In the quiet moments before bed, Homelander and Ben share their hopes and dreams for the future, finding solace in the knowledge that they'll face whatever comes together.
Either a small fic or a HC format if this is something you are interested to write about.🙏
I just wanna see more cute moments with one of my fav couples. 🥹
asdfghjkl thank you for this ❤️😭 on this episode of domestic benlander bliss...
Tumblr media
"Well, we can’t just move to the cabin.  What would you swing from?”
These were the moments that make everything so special.  The soft times, the after, when the world was quiet and it was just them.  No obligations, no wailing sirens (yet), and no assistants pestering them about their next daily task.
“I could attach a web to you.” Ben says.  “Have you fly around a bit.  Course you’d be doing all the work, but…”
The bug lays on his side, palm supporting his head as he stares down at Homelander.  A faint glow from the TV illuminates them both, long forgotten as they’d wandered into their favorite bedtime subject.
The future.
“Nope.  No free rides.  Well, except on my–”  Homelander raises his brows suggestively.
“Oh my god,”  Ben groans through a laugh.  “Later.”
A brief pause.
“Some nice houses in Queens, and I could still swing around.” He says.  “Christ, never thought I’d be able to afford something like that, let alone entertain the thought, y’know?”
“Oh please, it’s just a house.” Homelander says as though it really wasn’t that big of a deal.  “How much could it be, like two hundred thousand?”
“Uh… times four and then some.”  Ben replies, reaching for his phone.  He taps away, pulling up a real estate website and snuggles in to make it easier for both to view the screen.  “Man, check these out.”
Homelander scoffs at the most plain looking house he’s ever seen.  “Boring.” He says, swiping his finger along the screen to scroll through.  “Ugly– no way– not happening.  This one doesn’t even have a fence!”
“Oh the horror,” Ben teases.  “Life’s more than a white picket fence, y’know.  Besides, I prefer a nice stained wood approach myself.”
“Of course you do.”  Homelander scoffs.  “Eeew, this one has a pink toilet!  God, look at the tile color–”
“There’s a reason some of these don’t show the interior.  Did you see the green kitchen cabinets earlier?”
“Yuck,” John groans.  “I don’t know about Queens, babe.  They seem like psychopaths.”
“Blame the seventies.”  Ben says, scrolling to the next one. “Oh my god is that fucking–”
“Leopard print wallpaper! What the fuck is wrong with people...” John chortles.  “Oh, hey, this one’s nice.”
“What would we do with four thousand square feet?”  Ben asks, head tilted back to catch whatever expression his love must be wearing.  “I mean, we’d have Ryan running around too.  Could make him a dedicated Lego room– ooh, and a little studio for his home movies.”
“Now you’re talkin’.”  John says. “Wait, wait.  Yellow walls– no way, babe.”
“We could always just paint– holy shit, is that stained glass in the foyer?”  Ben’s brows raise.  "But yeah... We could paint it. We could make it anything we want, y'know?"
Homelander’s arm wraps tighter around Ben’s shoulder, drawing him closer.  One day they’ll settle somewhere that’s wholly their own.  No hustle and bustle of the tower.  No PA’s to terrorize them. No more circus acts.
Just them, Ryan, and a slice of peace that was all theirs.
One day.
For now, though, they can dream.

Some silly hcs for my silly little rarepair from a random AOSTH episode!! (Scratch x Henrietta hcs!)
(.. I wanted to write a fic but didn't know what to write about exactly plot wise 🥲 anyways this is probably gonna be cringey so you have been warned! And long! Probably long!!)
So these would all take place after they met up again. Scratch wouldn't be with Robotnik probably by this point and is probably recovering from y'know, actual abuse.
The two sorta meet up and Scratch apologizes for the whole amnesia thing (finally giving him a chance to explain) and Henrietta forgives him. So it goes from there (can ya tell idk what to make the story exactly, aa 😭).
Also I do hc Scratch as a trans lesbian. So um y ea. I use he/she for him usually.
Anyways, the two preen eachother like.. Well birds!
Scratch attempts to help Henrietta out on her farm, but he kinda sucks at a lot of the tasks. He's good with the chickens, though.
Also obviously motorcycle/bike rides! I like to think Henrietta has multiple, cuz I find the fact she's both a motorcyclist and a farm girl charming. She likes to speed through random fields near the farm for funsies.
The two probably move out on their own. Not far from Henrietta's parents (obviously) but like, to their own cottage (haha cottagecore).
Scratch is very awkward when it comes to showing affection. Henrietta will be all OVER her, and she won't know what to do because she's simply not used to it. Scratch does try though! She gives random kisses here and there and occasionally cuddles up with Henrietta first. It's not that Scratch doesn't like affection, she adores it. Scratch just doesn't know what to do cuz she's used to abuse and isolation. (Ofc except Grounder, yay siblings!)
The two do eachothers makeup because cute!
Self indulgent as HELL but both are autistic.
And share special interests.
And will rant about them to eachother for hours and hours.
Scratch and Henrietta both wake up at sunrise. As much as Scratch finds it funny to annoy poor Grounder by crowing at the night owl (or uh.. Mole) to wake up, it's a nice change of pace to live with a fellow morning bird. He still crows though!
Scratch will fight anyone who tries to harm Henrietta. Henrietta insists unless one of them is in immediate danger that the fighting isn't necessary, but Scratch sometimes forgets about that.
Pet namess I mean this is already canon. Henrietta has her cute little pet names for Scratch like dear, darling, sweetie, and ect. Scratch isn't very good at coming up with pet names, but she started to mimic her's which Henrietta finds cute.
They share a nest bed. Because I find Scratch's nest bed in the show downright amazing and incredible.
Henrietta gains comfort weight and is chubby, CRY ABOUT IT!!
Henrietta kinda helps Scratch learn about the world from a non-villain perspective. Scratch is still a little "evil" ofc, I'm bias I adore silly little evil guys (team Skull my beloveds). But not legit taking over the world, endangering lives, and abusive evil! Anyways, Henrietta kinda helps Scratch acclimate into a more peaceful life.
Scratch is secretly a bit insecure about how she looks, but Henrietta helps him love herself a little more.
Henrietta helps put Scratch together if he ever breaks. She's no robotics engineer, but she does know how to fix vehicles. So she has a bit of knowledge plus guides and studies on robots.
I'll probably come up with more later, but that's all for now! Sorry if there's any bad grammar or typos, I am so so tired cuz been busy on remodeling my entire room 😭!

