Been trying to look at face claims for both Shay Cormac & Connor Kenway and I'm just not finding I can settle on any particular one I am 100% satisfied with, especially Connor.

I usually get uncomfortable having non-live action FCs (animated, comic, etc) to the point that it's in my rules that I won't interact with them.

I've used some icons for my Edward Kenway (what little my brain has let me do with him) that have used his face from in AC: Black Flag (but also some of his voice actors face as well). So maybe there's something different for certain characters. The AC characters do look quite realistic, so maybe that's it. I'm honestly not sure.

I had thought about Michael Fass.ben.der for Shay but i'm not completely sure on him. I can't find a native american FC for Connor that fits him either.

So I don't know whether I should just use their in game faces and barely use icons.

Heisenberg:

I recognize Heisenberg is a villian and was like a mad scientist and experimented on corpses to make in soldats. But it was for a revolution against Mother Miranda so shh.

Also I do have beef with how he is treated by a lot of simps as a sex icon or sex god. Or like his only personality trait is horny. I cannot stand it. I would go more in depth about it but we’d be here all week and I’d probably be harassed in dms so whatever. Just stop watering him down to some horndog for goodness sake. Regardless of the more questionable fanon versions of him, I adore Heisenberg wholeheartedly. He captured my heart in a way unlike any other character (Arthur is a close second) and I’m happy to be able to appreciate him at full capacity.

Shay Cormac:

Aka: my biggest comfort character to date. (2 year anniversary of him being my main CC was last month) I adore this man with my whole soul and will defend him till I croak. Goodest boi and I will forever be salty they cut half his game. Maybe people would understand him better.

I also relate to him a stupid amount so my love for him is vast but a bit different compared to Heis & Arthur.

Arthur Morgan:

Sweetest boah to grace the ear. Love of my life and could do know wrong. Technically he committed a lot of crimes but semantics aside he is a gem. A diamond in the rough, if you will. He is such a himbo and yet at the same time he is sharper then what vibe he gives off. If I could I’d square up with his traitors and carry him around in my bag and protect him from ever getting sick. 10000/10 good boi. Would def smash with feelings.

1. evie frye. knows how to dress, layers well, rocks every colour. knows how to be sophisticated, sexy, cute & practical all at the same time teach me your ways miss frye. + 10000 points for the cut, colour, collar, neckline & all out awesomeness of this outfit alone 😍😍

1.5. jacob frye. good style runs in the frye family. similar notes as above. wears the hell out of a top hat. only person to look hot in a flatcap. somehow achieves "perfect english gentlemen" and "loud troublemaking brit" depnding on which jacket he chooses.

2. arno dorian. is the reason the french are considered "fashionable". cool jacket nice capes stylosh hoods. wears ridiculously bright colour combination and pulls them all off. tight pants. titty shirt

3. ezio auditore. you cant kill borgias if you ain't cute. def the first guy who saw boring old white assassin robes and said fuck that im dyeing it green and adding a matching cape. A+ layering. A+ branding. added flair to every armour piece he collected. turned

4. aveline de grandpre. dressed for the part and was the only one to actually dress for the part. super cute "pirate" assassin blend outfit + super cute dresses.

6. kassandra of sparta. looks cute in everything. applies war makeup if necessary. shows her thighs and her swords an equal amount good for her.

7. shay cormac. knew he looked good in black and stuck to it (tell me he didnt turn to the templars cause he got sick of wearing white). lots of leather. honestly probably never got hat hair.

8. connor kenway/ ratonhnhaké:ton. made wearing red white and blue fashionable. has a nice cut to his coat. shoulders for days and he knows it.

8. altair ibn la'ahad. ranks higher for the Iconic Assassin Robes. simple but effective design. defined the cut & shape of everyone else robes since.

9. edward kenway. simple design. nice simple cut and shape. accessorizes. man bun. guns on show (literally). probs not to well dressed for th weather tho 😬. cutest best dressed pirate tho.

10. eivor. little colour variation, shape or cut. lots of fur & metal. points for the no shirt, however ranked very low for the bear hat. you hate to see it.

The fandom might love Alty but he’s a little shit and goes through a real slow burn romance. Who else is a little shit that goes through a real slow burn romance? Boom. The Beast. You can’t help but feel a bit bad for either of them. And they get better bc they are both vv lucky to have Belle and Maria at the end of the day. 

Ezio Auditore da Firenze - Prince Naveen:

Coming up second place in the “little shit” category. OKAY maybe Ezio isn’t a prince or gets turned into a frog but here’s the thing; both of them have to have a little slice of humble pie shoved into their faces thru their journeys. And also the whole nobility or rich people getting shoved away from their families and losing everything at the hands of a guy with otherwordly magic? It works.

