valentines day pkmn wip ^_^

#im gonna put them on their own canvases and write a little abt their design insp and ideas #i had a lot of ideas but decided to go with the ones i felt worked strongest. although id love to go back to the ones that #didnt make the cut and see if i can rework them.. its a little hard to remember things that correspond to valentines day...!!!!#i wanted to do wedding dress gardevoir.. pearl necklace onix... romantic candle chandelure... heart balloon drifloon....#cherubird was supposed to be delibird but i found it hard to work around the santa theme without making it hard to recognize #so i decided to make it a new pokemon (fakemon?) entirely ^_^ based on seraphim doves and love letters #klefki is based on the pont de arcs bridge in france known for its lovelocks!! it collects charms like halves of best friend necklaces #lockets and lost wedding rings.. sawsbuck is based on tree carvings with lovers names and sakura branches #roserade is based on flower bouquets. i like how its design came out!! the body is supposed to look like a waistcoat #lopunny based on playboy bunnies. the fur on its wrists is supposed to resemble the cuffs. torso has the one piece suit #and their legs have the thigh high stockings. frogadier is based on romantic bubble baths with flower petals #tangela is based on curly old telephone wires that you twirl between your fingers when calling your lover kicking your feet in the air #decidueye has to be my fav though with the cupid theme. also used barn owls bc of the heart shaped face #i cant wait to finish these!!!! i can see these going on my portfolio for sure #my art #myart #pokemon #pokemon design #valentines day #wip #doodles

#eliot posts #toh #the owl house #toh edit #amity blight #amity with a nose like alador is an au that can be so personal #have you seen my child? well now you have #pls appreciate how difficult that grom one was #as i said in my post earlier today rambling about this #(this post brought to you by 'big ashkenazi jewish nose' haver gang)#these are a lil inconsistent compared to the later ones bc i was still figuring out exactly how i wanted it to look #i ended up settling on a design that's like 85% alador's nose and 15% her original nose i guess #bc copying his exact nose shape wholesale didn't turn out right with her facial proportions #bc her face is more short and her features are more round #unfortunately a lot of these earlier edits i don't think i did justice like her bridge isn't prominent in some of these #and it's not downturned #and ends up somehow looking like raine's nose???#my final design still ended up more triangular and sticking out more than alador's more rectangular nose #it just worked better like that for some reason #maybe because amity's design has more sharp triangular and soft circular shapes and doesn't really incorporate any sturdy square shapes?

And it's weird!#I had fun tho hehe ♪ I like the weird socket-like shapes all over in the brow and on the nose of the bridge #I kept Sans' mouth cartoony and I'm not sure how I feel about the slightly more realistic teeth on Papyrus hmmm #He does have that line in his text sprite! Beak child #Weird little style things all over lol #And finally some cool guys in sunglasses! Or - one cool guy and one silly fellow lol #I was inspired by some very lovely pieces with Sans and it made me want to try a slightly more dynamic pose #And that ended up introducing glasses and Papyrus needed to join in! Actively Tumblring again yet because i’m still not, 4 the most part, but i have had my ear to the ground for special interest things, of fuckign course, of course, bcuz i’m me, and i. just. i am .i’m so fucking sorry to all the new SM2099 comic fans who are only just now realizing just now how dire the straits are, here, LMAO. it has been this way for Years. earnestly and from the bottom of my heart i love spider-man 2099 so much and also nobody on the goddamn planet Cares About Him At All or can even fucking write him half-decently unless every single celestial bodie in the fucking milky way galaxy comes into perfect fucking syzygy, i think, i think, i think. why did u think we (me) had a psychotic episode after that fuckin movie dropped. fucksake. lord above. because it’s all always “ohhh being yourSELF and telling your OWN story your OWN way” until you Look A Certain Way and ARE A Certain Way and Have Symptoms That Look Frightening and Don’t Move Around Like ‘Normal’ People Should Move, fuckin’ freaky-ass creature beast-thing, and so on and so on and so on, Christ all-fuckin’-mighty. gets tiring. but. anywaygs.

