the essay you posted about the sonic fandom struck a chord with me as someone just joining the fandom. Sonadow has already helped me start to embrace parts of me that I was ashamed of or didn’t understand even though prior to joining, I thought I knew who I was and felt no shame about my identity (it turns out I still had a stick in my ass, who would’ve thought?)

There’s something so warm about your post that really made me feel like my experience was understood, an experience I haven’t even begun to grasp until you put into words.

I don’t really have the bandwidth to write a whole essay as to why yours means so much to me or what parts of it really resonated with me, but your words have left a positive impact on me. Thank you.

metal, about shadow: that is my charge. my responsibility. if anything happened to him i would kill everyone in this room and then self-destruct. i am not even capable of self-destructing, but i would Learn. then i would have my caretaker repair me so i can track them down and do it all over again. he is everything. he is my purpose.

Eggman has a soft spot for Tails is getting more and more confirmed.

First he COMPLIMENTED HIM in Final Horizon and pretty much encouraged him.

Then, he goes "I don't do hugs... Unless it's for you, Tails." In the takeover.

Then he gets all teary when Tails gives him a compliment during the takeover.

AND NOW, HE GIVES HIM A GIFT. I know Tails is the one who gifted him first, but even so, HE FELT THE NEED TO GIFT TAILS BACK. AND AND AND even when Tails used the gift against him he still respected it and left. THE CUPOM WORKS!!

Also, love how Tails was the one to gift Shadow. And you can't tell me that Shadow didn't like that scarf.

Those are small things, but I love how Tails is finally getting the love, appreciation and respect he deserves after being potrayed poorly and even ridiculized for so many years. Our fox boy deserves this.

How do you feel about shadow?

I actually like Shads a lot, even if he's almost always a total edgy jerk.

Every time we come across, I like to tease Shads so we can fight. And why do I want us to fight, you may be wondering? Well, with him I always learn something new. Somehow he learns a new fighting technique like,, every week? So I like taking the chance to learn it as well even if he isn't very aware 😉

Shads just keeps me alert, which a lot of people can't do. And surprisingly, against what a lot of you believe, our personalities really match the others.

Right after the shatter verse events, Shadow was determined to teach me how to use a gun. I obviously complied, and thanks to those ocasional meetings I've taught Shadow to let loose and have fun, while he has taught me not be as reckless and stay alert.

We complement the other, oh and going on missions with him is always fun! A new perspective, you know??

I just wish he didn't isolate himself that much. Maybe that way he wouldn't be such an emo 😆
