Shay😭😩. I’m on my period right now and it hurts like a bitch but at the same time it makes me horny so may i request period sex with bucky please? Hehehhehe more on praise too🥹
Cramps and..
Warnings: Period sex, shower sex, all the sex
"Fuck"
You hissed, groaning as a new wave of cramps took over, combining with your throbbing clit that had been screaming for attention ever since your period started. You tried to shake off the discomfort, giving Bucky a strained smile while he watched you grit your teeth.
"You okay there doll?" He walked over to where you were lying down on your bed, your laptop off to the side and a heating pad on your abdomen.
"Cramps"
Bucky nodded, climbing into bed with you and spooning you from behind, his arm slung around your waist, rubbing gentle circles where he knew he hurt the most.
You squirmed against him, growing more frustrated than feeling at ease in his hold. You knew he meant well, he really did, but it didn't help that his cologne evaded your senses, his body heat pressed against you. You felt goosebumps erupt on your skin each time he shifted, the hard muscles of his body rubbing against you.
"What's wrong baby?, you okay?" Bucky sat up slightly so he could look at you, hugging you closer.
"M'fine" you huffed but Bucky knew you were anything but that.
"Does it still hurt? I can run to the store and pick you up something stronger-
"No, its not that"
"What is it?"
"I-
"What is it sweet heart" Bucky's sincere eyes made your face burn, how could you tell him what you really needed right now was for him to pull his dick out and fuck you until- "Baby?"
"I'm fucking horny Bucky!"
"Is that all princess?" He murmured, his nose bumping against yours. A devilish grin spread across his face, rolling you over and pulling you flush against him. You squeaked when he held you securely while getting up, carrying you both over to the bathroom.
****
"Good girl" He whispered, his cock filling you perfectly from behind while he held you still, nipping your shoulder. The hot water of the shower had eased your cramps away but the ache between your legs only grew stronger. His hands moved to cup both your breasts in his hands, trailing down your body. He started off slow, his cock dragging in and out of you, loving the way your pussy sucked him back in, your greedy walls even more sensitive during this time of the month.
"You're so gorgeous angel" Bucky moaned, his eyes trained on how his hips were snapping against your ass, his hands firmly grabbing onto your hips. He slammed your hips against him to meet his thrusts, wasting no time in building your orgasm already.
"S'good Bucky, don't stop baby, keep-keep going" You cried out as he started to fuck you faster, his cock hitting your g-spot perfectly. Your moans bounces off the shower walls, making Bucky's cock swell, biting his lip when he felt you clench around him.
"My pretty baby, you're such a good girl for me baby, you know that?" He pulled out of you, turning you around and lifting you so your legs were wrapped around his waist. He filled you again, keeping you pressed against the cold tile wall.
"Don't stop Bucky" You moaned, your eyes locked with his while he gazed down at you, eyes trailing up and down your body.
"Never babydoll, fuck, I love this body, I love this face, I love you"
The overwhelming sensations of pleasure along with everything in overdrive was too much, tears spilling down your cheeks while he continued to grip you tightly against his body. "What's wrong baby?" Bucky cooed, cupping your face while a tear slipped out, his thumb brushing your cheek.
"L-love you"
Bucky kissed your tears away, his hand coming down to press against your abdomen where his cock bulged out. You nearly saw starts when he pressed down more, his blunt tip rubbing right against your g-spot perfectly. Bucky let out a dark chuckle, feeling your vice like grip, you were so close-
"Feel that baby? Does it feel good?" You nodded, moaning loudly in response as he fucked into you faster, chasing his own high so he could cum with you. "I know, m'right there with you sweet heart, go on, cum for me baby, cum"
You came right on his comment, your body convulsing while Bucky groaned, spilling his load into you.
"I love you so much angel"
*****
"Feeling better?"
You floated in and out of sleep in a comfy henley of his, happily wrapped under the covers with him. You nuzzled your face into his chest, breathing in his scent, your body finally relaxed in his hold. He grinned to himself, feather light kisses all over your face while you fell asleep, a content sigh slipping past your lips.