it is far easier to be destructive, than constructive. so. ahem. sorry. refocusing. it seems quite simply that just yet another goddamn story missed the point that 90s future spider-man is a story about very plainly and simply loving each other as people. it’s a story about a severely depressed, miserable, cynical little man who finds new reasons to live in every kind person he meets, and there is an open earnesty to that, if nothing else, that no movie can take away 30 years later. anybody can decide to try and be a better person than the one they were yesterday, and that is goddamn important. to portray anything otherwise was an unfathomably cruel decision, on sony’s part, and as soon as we got trailer evidence that they were leaning into his more “intimidating” features back in ~dec. 2021, i.. pretty much Knew it was what they were gonna be doing with him. why wouldn’t they? i mean. who actually even cares about this obscure nobody, right? c-listers are the tried-and-true adaptational chameleons, anyways; they sure suckered in dumbasses like me, who still took blind hope in hook line and sinker, thinking he’d be important to the film, or at the very least portrayed sympathetically to his 30 years of established comic history as a character who is consciously aware that he is an adult survivor of fucking child abuse. but. c’est la fucking vie, i guess.

im playing a game, Kena bridge of spirits, literally just started, but this thought gripped me and I am making it your probem.

so (now on Ao3)

Jaskier is a spirit guide, his focus is his instrument. His job is to let spirits heal and move on, and Geralt is a spirit, but Geralt doesn’t know. The grief he carries from Blaviken festers in him, and he is unable to let go of the past, and Jaskier senses it. (also this is not meant to be mcd lol but Geralt is a spirit now). So Jaskier follows him, in Geralt's words, pesters him, forces him to work through his past, and Jaskier deals with what the festering manifests around them.

On the mountain, geralt lashes out, and jaskier is stuck up there to clean up the mess of the mountain, who is now grown dangerous, because of Geralt's outburst. When Geralt finally gets his head out of his ass, he realizes Jaskier never came down, and he has to go back up there and confront his past.

And maybe, like in Frozen, a shard of Geralt's pain hit Jaskier, and he is weakened. Until that shard is gone, he is unable to entirely cleanse the mountain and safely leave. And so, he becomes one with the rot, one with the pain. For Geralt to free Jaskier, he has to get up the mountain, that is now filled with shadows of both of their pasts; the abuse and the loss and the hurt and the loneliness they both carry.

When Geralt finally gets to Jaskier, he sees the bard is deeply entangled with it, the pulse of his pain is leaking into the ground, and Geralt sees the shadow of himself lash out, to fracture his hurt. His medallion is vibrating, he has never seen anything like this, but he has to fight through it, and make Jaskier wake up from whatever this is.

And Jaskier does wake, just enough to see Geralt succumb to his own shadows.

Geralt doesn't know really what jaskier is, just know that weird things happen around him,

so when Jaskier lifts his necklace, a crystal shaped like a tuning fork, and the air shimmers blue, and Geralt’s medallion vibrates, all goes black.

Eventually, Geralt awakens, and Jaskier is standing a safe distance away, with little spirits swarmed around his feet, clinging to his shoulders, and he is smiling at them.

Geralt has to acknowledge what Jaskier's task was, and what Jaskier risked, for him.

Eventually, Geralt awakens, not as a guide, but as a guardian, because now, because of the shard that jaskier carries, his shard, he can see what jaskier sees.

He sees the spirits, he sees the pain, and he finally sees himself.

They set out to find a little girl in Cintra, who is hurt and grief and pain, and so strong she can shake the foundation of the world.

#i love drawing him but honestly struggle with his face so much #it's hard to balance between his sharper and softer features. if that makes sense #like he has a lot of sharp features (nose/jawline/beard) but also has a slight babyface going on at certain angles/expressions #also it's so hard translating his nose shape into semi-realism bc like. on the model the bridge is super low #so on the model his nose is small low AND slightly hooked and it's hard to translate it?? god i really hope i'm making sense #sorry rant over i just studied the model a lot lol #crash bandicoot #neo cortex #dr neo cortex #doodle #my art #partial nudity #//the fullbody pose looks super weird bc of the labcoat lol. it's a hip tilt and looked good before the clothes💀
