I started my sharwama business a year ago and I can truthfully tell you that I have not received up to five beef orders since we started.
Everyone is so obsessed with chicken, they want their chicken, grilled, fried, roasted and all that.
Despite the fact that beef is cheaper and even tastes better then chicken, no one wants it.
We even had to stop selling it, cos no one was buying it.
So I would like to get some answers, why is beef being sidelined... What's going on??

BURRITOS
Burrito, a Mexican cuisine widely known in America (both North and South) is a dish very similar to Tacos, sharwama, and other food wraps that I will be discussing in the upcoming weeks: stay tuned!
Burrito, consisting of a flour tortilla as its base, can differ from just about how one would like to have it.
This is what makes it an interesting subject to discuss as a good in terms of how it resembles/furthers the topic of diversity, equality, and inclusion in our world today.
The tortilla base, which comes in different flavoured colours from spinach (green), tomato (red), and wheat (brown) in itself originates from Guatemala, making the dish already diverse already although it’s not completed yet. The vegetables like lettuce, tomatoes, peppers, onions, the various sauces, are all grown and produced in different places even if from the same country. Same goes to the meat/chicken used in the making of a burrito.
A burrito is a beautifully vivid representation of how delicious and perfect diversity, inclusion, and equality looks, feels, and taste like so to speak!!!

Spiky Chicken - House of Chicken, Ibn Battuta
Found on the ground floor near the Metro entrance of Ibn Battuta Mall in Jebel Ali Village. Spiky Chicken (House of Chicken) is a casual dining restaurant with a great variety of chicken dishes on offer. It is a small restaurant with modest seating and is open.
Starters
BBQ Chicken Wings - the best wings we’ve had in Dubai. Crunchy and sweet on the outside and soft succulent meat on the inside perfect combo if you ask me.
-Spiky Chicken Shaker - One of the most recommended dishes! Strong, strong taste of garlic and pickles makes it taste like Sharwama without the bun.
Mains
Hearty Chicken this is 240g of pan-fried chicken, served with a salad it is the perfect meal if you are looking for something lean and mean to eat, it has a great taste and is very succulent. Easy to swallow.
Charcoal Grilled Chicken. Mouthwatering dish served with chips which had peri-peri powder sprinkled on top. The chicken wasn’t grilled to the point where it was blackened, which is a great thing. I would recommend getting extra sauce for this dish as it heightens the taste of the fries. The portion was so large, we had leftovers for the next day.
Both dishes are modestly priced with amazing portion size, making the meals worthwhile.
Drinks
Oreo milkshake, we ordered this twice!!!! Made with real gelato from Yogorino (their dessert store next store)- Fresh Orange Juice tangy and delicious.
Overall it is a great little hotspot for you to relax after a long day of shopping at the Ibn Battuta Mall, and most of all the staff were so attentive and warm! We will definitely be visiting again!

I had the most amazing experience recently when one of my favorite humans treated me to lunch at The Temple Grill a luxury restaurant and outdoor space located at Bendel Estate, Warri, Delta State Nigeria.
I got to know about this place sometime late last year when I saw pictures of it on a friend’s status and since then I have been obsessing over going to this place. You know I am a sucker for aesthetically pleasing spaces and this place met my expectations.
Space: I loved everything about the space, I liked how a small space was beautifully utilized.

It had a small sitting area when you walk in with a lovely swing at the wall with beautiful white mirrors with leads to the passage way with a chess board floor design. I loved the floors and the design on the wall.

The passage way leads to the indoor restaurant and the outdoor floor space with beautiful wooden seats, cabanas and the reception area where you can place your order. Oh and they tried to give it this temple vibe which I absolutely caught on and liked.
Service and Entertainment: The staff were polite and our server was really nice and easy to talk to. He took these photos of us. Service however was a bit slow it took about 10 minutes for our drinks to get to us and another 10-15 minutes for our food to get to us but I didn’t really notice the delay because the entertainment was really good trendy music was blasting from the speakers and I had fun making videos and laughing.
Food:
their menu had a variety of choice meals and drinks at affordable prices. I was caught between ordering chicken fingers and chicken sharwama but the sharwama won.
It was really spicy but Tasty I enjoyed eating it so did he. My friend ordered a salad (rolling eyes) which was really tasty also (we eat off each other’s plates). The drinks however were absolutely divine I ordered a strawberry smoothie that was a mixture of strawberries and ice cream. I absolutely enjoyed every sip he ordered a fresh pineapple smoothie which according to him was simply divine.
Company: Saving the best for last I had the most amazing company. He is such a funny specimen, we have known each other for so many years and it’s amazing to see how much we have grown up. It’s always a great time with him and since it’s his birthday month I just want to say thank you for being one of the best humans I know (I won’t say it twice). I know you will read this so happy birthday dear more years of tormenting you I pray.
In conclusion I had a swell time I rate this place a strong 7.5/10. My favorite thing from that day was this cute kettle used for washing hands very temple like. I will definitely love to revisit before I leave, especially with my sisters (time to get turnt).