A Monkberry Moon Delight lyrical analysis because it is the greatest song of the 20th century
Monkberry Moon Delight is a song from Paul McCartney's 1971 album Ram. The song is generally considered to be surrealist 'nonsense' lyrics a la Lennon's late Beatles work like 'I am the Walrus' and 'Glass Onion'. But if we know anything about Paul (and Lennon-McCartney in general), he tends to put deeper emotions into his songs, often with out meaning to and without his direct knowledge:
"I don't write anything consciously, Sometime when I'm pissed off with John over Apple business a line might creep in." - Interview with Disc And Music Echo (Nov. 20, 1971)
"Songwriting is like psychiatry; you sit down and dredge up something that's inside, bring it out front." - Interview with Robert Palmer for the New York Times (April 25, 1982)
" But in a song, that's where you can [share your innermost thoughts]. That's the place to put them. You can start to reveal truths and feelings." - Interview with John Wilson fork BBC 4's (May 24, 2016)
And my favorite because it's y'know...in a song: "And when I'm gone, I leave my message in my song" - Beware My Love (Wings at the Speed of Sound, 1976)
All that being said, in my opinion, Monkberry Moon Delight is a projection of Paul's feelings of anxiety about his post-Beatles public/critical reception and his reaction to John Lennon's antagonism post-divorce. Specifically, he details his writing of Too Many People as a response to John's antagonism and the making of Ram as an attempt to recapture public attention/praise.
For context: Monkberry Moon Delight was first written/demoed at some point from May-August 1970 on his farm in Scotland. Paul's late 1969-1970 Scotland era is complicated. He often describes it as being one of the most difficult periods of his life because of the break-up of the Bealtes, the Apple financial troubles, his frayed relationship with John, and starting a whole new life which all compounded into a deep depression and alcohol abuse.
Let's start with the title and chorus. In Paul's own words, Monkberry Moon Delight comes from his kids mispronunciation of the word 'milk' and establishes MMD as a fantastical drink like 'Love Potion No. 9'. I think Paul obviously hides behind the surrealism of the lyric but its association with family and domesticity makes an interesting contrast. Though he is happy to be in his escapist domestic fantasy in Scotland, he juxtaposes this with the underlying pressure to be acclaimed (especially after being considered the greatest artist in the world for ten years). Though the song has a peppy, jaunty beat there is an air of anxiety developed through the songs key of C minor and the staccato of the piano and bass parts. His vocals also have a similar strained desperation like 'Oh! Darling'.
The lyrics:
So I sat in the attic, a piano up my nose
And the wind played a dreadful cantata
Paul starts with himself, writing. 'The attic' may be a reference to John Lennon's recording studio that he had built in his attic in Weybridge where he and Paul would often go to write.
"We nearly always went up to his little music room that he'd built at the top of the house, Daddy's Room, where we would get away from it all. I like to get away from people to songwrite, I don't like to do it in front of people. It's like sex for me" - Many Years from Now. Whether or not this is a direct reference to 'Daddy's Room', Paul is known to prefer small, confined spaces for songwriting.
'Piano up my nose' to me shows a rapt attention, leaning so close to his piano its almost up his nose. He is intently and passionately composing his 'dreadful cantata', this cantata I believe refers to "To Many People". Based on this record of the order of demos on the Ram cassette, it seems that Too Many People may have been written (or at least recorded) before Monkberry, which furthers my belief that Paul is making a meta narration of the writing of his song which he recognizes was very pointed or dreadful.
Sore was I from a crack of an enemy's hose
And the horrible sound of tomato
Here he describes what spurred him to writing this song, and this album as a whole. The 'crack from an enemy's hose' could refer to Allen Klein's treatment of Paul during the final months of the Beatles and his attempted mishandling of the release of McCartney (1970). (Note: The crack could also be from Phil Spector, the press, Ringo, George, Yoko or John; Paul is kind of getting shit from all sides right now). The 'sound of tomato' implies the idea of throwing tomatoes at an artist to express dislike or dissatisfaction, referencing the poor critical reception of McCartney (1970).
Ketchup, soup and puree
Don't get left behind
Ketchup, soup, and puree; liquidy tomatoes because splat, splat, splat go the critics. And ketchup because catch up pun.
Don't get left behind is the central theme of this song. He is worried that the public is going to forget about him while he's depressed, away in Scotland, and making critical flops. This is him desperately clinging onto the hearts of the public. Because we all know how much Paul needs to be liked.
When a rattle of rats had awoken
The sinews, the nerves, and the veins
The 'rattle of rats' could be any of the number of people who were getting on his nerves, sinews, and veins (pissing him tf off) in 1970. This could again be referencing the great "Let's all gang up on Paul McCartney" game of 1970 but because of the subsequent lyrics, I think this may be more specifically about John (and Yoko). Either way, it was these rats who annoyed him into getting to work.
My piano was boldly outspoken
And attempts to repeat his refrain
'Boldly outspoken' again connects this song to TMP. The line is similar to the TMP lyric 'This is crazy and baby, it's not like me' in the sense that both show how audacious he sees this songs as. In 'attempting to repeat his refrain' I think Paul is using the 'well he started it' justification for TMP because he's sees it as a repeat, of him rising to John's level of insults.
So I stood with a knot in my stomach and I gazed at that terrible sight
Of two youngsters concealed in a barrel, sucking Monkberry Moon Delight
Ah yes my favorite moment in all of music ever. This is the verse that really convinced me that this song may be referencing JohnandYoko. The 'youngsters in a barrel' alludes to John and Yoko's bag piece, where they would get into a black bag for...peace? As seen in Get Back, this particularly irked/disturbed Paul. "Go get in your bag. The Merseybeat award for couple of the year, goes to John and Yoko" (Get Back Episode 2). He also refers to them as 'the young lovers' in Get Back during the infamous January 13th 'and then there were two' conversation. Even though it makes him nervous and sick, part of Paul releasing TMP and Ram is to face up to the JohnandYoko powerhouse which was a non-insignificant portion of his early 1970 criticism.
Well I know my banana is older than the rest
and my hair is a tangled baretta
Here I think he is reasoning to the listener, the public, over why he thinks they've abandoned him. Paul recognizes that he has been in this music game a long time (so people may have grown bored of him) and has been depressed (and thus out of the game), his tangled 'baretta' of hair like the wily depression beard he grew out while in Scotland.
Also banana = dick, just so everyone is clear (can anyone find that banana poem from his poetry book? Also this just perpetuates my tinhat theory that all the banana milkshakes Paul got in Paris were just **** **** but I digress). Also something about Paul likening songwriting with sex so him not being 'musically desirable' is because...his music dick is old? Ok Paul.
I leave my pajamas to Billy Budapest
And I don't get the gist of your letter
This is the one lyric I am pretty unsure about. Not that every line has to fit perfectly into my interpretation but I genuinely could not make heads or tails of it. My initial interpretation was that this was referring to Billy Shears, and how during this period the Paul is dead theory regained popularity. This reference adds to the feeling of dissolution he builds in this verse.
But mike on the Beatles Bible seems to remember Billy Budapest as being a children's pajama designer though I have found not evidence of this. However going with this shot in the dark, leaving his pajamas to Billy Budapest could draw back to the theme of his current domesticity and occupation with his children.
The letter in question I believe refers to the infamous letter John and George wrote to Paul changing his McCartney release date that they had Ringo deliver which really set Paul off and kind of began the messiness of the divorce.
Catch Up, cats and kittens
Don't get left behind
Finally we get the pay off to the ketchup-catch up pun and see the resurgence of the theme; Paul feeling like he's falling behind his contemporaries and desperation to catch up.
In typical McCartney fashion, Monkberry Moon Delight is a seemingly shallow and superfluous song but actually reveals a lot about his inner turmoil at the time. Him dealing with the rejection by the critics and John by turning to his piano and creating the absolute banger that is Monkberry. This is why MMD is one of Paul's best, because of how quintessentially Paul it is. Veiling tough emotions behind ambiguous and surreal lyrics masked by a fun and light melody. Oh, the juxtaposition! Oh, the Lennon-McCartney of it all.
Anyways this is a barely organized rambling of thoughts but Monkberry Moon Delight deserves a mega analysis because it is genuinely one of the best songs Paul McCartney has ever made.

Hi! i've recently been coming to terms with the fact im very likely aroace, with aromanticism being the Main One on my mind since i've been struggling a bit with accepting that its possible i may never Be in a traditional relationship, mostly due to the fact that so much of what people set up as milestones to reach in life revolve around romantic love.
I just wanted to say i've really appreciated your blog, its been really nice see your posts and its just been helping a lot in trying to navigate all this :) aromanticism feels like its not talked about anywhere near as much as it should be (feels like it'd help not only aroace ppl but like. everyone), and if i'd known that so many people felt this same way sooner i think it would've brought some relief.
it's been especially tough lately i think with not being a teenager anymore, meaning all my friends around me are finding romantic partners and i guess its tough not to feel like the 'second choice' (some of this stemming from anxiety rather than actually how they treat me), and navigating how i feel around all that (also realising that at this point im not just a late bloomer lol). its been a real help finding spaces online that have people talking about their variety of aspec experiences, and its nice to know there's others like me :)
hello, my dear anon <2
first of all: i'm so glad to provide a space for you that's helpful and comforting. community is so important, especially in experiences that can feel so isolating; no matter how you're feeling, at any point, there will always be people here to support you and listen to you and stand by your side. the aspec community is so important to me and i'm so happy to hear that it's been good to you :)
second of all: coming to terms with being aromantic can be difficult, for sure. the fact that so many of us use the words "coming to terms" is significant to begin with; it was very much the same for me, where it felt like a grieving process for a life that i never really wanted but was Told that i should have. it's difficult to work through the knowledge that the entire course of your life, as people set it up for you, is going to be changed away from what you were told would make you happy. this obviously isn't the same for everybody—i have a lot of people in my notes talking about how aromanticism was a wholly positive, freeing discovery for them—but. y'know. it's not like that for everybody, especially not at first. breaking out of amatonormativity is no easy task. just to express that i felt the same things right alongside you <3
especially with the fear of losing everyone around you to relationships... i mean, i think this is where community comes in again. there's a beautiful world out there where people are more aware of the intricacies of non-romantic relationships and the harms of amatonormativity and in that beautiful world we'll all be secure in knowing that our relationships with people will be important no matter the nature of them, but in the meantime, the security of being friends with other aspec people who are aware of all of this can be really comforting. you'll find the people who will stay by you no matter what, eventually, but forming those relationships with people who already understand is really nice. just like any queer relationships, i think. obviously there are cis people who will be cool but oh, the beauty and comfort and joy of t4t relationships in any form... aspec4aspec (a4a? do we have a general term for that? ace4ace aro4aro etc.) relationships are very important to me. helps to deal with that irrational anxiety, too. :)
one thing about being aromantic is that you will look around at the world and realize how innately helpful and revolutionary aromanticism would be if more people knew about it... again. a beautiful world someday. what we do for now is keep talking about it and keep sharing aro joy and keep developing our own important non-romantic relationships and promoting relationship anarchy and establishing our own lives and personhood on our own terms. so happy to have you here as aroace if that's the term you do land on <2 adore you, treasure you, etc., and i hope you have a wonderful wonderful day. feel free to check in anytime about anything! the ask box is always always open. xoxo

