#kingdom hearts 0.2 birth by sleep a fragmentary passage #kh0.2 #the world within #dwarf woodlands #realm of darkness #scenery #my gif #this world is interesting because it's so different from the rest #the sky looks like some sort of dome with triangular screens that project a broken glitchy sky #almost as if it takes place in some kind of data simulation #which i don't think is the case but it adds to the feeling of aqua's experiences here not feeling ''real''#i mean this place hardly even resembles what the original world is supposed to look like #like it changed to match aqua's psyche. forcing her to look at her own reflection and confront her own fears; doubts; guilt; and sadness #actually now that i think about it this feels extremely fitting for this world #it's like when snow white was running through the forest and was so afraid that it made the trees around her look alive and dangerous #except aqua has to wander this broken world and face her dark thoughts that take shape by looking exactly like her #she's constantly running in and out of mirrors into rooms that make no logical sense like the endless staircase and the pillar maze #there are ghostly echoes spoken in her own voice that mock her by saying no one can save her and no one wants to. it's chilling #i can't even say for sure if the phantom aquas are actually physically there or if it's all in her head #similar to how she'd see visions of terra and ven #she's such a tragic character

The University’s tree is blue. Its a big ass Palistrom tree

PROBABLY #I haven’t seen any other trees in the show coloured blue. but it has the swirls like Luz’s log #ALSO THE LIGHT GLYPH CARVED ABOVE EDAS OFFICE SNIFFLE #I’ve been seeing a lot of posts abt how the isles are recovering from Belos like removing the coven tattoos and #eda raine and king stomping on Belos. but I thought this was a nice callback #Belos didnt just hurt the people on the isles. he also destroyed a lot of stuff that was culturally important #palistrom makes companions and tools for people on the isles and Belos took all of it for himself. greedy bastard #ALSO if u notice on the banner above the University’s entrance theres a symbol shaped like a titan skull #and if you look at the scene with raine ever wolf and Darius you can see they have the same symbol as a badge or on Darius’ belt #so I assume that means the Isles also formed a new government after Belos died. the fact its shaped like the titan is also cool cause they #dont need to rely on some puritan to lead them pretending tk have their best interests in mind #the Emperors sigil doesn’t even have anything associated with the Isles in the first place either. its Belos imposing his own beliefs #yapping #the owl house #the owl house spoilers #toh #toh spoilers #toh watching and dreaming #watching and dreaming spoilers

Okay at this point I can admit I have thing for (over)protective characters so I’m all too happy to oblige lol.

Anyway, protective fae!Dick:

He doesn’t notice he’s being overprotective most of the time. When the people close to him mention a minor inconvenience his first instinct is to remove that inconvenience from the equation altogether. It’s a steep learning curve, because when Bruce first took him in he didn’t realize he’d have to stop Dick from killing half the Rogue gallery in the span of a few months. “But they hurt you,” he’d pout, “and it wouldn’t be really killing, anyway. I’m just… recycling them.” “…” “I could let them keep their consciousness—“ “N O”

Friends, while cherished, do not get to claim the same level of protectiveness. Dick would always come to their aid, of course, but for each request for help he keeps a tally mark in his head; accumulating favors. Only his family are exempt from this.

While there have been a couple close calls over the years, none will ever compare to the time he came back from a mission to find a member of his family gone. To this day Dick refuses to talk about the first couple weeks after he found out. And around the same time each year every plant and tree seems to wither and rot for a while before suddenly bursting back into full bloom. Jason has to return to the manor for this time each year, or Dick will absolutely track him down and drag him back himself. Neither he nor the manor lets him leave until Dick is back to his cheerfully self.

Any close calls with the family after that automatically result in several weeks of house arrest for the respective family member, courtesy of carnivorous deer and some over enthusiastic tree roots that enforce this rule with absolute prejudice.

If someone tries to kill a member of the family while Dick patrols with them/is close by, the only thing the batfam can do is damage control. Because while they can usually stop him from killing the perpetrator, it probably isn’t very ethical to allow a borderline eldritch being to cry their brains with his strange magic either.
