I need elementary school Black History month projects! I can't do a lot of edu leading up to it, bc i just get them for like an hour for projects.
I'd love to highlight pre colonial Africa, and Caribbean cultures, but while I found so much fun stuff they just don't fit into my limits.
There are some fun good coloring sheets that feature American black historic figures, like Bessie Colman (1900s aviatrix) Jesse Owen's (amazing 1930s track olympiad), Misty Copland (modern balleriana), and if I were brave I'd do Marsha p Johnson (2slgbtqiaa activist and Stobewall rioter), and Malcolm x (black liberation) and frankly I might. I'll also play them Robert Johnson's album.
I'm also thinking of Mardi Gras. Like making masks and beaded necklaces.

In the Everlark relationship, who do you think is top and who do you think is bottom? 😉 asking in regard to the bedroom, but you can expound on other situations! Thanks a bunch! ❤️
Hi Nonny,
Hmm...I think they are equal.
On the topic of recreational bunny hopping, I think that they were probably vanilla at the beginning of their relationship. Just because of everything they went through.
After they get comfortable in their relationship they begin to play and they have rules and safe words. And sometimes K is on top and sometimes P is on top. And sometimes nobody is on top...
When they have kids though - it's all about the clandestine hot heavy can't make noise because they'll find us.
And sometimes it isn't about the boom-shaka-laka.
It's about intimacy - holding the other in the middle of the night. Cuddling, holding hands, spooning, and laughing about something dumb that their kids did or said. It's the lingering stares across the dinner table. Having conversations without speaking.
It's being a team in bed, out of bed, and in life. I really think Katniss and Peeta are a team.

The intertwined stories of Buddha and Zerofuku are an emotional carousel. This is the case when it is not boring to watch, despite the fact that all the twists and turns have already been discovered. I cried, laughed and worried all the way. In short. Powerful dramaturgy.
When I read the manga, I realized that Zero is the only realistic kin that I have ever seen in fiction. (Ha ha, ha ha, ha ha). And I love Buddha. (Obviously). I would like to be like him, but still I am far from this state. However, we are talking about artistic images. Who can ever be like Buddha? Nobody.
It's funny to me that original name of the character is Shaka. Perhaps for the reason that he has a personal name, and not an impersonal one, because a buddha is a status. But Shaka (Shakya) is his clan name, the name of the family he abandoned for freedom. That's tricky.
As for my expectations for future events: 1) I hope the authors will return Shaka's eye! (Not necessarily magical one. It's unlikly, but please). 2) I hope Shaka finishes off Beelzebub. Of course, for mercy's sake! (Well, we already know Beelzy's tearful story).
Shuumatsu no Walküre is the whale that has kept me going for the past year and a half. And it's like… you never know where you'll find love. Because it was completely by accident, and I will write about it another time.
P. S. I like Venti, so I was pleased to hear familiar voice, great job with aggressive intonations.

Ok so like, imma do some voice acting stuff for a small visual novel game thingy, and I was wondering if I could get some advice for voice acting? If it's possible, I think it could help me out and stuff lmao :3
[*Clown honk*]
honestly, i'm still pretty green so take what i say with a grain of salt but here's my general "so you wanna be a voice actor schpiel." might go too big picture, but hopefully folks find it useful!
it's long so check out the stuff below the cut
in the booth:
number one thing for me is having fun!! getting wrapped up in how good im doing, if things sound right, whether or not i'm present, etc. is always a slippery slope. going back to just PLAYING AROUND is always when i do my best work. there's a lightness to it, for me!
make sure your mic etiquette is strong, you want to be about the distance from your thumb to your pinky from the mic in like a shaka brah pose. avoid hitting plosives (like b,p,t,k sounds-- anything that sends air directly onto the mic) too hard. stuff like that! It's mostly learned through practice.
if you're in a live session, ask questions!! and don't get too down on yourself when you miss the mark, we all do! it's part of the process.
if you're self-directing.. you gotta also ask questions but then you yourself have to provide those answers. encouraging yourself to make fun and SPECIFIC choices is really important!
if you have the opportunity to read the script before hand, get familiar and do some text work! i'm formally trained so i fall back on that a lot when i have the time to work with text (esp for auditions)
general advice:
TAKE CLASSES. as many as you can afford to. there are some really great places that offer low-price, high quality classes to marginalized groups (like Queer Vox Academy. who I work with).
READ OUT LOUD EVERY DAY. from books, newspapers, etc. anything. reading makes you a better actor and reading out loud helps practice other skills.
dee bradley baker (of dee bradley baker fame) has a GREAT WEBSITE with lots of tips.
Voice acting club (run by kira buckland) is also a great resource.
skillshub is another great resource.
i still don't have an agent (never have had one... again, im semi-new to this!), so you can book big projects without it, clearly. worry about your acting before you worry about the business.
get a demo (and DO pay a pro for it because it's worth it to have one that sounds really good). BUT ONLY when you have a trusted professional (teacher, coach, etc) tell you you're ready.
most important thing if you wanna go pro is NEVER GIVE UP. the difference between the people who work and the people who don't is that at some point one of them stopped trying.