Ahh, Rise of the Guardians... Happy Birthday! I cannot begin to fathom my life without the books and/or the movie...besides a constant feeling of emptiness. I have no doubt in my mind that I would succumb to the fear of adulthood and not having an efficient way of preserving and expressing my childlike (not childish) nature. After seeing RotG in August of 2013, I found the closest character I have ever connected with. Distant but passionate...daring yet humble...intense but at the same time playful...He somehow manages to balance it all. When I first read "The Guardians of Childhood" novel series- I said to myself, "Y'know...if I were to connect with any other character on a spiritual level, it'd probably be Nightlight."
This was a couple years before William Joyce announced that [SPOILER] Nightlight later became Jack Frost...and then, from that moment, I realized that my connection with this character was MUCH deeper than I could ever imagine. Nightlight and Jack have this distant/ever-watchful dynamic in their personality...something I've always found myself doing. I love people-watching- it is very intriguing to me. Now this might have to do with my love of psychology/sociology and understanding how people work, but it is something I've always noticed about myself. In the movie, Jack is not the center of attention all the time...he is usually off to the side, trying to understand what is going on around him before he commits to anything. Of course I could write an entire essay regarding all my personal connections with Jack and how I can see life through his eyes...but perhaps that story shall be shared at a later date. In time I will share my story... The movie and the books have changed my life for the better. Thank you William Joyce, I grew up with you through "Rollie Pollie Ollie" and continued to admire your work without even realizing it was you this whole time.. .I'm inspired to go back and read all those books and watch all the movies. I'm sure I'll have a deeper connection the second time around.
I'm also inspired to read the books that inspired you! I don't recall you ever mentioning "The Little Prince", but I'm sure you've read it...especially by how much Nightlight reminds me of The Little Prince.
Your eye for the imagination and impossible is right up my alley. In an obtuse mindset, there was a time I felt my creativity and imagination fading- but I then realized it was pushed to the secondary tier of importance. Adulthood got in the way...not becoming an adult, but letting the fears of adulthood and the world fill my head with desensitized nonsense.
I have always believed that children know the secrets of the universe. They understand the secret writings of the "In Between"... the two lines of the theoretical and the fantastical! This knowledge, however, seems to fade slowly with time. The more a child is in the world- the more darkness is influenced. This is not a loss for hope! As long as we preserve this knowledge (like history), we will not forget who we are, where we came from, and what our individual purpose is.
Love, Light and Purpose has been my end goal to this channel. To reflect and remind other's of The Great Light- just as the moon does with the sun's light. To remind people that they DO MATTER, that they ARE LOVED, and have enormous amounts of POTENTIAL!
A handful of years ago, I promised myself that after the new Jack Frost novel came out, I would start directing my focus to The Guardians of Childhood tier of this fandom. More people must be made aware, for the whole story has yet to be shared! This is exactly why I'm building my Viking AU cosplay- to practice my skills with Worlba before I tackle cosplaying as Nightlight.
Getting back on track, I thank you, not only to William Joyce, but to all of you who, despite the common ridicule and doubt by others, continued to believe. That, my friends, is the most humbling truth...and is the driving force in my entire being. I will never cease to share these stories...I will be sure to tell the importance until MY memories are like twilight.

The Egos as Magnus Archives Fear Avatars
Hello ego enjoyers, I'm once again back on my AU bullshit! Or simply just me rambling on about these character's funky little vibes and assigning them TMA fears they'd probably be avatars of based on nothing but vibes. Possibly their lore, too, if they have it. -Markiplier Egos-
Darkiplier, Avatar of The Dark: This one was an obvious choice! Dark(iplier) shares the same name/nickname as The Dark, and in my opinion it really makes sense with how his character is. My other two options were either The Stranger or The Web, but I decided to go with The Dark.
Wilford, Avatar of The Spiral: I thought that The Spiral fit really well with how Wilford is, considering the Spiral is all about the world not being as it seems and general madness, like how Wilford is.
Host, Avatar of The Eye: The Eye is a perfect fit for Host, because he can see everything going on despite being blind, and seems generally very knowledgable. I also think that The Eye fits with Host because he's a podcast host, and that's very similar to the case logs of The Magnus Archives.
Google, Avatar of The Extinction: This one fit mainly because of his vibes, and his "secondary objective is to destroy mankind" thing. Google just seems like a very Extinction-y android, and given the chance, I feel like he'd gladly serve The Extinction to fulfill his secondary objective.
Yancy, Avatar of The Stranger: Okay, I admit, this one was pretty much entirely based on his vibe. I didn't really think Yancy fit any one of the Fears exactly, so I went with The Stranger as I feel like Yancy sort of has its vibe? Also The Desolation for some reason.
Actor, Avatar of The Web: Even in his lore, Actor is very Web aligned to me. He manipulates, schemes, and is generally just an asshole. Actor orchestrated the entire night of WKM, and I think that's a very The Web thing of him to do. Also control is also very prevalent in his character.
Annus, Avatar of The End: If Unus Annus taught us one thing, it was that everything ends. I think that's all that's needed for Annus's explanation.
(Jacksepticeye, Crankgameplays/Ethan Nestor, MatPat and NateWantsToBattle egos under the cut)
-Jacksepticeye Egos-
Anti, Avatar of The Slaughter: Originally, I was going to do The Web, which I still think fits really well for Anti, but I thought that The Slaughter fit more. This is because Anti is, y'know, very aggressive, and even slit his (C!Jack's?) own throat in his first appearance.
Marvin, Avatar of The Eye: This one was majorly based on vibes, and I felt that Marvin had the most Eye vibes out of the Entities. He knows a lot about magic, too.
Jameson Jackson, Avatar of The Web: I was gonna go with The Eye initially for JJ. However, I thought with his theme in some of his videos of being a puppet connected by strings and being manipulated, I think he'd be an unwilling Avatar of The Web.
Chase Brody, Avatar of The Lonely: Considering in his lore he's divorced his wife and left his child, possibly killed them or somehow lost them... ("I lost the only two people that ever mattered to me") Yeah I think it's safe to say he'd be an Avatar of The Lonely.
Robbie the Zombie, Avatar of The Extinction: Another option for Robbie I had was The End, but with him being a zombie and all, I thought that The Extinction was just a better thematic fit I guess. I also was considering The Corruption.
Jackie, Avatar of The Corruption: This Fear is a little bit of a reach, but I thought that he had the vibes of The Corruption the most out of all the Fears. Jackie in my opinion doesn't really fit with any of them exactly, so I just went with the one I felt like for him. Maybe it's a representation of him getting "corrupted" by his hero work?
Henrik, Avatar of The End: He's a doctor, and has let his patients die before. Henrik is even called the "Doctor of Death." So I think that he's a good fit for being an Avatar of The End.
-Crankgameplays/Ethan Nestor Egos-
Unus, Avatar of The End: Two End Avatars in a row! Again, same logic as Annus being an Avatar of The End. Unus Annus was made to teach us that everything comes to an end, and to cherish the life we have.
Blank, Avatar of The Lonely: I think that The Lonely fits him well, since Blank is the manifestation of Ethan's depression and anxiety. I have a headcanon that he tends to avoid crowds and lots of people like the plague, so The Lonely is a good fit for my version of him too.
Mad Mike, Avatar of The Spiral: He sells drugs in ice cream, and some of those have to have to have some psychedelic affects. I think that he'd be an Avatar of The Spiral largely because of his drug business, and that he's probably somewhat crazy.
-MatPat Egos-
Mad, Avatar of The Desolation: Mad is insane, loves fire, and canonically (if we're calling William Afton in FNAF: The Musical MadPat, which I am) burned himself badly. I think he'd be a poster child of an Avatar of The Desolation. He'd enjoy watching something burn from the outside, knowing that someone's livelihood is being destroyed too.
The Detective, Avatar of The End: My memory of ETN is quite rusty, but I believe he died multiple times and came back once only to permanently die, right? I also get The End vibes from him in general.
The Hermit, Avatar of The Vast: I would've gone with The Lonely because he's trapped alone on an island in the middle of nowhere in the ocean, but because it's in the middle of the ocean, I went with The Vast instead. Hermit just kind of gives The Vast vibes to me.
-NateWantsToBattle Egos-
Natemare, Avatar of The Web: To be honest, I couldn't really decide on a fear for him to be an Avatar of. It was between The Web and The Vast, mainly. For him, I think it's majorly because of him being a siren and being able to control people if he wants to with his voice, and that seems very Web aligned to me.
Phantom, Avatar of The Stranger: Again, I couldn't really decide on one for Phantom. I thought that The Stranger fit his vibe the most, so I went with that. The other option was The Web, but since I already have Natemare as an Avatar of The Web I thought that Phantom should be an Avatar of a different Fear.
Bones, Avatar of The Hunt: This is mainly for my version of him. He's a revenant, constantly in pain and usually very angry. I think he'd like to take it out on others in a Hunt-like way, rather than a Slaughter-like way if that makes sense. His type of violence and killing isn't mindless, it isn't random, it's planned to hurt in as many ways as it can, to cause people the most pain before dying in an attempt to soothe his own pain.
Sharper, Avatar of The Flesh: I thought that he'd be an Avatar of The Flesh since in my interpretation of him/version of him, Sharper is a cyborg. I based that off the scene in the Take Me Anywhere music video where he has an injury with metal and wires and stuff under his skin, then I thought that he would work well as a Flesh Avatar since he might not like that he's (at least partially) still made of flesh and bone instead of fully robot or fully human.
Thank you for reading, everyone! Have a good day/night!