Ratonhnhaké:ton/Connor Kenway - Prince Charming:

Underrated. If you don’t like Charming then you only saw the first Cinderella and NOT the cinematic masterpiece of Cinderella 3. You didn’t dig deep. And you have to do understand this amazing Assassin don’t underestimate him please I beg you. Also both have authority issues and are complete little shits to their dads so I MEAN it works.

Edward Kenway - Aladdin:

They are here for a good time, not a long time. They will steal your pants and not feel bad. But at the end of the day, they just want to be loved and do something great (will never forgive the Aladdin creators for stripping “Proud of Your Boy okay) and see wealth as a means to an end. 

Shay Cormac - Prince Eric:

More chaotic forces. Not chaotic neutral but close. Jacob is the exact kind of crazy to scale a tower with no ladders or anything and Flynn is the exact brand of wild to look at something shiny (like the entire London town) and be like “huh. i like it and want to Keep It”. Also having Iconic Facial Hair does help.

Bayek of Siwa - Kristoff:

I mean animal companions they got that straight off the bat. ALSO Bayek drinks his respect women juice like. So hard you guys. What does Kristoff drink? Probably a lot of ice water AND his respect women juice. Underrated.

Alexios - Hercules:

Obvious? Maybe. But they are Greek, they are buff, they are himbo supremes, they have lost their homes and families and strive to reunite them and become a hero to get back that they feel they have lost and must be worthy of again, they are himbo supremes,

So, I was tagged for this little game by @hikarry and, just like any unstable person, instead of sleeping, I grabbed my laptop and I’m going to do the game now 😌

1. Why did you choose your URL?

Well, I used to be shay-makes-my-luck and I had another secondary blog where I was posting, ahem, little thoughts and “cute” (read: cringy) poems or things to my crush who would never see those posts. It was called dearpaixao and eventually I recycled that name for my fanfiction blog. It sounded cuter and shorter than the first name, which also made me appear too “one-fandom centric”, if that makes sense.

I ended up taking a long break from fanfiction, in the middle of 2018. Complicated stuff going on, and I didn’t feel satisfied? Plus, I was constantly running into writer’s blocks.

When I came back in 2019, I feel somewhat “distant” from my old writing, style-wise and maybe even the person I was back then. But, I was still very much in love with dearpaixao. So, I decided to create carissimipaixao, where I would start from scratch! It’s actually as if you only added “[dear]est” to the previous username and then translated it to Latin.

My previous blog is still up, though as an archive. It’s embarassing, actually.

2. Any side blogs?

This blog is one! And, like I said, dearpaixao is still up, though for archive reasons.

3. How long have you been on Tumblr?

Probably since 2014? Officially began posting here on 2016.

4. Do you have a queue tag?

Well, not really? I have programmed a few posts (such as Six Sentence Sunday and WIP Wednesday), and I have contemplated programming fanfiction stories, as well. Though, since I also have to cross-post on AO3, I don’t really do it.

5. Why did you start your blog in the first place?

Dearpaixao (or, shay-makes-my-luck) was created because I wanted to begin posting Shay Cormac fanfiction. Sha[y]melessly. Then, this one was because I wanted to start anew, as if I was a completely different person as I was back in dearpaixao. Though, to this day, I wonder if I should’ve just continued on the same blog.

6. Why did you choose you icon/pfp?

It’s actually a photograph of the faceclaim I have chosen for my Glory and Carnations fanfiction! Her name is Mikaela Lupu.

7. Why did you choose your header?

Currently, don’t have one.

8. What’s your post with the most notes?

Fondness, my official first fanfiction for Lupin, with 123 notes 💖🥺

Previously, it would’ve been Raging Saints, which may be revamped soon.

9. How many mutuals do you have?

Overall, maybe between 6 and 8, but in terms of how close I am with them, then it’d be 2. They know who they are.

Currently, 111 ohh angel number

My archive blog has recently passed 300, but I still wonder why people bother to follow that blog when it’s clearly inactive.

Nope.

Well, I open it a lot when I’m bored, when I want to see what’s up on my dashboard. So, I’ll open it a few times throughout the day.

I don’t think I have, no. Though, I think I’ve nearly had one recently, though with an Anon.

15. How do you feel about “you need to reblog” posts?

If it’s interesting, if it’s helpful, if it may help me, then sure, I’ll reblog it.

Well, @latte-to-go deserves all the recognizition in the world for her writing and amazing plots! The thought she puts into everything? Stunning. A true role model when it comes to writing, outlining and planning stories/series. Do check out her work! She’s the reason I even created shay-makes-my-luck and, later, carissimipaixao!