"L-love you"
"I love you

Matty and rg taking Gigi to get her ears pierced because she’s been begging them for ages and mattys all protective dad and doesn’t want her to have them done
i love this. i think matty makes gigi wait until she is eight years old. then, the day after her eighth birthday, she wakes you guys up and simply says "you promised." and you did. so it's off to town you go to get her ears pierced.
gigi skips ahead of you guys into town, holding shay's hand and whispering that maybe if mum and dad see how easy it is and how cool she will definitely be about then maybe they will drop the wait til youre eight rule for shay and let her get them done earlier.
so they go into claires in the mall and you ask for an ear piecing for your daughter, and matty hangs behind quietly with shay in his arms until they lead gigi over to the seat and he starts asking "so you sanitize the needle right? like it's clean" and "like do most kids cry when they get it done? how much does it hurt them?" and "you wont make her bleed will you? like you'll be careful?" and you're rolling your eyes at the woman who is just saying "yes sir," and "it will sting a little but then it's over," and gigi gets in the chair all confident and chooses her earrings, little gold studs, and then they put the gun to her ear and matty says "gi hold my hand" and she is like "dad i'm fine" but he says "it's not for you, hold my hand" and so she does and squeezes it tight for him.
when the first piercing goes in there is a moment of silence when gigi goes white but her ear goes bright red and matty squeaks, and gigi, trying to be brave, blinks back tears and says "ow" and matty says "you okay? baby you okay?" and the panic in his voice makes gigi cry even though she is saying "i'm fine," through her tears.
"matty, get out," you say.
"what?"
"take shay and go get a pretzel," you say, taking gigis hand "you're stressing her out."
"i'm not stressing her out, i'm taking it seriously."
"it's an ear piercing matthew, you literally have them yourself."
"yes but this is my baby's skin. her tiny ears. its a million times more precious than mine."
"exactly why you cant be here. go. pretzel."
you shove him gently on the chest and he goes, huffing.
"ready?" you ask gigi, and she sniffs and nods and rolls her eyes and says "sorry about my dad," to the woman, "he's just obsessed with me."
you leave claires, gigi skipping ahead of you, looking at her freshly pierced ears any reflection and grinning. matty is leaning up against the wall outside, shay at his ankles, both covered in cinnamon sugar dust.
"let me see, beautiful" he says, and holds gigi's face with both his big hands and says "wow! so pretty"
"right?" gigi says and then starts whining for a pretzel because shay got one and shay is whining because gigi got her ears pierced and she didnt and matty picks up his youngest again and grabs gigi in a tight tight hug and says "i love you so much baby, i love you."
gigi squirms and wriggles out saying "dad you're so weird," and he straightens up and smiles because he knows that she knows she is the most loved kid on the entire planet, only matched by her little sister who he holds close now before she gets to the age she starts calling him weird too.

shay kat’s au moodboard — tangled au
if it wasn’t clear, this is inspired by the lovely shay ( @lesbianantlerqueen ) and their au format! ronance nation had a few too many convos about a tangled au and here we are. i apologize for the quality, i am balls deep in finals and my one last stop au but i am so enthralled by this au, so i hope you will be too.
Nancy stared down at the landscape below her window, butterflies deep in the pit of her stomach. The whole world at her disposal, if only she would take the leap of faith. Leaving with an apparent rogue didn’t seem like the best idea, but she didn’t appear to have any other options.
“Are you coming, Nance?” Robin Hoode called from below as she continued to scale the wall, her light brown hair whipping in the wind.
Nancy looked back at Dart from his place beneath a layer of long chestnut curls, the butterflies suddenly turning to dread. For a moment, she supposed her Papa was right. Her home here was safe; she knew nothing would hurt her if she stayed inside. The outside had poisonous creatures and plants and people who could try to kill her and probably dozens of other things Papa never told her about, but the outside also had nature–beautiful flowers and stars and animals that made the entire world vibrant and diverse–that she would never experience if she didn’t leave.
Dart gave her a sympathetic squeak, as though to encourage her on her quest into the great beyond. “You’ve been wanting to leave for years,” Nancy pointed out, although she didn’t retreat back inside. “But…I have too.”
Nancy took a deep breath, before hooking her hair onto the pulley as she had for years and years and jumped down. At once, all of her senses were overtaken by the world around her, pulling in all the smells, sights, sounds, and feelings around her. Everything felt like too much, and yet like not enough all at once. She couldn’t get enough of it, but it also made her feel dizzy. In the midst of it all (and stopping herself from crashing down onto the grass), she barely had a chance to catch Robin’s face, though a gawking expression remained glued to the stranger’s expression long after they both hit the ground.
