"you've got to be more careful," she mutters with an uncharacteristically serious look on her face as she rubs some weird healing balm on your bruised hand. it's cold and makes your hairs stand on end-- but the sight of her taking care of you like this is enough to stop the slightly unpleasant feel of it all. you were so used to seeing her with a large grin as she rants about her newest trap and what she was going to name it, or maybe with pure anger as solomon dodges yet another one of her traps that the frown that decorates her face makes your heart twist guiltily for making her worry. though you have to admit, it does look cute on her. it makes you want to kiss it away.

"i promise it isn't as bad as it looks, i've dealt with worse y'know," she doesn't smile at your little quip, her frown deepens and she stops gently massaging your injury.

"i just... don't like seeing you hurt," she hesitates like she isn't sure she should be saying this at all. her eyes don't meet yours and instead are back to focusing on your hand, though try as she might-- she can't hide the charming pink that creeps up to her cheeks.

then all of a sudden, she feels a pair of lips on hers. eyes widening in shock, she doesn't have time to respond in the way she would have liked (bashful yet cool, totally not completely in love with this plain but lovely human that woefully captured her heart without even really trying) before you pull away.

"i'll try not to, no promises though~" your cheeky smile does nothing to help with the reaper's blush.

This power couple can go several ways:

Three idiots sharing one brain cell

The responsible one and their two idiots

Just a couple of Tsunderes

Detention buddies

Hopeless romantic idiots sending familiar to watch their beloved in another realm

Expect to get into a lot of mischief, whether creating it or somehow getting dragged in

Before going out together, you all group call to figure out whether to match somehow but all of you always ending with some kind of alternative or indie fashion

You have been called serval times to come pick them up when they cause trouble then listen to them dispute who started it

Also get ready for those cuddle sessions and having to switch spooning postions ever so often, and for how warm you get

Mammon seems the kind of guy to always stay warm, even though he sleeps naked, and Thirteen seems warm from working with candles all the time and her hair will get you warm if you snuggle too closely

Mammon buys you two a gift like matching rings, nothing like engament rings, but something so you all can look at and feel together

Perhaps Thirteen drops off some desserts Luke made for you two, making sure to trap them so no one else eats the sweets

When you’d be at the human world, you’d get videos and calls of the two of them making sure you’re eating and taking care of yourself before it goes into an argument between them for cutting the other off or doing something like a prick in the background

Having to understand when either doesn’t feel like talking about their sibling(s) or listening them out sometimes

Maybe you’ll see times Thirteen helping Mammon figure out if he wants a tattoo or Mammon getting Thirteen some expensive haircare items

Expect to randomly walk in on them one night watching a horror movie with Mammon clinging on to Thirteen’s arm and Thirteen laughing

Dear Diavolo help whoever decides to question or saying something about you because you’re a mortal, in a flash from fifty feet a squid would be launched and soon they’re being pummeled

Imagine telling them you’re going over to Purgatory Hall since Solomon invited you over since you’re his apprentice, both of them begging you not to go because his food will kill you and because they either hate/suspicious of him

Oh and the angst: a mortal and their two immortal lovers

How are they meant to move on? The tiniest things remind them of you. Being together reminds them of the shared time with you. They grieve differently, Mammon would visit your grave and leave you flowers as daily as he can while Thirteen probably feels some kind of resentment or sadness deep within herself for watching your candle burn out and not being able to do anything. How do they help each other heal? Would they ever heal? Maybe you were the glue keeping them together and they drift apart.

The bisexual in me is screaming to write this, so bare with me—

Getting into a truck with Thirteen and drive around till it’s dark and aren’t really sure where you’re both are, though not caring to go somewhere specific

To stop in some grassy field and lower the windows down as Thirteen opens the bed of the truck and you both lay there

Soft alternative or indie music playing while we look up at the stars and vent or just talk

Talking about how Thirteen doesn’t really talk to her older sister Candy before a long silence

Looking over at Thirteen, her green eyes gazing at the starry sky, her pink and purple ombre hair tickling your face a little

Her eyes then focusing on you, gazing at you as the light of the moon and stars reflect in her eyes

An audible gulp as you sit up with a red face, saying the two of you should head back

Instead Thirteen sits up as well, gently turning your face to look at her

Heart beating frantically as you dig your nails into your palm as you swallow hard and seem shaky

Thirteen gently whispering if she could kiss you

Nails digging into your palm more as you look from her eyes to her lips, imaging what they could feel like against yours which you’re currently anxiously biting

Nodding to give her permission as she leans in, kissing you as your breath seems to quicken anxious that she doesn’t mind your bitten cracked lips with the faint taste of the chapstick you use

You both part as she seems to laugh how red your face is before heading back into the truck

You purse you lips together still feeling the warmth of her lips and the taste of her raspberry lipgloss

You then join her in the truck before driving back

Everything we know about Barbatos so far, lore wise.

