SHARK FIN SOUP - a “delicacy” but NOT FOR THE SHARKS. Once their dorsal fins are sliced off the sharks are dumped back into the ocean where, since they can no longer swim, DIE.

If anyone has trouble understanding the issue with shark finning, allow me to help.

Imagine if aliens showed up and lifted you into the air. Then, they cut offer your arms and legs, before dropping you back onto the ground, alive and in great pain, and moving onto the next person.

The aliens use yours limbs, and the limbs of your friends, to make a luxury delicacy that has no nutritional value to them, and is moreso just a status symbol and actual food.

Who consumes shark fin soup? Mostly east Asian cultures.