Grass smelled nothing like she imagined. In her head, she pictured it to smell the way the herbs Papa brought for her on occasion did–zesty and fresh with a bit of bitterness–but it was a different sort of smell altogether. And it was softer than she imagined, almost like tiny pieces of her favorite goose down blanket had been placed on the earth and dyed a bright green. Even the sky had a smell and a taste, like fresh flowers or fruit and something she couldn’t quite place.
She did it. She was outside.
bully me into finishing my wips!

Pidge skated a tongue over Lance’s lower lip and muttered, “Is that coconut?
His breath hot against her mouth, he laughed softly. “Coconut lip balm. Like it?”
Her fingers wound around the hair at the nape of his neck and she pulled his mouth to hers. “Uh-huh.” They were on the little couch in the Atlas’ junior officers’ lounge, taking a small break from a long day of running through survey logs for this sector of the universe, searching for any trace of Honerva and her robeasts.
But two Paladins, in the throes of new love, left alone in a quiet corner of the Earth’s most advanced battleship, were like powerful magnets, unable to resist each other’s pull. She’d gone from sitting primly at his side, sipping coffee, to sitting on his lap and exploring the different ways that one could kiss someone. They were both wearing their Voltron Garrison uniforms, and she was finding that sitting on someone’s lap while wearing boots was light years from comfortable. This, however, was a small sacrifice in the service of science. Pidge, always the consummate researcher, was taking the study of Lance’s mouth very seriously.
“Oh, no,” said a voice behind them. “Get a room, you two. Or go make out in a Lion.”
Pidge squeaked in surprise and her teeth banged against Lance’s. Turning, she found Hunk standing in the lounge’s doorway, a coffee mug in hand and a surprisingly sour expression on the usually cheerful Paladin’s broad face.
“If I’m not stumbling over you two going at it, I’m tripping over Keith and Shiro.” His boots thumped on the floor as he went to the coffee machine and poured himself a hot cup of java. “It’s like Paladin mating season around here.”
“Somebody got up on the wrong side of the bed,” said Lance. “Go call Shay. That’ll make you less salty.”
Hunk’s face was structured for cheer and the gloom that lengthened his genial visage startled Pidge. Realizing she was still on Lance’s lap, not the best position to address a friend’s distress, she reseated herself on the couch beside him.
A little smile twitched her lips as Lance tugged at the bottom of his uniform’s shirt, covering his obvious arousal. A reminder that she needed to visit the Atlas’ infirmary for birth control. So far, they’d managed to restrain themselves from going that far, both hoping for a more romantic locale for their first time together, something other than a cramped bunk on the Atlas or a Lion’s cockpit.
Lance, ever the consummate romantic, had a plan. “My brother told me about a B&B in Matanzas, back home. The perfect romantic getaway.”
At the rate this war was going, she’d be eighty years old before it ended, though, so better to prepare in the event they lost control.
Lance’s arm looped around her shoulders and she snuggled against him, eyes on Hunk.
“What’s up, buddy?” asked Lance. “Trouble in paradise?”
“I just got off a vid-call with Shay,” Hunk said. “She says her grandmother is planning her…” Hunk reached to his head and fiddled with the ends of his yellowy-orange headband. “I can’t remember the word, but it’s a Balmeran coming-of-age ceremony. At the conclusion of this ceremony, she will be considered an official adult and able to be courted by eligible Balmeran males.”
“Well, there you go, pal,” said Lance. “That’s your opening. You can finally tell her how you feel and do some courting.”
Hunk’s face somehow lengthened even more. “Balmerans, guys. I’m not Balmeran.”
“That does present a problem,” agreed Pidge.
“No,” said Lance. “Love is love and you two are definitely into each other.”
Mouth set in a sad curve, Hunk stared at them with worry in his dark eyes. “But—”
“Nope,” Lance cut him off. “No ‘buts.’ Look at me. If I hadn’t made my move, it might have been James Griffin sitting here next to the prettiest girl genius in the universe.”
“What?” said Pidge. “James Griffin?”
“Yeah, him.” Lance shrugged. “He was always asking me, ‘Is Pidge seeing anyone?’”
“Get out!” Pidge smacked him on the leg. “How come you never told me?”
“Right. Like I’m going to tell you the competition is into you.” He pointed at her face. “And you don’t have to seem so thrilled to know this.”