General Headcanons - Leonardo
Hello everyone! This is my first post on this blog, and I wanted to kick it off by sharing some general headcanons I have for the leader in blue: Leonardo. Keep in mind that these headcanons are not written for a specific version of Leo. Enjoy!
Raph is next!
Word count: 664
Tumblr media
Leo is a HUGE nerd. He's into anything sci-fi and fantasy. Star Wars? Lord of the Rings? He's seen them so many times he practically has them memorized. Leo's love of fantasy translates over to tabletop games, specifically Dungeons and Dragons. With the power of the internet he teaches himself all of the rules and even writes a little campaign that he drags his brothers into (they all have a lot of fun).
His love of sci-fi comes from a deep love of space and a fascination with astronomy. Donnie was the one who introduced it to him when they were kids after he found a couple of used books on the topic and wanted to share his newfound knowledge with someone.
He's got pretty simple taste when it comes to pizza. Leo tends to just stick with a regular cheese or pepperoni pie, but when he feels a little fancy he gets a supreme pizza. He definitely likes veggies on his pizza, but not only veggies.
He's a hopeless romantic. He knows every single trope in the romance playbook and has seen probably too many romantic comedies. It is a little bitter for him though since Leo doesn;t think he'll ever really get to experience what being in a relationship is like because of, y'know, the mutant turtle thing.
This guy is a walking dad joke encyclopedia. He uses them to "torture" his brothers, though Mikey is the only one that seems to like his jokes.
Everyone knows that Leo really likes his tea (literally or metaphorical, let's be honest he knows ALL the drama). He's never really liked the taste of coffee, so if he needs a good pick me up in the morning he'll usually have some type of black tea. Leo has all sorts of flavors too, from chamomile and mint to chai to lavender and lemon peel. He's got all sorts of teas for all sorts of occasions.
Mikey made him a mug one year as a birthday gift so it's his special tea mug. It has stars and planets painted on it with Leo's name of course.
Leo is incredibly patient and a good listener. More often than not when his younger brothers (mainly Donnie and Mikey, it's rare for Raph to seek him out) need someone to just listen to them rant and ramble they usually go to him. He knows that his brothers will ask him for advice when they need it, but if they don't he'll just sit there quietly and nod.
Speaking of advice, Leo is actually really good at giving it. Sometimes it comes from things he learned from his father and he words them in a way that is easier to understand. Other times it comes from personal experiences he had that his father and brothers may not have known about.
He is incredibly kind and deeply caring. Leo has a pretty bad habit of putting others before himself, and sometimes it is to his detriment.
Ever since becoming the leader of their group Leo has been incredibly concerned about keeping his family safe, which can sometimes result in him overstepping boundaries and pushing his authority as leader onto his brothers. He feels incredibly guilty after this happens, and it causes him to question whether or not he is a good leader and if he's doing right by his family.
Leo is the one out of the four brothers that is the most spiritual. He carries these spiritual lessons Splinter teaches him to heart, and has shown that he has a deep connection with himself and the world around him.
He appreciates it when his brothers show him things that he never would have picked up on. Raph will tell him when his form is off in training, Donnie helps him strategize and see things from a logistical standpoint, and Mikey points out when something is unknowingly bothering his older brother. Leo knows it will help him become a better leader.

Obbligato: The Devotion to Tatsumi Kazehaya - 5
Writer: Akira
Season: Spring, three years ago
Characters: Jun, Kaname, Tatsumi
Proofreading: Remi + 310mc (JP) & honeyspades (ENG)
Translation: Peace & hyenahunt
Jun: Hah! So you mean we all have no chance of success and just get to spend our lives getting bossed around like slaves, huh? Reimei Academy's fucking incredible!
Tumblr media
Location: Reimei Academy's Labour Camp
Time: Evening, that day.
Tumblr media
Jun: Hmm... So basically, this guy isn't a Special Student anymore?
Tumblr media
Kaname: .....
Jun: Some scandal happened during the filming of a movie or a show, and he either pissed off or got on the wrong side of the higher-ups, and he lost his role...
Tumblr media
Kaname: .....
Jun: So going along with what the bigshots wanted, Reimei Academy temporarily stripped HiMERU of his Special Student title.
And now he's so sad and upset about it he went nuts and had a little cryfest in here just now. That's the long and short of it, huh, Kazehaya-senpai?
Tatsumi: Yes. While HiMERU-san hasn’t told me what happened exactly, I've more or less grasped the situation due to various things I've heard from others.
In any case, it feels as if there's been a high level of damage control about what's going on, so it's hard to understand what happened exactly.
All that is clear is that, yes, HiMERU-san did something which caused the temporary loss of his Special Student title.
As such, he has also been stripped of the private quarters given to those with such privilege, and thus has found himself within the walls of this Labour Camp instead.
Jun: This is the first time I've ever heard of a Special Student losing their title... What exactly did he even do? Did he deck some bigwig in the face or something~?
Tatsumi: I wonder... It's only natural that this is all that the students know. However, the teachers' knowledge regarding it is limited as well.
On the other hand, I've been fielding non-stop questions myself, all of which ask the very same thing: What did HiMERU-san even do?
As it stands, I have no way to answer them.
From the reaction of the public, it would seem that HiMERU-san did something that was strictly taboo in the entertainment world.
Jun: Tattoo?
Tatsumi: Taboo. In other words, something prohibited by social norms.
Jun: Your words are kinda goin' over my head, Kazehaya-senpai...
Tumblr media
Tatsumi: My apologies. While I strive to do what I can to make my words understandable... if they're unable to reach you, then they're no better than the cry of an animal.
Jun: Well, I've more or less gotten the gist of it, at least~ To sum it up, HiMERU basically went and did some shit he really shouldn't have done, huh?
Tatsumi: That is my own personal theory, yes.
Jun: If that's what happened outta the blue, you've got me curious, y'know. What exactly didja do, HiMERU?
C'mon, I'll keep it a secret if ya tell me, y'know? How'd ya make the higher-ups totally lose it?
I don't wanna make the same mistake and set them off, so you oughta share all that info with the class, yeah?
Tumblr media
Kaname: .....
Please refrain from speaking to me so casually. You'll infect me with your Non-Special Student cooties.
I'm not a good-for-nothing idiot like the rest of you.
Jun: 'Scuse me? Literally in what way are we different? We're both at the very bottom of the barrel, aren't we? We're sitting in the same Labour Camp wearing the same jersey and eating the same shitty food, in case ya haven't noticed!
Tatsumi: Is my food truly so disgusting...?
Tumblr media
Jun: Ah— I only mean that as a figure of speech! Kazehaya-senpai, your cooking's the best, for real! I meant to say it was stinky, not shitty, kinda like the stuff you'd eat in a prison!
Tatsumi: Haha. If this were prison, then you all would be released so long as you remained patient enough to fulfill the labor asked of you. At the end of it all, you would be allowed to live in the same brilliantly shining world that the Special Students do.
Jun: Real life's nothing like that, though~ The walls here are so high that if you were to fall even once, you'd spend the rest of your life tryna climb back up.
Tatsumi: You mustn't lose hope, Jun-san. So long as you believe in such a world and work hard towards it, then one day you will be rewarded.
... Though, it isn't as if Reimei Academy's structure makes it particularly welcome to such sentiments.
HiMERU-san losing his rights as a Special Student is unusual, however. Nor have I ever heard of anyone becoming a Special Student if they were not already enrolled as one.
Tumblr media
Jun: Hah! So you mean we all have no chance of success and just get to spend our lives getting bossed around like slaves, huh? Reimei Academy's fucking incredible!
Well, maybe that's just how it is in actual corporate life, too. You know, born a nobody and die a nobody and all that.
Tatsumi: Now, now, don't sulk... You're still young, Jun-san. You should look to the future with bright eyes, towards the hope that lies aplenty before you.
Jun: Hey, you're young too, Kazehaya-senpai. What's up with your old man act?
Actually, in your case I should say you act all mature, huh? You're always so calm and reliable~ No one would think you're only a year older than me.
Tatsumi: Is that so? Perhaps I’ve spent so much time around the elderly that I’ve begun to act like them too.
Oh, dear... I just remembered, I must leave for the catacombs soon.
Tumblr media
Jun: Not again. You went last night and didn't come back 'til this morning, didn'tcha?
Tatsumi: Haha. As the one who founded them, it is only right that I take care of them, isn't it?
If ever you are interested in dropping by, Jun-san, please do so. And bring HiMERU-san as well, if possible.
Jun: What? Why him?
Dude, wasn't he sitting on top of ya with his hands 'round your neck when I came in?
If anything, I'd rather chase a dangerous guy like him right outta here, y'know?
Tatsumi: It was merely an accident, that's all. HiMERU-san happened to fall, and my body was there to catch him. Isn't that right?
Tumblr media
Kaname: .....
Tatsumi: If it was done with ill intent in mind, I forgive you. I don't mind what happened one bit, but if possible I'd like to get along with you from here on out, HiMERU-san.
Kaname: .....
Tatsumi: Haha. Now then, I'll be off. ♪
♪~♪~♪
Jun: (Welp, there he goes... Kazehaya-senpai's as mysterious as ever — to this day I still can't tell what he's thinking.)
(And HiMERU feels like a ticking time bomb himself... Ugh, I feel like even more weird shit's gonna happen again.)
Tumblr media
Jun: (All the same, I guess I'd prefer this to the usual daily routine of doing nothing but soul-crushing chores.)

