ah, Fallout
that Mission: Impossible where:
Henry Cavill's pornstache carried 40% of the movie on its back, 30% by Lorne Balfe and the entire music department, 5% by Tom Cruise making Top Gun jokes in a helicopter, 5% by Vanessa Kirby and her balisong, and 5% by Liang Yang aka the guy who played the fake John Lark
Luther Stickell cries over finally realizing he's too awesome for this franchise to take out
Benji Dunn can be shipped with four people at once and is the sweetie in all of them, while Henry Cavill admits to shipping himself with Simon Pegg
Benji Dunn talks about Ilsa Faust like he and Ethan Hunt are her adoptive parents but in truth Benji and Ilsa take turns being the mom friend
Benji Dunn also finally gets to masquerade, as Wolf Blitzer and then as the bitch who personally gave him PTSD
Solomon Lane and Benji Dunn have a lot of hard feelings for each other and then the plot tries to climax it with a hanging only to end with us left hanging regarding their dynamic
Alanna Mitsopolis was characterized as the daughter of Max from the first movie for callback points and then everything else about her is just her being badass on her own
Ilsa Faust realizes she looks like the Swedish version of Ethan Hunt's ex-wife Julia Meade who laughingly and unironically passes her the torch to be Ethan's designated girlfriend as the plot demands
August Walker becomes iconic for warming up his boxing arms with the rhythm of a gun cock
Erica Sloane is not sure whom to be a bitch to and so understandably decides to be a bitch to everyone
Alan Hunley—goodbye
Tom Cruise breaks his ankle and pulls off a high altitude low open jump with Henry Cavill a few weeks later
Tom Cruise has to chase Henry Cavill on foot just because it's arguably faster than having to repeat in London the traffic sins he had already done in Paris
Sean Harris likes to sing pop songs to mess with people who pop him out of the trunk
Rebecca Ferguson and Simon Pegg play with lambs while Tom Cruise climbs a rope onto a flying helicopter
Rebecca Ferguson proves exactly why she was cast as a Bene Gesserit in Dune
Jeremy Renner did not come back because Chris McQuarrie tried to kill William Brandt just so the plot could have an inciting incident
Superman gets burned into Two Face
Shaun is almost literally dead, again

Brave New Theory.
Let me get this straight. I'm not being modest or self-deprecating thus I think I’m really good in making up stories not supported by any sources. It's called fiction. Or artistic license.
🤪
Because, you know, fantasy is always a lot more appealing than the reality. Especially when the reality is confusing, messy, and full of lies.
So let me tell you tonight (...today...) a little bedtime story. Let me offer you something more than the cold reality.
🛌📚
(Please, pretend that you trust me and you don't even notice that I’m lying. Come on, let's have fun!)
————
⚡️⚡️⚡️ WARNING. 🧛🏻‍♂️ Allergy Notice.
Contains Some Photos of 🧛🏻‍♂️.
⚡️⚡️⚡️

And as we all know, for Belfast's UK premiere at the BFI London Film Festival on October 12, 2021 Caitríona invited her sister Anne-Marie Balfe with her husband Shaun, He Who Must Not Be Named (aka Cait’s PA) and … Tobias Menzies.
I must say I was surprised by Tobias’ appearance on the RC.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I value his acting skills, it's obvious, but he never seemed to be so close to Caitríona, in my eyes he was just her co-star, nothing less and nothing more.
So because I was upset to see You-Know-Who filling Caitríona’s background with his sideburns and outdated glasses, it crossed my mind that Caitríona invited Tobias only for her prestige and fame. Three weeks earlier Tobias won the Emmy Award for his role as Prince Philip on The Crown Season 4. He is on a roll.
What a chance to show up with such a friend.
But then I realized that thinking like this was petty and vicious and small-minded (naughty girl …).
Maybe the truth lies elsewhere.
Maybe Caitríona invited … her on-screen hubby. Not “Tobias Menzies, Emmy 2021 award winner” but Tobias Menzies, Frank Randall, on-screen hubby, partner in crime, and so on.
Etcetera, etcetera.
You know, on-screen wives love to spend time with on-screen hubbies...
On-screen wives look stunning on the Red Carpet by the side on-screen hubbies.
It is an aesthetic choice.
And there is nothing wrong with that. Nothing suspicious.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So she just set a precedent. One on-screen hubby on Belfast's UK premiere, another on-screen hubby on 2022 Oscar ceremony …
You know, I’m a dreamer. A delusional dreamer.
Please, don’t believe in my wishful thinking.
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

In appendix, Tobias as Caitríona’s guest.
If you don't want to see 🧛🏻‍♂️ grinning from ear to ear then scroll, scroll, scroll.