Feeling mischievous, she smirked. “Well, he is cute and an MFE pilot.”
“I’m a Paladin of Voltron!” Lance’s voice squeaked at a frequency that probably made dogs howl. “That’s better than an MFE pilot. Tell her, Hunk. Tell her that’s better.”
Hunk held out his hands, palms out. “I, uh, this is getting messy. I need to bake something. Cooking therapy.” With that he sidled quickly out of the lounge.
Aside from the clomp of Hunk’s boot-heels on the floor, no sounds of nearby interrupting people could be heard, so Pidge turned and climbed back into Lance’s lap, only to find him staring sullenly at anything but her.
“What?” she said, setting her hands on his shoulders and giving him a firm shake.
“You were into James Griffin?”
She swept her gaze up and down the contours of his angular face, taking in every familiar detail, every line that made up his face, calculating, and coming to a strange conclusion, though she might be wrong. Her calculations regarding the human equation often were.
“You’re jealous of James Griffin.”
“‘Well, he is cute and an MFE pilot.’” Lance quoted, his voice pitched to match hers.
Her view of him shrank in her narrowed eyes. “Years,” she said, giving him a shove with both her hands. “For years I’ve watched you flirt with every girl who entered your radius.”
His mouth quirked in a nervous combination of frown and smile. “That was different. They were nobody. I didn’t know or respect them.”
He shrank to a thin band of brown skin and blue eyes as her gaze narrowed with more irritation. “You flirted with Allura. Endlessly. You went on a date with Allura.”
“I, erm.” He rubbed the back of his head. “I did. That date, Allura shooting down any romance between her and me, was one of the best things that ever happened to me.”
“Oh?” Really? Now? After months of showing real interest in her, calling her beautiful, now he was going to admit she was just a rebound, a second choice? Her heart lurched with disappointment.
“If I hadn’t gone on that date, I might not have acknowledged how I felt about you. If I hadn’t gone on that date, Allura wouldn’t have told me you loved me and I wouldn’t have had the courage to take a chance with a girl so out of my league.”
“She said what?”
Lance’s extremely mobile face moved from sweetly melancholic to entirely too smug. “She said you love me. That’s why you bought Allura a dress. Bartered a rare video game for it.”
“That was an awesome game.” Pidge sighed.
He reached to her face and gave her nose a little tweak. “When this is over, when we’re back on Earth, I’m going to find you a copy and we’re going to play it. Maybe at the B&B that Luis suggested.”
“I think,” said Pidge, running her fingers along his jawline from pointy chin to his ears, “we’ll be doing a lot more than playing video games.” And she got back to her comprehensive study of his lips.

Kade and Carson watching their dad get ready for his service and crying a little, like seeing Jin getting his head shaved things like that. Also mama kim holding back her tears. That breaks my heart.
I love your writing shay, thanks 🫶🫶🫶
Though Jin went to the military before the boys were born in the Toddler Series universe, I'm still gonna write this for fun lol
"I don't like it." A four year old Carson deadpanned as he glared at his father. The entire Kim family had gathered in the bathroom, where Jin had asked Mama Kim to cut his hair off for him as he prepared to leave for his service in a week.
"What's wrong with it?" Jin wondered. "Did Mommy do a bad job?"
"Hey," you huffed as you looked at your husband through the mirror. "You might wanna watch what you say when I still have these clippers in my hands."
"Sorry jagi," Jin chuckled. "But what's wrong with it?"
"Your head looks weird," Carson elaborated, squeaking when Kaiden hit him on the arm. "He does!"
"You just look really different," Kaiden said. "It's weird seeing you with no hair. Plus, it means you're about to leave us."
"Boys, we've talked about this remember?" Jin sighed. "I'm going to come home and visit sometimes. It'll be kind of like when I'm on tour."
"I don't like that either," Carson huffed and his tone of voice made you look over at him, knowing that he was probably near tears. Sure enough, you looked over just in time to see a single tear slide down his voice.
"Oh Car," Jin murmured, getting off of the stool he had been sitting on to get on his knees in front of his youngest son. "I'm not gonna be gone for forever, you know? I am coming back."
"I'm gonna miss you," Carson pouted.
"Me too," Kaiden muttered with a sniffle and you watched with misty eyes as Jin pulled both of them into a tight hug.