WARNING: SPOILERS FOR ALL SEASONS

➤ He lives in the Demon Lord's Castle with Diavolo and works as his loyal butler. (swd: 2-13)

➤ He's one of the demons who share a pact with Solomon. (swd: 2-A)

➤ According to Mammon, he has a secret torture room beneath the castle from where you can hear the screaming of his victims at night. The other brothers and Diavolo were in the room when he told this to MC but none of them batted an eye or tried to deny it. (swd: 6-19)

➤ Before, citizens of the Devildom were allowed to easily travel to the Human World whenever they wished through passages placed in certain locations in the kingdom, but now those passages are blocked and the only way demons can use them is by getting permission from the few other demons who are still allowed to use them freely first. Barbatos is one of said demons. (swd: 11-4)

➤ He has the ability to time travel thanks to his powers that allow him to create a portal to any place, time and reality he wants. (swd: 15-17 and 53-11)

➤ He was the one to take MC back to the past when they made a deal with Diavolo to figure out who had opened the attic door and released Past!Belphegor in exchange for Present!Belphegor's freedom from being imprisoned for conspiring against the exchange program. (swd: 15-17)

➤ He looked into MC's bloodline under Diavolo's request once the prince realized there was something special about them, and it was then that he found out that they were Lilith's distant descendant. (swd: 16-15)

➤ In response to MC asking him if he knew everything that would happen with Belphegor getting out of the attic before it occurred Barbatos said that no, he didn't know, and even further said: "Imagine for a moment what it would be like to know everything that will happen from now until the end of time. ➤ He met Solomon a long time ago when the sorcerer risked death to summon him (swd: 53-16), desperately needing his powers to control time for reasons that are still unknown. (swd: 49-A)

➤ He gave Solomon his grimoire out of trust and respect for him. (swd: 53-16)

➤ It's a big rumor around the kingdom that he's powerful enough to rival even the Demon King himself. (swd: 54-1)

➤ He met Diavolo when the prince was still a child and Diavolo got Barbatos to work for him by luring him into the castle with the promise of very rare tea and then telling him that he wouldn't let him leave unless he agreed to be his butler, getting to the point of even threatening to not assume his position of king in the future if the older demon refused to. And telling this story to Thirteen, Barbatos confessed to having found the whole thing very cute. (swd: 58-A and nb: 15-A)

➤ When it hit the news that he had sworn allegiance to Diavolo the whole kingdom was in shock and it was THE THING everyone was talking about. (swd: 54-1 and nb: 15-1)

➤ He has been around for a long time and shows up in historical records under multiple different names. Rumor has it he was alive even before the Devildom took shape. (nb: 15-1)

➤ When asked about Diavolo in a conversation with MC, he told them that the prince is the very reason for his current existence. (swd: 54-5)

➤ Narrated by Solomon in the Nightbringer Prologue Movie we hear the story of a certain demon, it goes: “Once upon a time, there was a demon who could see both past and future. With a flurry of trumpets from his king, the demon appeared. Finding a lost human the demon whispered: 'I can take you to where you'll be happy.' Through their tears, the human spoke: 'Thank you, o kind one. If you save me from this dark path, I will pray to you every night. Please, tell me what they call you!'" But before any reply can be said Barbatos is shown making a shushing sound, which was largely perceived as him not wanting the viewers to know that he was the demon from the story. Later, the human was revealed to be Adam, a man who came to the Devildom looking for his lover and met a demon named Nightbringer, who he immediately went to begging for help. (nb: 8-16)

➤ He was the one to give Solomon the title of “the Witty Sorcerer” when he brought him to the Fountain of Knowledge for the first time while Solomon was on the verge of death. Barbatos attended the sorcerer's wounds there and declared him the new protector of the spring. (nb: 11-10)

➤ He's to blame for how much Solomon has changed, according to Thirteen. The reaper told MC that Solomon used to be very loveably innocent when he was younger, but that Barbatos let him experience whatever he wanted and now nothing scares or fazes him anymore. (nb: 11-10)

➤ The reason he had been so irritable towards Solomon in the past was because when visiting the sorcerers' home he found a list of demons he wanted to make pacts with and noticed his name was placed 8th. (nb: 25-1)

➤ Before meeting Diavolo he used to use his powers freely to travel through time and space whenever he wanted without a care for how his actions could affect others, and they ended up terribly affecting Diavolo and Solomon, and Barbatos sees his devout servitude to the prince as a way to atone for those past actions, but Diavolo doesn't know that.
