very happy Matt decided to clarify his stance on the genocide of the Palestinian people rn. Pretty unhappy with the way he worded it, who he centered in his video, and disappointed to see the responses to it on Twitter.

kinda scared to even post about it bc CR fans can get so defensive about their favorite white people that they can often leave little room for criticism or nuance. but man I have thoughts.

Very worried for the amount of younger people (minors/young adults) and honestly even older adults who have completely forgotten what privacy is and what is appropriate to say online.

I thought joining instagram but there are amazing blogs there (Memories of Demri, Demri L. Parrott, Demri Lara Parrot, Honoring Demri, & Demri Parrott Legacy) and on facebook there is this great page for her (Demri L. Parrott).

Here on tumblr I didn't find a blog only for her (there are amazing blogs like Little Queenies and Groupies Outrageously) but not an active blog solely for her (apologies if i forgot yours! Drop me a line and I'll update it!), so that's why I created this one (focusing on her art/job/work,as all the others are about everything), and that's why I'll only remain here.

like this detaching a post from its link to each individual reblog in a chain is a NIGHTMARE

and i'm on mobile, which is relevant because hey fuck app users is i guess the motto?

so used to, if you wanted to read a few months/years back on a blog you could: find a tag of theirs, click on a post that was around the time you were interested in, be ported to the blog's dash AS OF THAT TIME IN THE PAST, and just scroll along

but now, because tumblr, for whatever moronic reason, has isolated posts so that

clicking takes you to an individual pane for *only* that post, not where it is on the blog timeline

AND NOW you CANNOT reach a previous reblog from clicking on the username in the reblog (only the og post)

the ONLY way to get back to older posts is to SCROLL MANUALLY FOR LITERAL HOURS

if i want to see posts from 2017, finding an old post and clicking on it does NOTHING to help me - it has been snipped out of its native environment and shown to me, but the other posts available as links at the bottom pane are just whatever tumblr algorithm thinks are 'relevant', not access to the rest of the blog timeline

I started with posting about my autistic experience on twitter, reading posts on there, and interacting with people there.

then twitter got unbearable, so I moved back here and made a new account and side blogs to mirror twitter and lurk in the tags.

i've noticed a difference between autism twitter and autism tumblr from the big algorithm-controlled posts I usually see:

autism twitter makes me feel like i'm not allowed to say autism disables me or causes problems in life

while autism tumblr makes me feel like i'm not allowed to feel positively about being autistic and can only see it as a struggling disability.

the contrast makes me dizzy 😵‍💫 it's like no one wants to see the perspective of other people when we are all different. each side wants their narrative to be the told one.

every step towards building my vhs/vcr/art/whatever/hobby buisness, im like a 3 way split of excited, nervous, and full of dread about the Capitalism of it all. i dont plan on making this a full time gig that supports me or anything, and i barely have any plans to grow beyond doing a few cons and year, making some stuff in my basement, setting up an etsy store etc. i dont want to turn my hobbies into my job, i just want to be able to engage in my hobbies and making money will help me be able to engage in them more! tl;dr it is so hard to create a comfortable version of "my hobbies pay for themselves" type side-gig when all the structures i have for reference are Networking. Make Money. Buisness and Taxes.
