Alright, so I just finished season 4 of the dragon prince, and I know everyone is wondering why the hell Viren was able to adopt Terry (and Sir Sparklepuff) yet not able to speak to his own son. I was frustrated as well, as I've really been enjoying his characterization this season as seeming apprehensive and somewhat scared of what Claudia has been doing, and I wondered if this would lead to regret for his past actions.
I don't think that Viren will get a full redemption arc, but I do think that he probably didn't speak to Soren because he felt shame and confusion for how he treated him, and it was easier to just ignore his presence than acknowledge what he put his son through. With Claudia so intent on restoring Viren's life, it must serve as some hope that he was doing the right thing, however as he sees Claudia's descent into darkness, he becomes less and less sure of his past actions and feels more guilt that he can't bring himself to face. Seeing Soren is the personification of all that doubt, and he's just not...strong enough to face it yet.
Terry has not had any history with Viren; Terry serves as an exploration as the father Viren could have been to Soren, had he not been obsessed with power. Terry is silly and goofy and even irritating to Viren, and yet even with that, Viren is able to show some form of affection, however small.
I have a feeling Viren's story is going towards a Shadoweaver-type end, where no one really forgives him because his actions are irredeemable, and he's not a good person, but he is capable of love and care for his friends and family. I think come next season, we will get that conversation between him and Soren. I don't think that it will be wrapped up nicely in a bow, but I think Viren's complex feelings toward his son that he's developed will be vocalized and will lead to a turn.
On that note, I'm reminded of Soren's speech about his father being evil last season and his eagerness and pride in being one of the "good guys" this season. I love Soren, and he's grown a lot in this show, and I think he still has room for even more growth. He was able to escape his manipulative father (and please don't confuse my desire for a Viren-Soren talk for a need for Soren to forgive his father), and his perspective of the world changed drastically. But it's clear that he currently sees things in black and white, good and evil. He wants to pull Claudia to "the good side", his father is "evil". And in the time he captured Claudia, he only told her not to do something because it was wrong and evil instead of trying to understand why she would do something he sees as evil.
Anyway, this season was a lot of interesting setups, and I'm very curious to see where the writers take it.

Quick question….. WHERES TERRA???
I shall now submit my theory on how Terra will be similar to SPOP’s Shadoweaver and be the morally grey survivor.

Okay, but someone needs to do a rewrite of this from Catra's perspective on Shadoweaver...

Do you think Glimmer should have killed Catra? Was Shadow Weaver more redeemable then Catra? The second part is a lot of controversial to say for obvious reasons but at the same time you also said things like she isn't like a simple victim and there's the fact that she is responsible for why Queen Angela is dead because she almost destroyed the universe all because Adora "betraying" her
I don’t think Glimmer should have killed Catra. Firstly because it’d be a bit out of character for her. At this point while she has been shown to be impulsive and prone to anger, she has also been shown to be against killing, and secondly because Bow would never be able to look at her the same way again if she legit killed someone, and she knows it. Not to mention how ADORA wouldn’t be able to look at her the same way either knowing she killed Catra. Yeah, Catra is viewed as their enemy, but killing Adora’s childhood friend? Glimmer wouldn’t be able to do that, not by that point in the story. Leave her to die? Maybe (I mean she basically does during the time when she’s listening to Shadoweaver), but not kill her personally, not unless there was no choice. Yeah, she’s responsible for Angela’s imprisonment between dimensions, but well, firstly, that was Angela’s decision and Glimmer knows it, and secondly, Glimmer values her friends more than she values petty vengeance. Not to mention, Angela wouldn’t want her daughter committing murder over her and Glimmer knows this as well.
And Shadoweaver? Absolutely fucking not. She was not more redeemable than Catra. XD Redeemable? Sure, after a while, and she did do a redeeming act in the end, but Shadoweaver caused a lot of harm, abused both Catra and Adora severely and didn’t even try to make up for it until it was either do so or everyone dies. She was pretty shit as far as her “humanity” goes. Still, I do think given the opportunity she could be redeemed. It would take a lot tho. And she’d have to do so much for Adora and Catra.

Gods that scene where Catra, in S3 "Remember", holds onto Adora and says "stay with me" just breaks my heart. Her hesitation in asking Adora what she wants. Her full, complete buy in of this "perfect" reality. Not perfect because of that power she's always saying she wants, heck, Adora is succeeding in CATRAS perfect reality, in their shared perfect reality. It's perfect because... Adora stayed. She stayed. For once in her life she stayed. Except she doesn't. Even here... she leaves.

Perfuma: *Holding a box* Queen Angella is having everyone do an exercise. You’re supposed to put all your negative feelings and things you don’t like in this box
Glimmer: Can I put Shadoweaver in the box?
Perfuma: No
Adora: Can I put Shadoweaver in the box?
Perfuma: No one is going in the box

The desperation in Crowley's and Catra's actions:
Catra runs away, then puts up a physical fight, then cries and asks Adora what she REALLY wants, implying, in the process, what Catra herself actually wants.
Crowley gets angry, and then he gives Aziraphale a bitter, rough kiss in a last attempt to get him to stay. In a last attempt to get him to understand that he wants him.
The naive ignorance behind Adora's and Aziraphale's:
Adora thinks that trusting Shadoweaver and freeing the magic is the best and only thing to do because she wants to save Etheria. She tosses her own interests aside to save the planet, including Catra.
Aziraphale thinks that trusting the Metatron and going back to Heaven is the best thing to do because he wants to make life on earth better. But he also wants to make Crowley's life better, he wants for him to be happy again.
What neither Adora nor Aziraphale understand is that the only thing Catra and Crowley need in order to be happy is them.
If Adora sacrifices herself to save Etheria, Catra will be alive but she will never be happy again.
If Aziraphale goes back to Heaven, with or without Crowley, the latter knows that Zira will just be manipulated into falling out of love for him. Becoming another Gabriel. Crowley remembers how the "good side" treated him before he fell. He remembers how it treated Aziraphale before he said "enough". He doesn't want for any of it to happen, ever again.
Both Catra and Crowley know that they're gonna lose Adora and Aziraphale if they listen to them, and then come to understand that they'll lose them anyway.
I'm bitter af right now.

Watching Owl House i really liked we have luz noceda as autistic. The show acknowledge her flaw mistake and treat her with respect. SPOP its a unfortunate because i really liked seeing the diverse cast but the diversity on disability and neurodivergent is just not great
Entrapta being treated like that make me frustrated then with shadoweaver i dont like a bit but the villain and antagonist the one who have face scar just make me dissapointed. None of the ally for shera have any person who have psyhical scar
Owl House and Murder Drones both of these show give me the least headache on their writing. Murder Drones I want them to be popular
I havent finished The Owl house, but from what I heard, Luz is good representation.
I wish Murder drones was more popular too ;-;