"I'm gonna miss you guys too," Jin whispered, pressing soft kisses to both of their heads.

It's probably rude of him, but it's clear Red is captured by Cayci the Gavantula's adorable self, endeared by pricky yellow legs and bug eyes; the brunette squats down to her eye level, pulling a loose oran berry out of his sweatshirt pocket to try and win her over.
He could've done with a brief greeting to her trainer, but there was no time for that!
Tumblr media
Shay was relieved she didn't have to immediately socialize when there was a bright squeak and chitter of high pitched spider noises behind her. Cayci looked at Red with curiosity, and no fear. She loved people far more than her trainer did!
"...brreep?"
Shay and Cayci watched as the stranger pulled out an oran berry. The bug's eyes lit up with pure glee. Free snacks! Congrats Red, you now had a friend. She wasn't keen on letting you forget it either.
"Kiiii!" Her little front legs took it and she gingerly munched on it with all the politeness she could muster. Once her snack was done, she turned to Shay and tugged on her leg, reaching for her pocket with an expectant stare."
"... yeah okay sure." Shay replied, handing the Galvantula a text to speech device that looked like... no it was a phone. Yep an actual phone, she knew how to use one of those.
Tiny arms managed to text quite well. Cayci was well practised after all. A few key strokes here and there and she showed it to her new friend.
'FREN!!!11!! NEW FRIEND!!11!!! HI I AM CAYCI THIS SHAY :D MY BEST FREN :DDDDD'
She was a big fan of all caps.

Evil Lair has a bit of a mouse problem so some mouse traps have been set up. Bennett sees a mouse stuck in a mouse trap and starts bawling.
Bonus points if somehow he convinces his parents to keep it.
The mouse problem was certainly becoming a problem.
Doctor Shay D. Guy had a long name, but his plan was simple.
Jelly. On paper. Over a small spike pit! No more mice in the evil lair. And it was effective. But then there was kids in the lair.
And Bennett was soft hearted.
“Dad!” He wailed, holding a weak mouse in his hands. “Daddy!”
Chad and Noir both run into the room, battle ready. No one is taking their kid away again. Ever. Chad crouches, “What’s wrong, Bennett?” He asks gently.
Tears streaming, the kid shows the two the mouse, sticky from the jelly and injured from the spikes.
“Oh.” Chad should probably have been prepared for this. “OH.” He looks at his- looks at Noir.
Noir shrugs, trying to step out of the room. Chad grabs his hand and pulls him over. They keep holding hands as they explain mouse traps.
Bennett is not happy about mice traps. “They don’t know it’s our house! Why are you hurting them!?” He leans away from the two adults, wanting to keep his new little friend safe.
Noir sighs. “We can’t let them live in our house. They eat our food and make a mess everywhere.”
“That’s what your goons do! And me! Are you going to make traps for us?!” Bennett yells.
“No!” Chad and Noir yelp at the same time.
“You want me to capture the mice?” Shay asks, an eyebrow raised.
“Yes. My goons can release them in the hero’s houses.” Sir has the jelly paper. “I’m not dealing with Bennett crying again, it’s bad enough he’s already named the mouse he rescued.”
“Fine.” Shay turns back to his paper plans, “Give me five.”
“Five what?”
“Five GET OUT OF MY LAB AND PUT THAT GOO DOWN I KNOW YOU HAVE IT!”
The goon mice relocation team is great at annoying the heroes, and Sir is actually really happy with this.
Chad and Bennett eventually reach an agreement. Chad makes sure none of the mice are harmed, and Bennett keeps Squeaks in his room and doesn’t let them get out.
@the-belle-sisters as Bennett
@doctor-shay-d-guy as Doc/Shay
@deadless-corpse as Sunny/Chad

There's a Way (Chapter Three)
Summary: This is Part Thirteen of my series A Herrmann/Halstead Production. It is an AU where Christopher Herrmann's mom had an affair with Pat Halstead resulting in a baby. The series follows this OC character (Rebecca "Bex" Herrmann) as she grows up and gets to know her brothers and the various Chicago teams. It is very much an AU, just to underscore that. It doesn't follow the same timeline and characters will follow different paths.
Click here for the Series Rundown where you can find the links to read all of the previous installments (which I highly recommend you do so that this one makes sense.)