What are your thoughts on the Axem Rangers?
*CRACKS KNUCKLES*
Fun fact it was the Axem Rangers that introduced me to SMRPG! I was super into SMBZ growing up and looking into the Axem Rangers X got me to check out SMRPG and- well- anyone who's been following me for more than a few months knows how that went
I adore them. Chaotic stupid fr. How many Axems does it take to screw in a lightbulb? TRICK QUESTION if you ask them to do that they'll come back to you with an electric fire.
In my Weapon Fam AU (god i never update this tag h e l p its all old art KJSBFKJSBGKJSDB) since they're all siblings in that one, I made them all quintuplets and yes it gets chaotic quickly. They spend an absurd amount of time just rehearsing their dramatic entrances, monologues, poses, etc
They definitely operate on a "shares a braincell" mindset, but if they need someone to speak for the whole group, they usually default to Red. He definitely has an ego because of this and the others usually have to serve him a slice of humble pie if he gets too cocky about his position as leader
Black actually has some slight vision problems that manifest in the form of sunlight sensitivity, hence why he's always wearing shades. Forever ago people thought he was trying to be cool, so he totally went with it and has been acting like some cool tough guy ever since
Y'know how Green can use Static E and attacks with more of a stabbing motion than by swinging the axe? (btw i adore that the remake gave his axe more of a spear-like tip to it because of this, its the little things <3). I always had the hc that he struggled with physical fighting like the others, but picked up magic use after watching Bowyer use spells like Static E so easily. Also has chronic vertigo, rip 😔
So Pink- my hc is that those from Smithy's dimension (i.e. all the Weapons) are completely genderless- they reproduce asexually, they're machines, etc. Most Weapons don't really align themselves with gender identities super strongly, and a lot will default to he/him pronouns just because their language mostly translates to that and people from other worlds will see their more masculine-presenting members and go "Oh you must be boys!". Pink's also in the boat where she doesn't really align with a gender, but she definitely prefers presenting more femininely and once she discovers how most of the other worlds handle gender expression, she immediately changes her pronouns to she/her and proudly proclaims herself as the girl of the group... well, proclaims herself the princess of the group, really. ... The other Axems will gladly use she/her but they draw the line at princess.
Yellow is by far the most grounded of the group, and usually steps in whenever Red gets overwhelmed trying to make all of the decisions. He's more of an endurance fighting than the rest of the Axems, preferring to stay back and tank hits to tire out the opponent while the other four go in on the offense. He's actually the smartest of the group, but most would never figure this out since he goes out of his way to play stupid. Part of playing stupid is to trick opponents into underestimating him... and the other part is the internal laughing he gets to do when people are so, so incredibly wrong about his intelligence.
They CONSTANTLY bicker with each other, but the SECOND anyone outside of the group tries to insult one of them? The other four will rain hell on you. Do NOT mess with the Axems.
... also did you know the Axems canonically have tongues? Horrifying. I'm cursed with this knowledge now so are you.

Three thoughts: since everyone and their mother calls build the best rider and I had a relatively mid experience with it and I see you had an awful experience with it…
number three but I put it first bc it’s the most important: why didn’t you like it? Sorry if you’ve made posts abt that—
number one, what do you consider the best rider show?
number two, have you seen kamen rider geats?
3 - Oh that wretched show (Kamen Rider Build)........................ I'll leave my full answer for last so I can just do a "read more" and spare people of spoilers for the show. The TL;DR is that I have a love/hate relationship with it, it starts really well but then it uh, it's like the show just forgets itself? does that make sense? I don't know, it disappointed me... My message to the world is: if you want to watch it (in my opinion) up to episode 33 it's pretty good, it gets worse later.
[note: edited this to be less harsh bc I liked a lot of the show in the end despite my issues with some choices and some people might think I didn't like anything at all]
1 - This kinda spoils the options for the poll a little but whatever. I got into toku this year with sentai so I've only watched Shin Kamen Rider (the 2023 movie) and then Kamen Rider Den-O (2007), Kamen Rider W (2009) and Kamen Rider Build (2017).
I don't think any of the shows are perfect but I think the most satisfying experience overall from start to finish was Den-O because it's a bit silly but consistent with it? So it's pretty enjoyable.
2 - Funny story... I started Geats but I couldn't click with it. I do think a lot of the suit designs are SUPER pretty though. Kamen Rider Geats, Cross Geats and Na-Go are my faves for sure (from the images and material I've seen).
3 - OK So let's do this. I have actually not done a list of all my issues with this show here in my blog but I have complained a lil to people I know and who have watched it (and shared my opinions). This is my personal opinion and I want to preface this by saying I'm a sci-fi nerd and I might have set the bar too high because it looked really promising to me.
SPOILERS FOR BASICALLY EVERYTHING IN THE SHOW
I'll get to issues related to characters first, I think that's easier:
Vernage could have been really interesting but she is equally under and overutilized when convenient to the point she's always doing everything with her last breath (until she does actually die... ) and shows up so sporadically you almost forgot she was still alive when she shows up again. It's wild because when she's introduced you're like? Oh? Will she give us lore and then die? Perhaps a clue to a secret weapon? Some secret power up? no!
Misora is never developed to her full potential despite going through a lot of stuff during the entire show. She could have had a more active relationship with Vernage and tap into some martian knowledge or be able to channel Vernage's power willingly but :/ Her dad literally ends in a coma and she is like... mostly unaffected? Doesn't talk about him? Idk, I'm not saying she should henshin because that's unrealistic with this show but she could have worked with Vernage to take revenge on Evolt for that (via helping the team). I WILL say, she does have her sad moments and her actress does a really good job, it broke my heart when she had her final conversation with Evolt!Soichi. But off that? She's an internet idol ^w^ and the glue that has to hold the team together even though she's like LITERALLY 18-19 and everyone else in their mid 20s and up???
Insanely enough Sawa's friend to spy to friend to spy to friend thing is decently executed so I can't complain much here.
Y'know what I can complain about though? Kazumi! Kazumi is such a character that I wanted to root for because he is so much about community once you get to know him and he has this good caring leadership vibe to him. This guy commits and this guy finds middle points and he can't forgive Gentoku but he asks anyway that he joins them and he even encourages him later to try and follow his father's footsteps. HOWEVER. HE IS A FUCKING CREEP OVER AN IDOL AND THAT UNFORTUNATELY IS MISORA. Bro is 29 years old demanding respect from Banjo and fangirling over a girl that is like... a real human being... who he actually gets to know. I thought their relationship would be... realizing she's a Real Human Being With Thoughts And Feelings but he never stops being a weirdo and it was uncomfortable... ☠
Isurugi Soichi... (not Evolt) underutilized as hell... we get this reveal that he can talk to Evolt near 33 and I thought "OH! Maybe he can influence him? Maybe this is what has been stopping Evolt from wrecking absolute havoc?" but as you might know/guess, this was not the case. There was a LOT of potential for a parallel with Him being posessed by Evolt and Misora being possessed by Vernage and Misora coming to terms with the fact that her dad got the worst alien buddy out of the situation but... they don't do this.
Evolt (Evolt)... my major problem with him is that the show literally tries to sell this "monster that didn't have feelings before" story on the last arc and it just... doesn't work? Because yeah, he's an asshole but like he clearly gets frustrated and excited and he clearly had a lot of feelings driving him around otherwise he'd not have gotten attached to the same human body for 10 YEARS and only hopped out of it when his "vessel" was complete.
Banjo, I got here finally, I deserve a medal. Not my kind of character but overall he's fine? The whole alien thing is done in the most boring way possible imo, idk how they did that but hey! The show is in such a hurry to go through as many small plots as possible near the end that it went super fast?
Sento! I can't talk about one and not the other! Overall Sento is a well done amnesiac protagonist until they make him go back to his old self to undo character development near the end for what feels like ages (I think it was just two episodes though?) and then he remembers and io and behold! he's Sento again but can remember some things from before. I have no words, it felt like he was going to stay like that for a second and all his character development would be undone. I think he could have remembered without having to go through that, I think he could have had conversations with himself without them just making him forget his friends so Katsuragi could have ONE chat with Gentoku. I think he was prone enough to monologue that he could have started remembering after Evolt by just. Literally talking to himself and finding his old self within him... like we could have had the same thing without the weird moment. I also think the whole arc with his dad suddenly coming back was poorly written... because? Suddenly he's not THE Genius and also Build wasn't "originally" meant for him even though it's hinted MANY times that it was Katsuragi who developed the Kamen Rider System entirely/mostly on his own. I think I could be ages here so I'm gonna move on by saying: it was bad.
Gentoku... my meow meow... I'm biased, overall I liked his character development and the Rogue drama was interesting? (and full of blood). His whole deal felt more straightforward than the rest and before he becomes a bit of a "joke" (with the identity fashion crisis and then the awkward moments) he has some really good moments of redemption. I really liked his speech in 39 when he feels bad about fucking up with Utsumi and is too injured to fight. ("Im not writing at 2 am edit": He has good character moments after 39 too! I understand they needed to kill the tension a little by making some fun of him and I liked some of it; the nepotism bit was really good! and his sacrifice was meaningful)
Honorable Utsumi mention because: what do you mean he was a cyborg??? That was so out of the blue and meant absolutely nothing because it's not... anything. For a show that did decent hints about things Utsumi suddenly being a cyborg because "haha his nickname was cyborg" and they maybe did one joke on an episode intro... it's really lame. Off this (which I needed out of my chest) he has a lot of missed potential and could (and should) have replaced Sento's dad as Evolt's "main" scientist because uhh he literally did the Sclash Driver and was very talented? Did the writer just... forget that? I guess so! It'd have been more interesting for sure if he had been working all along against Evolt fearing he'd betray Nanba but no.
I'm gonna go over plot things as quick as possible because I got too wordy with the character stuff:
The Pandora Box. I get it, it's a very convenient excuse but for a thing that Evolt seems to have created himself... they sure throw a last minute "but he doesn't know about this secret panel" I think... I think Evolt knows his funny little box for destroying planets and consuming their energy better than anyone on Earth...
The Sky Wall and the Pandora Tower. It'd have been SO much fun if, as I had hoped, the Pandora Tower was a massive labyrinth they had to figure out to get to the top and stop Evolt or some sort of ritual over a period of time...
The Show is called Kamen Rider Build! They do not build shit during the final episodes. I guess the Grease power up but he dies as soon as he uses it so that doesn't count. They literally got most of everything "solved" around the time Katsuragi made the Genius bottle so! They decide to reuse the Hazard Trigger to do something that is never hinted at (or makes sense if you ask me)... they don't even modify it 😭😭😭😭 They could have done something like before the proxy battle when Sawa and Sento do the modifications for Tank/Tank and Rabbit/Rabbit and have the team help Sento assemble a new device before fighting Evolt but no...
"Let's make a new world instead of properly defeating the bad guy" coward move! It also conveniently erases everyone's character development even if Sento and Banjo are "the same" in the new world it's just, a weird choice (I've been told they get their memories back in the specials or something but still ????)
Evolt destroying the world at random suddenly for his own amusement was really just an excuse to do the New World thing sellable and was really weird specially after the Be The One Movie in which he CLEARLY doesn't want Earth destroyed. He Loved Earth. He spent 10 slutty slutty years posing as a DILF and 3+ of them causing problems on purpose. BE REAL.
Also having Gentoku and Kazumi die was another way to make the "new world" thing more easy to digest because "see :( our friends died we need to bring them back :(" (idk man they were pretty decent at fighting, they could have not died!)
FINALLY. On the New World thing: A Post War scenario with the Kamen Riders helping rebuild the country and Kazumi and Gentoku in leadership positions, Misora reconnecting with her Dad and Sento trying to figure out how to use the bottles for good and more practical uses than fighting would have been much better...
anyway this got super long, I'm so sorry. Thank you for coming to my KRB talk. Kudos to you if you made it to the end, I probably have even more thoughts on this but we'd both be here forever. I'm locking this because people are weird about shows sometimes and I have seen people insist that Build is Really Really good when it's like. mid at best if you have to judge it from start to end.
additionally: I refuse to watch the specials <3 the movie (Be the One) was fine though, tbh it felt more on sync with the show than the finale. Even if they introduce the Blood Tribe guys only to kill them off. The Buid/Cross Z fusion bit was fun too!