Update: Netflix has announced today that the prequel series "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" will launch on the streaming service Friday, August 30th!
While you wait, check out the new images below and stay tuned for a trailer!
The 10-episode fantasy adventure series takes place many years before the events of the groundbreaking 1982 fan favorite, and is realized using classic puppetry with cutting edge visual effects created by Jim Henson’s Creature Shop and Brian Froud, the original feature’s conceptual designer! Yep, you read that correctly. Old school puppetry. No CGI!
The series voice cast is led by Taron Egerton (Kingsman), Anya Taylor-Joy (The Witch), and Nathalie Emmanuel ("Game of Thrones"), as Rian, Brea and Deet, three Gelfling heroes.
Other Gelfling characters are voiced by:
Caitriona Balfe ("Outlander")
Helena Bonham-Carter (The King’s Speech)
Harris Dickinson (forthcoming Maleficent 2)
Natalie Dormer ("Game of Thrones")
Eddie Izzard (Ocean’s Thirteen)
Theo James (The Divergent Series)
Toby Jones (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy)
Shazad Latif ("Star Trek: Discovery")
Gugu Mbatha-Raw (The Cloverfield Paradox)
Mark Strong (Kingsman)
Alicia Vikander (Tomb Raider)
The Skeksis and Mystics are voiced by:
Harvey Fierstein (Torch Song)
Mark Hamill (Star Wars)
Ralph Ineson ("Game of Thrones")
Jason Isaacs ("The OA")
Keegan-Michael Key ("Key and Peele")
Ólafur Darri Ólafsson ("True Detective")
Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead)
Andy Samberg ("Brooklyn Nine Nine")
Aughra will be voiced by Donna Kimball (The Happytime Murders). Additional characters will also be voiced by puppeteers from the production, including Alice Dinnean, Louise Gold, Neil Sterenberg and Victor Yerrid. Further casting will follow in due course.
In the series, the world of Thra is dying. The Crystal of Truth is at the heart of Thra, a source of untold power. But it is damaged, corrupted by the evil Skeksis, and a sickness spreads across the land. When three Gelfling uncover the horrific truth behind the power of the Skeksis, an adventure unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins.
Feature film director Louis Leterrier (Now You See Me, The Incredible Hulk) will executive produce the series and direct. "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance" will be a Netflix original series produced by The Jim Henson Company and executive produced by Letterier, Lisa Henson and Halle Stanford. Longtime Henson collaborator Rita Peruggi will serve as producer and Henson’s Blanca Lista will serve as a co-executive producer. Leading the writing are co-executive producers Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews, and Javier Grillo-Marxuach ("Lost", "The 100").

Jenson Button Returning to Silverton to Race
2009 Formula 1 World Champion, Jenson Button will make his McLaren Customer Racing 720S GT3 debut in the Silverstone 500 race this weekend, November 7/8 – three years after he last competed in a McLaren, at the 2017 Monaco Grand Prix. The 15-time Grand Prix winner headlines a record entry for McLaren in the British GT Championship.
Button, who drove for McLaren in Formula 1 for seven seasons, will take part in the three-hour race alongside his Customer Racing Team Jenson Team Rocket RJN co-owner, Chis Buncombe, at the home of the British Grand Prix. His first appearance in a McLaren GT3 car comes as several McLaren Customer Racing Teams line up with hopes of title successes in the final round of the 2020 British GT season – including the race-winning Jenson Team Rocket RJN crew of McLaren Professional Driver Michael O’Brien and World’s Fastest Gamer James Baldwin, who are in contention for the overall GT3 Drivers’ Championship.
“This will be my first taste of a GT3 car but I’m really looking forward it.  It will be lovely to join our team and lining-up in the McLaren 720S with my best buddy Chris Buncombe.  It’s great to come back and race on UK soil again and a big thank you to our partners that have made this possible. It’s a shame that this final round of the Intelligent Money British GT Championship will take place without fans present, but I hope they will tune in to follow our progress!” Jenson Button
Covid-19 restrictions mean that the event will take place behind closed doors, however the race will be broadcast live on the Sky F1 channel - for which Jenson provides expert insight - as well as British GT’s live-streaming channels.
In addition to Jenson Team Rocket RJN’s title ambitions, several McLaren Customer Racing Teams are in contention for silverware this weekend, with nine GT3 entries making this the biggest McLaren entry in the series since the 720GT3 made its championship debut last year:
2 Seas Motorsport will be aiming to end the season as the top McLaren Customer Racing Team, holding a 3.5-point advantage over Jenson Team Rocket RJN. Their three-pronged attack features GT3 Silver Cup title contenders Jack Mitchell and Jordan Witt, as well as Angus Fender and Dean Macdonald, plus Al Faisal Al Zubair and McLaren Professional Driver Martin Kodric.
Optimum Motorsport fields McLaren Professional Driver Ollie Wilkinson and McLaren Academy Driver Lewis Proctor, Brendan Iribe and Ollie Millroy, plus Mark Crader and Alex Mortimer.
Balfe Motorsport – which gave the 720S GT3 its British GT debut last year - returns to GT3 action with Shaun Balfe and McLaren Factory Driver Rob Bell.
In addition to the GT3 championship challenge, McLaren Customer Racing Teams are in contention for GT4 class honors with five 570S GT4 entered for Silverstone:
HHC Motorsport’s crew of McLaren Academy Driver Jordan Collard and co-driver Patrick Matthiesen are currently just 2.5-points behind the leader in the GT4 standings and are also in contention for the GT4 Silver Cup title. Gus Bowers and Chris Wesemael will be helping HHC to claim the GT4 Teams’ Championship.
Balfe Motorsport’s McLaren Factory Driver Euan Hankey and double Pure McLaren champion Mia Flewitt will be crowned GT4 Pro-Am champions, having secured the title prior to this weekend. Also representing Balfe Motorsport in GT4 will be Jan Klingelnberg and Warren Hughes, plus Lars Dahmann and Charlie Hollings.
Qualifying for this weekend’s final round of the British GT Championship at Silverstone is scheduled to take place at 15:00 on Saturday, with the three-hour race starting at 12:50 on Sunday. Live coverage will be available to watch on British GT’s website and SRO’s GT World Youtube channel, whilst Sky F1 will also be broadcasting the race live from 12:45 on Sunday.
