman does Goblin things he meets a Gengar and a Crobat pair that lives in one of the lesser used Oscorp warehouses. Again they’re more like wild pokemon that like hanging out with a person, but they take a shine to him. When he goes out on Crimes they follow, Gengar floats just behind Crobat to look like he’s riding a glider and imitates all of Goblins moves, especially when he’s on a dramatic villain monologue. No one can tell if it just really likes him or is making fun of him. On mimicking/mirroring notes, his Sableye probably does the same thing with more mundane stuff. Like a toddler. When he’s doing paperwork it probably tries to do it too and has to be set up with like paper and crayons off to the side so it doesn’t try to do his work for him lmao. God I really love pets/pokemon mimicking their owners it’s so cUTE.
Mac definitely has a Drapion. He didn’t even get it after he started being Scorpion he just always had the lil guy. It was fate.
It’s hurting me so hard not to give JJJ a Loudred just for the Jokes tm. It physically pains me not to. I can see him also having a small bird like a Fletchling. He sends it through the office with little notes that say shit like “get back to work” for when he can’t come out to yell Personally. No one blames the little bird though and most give it a little pet before it flies off again.
Speaking of birds yes Adrian has so many. He’s got maybe a Braviary or a Staraptor that looks just as old as he is. I’m leaning towards old grey shiny Staraptor but I love Staraptor so I’m kind of biased. Smaller bird pokemon probably follow him around when he’s flying and doing crimes, like the little fish that hang out under mantarays and whale sharks. Flying under the shadow of this Bigger Bird who doesn’t do anything to them to protect themselves from Less Friendly Big Birds.
MJ has a Charmeleon definitely. Maybe also a Lillipup but deffo a Charmeleon.
I can see Gwen with dragon types. A little Dratini maybe.
That’s literally all I can think of at this point but like. Spider-Man Pokemon AU.

Top 10 Kanto Pokémon
Decided to post this for Let's Go Pikachu and Let's Go Eevee. I ordered Pikachu for various reasons which I'll likely explain later. For now, enjoy. ^^
This is 100% personal opinion, so if that bothers you feel free to rant on YOUR OWN Tumblr and not mine. Thanks!
Number 10 - Omanyte
Praise be unto him. Seriously though, Omanyte was always an interesting Pokémon, with a cute face to boot. It always made me struggle to choose a fossil and evolves into the admittedly creepy Omastar so it makes this list.
Number 9 - Porygon
I just really like Porygon's concept as a whole. A paper crane made of blocks that travels through cyberspace is pretty cool. I like the color scheme, various evolutions, and most notably the odd and unusual moveset Porygon has.
Number 8 - Meowth
How could I forget the Coin Prince of Crime? I adore Meowth, and his personality really came out in the anime. Likewise, I'm very fond of Persian and the concept of Maneki Neko in general, so it made the list. Alolan Meowth and Alolan Persian quickly rose to be some of my favorite Dark Types, with their gray fur and beautiful blue eyes.
Number 7 - Gengar
Gengar has always been one of my favorite Pokémon. It has pretty cool moves, an awesome Mega Evolution, and an all around creepy lore of it being Clefable's shadow making it number 7 on the list. Little cliché, but it is what it is.
Number 6 - Rapidash
Rapidash has always been an awesome Pokémon. I was one of those little girls who always wanted a pony and loved unicorns so it's no surprise it made this list. Rapidash is one of the fastest Pokemon around, and the anime episode The Great Race still holds a place on my favorite episodes list.
Number 5 - Eevee
Eevee makes the list because it has endless possibilities. Eevee holds the record for most evolutions at 8, spanning 9 different Types and sporting an absolutely adorable face. If I had an Eevee if would probably be too pudgy from me constantly feeding it PokéPuffs, because gosh are they cute.
Number 4 - Arcanine
Arcanine is really an amazing Pokémon. Extreme Speed makes it very fast and it's definitely a powerhouse. I used mine to completely sweep White 2, and there has always been something elegantly intimidating about the design I just loved. I also love Fire Types, so that was a plus.
Number 3 - Vulpix
Vulpix to me has always been a very pretty Pokémon, and I love its design. I may not be overly fond of Alolan Vulpix, but it has certainly opened up new avenues for this Pokémon. My dislike is based entirely on Type, so I will admit Alolan Vulpix and Alolan Ninetails are beautiful incarnations of the original design and deserve their own praise.
Number 2 - Dragonair
I will forever love Dragonair. Its evolution to Dragonite doesn't really make sense to me, but Dragonair will always be a favorite of mine. To me this Pokemon is the epitome of beauty, grace, and purity. I could list endless reasons just why I find it so beautiful. The long and elegant body, the large dark eyes, the sparkling crystal orbs.
Number 1 - Charizard
It may be cliché, but Charizard holds a special place in my heart and is my favorite Pokémon of all time. I loved fantasy and dragons as a kid and Charmander was my first Pokémon. Charizard was the Pokémon that really made me love Fire Types. It's naturally a complete powerhouse, with two Mega Evolutions and a roster of moves spanning multiple Types. Its easily recognizable appearance, Typing, and moveset place it at the top of many a list of the most popular Pokémon of all time.