Locked Away Heart
aw yeah, day 2 of Logince Week
I'm a little worried about making the deadline for tomorrow, but y'know what? I'm gonna try my best!
that aside, please enjoy my writing for day 2! the prompt was poetry in case you couldn't figure that out from the firs five words or so
Logan had a diary.
Well, it wasn’t nearly as juvenile as that sounded, but he did have a journal. Several, actually. Every day, he would take the time to write something down, whether that be something about how his day went, something new he had learned, or anything else that came to mind.
That anything else was typically poetry.
Logan was pretty shoddy at creative things. He could make his schedules bright and colorful, with each color having a different meaning, but that was about as far as his creative talents extended.
Except, he could write poetry.
Creativity with words, calculated and measured, but it could just be a slew of vocabulary that made sense to him and could be interpreted by others. It was incredible, and it had always fascinated him.
Some of his poems were just words he enjoyed, with connecting phrases in between. Some were what the internet would consider a “vent,” expressing something that was bothering him on the page where he could fester with it and it wouldn’t hurt anyone else.
Mostly, he wrote poems about his favorite things. Thomas’ favorite jungle animals, summaries of exciting new chapter books (some of the poems bordered on fanfiction, he supposed).
Then, in college, about the classes they took, his desperate search for knowledge and intense hope for the future.
And intense dread when those plans eventually fell through.
He wrote poems of the stars, of constellations, of galaxies, the ones painted in his room with glow stars mirroring the real night sky and the things themselves, glowing bright in the Imagination or surrounding Thomas’ home.
Later, much later, when the sides finally began to reconnect, after years of living divided and refusing to unite, even for Thomas’ sake, Logan began to write more poems about the sides themselves, and Thomas.
Of those, the poems about the others seemed to be taking over his notebook a bit. He still had days where he would share facts or quotes from good books he’d just finished, but when he wrote poems, they were nearly always about the others.
Logan had always had an intense interest in the sides and their roles through Thomas, even when the walls between sides were rising up high and conflicts were daily endeavors.
Thomas was an incredibly interesting individual. Humans themselves were so complex. Every single day, they had to make thousands of choices, millions of movements, only to receive harsh criticism for other humans for some of those perfectly normal choices and movements.
Living as a member of one of the most diverse and mentally advanced species was an incredibly difficult chance. Some people weren’t able to do it. The fact that Thomas had made it this far, and had been so successful as a person, was incredibly lucky.
And on top of all that, he had the sides! Facets of his personality corporealized, created for the purpose of navigating his life and choices, his feelings and mortals. The odds of their existence were almost immeasurable, and yet, they carried on.
Their relationships with each other we so complex, and mirrored Thomas’ mental state so perfectly, it was perfect, it was messy, and Logan loved it with every fiber of his being. Logan constantly had questions on his mind, only some of which he was able to find answers to. Some of those questions didn’t even make it to the pages, they made it straight to the others, in excited rants of passion too enticing to be kept a secret.
He wouldn’t, however, ever question why, and he certainly didn’t want to imagine a world in which they did not exist.
If the sides didn’t exist, there would be no one for the twins to ruthlessly but gently tease, there would be no one for Virgil to check up on and keep calm, and there would be no one for Patton to bake or knit with.
There would be no one for Janus to sass or come up with dilemmas to trip them up, and no one for Logan to debate with or simply admire for their existence.
Well, he didn’t exactly do the last one openly.
Despite being just a facet of Thomas’ life, he had his own personality, his own opinions, fears, and feelings. (And how bizarre was that? How did that work? How lucky was he to get to feel the things that he did even if he might not completely understand them still?)
He still faced quite a bit of embarrassment and shyness. When the sides faced their differences and been estranged because of it, Logan faced a lot of harsh criticism.
He didn’t blame the others, or Thomas for that matter. It was more than normal to question one’s own logic. In fact, he encouraged his host to question what he knew and to search for as many sources of information as he could find to prove points true.
It just… that questioning tended to come at a bit of a detriment to Logan’s confidence.
He was working on it, though. He was attempting to strengthen Thomas’ faith in his opinions and the things he learned to be true. Not everything needed to be questioned, which would lead to an unhealthy amount of introspection.
Yerkes-Dodson. A healthy balance.
In fact, that work with his confidence was something he had been writing for himself. Tips for future scenarios to help him voice his opinions strongly like he used to, quotes from relevant people about the subject matter.
And, of course, more poetry.
It seemed to be something he always fell back on. If he went a few weeks without writing one, he almost felt disappointed in himself.
Was this how the twins felt when they had artist’s block? If so he was even more regretful that was something they dealt with regularly.
Sometimes, he would just sit and read his work. He was quite proud of some of them, the longer ones that took him weeks just to find that one right word. Some of them he had even considered sharing.
No, no, his poems were his, they were made of him, they made him up.
If he shared them and experienced that familiar soul-crushing grief of being rejected, he wasn’t sure he could ever recover from that.
So, the poems would stay a secret. They’d stay tucked away in a locked drawer of his desk. He was always very careful to make sure the lock was secure when he was finished working and the key was safely hidden in another spot at the other end of his room.
Perhaps one day he’d find the bravery to present them, but he couldn’t imagine that outcome being anytime soon.
Roman really shouldn’t have been snooping around in Logan’s room, but he supposed it was a bit too late for that.
He just, well, he was very bored. Extremely bored, even. Remus was busy hanging out with Janus and Virgil, doing who knows what in his part of the Imagination. He knew not to disturb their time together. And, it was just around lunchtime, so Patton was cooking. The only person left for him to bother was Logan.
But when he very loudly knocked on his door and insisted he be let in, no response came. He kicked open the door, expecting to draw Logan’s attention away from whatever silly thing he was working on, but there was no one there.
He huffed, sitting down on Logan’s bed and deciding he was simply going to wait for him to get back. He craved the attention, after all, and Logan was still his best bet.
That plan lasted about 2 minutes max.
Roman groaned, flopping back onto Logan’s bed. He jumped slightly when he heard the telltale thud of something falling off the bed onto the carpet.
He peered over the edge, searching for whatever it was. He hoped it wasn’t Logan’s glasses. The other side would not hesitate to kill him if he broke those. But no, it wasn’t a pair of familiar Ray-Bans that he found. It was a small key, a piece of curly blue string tied to the end of it.
The challenge was practically gifted to him. He needed to find where this key went. And quickly, before Logan shut down his quest.
Maybe he should have figured out this was a bad idea. The sides all had private things they preferred for the others not to snoop in on, but Roman’s curiosity was not going to be satiated until he found where the key went. He didn’t even have to open whatever it was! He could just leave the key there and tell Logan about his discovery when he got back.
Except, once he slotted the key into Logan’s bottom desk drawer, the siren song of more discoveries quickly drew him in. With a quick glance over his shoulder, he turned the key and quietly slid the drawer open.
Roman was a bit disappointed to find a series of composition notebooks laying inside. That wasn’t interesting at all! It was probably just old notes from when Thomas was in school, or records of old schedules or something boring like that.
He groaned, pulling one out just to see if it had a label on it or something, anything remotely interesting. The notebook he picked was black, plain leather except for a small, white sticker on the front.
‘PROPERTY OF LOGAN SANDERS 5-1-19 to 12-1-19’
Huh, it was some sort of record, something in 2019, apparently. Roman rolled his eyes a bit. Leave it to Logan to keep records of the daily happenings in Thomas’ mind, or the stuff he learned, or whatever was in this thing.
Thankfully, it was at this point that he found some self-restraint. These notebooks were obviously important to Logan, and Roman should at least respect some of his privacy by not opening them. He carefully slipped the book back exactly where he found it.
It was, of course, at that moment when Logan came back.
He stared at Roman, blinking slowly, face unreadable. “Uhh, heyyyyy, buddy! I was just… uh, putting this back! I didn’t read it, I promise! I just came in here to see if you wanted to hang out, but you weren’t here, and then something fell off your bed, and it was a key so of course, I had to figure out where it goes and one thing led to another and I found this drawer thingy! I gotta admit, I’m very curious what you have hiding in here but if you don’t wanna share I can respect your privacy and-”
“Roman, please slow down. I’m not upset,” Logan soothed, crouching down next to him to take the key back. “I can’t fault you for being curious, although I am grateful you decided against reading these. I…”
Logan paused, debating what to say next. He could simply let Roman leave, let him know he wasn’t upset but that the books were private, and Roman would respect that.
Although…
Roman was creativity. He knew firsthand the joys of creation, the toils of perfecting a work, and the crushing guilt and mortification of having those creations ridiculed.
Of all the sides, maybe he could trust him with these.
“You don’t have to share, teach. I’ll live without knowing what’s in your secret notebooks.” Roman moved to stand, but Logan quickly caught his arm.
“W-wait! I… I think I would like to show you, if… if you are still, er, interested?” Logan nearly flinched as the statement came out questioning.
“Oh- oh Logan, of course! Let’s check these out!” Roman grinned, plopping himself right back on the floor and looking to Logan expectantly.
Logan frowned slightly, tracing a hand down the spines of the books, years of work, so many pens broken or emptied. This drawer was him, his life on display. He just hoped Roman would be understanding.
“So, these notebooks, I’ve been working on them for a very long time.” Logan selected a more recent one, the summer and fall of the previous year. “I’ve always found it calming to collect my thoughts through written words, and after a while, I came to enjoy the routine.
“Most of it is, well, perhaps a bit boring. Reminders for the next day and new facts that Thomas had learned, or a more diary-like approach with a recount of the day’s events. But, uhm…
“I also wrote some poetry. This book is mostly that.” Roman nodded, carefully turning the pages to the first poem.
Logan sat, debating whether to keep talking as Roman read. However, any other explanation he could have hoped to provide died on his tongue. Too nervous to speak, he sat and fidgeted as Roman read.
…He had been reading for a while.
Oh goodness, what if he hated them? A decent portion of those poems were about Roman, after all. This was around the time of the fallout from the wedding. Tensions were high, and Logan was frustrated beyond belief.
His poems were filled with passionate scrawls, grammar mistakes going unnoticed in fits of passion. Logan had spent hours poring over his journals, scrawling so hard the pages often ripped.
Perhaps this had been a very bad choice.
A very, very bad choice.
When Roman finally broke his concentration from the diary in his hands, there were tears in his eyes.
“I- Roman, what’s wrong?” Logan stammered, quickly breaking himself out of his nervous stupor.
“Oh, nothing, nothing, sorry. I just… Logie. Specs. These are incredible. Why haven’t you shared them before?” Roman quickly wiped at his eyes, staring at Logan with such an open, admiring face that he felt his own eyes begin to burn.
“I… well, thank you, Roman. I suppose… I was far too nervous to share them until now. They are… obviously very personal, and… important to me. I feared… if someone were to dislike them it… uhm, it would be difficult to… recover from that. Emotionally, I mean.”
Roman let out a gentle sigh, taking one hand off the journal to squeeze Logan’s. “Well, I can’t speak for the others, but you can share anything with me. I won’t judge, I won’t tease if you ask me not to. Making something this… passionate, this… beautiful, Lo, darling, these really are so beautiful… I could never give you anything but admiration for a creation like this.”
Logan, much to his dismay, found that burning sensation to be falling down his cheeks.
“Ah, I suppose that was a bit too much. Come here, darling.” Logan obliged, allowing Roman to wrap his arms around him as he sat gingerly in his lap. Roman gave him a moment to compose himself. He even took the liberty of wiping his tears off with the edge of his jacket sleeve. Logan found himself blushing a bit at the action, but at least he wasn’t crying anymore.
“Sorry for making you cry, Lo, but I meant what I said. These really are so good, you’re an incredible author.” Logan shrugged, avoiding Roman’s eye contact as the blush started creeping up his neck.
“They’re… alright. I suppose. I’m.. I’m glad you enjoyed them. If you would like… you er, may keep one of my finished journals to… continue reading. If you’d like.”
“Oh, Lo, I’d love to! Thank you so much! Do you think we could show the others? These really are incredible! You, at first I wasn’t sure what you were talking about, and the syntax was not helping, but you just-”
Roman continued on, gushing over all the little details Logan had poured into his pieces.
He was a bit hesitant about sharing with the others, but he noted with a small, private smile that Roman would definitely respect that. And, if he did decide to allow the others into this part of himself, he was beginning to believe they might receive them just as Roman was, not a critique or harsh word in sight.
Honestly, with the gilded praises he wove of his friends in those poems, it was starting to be easier to think they would live up to the words he crafted for himself, and for them.

