Made this little thing out of some trash and junk basically

I am very proud of it

Items used:

Peice of plastic left over from a press on nail set (pink thing beside it is also a peice of that for reference)

Clear gel nail polish

3 flecks of blue glitter

2 different metallic sharpies (silver and bronze)

Dry erase marker

Snippet of string from a clothing tag

#and also a fuckton of sanding with a nail file #shaping the half-dried gel polish with my finger and the pink plastic peice #having to very very carefully dab tiny beads of clear polish over the glitter bits to make them look like entire gems #<- i screwed up doing that several times btw and had to scrape it off with a peice of wire #a lot of coats of sharpie. then dry erase marker. then nail polish. then sharpie again. #very pain in the ass #also hand reveal i guess??? #patchy sculpts??? makes??? idk this isn't a drawing or a ramble so #miniature #patchy irl #<- i guess?

Well today has been very productive, I made some edits to my thesis, and decided to add some more sources (you can never have enough lol) and so I spent most of my day researching and drinking hot spiced apple cider. I'm embarrassed to admit this is the first time in a long time Ive really sat down and drawn something traditionally lmao

This is in a new 5.5x8.5 sketchbook so I'm hoping this'll get me back into it 🤞 I do miss my markers and colored pencils

#these were drawn using sharpie / some old blick studio alcohol markers / col-erase pencils / and white gel pen #unfortunately i didnt buy the right sketchbook so they bleed through but ill pad the backsides of the page w/ scrap paper like i usually do #ive still got quite a few blick markers despite how old they are! but i decided to splurge and buy some ohuhus #i can tell mine arent gonna last much longer lol and my color palettes were pretty limited anyway so i was bound to buy more #anywho filling this sketchbook is kinda gonna be my private little challenge/therapeutic thing #i probably won't post anything unless its something i think yall will *really* like or when its done 👍 #vocaloid #hatsune miku #sketchbook

im on the planner side of insta and im so glad ive come to the realisation given to me by g-d herself that i do not need a gajillion pens

#kankum #i use 1 brown pen and 1 pencil atm #i have some others like biros gel pens etc gor forms #and a couple markers for bold lettering like off brand sharpie #but otherwise i am no longer beholden to Big Pen!

#i wish i was a fountain pen girlie but i simply cannot be trusted not to lose or break a pen cap #retractable pens are truly so unattractive tho #i have done more writing by hand this year than i have in a decade which is very strange for me but i have to say i enjoy it #ANYWAY recommendations very welcome if anyone has any #i have been using the sharpie s gel series most recently but i am not super attached tbh

Another neat drawing I came across while scanning old sketchbooks, this one’s from 2016. Garish and Gin! I don’t really know why, but this is one is still of my favorite things I’ve ever drawn. It’s dynamic and fun, I think is why I like it so much.