1, 7, and 15 for the ask thing :3
favorite character/s and why
Have you met my boy Zelik I love him it's cause he's so ridiculously hot and tailored to my specific taste it's unfair
I've been thinking a lot about Niko from Caligula like I. I just really love her and how she's handled. I need to post some of my brain dumps about her on my site cause I think a lot about how her issues and how they reflect in her actions and how she reacts to killing Marie and I can't. Spoil anything here but God. God. Characters that cause me so much brain.
Been thinking about Sweet-P a bit again (I love her but she took a backseat for a bit) and specifically the tone like. A lot of ppl complain about the handling of Sweet-P but [Hello I am Caligula defender#1] but specifically like. The discussion of if the path to what you think you wants makes you miserable constantly - if it is painful and horrible - you can just quit. Perhaps you should just quit. Maybe you should find ways to be happy that aren't painful and don't feel suffering is necessary. And specifically the way that that's not like tied to her gender its very much about this concept of having appearance goals. [continues talking for a few hours]
And since he's in my icon; I like Ike-P cause he's a dramatic bitch- and also the dysmorphia is serious.
7. unpopular ship/s you like
We could be here a while; Kai/Ren from CFV (No Aichi Never Aichi), Lavi/Krory, Kuroto/Emu, Parad/Emu, Z/Right, Sougo/Heure Benetnasch Eta Mime/Phoenix Ikki, Saga/Shaka, Shura/Shiryu, Adam/Langa, and more I'm stopping with the Saint Seiya plague
15. hot fandom take?
The entire drama of "waaa Shoutarou and Philip is problematic" is a load of nonsense when the show goes so aggressively on ship baiting htem and Shoutarou doesn't have a canon age and Philip is a digimon like. They are very clearly meant to be close enough in age. The whole thing is so silly and feels like one person kicked up shit because they didn't like the ship and wanted to justify themselves.

speaking of artstyle what's your fave fgo artist actually? personally for me it will always be pako but wado is close too, though the artist i hate with a passion has to be raita (chests do not work like that!!!) I do like takeuchi's artstyle but i'm on you that his designs for some characters are very bland, while some designs do slap its very hard to not see some of his characters as not artoria/saberfaces bc of his history esp for the girls.
To quote myself: "Raita designing masc characters: KINGS ALL AROUND. Raita designing fem characters: Warcrimes in art form"
and yeah them constantly making up-themselves "saberface" """jokes""" only ever weighs down if not outright disrespects what should be independent characters (We should kill people who call Lakshmi "choco jeanne" <3)
as for fav artists, there's honestly so many at this point it's hard to pick but i'm not gonna count Pako because that would be unfair to everyone else. That said,
Favorite one-off artists:
Teita (Asclepius)
Shaka P (Crane)
Lack (Izou)
Motomurabito (Columbus)
La-na (Vritra)
Favorite recurring artists:
Danciao (Ivan)
Azusa (Caeneus)
PFALZ (Salieri)
Takahashi Keitarō (all of them)
TAKOLEGS (all of them)
Shimaudon (ALL OF THEM)

Quote
bIQ'a'Daq 'oHtaH 'etlh'e'
Klingon idioms
bIQ'a'Daq 'oHtaH 'etlh'e' the sword is in the ocean KGT p. 121 This is used to mean that something has ended; that it is impossible to return to a prior condition.
Basically Shaka, when the walls fell.
Origin: This is a symbol from the legend of Kahless and Morath. Kahless fought his own brother, because Morath had broken his word. Morath had murdered Ondagh, his father, for the family sword. As Kahless cradled his dead father, Morath threw the sword into the sea.
That was the last time the brothers spoke to one another. Only, later on, Kahless went down to Grethor to redeem Morath and bring him to Sto-vo-Kor.