hi can I request Sylkius and Kiss 24 - in danger? Love your fics!
First of all THANK YOU SO MUCH 😍 and I'm sorry that this took so long! I have two more kiss fics to go after this, but I have other things I'm working on, as well, so it's all slow going. I hope this will be worth the wait.
--
“Well?” asks Sylvie, her expression serene, maybe a hint of ‘excited,’ as her gaze flits between them.
“Well, it's… um…” begins Loki.
“...Treacherous?” offers Mobius.
“Well, yes, but it's… kind of nice,” Sylvie counters, somewhat defensively. “Right?”
“Well, yeah,” Mobius tries. “It's just… hard to focus on that, I guess, what with the earthquakes and fires and, y'know, the knowledge that this world is literally gonna rip itself apart in…” he makes a show of checking his watch. “What, like, thirty minutes?”
“Sylvie,” Loki starts cautiously, “I know you're… comfortable with this—”
“Oh,” she interrupts, “I'm not comfortable.”
“No?” asks Mobius. “Not to make this awkward or anything, but then… why are we here?”
Sylvie shrugs. “It feels… good.”
“Good?”
“You're not running anymore,” Loki supplies, and Sylvie nods.
“Mmhmm. It's different now. But also…”
Loki smirks at her slightly. “The thrill.”
“The thrill,” she repeats, returning his smirk.
“Frickin’ Lokis,” mutters Mobius, more than loud enough for them both to hear, a fond smile playing at the corners of his mouth.
Sylvie casts him a sideways glance, amusement evident in her gaze. “I wasn't sure I would miss it.” Her companions are silent, listening with warm curiosity. “But I needed to see what it's like now.”
“And?” Loki asks cautiously, stepping in just a hair closer.
“And it's all different,” she says, drawing closer to them both, as well.
The earth beneath them is rocked by another explosive quake, and a crumbling mountain off in the distance shrinks even smaller with another loud crack followed by a rumbling avalanche.
Mobius winces.
Sylvie's still eyeing them both with an anticipation that's palpable, laced around the edges with danger.
A small aftershock, and Loki shares a nervous glance with Mobius as his magic sparks at his fingertips, at the ready. Mobius's eyes flit toward Sylvie's pocket, where their TemPad rests.
Another, and they stumble in against her as she slips one arm around each of their waists. There's a heat emanating from her, a buzzing aura that has Mobius's stomach in knots, and Loki’s mouth hanging open.
And then her mouth is on theirs.
Her kiss is hot, and encompassing, and unrelenting. Sylvie's fingers tighten and clutch at their hips, dragging them both in against her—grasping, possessing.
There's a loud crack overhead, and Sylvie feels them both flinch against her lips as she quickly moves her hand from Loki's side to inside her pocket, operating the TemPad with a long-since-perfected three short taps, and they're falling.
“Jesus, Sylvie–” curses Mobius, wheezing at her sudden weight on top of him. “A little warning, maybe.”
They're in their bed now, the danger left behind, but the adrenaline persists.
“No time,” she pants, lowering her mouth to his again and blindly grabbing for Loki, yanking him closer and working his tucked-in shirt loose from his belt.
Mobius can only grunt against her lips in response. Beside them, Loki laughs quietly, until he's stifled, too, by a consuming kiss.
--
So just know that in my mind, this leads to DP. 😅
And yes I'm considering writing a followup at some point. Maybe. 😉

My child came back from her dad's in 20-fucking-23 obsessed with Harry Potter.
She has been begging us to buy her every single piece of Harry Potter merch she sees and loudly proclaiming that she is a Slytherin because that's what her stepmom told her because "she says I'm cunning" (what the fuck kind of a thing is that to tell a ten year old jeezus crimminy).
I have, uh, NOT been buying her Harry Potter shit because, uh, y'know, fuck that wretched bigot. And also, I flew this child halfway across the country to go to a Harry Potter convention in 2019, so I have paid my dues on this one*.
Here, we find out after two months of this that they only showed her the first movie**. So my gf has decided to watch the movies with her and point out all the ways the story is Unacceptable and why loudly proclaiming that you identify with the elitist fascists from a story written by an elitist fascist isn't a great way to win friends and influence people, or a good foundation for self-understanding as you step into adolescence.
Which is why I have been subjected to three straight days of fucking Harry Potter movies any time I am at home, any why I have had to bust out deep, unwanted residual knowledge about the Hogwarts scholarship system, the Quibbler, Nagini, and other bullshit that I intensely wish I could discard so I could know better things.
My child seems to be surprised that I even know what Hogwarts is (I TOOK HER TO THE FUCKING THEME PARK) and not to remember that she was present for both a discussion I co-chaired about in-the-weeds details of the social structure in the Wizarding World AND a paper I presented at an academic conference about how the series teaches readers to be anti-scientific and unquestioningly reverent of authority. And she seems determined to continue ignoring everything her mother and I say on this and most other subjects. But if we've done our jobs right, maybe she'll be back to having the same immediate response to Harry Potter as she does every other Boring Topic That My Boring Parents I Don't Listen To Talk About.
* She didn't give a crap then because at that time, it was something her mom and I were trying to share with her, so it didn't matter. Now that it's coming from her dad and we are trying to discourage it, it's her favorite thing in the world.
** We read her the first two books and showed her through the fourth film in the Before Times, but see above footnote re: why that doesn't matter and she didn't retain the information that she actually DID used to know who the werewolf is, etc.

