so, I get sick of the mtg official story links going dead on me constantly, and that's not even to mention the fact that one day WotC could just decide to be funny and take them down forever

SO I have started copying down these stories from their website and saving them to my PC as well as Google Drive, as docx and epub files. They're up for free on WotC's website anyway, so if WotC has a problem with this, uhhhh eat my ass idk what to tell them

So far, I only have Shadows Over Innistrad (which includes Eldritch Moon), but I'm going to be adding more in as time goes on.

I ADMIT the formatting is a bit funky on these, because... well frnakly I am one person and I don't want to edit the formatting of 300+ pages worth of story. I've saved the pictures, it's largely the pictures that bloat the page length so much, but attempting to edit each picture to resize it and make it inline with the text is misery, so I just left them as they are and decided the page length can just be wild.

If anyone else wants to take a shot at it, be my guest and I'll add the files to the folder - but I'll be adding some steadily as time goes on.

Everyone who's like "(Plane) is RUINED FOREVER following the Phyrexian invasion and it's such a waste :(" remind me of Sorin and Nahiri in Shadows over Innistrad.

Nahiri woke up to find her plane was under attack by the Eldrazi and having a bad time of it, she immediately said "RUINED FOREVER" and decided to get revenge.

Likewise, Sorin saw Emrakul descending on his plane, how madness and mutation had taken so many people and even the very landscape, so he said "RUINED FOREVER" and fucked off to fight Nahiri.

In both cases people were fighting. People who could have used the support of the most powerful planeswalkers still alive. They're willing to declare ownership of an entire plane, but then when things get ugly, rather than trying to fix it, they just decide it's too scuffed up and write it off as a lost cause.

My first set(s) was the return to Innistrad - so the sets of Shadows Over Innistrad and Eldritch Moon. I still have the first deck I built for myself, a Red-Green Wolf/Werewolf deck.

My favorite set, however, is Streets of New Capenna. Demons in suits? I'm already barking.

I cannot quite recall his title, but I see him. His face ripples with leeches, slithering just beneath the skin. He reeks of blood.

"Avacyn," he says. "I need you to come with me down to the cellar. You'll see what I must do, if you'll just wait for a moment—"

"My mission never waits," I answer. I hurl the holy magic at him, and it hits him full in the chest.

The vampire is unmoved.

"Avacyn," he says. "The cellar. We have business we must attend to."

"Sorin," says one of the creatures, her empty eyes directed to the vampire. "You can help her, can't you?"

"Silence," he snaps, and the demons jolt with the force of his voice. He turns to me again. "Listen to me. If you have some grievance with these two, you may kill them before we begin."

The two fiends look at each other.

"But I won't permit you to leave this place until our business is concluded."

Quick thoughts on Shadows over Innistrad Remastered...

I'm not very impressed. It's just a very small, select group of cards from the SOI and EMN. It's seems like smaller pool of cards than other Remastered sets. Cards from SOI and EMN that have been marked as Explorer-legal way before now and actually not in Explorer, still remain not in Explorer. Cards that really should have been included in the Remastered set, weren't included. It's just a really short-sighted venture in the card selection. I really don't like how they say they won't include cards that do the same thing as other cards in Explorer and yet there's a ton of examples of same mechanic/ability cards already in Explorer. And the number of cards with Delirium is so small. It's just a fail.