I wish I had the programming skills or technical know-how to make a website or open source program for creative works. Like, I would love to make something that allows creators to publish their work and get support without all the capitalist bs. Book authors could publish completely free. They could choose to publish at whatever price they want, or for free. No minimum requirements by the site. They could connect with freelance editors, cover artists, beta readers etc. to help with their book. If readers really liked the author and wanted to support them, there would be a way for them to donate directly to the author. Again, no website fee. Plus, there would be no higher ups to punish authors for their books being pirated (a practice whose existence caused the spite that fuels this post) and any earnings would go directly to the author. Like if the author charged $20 + tax for their book, they would get $20 for every book they sell. Simple as.  Filmmakers would be in a similar situation; their works could be published completely free and they decide the prices charged. Screenwriters could use the platform to connect with actors, editors, animators, etc. to build a team and produce their project. Viewers could support projects with donations directly to the creative team or even just individual members of the team to show appreciation for their work. And again, like with the book authors, all earnings by a project would go directly to the creators. There would be no higher ups to take a portion of the profits, 100% of it would go to the creators. The website would be sustained mostly by ads, probably. Maybe there could also be a place to donate directly to the site to keep it running. If I started it myself, I would probably buy my own servers and power them with solar panels or something to decrease costs. Idk, my knowledge of servers and how the internet works is limited, but hopefully it would be like a non-profit indie Netflix that also had books and artwork. The creators on the platform could direct the development of the platform with suggestions of what would help them with their work. Viewers could direct development by suggesting ways that the platform could be more user friendly. The whole thing would be directed by users and creators wouldn't have to go through the bs of publishing companies and studios. It could be kinda like a crowdfunding thing, where if creators needed funding they could share a little teaser about their work and people who wanted to see it come to fruition could donate to the project. People would be able to tell the stories they want without it being watered down for fear that it wouldn't make as much money if it was too controversial (y'know, like how a lot of big companies are hesitant to represent lgbt characters and stories out of fear of decreased profits and "alienating an audience").  Like, my coding knowledge is extremely limited and I can't do anything without tutorials. I have no idea how I would build a website like this or work out the cybersecurity details but damn, I really want to. I want to see creators unrestricted by the regulations of publishing businesses. I want to see the creators and stories that would otherwise get rejected by the big companies. I want to see creativity thrive, unhindered by the pressures of capitalism. And I know what I've proposed isn't exactly "free of capitalism" but at least it would be a step toward true creative freedom. It would give opportunities for so many creators to get their work out into the world when they otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Anyway, this is one of my many dreams. I dunno if I'll ever make it a reality, but I wanted to share it so maybe it can inspire someone else who has more knowledge in this area to want to try something similar.

If you could give your muse one gift, what would you give them?
If you had to take one positive thing away from your muse, what would you take away?
If you could “borrow” one aspect of your muse and apply it to yourself or your own life, what would you borrow?
Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?
Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?
Muse's questions!
If you could give your muse one gift, what would you give them?
➤ Probably a book on nautical history. At least, from other cultures. I know he doesn't know every single thing and can and will appreciate this.
If you had to take one positive thing away from your muse, what would you take away?
➤ That's a good question because I don't really want to take any of his positive thing from him. It makes him who he is now. If we are talking about personality traits that is. If it is an item, most likely his compass.
If you could “borrow” one aspect of your muse and apply it to yourself or your own life, what would you borrow?
➤ That confidence in his skills and abilities. I don't hold the best confidence in my skills and abilities. I do have some confidence but not on his level.
Do you genuinely want your muse to be happy? What do you think would make them most happy in life?
➤ Yes, Vasco deserves to be happy. While he holds confidence in himself and his skills, he isn't the most happiest person out there.
It's quite obvious what makes him happy. While I can easily go with the answer of the ocean and sailing, I will give you another answer. It's gaining knowledge and sharing it with the world.
Do you enjoy putting your muse through angst? What do you think would break their heart the most?
➤ Yes, I love angst. I haven't done much angst as of late and I should be changing that. I need to balance it out, y'know. Anyways, as much as he doesn't seem to trust a lot of people, to those he trust is ones he hates for them to go. It doesn't matter what the reason behind it. In fact, his heart breaks if they either betray him and he puts so much trust into them or they die.

OC WHITE WHALE HUNT 2022 - 6.6.23
Howdy gang! Every year I host an OC white whale hunt where I and my community try to find the whereabouts of OCs I wanted to keep tabs on, but have seemingly disappeared.
Our current white whale hunt, 2022, has left us all completely stumped for six months. I was able to find some lingering artworks of the OC and I have information from before and after they went missing.
All of the info is over here if it's easier for you to read it on my site, but I'll copy + paste it here aswell! https://gandyre.carrd.co/#whitewhale2
More info below the "read more" - sorry to the first drafters akndjs
What we're looking for
Creator: Aluriium, Deviantart
Original owner: bluesyCat > forgets-the-keys, Deviantart
OC in question: Logan, feline
Remaining artworks
= https://www.deviantart.com/ribbon-wren/art/Bubblegum-AT-706019069
= https://www.furaffinity.net/view/25929140/ (plus the DA post! https://www.deviantart.com/frirro/art/Fullbody-commission-for-forgets-the-keys-723384378)
= https://purespiritflower.tumblr.com/post/167100659572/spooky-headshot-for-forgets-the-keys-on-deviantart (plus the DeviantArt post, discovered by avery in our Discord server! https://www.deviantart.com/purespiritflower/art/Skeleton-712565467)

= https://minbwy.tumblr.com/post/167662877701/sketch-comm-for-forgetsthekeys-on-da-16-per-page found by avery in our Discord server!
Info
= Keys sold Logan around the time they left the platform in 2017-18 and changed their username. I was on ground zero and I believe I asked for a hold but they declined and Logan was sold to someone else (which yeah fair enough!!) I never caught the username of the person who purchased Logan.
= avery in our Discord server pointed out that the trade would've taken place after 1.2.18, as that's the date of the Frirro fullbody. I didn't know you could see the dates on FA until now 😆
= I haven't dug anything noteworthy up from Google, Deviantart or Toyhouse pertaining to Aluriium, Sadist(ic), Keys, or the artists' galleries on TH that did these pieces. I know forgets-the-keys is on Twitter somewhere under a new name, during my first search their social links led me to it but I didn't write it down. Generally I ask that we don't reach out to former owners and I don't reach out either if the sale didn't happen in the same year. They may not want to be bothered anyway y'know - it was almost 6 years ago!
= Logan is easily confused with Keys' other OCs, as they seemed to have had a specific taste, but Logan is always depicted with their steampunk goggles to my knowledge. They were once depicted with a skull (the PureSpiritFlower piece) but that may have been a YCH. Their blue-yellow eyes are a tell too.
If they're found UFS, I'd love to buy them! But just knowing where they are is good enough for me. This cat was one of the final posts & designs Aluri shared before she left. We were pals and I like to keep some of her designs as a keepsake, so it'd mean the world if I could find this one!
Contact
You can comment or DM me here! Alternatively you can get ahold of me through any of my active socials or in our discord server's white whale channel; I also still check my messages / notifications on deviantart! You can contact me with questions, leads, suggestions, or any new info you uncover.
The reward
This hunt's reward will be a raffle with two winners! Two designs will be given away, one per winner, aswell as $30 in shop credit for each winner.
= The first person to find a direct link to logan will receive two artwork or custom design slots of their choosing, abiding by my tos. Larger pieces may have an extended turn-around time as I still have to make ends meet through this shop and I'll need to host the raffle aswell.
= If I find them from clues / leads given by others, the users who provided them will receive 2 extra tickets to the raffle.
= Shop credit can be used anywhere I operate for purchasing premades + ychs or ordering customs + commissions, though my art / design terms still apply. It can be redeemed at any time. If you'd like to transfer it to someone else as a trade, gift, etc, you'll have to ask me first.
= The raffle will be hosted within 1-3 months after the discovery of Logan's whereabouts. More specific details about the way the raffle will run will be provided when the time comes, but you're free to ask any questions in the meantime.
Edits
6.3.23 - three contributions from Averice in our Discord server were added! They found a sketch page that had previously disappeared, the DA post of the PureSpirit art, and pointed out that the Frirro fullbody was done in 2018, so the trade must've happened in '18 rather than '17.
6.4.23 - I uncovered the DA post of Frirro's fullbody, as well as a new art piece we didn't have! I also added another former username.
6.6.23 - removed Sadist(ic)Blues from the username pool! Not too sure if that really was one of keys' users after discovering some username history.
NOTE - I don't own this OC, the adoptable etc. tags are only to reach a relevant wider group! I'm not trying to sell them lol