Rating: Teen Audiences and Up
Relationships: Christopher Herrmann & Original Female Character, Jay Halstead & Original Female Character, Will Halstead & Original Female Character, Jay Halstead & Will Halstead, Greg 'Mouse' Gerwitz & Original Female Character, pre-Will Halstead/Connor Rhodes
Warnings: Stress over coming out, discussion of past abuse, emotional hurt/comfort, Pat Halstead being a horrible human being, angst with a happy ending.
A/N: I'll post the link to the ao3 page at the bottom. This story has not only an OC character, but some quirky elements which may or may not be everyone's jam. Just FYI. Updates will be slow coming as I pick away at them during breaks from work. I couldn't take a full break from this though - I'm too excited to write it so I made working on this series my reward for when I get stuff done, lol

Chapter Two
Chapter Three
Bex
Nothing in her life could have prepared her for this moment. Bex was dying.
Jay and Mouse were bouncing around the stage singing I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) in the worst Scottish accents she’d ever heard.
This was the best night of her life.
Mouse caught her grin during one of the ‘da da da das’ and grinned back with an imaginary hat tip before getting caught up in another bounce with Jay.
They both took a deep bow as the song finished and soaked up the cheers.
Beau stepped up as they returned to their seats. “Ten points for Team CPD and what do you think, Bex? 10 bonus points for style?”
“And 10 for the accents,” she laughed.
“Rigged!” Someone from the CFD side called out and she waggled a finger at them.
“Don’t make me dock points for unsportsmanlike conduct!”
“Who’s next?” Beau called out.
“Brett, Brett, Brett!” Gabi and Shay chanted.
“What?” Sylvie squeaked. “Oh, no, no, no, thank you.” But the others were already propelling her toward the hat. She laughed nervously. “Okay, I guess I can—” She dipped her fingers into the hat and pulled out a slip of paper, heaving a huge sigh of relief once she read it. “Oh, thank god.” She handed the paper to Bex and went back to her seat.
“What—” Bex looked down at the paper and read out loud, “Free Pass – Bex Sings for You? Who wrote this?”
Crickets.
“This is cheating for sure,” she waved the paper.
“I don’t know,” Otis said, stroking his chin in an extremely suspicious attempt at looking casual. “Why don’t we ask the other, totally impartial judge for his opinion?”
She opened her mouth to shut that down when Beau cut in with—“I’ll allow it.”
“Come on, Bex,” Joe called out. “21 got to hear you sing. We want to hear it too!”
The rest of Team CFD and Team Med chimed in with their agreement. Will, the traitor, being one of the most vocal ones and he’d heard her sing. “Okay, fine,” Bex said. “But I don’t think it should count as a turn.”
“Wait, does that mean I still have to go?” She heard Sylvie’s quiet, slightly panicked question as she dug through the hat. Bex pulled out a slip and laughed.
“Okay, I know who put this song in.” Bex showed it to Beau before pointing a finger out at Cindy. “Your favourite song from your favourite movie?”
Cindy gasped and cheered in her seat.
“But, Bex,” Beau said, smirking as he read over her shoulder. “This is a duet.”
“Yeah, yeah, grab a mic.”
“Only because you asked so nicely.” He handed one over to her as well before cueing up their song. She could see Cindy vibrating in her seat as Beau crooned out the opening lines to I’ve Had The Time of My Life.
Within seconds, Cindy was pulling a protesting Chris out of his seat to dance. Kim got Adam up, followed by Gabi and Matt. Soon enough, everyone was dancing while Beau and Bex were belting out the song.
***
Shay
She squinted at Bex and her friend singing their hearts out on the stage as she danced with Julie. “Do you think something’s going on with them?”
Julie looked over, tilting her head. “Do you really want to know or are you worried about the bet?”
“The bet you want nothing to do with?” Shay laughed.
“Yes, that one.”
“Little of both,” Shay said.
“Hmm,” Julie watched Bex and then turned her focus on Beau. “They have chemistry, but Bex isn’t into it like he is. She’s having fun, but he’s playing into it more.” Her eyebrows raised after Beau spun Bex into a twirl. “Ooh, he’s definitely playing into it. Dude just smirked at Mouse.”
Shay gasped. “Do you think he knows about the bet?”
Julie rolled her eyes. “I think he’s trying to light a fire under Mouse’s butt,” she said. “But I don’t think Bex knows that’s what he’s doing.”
Shay gasped again. “Beau is Team Bouse. Team Mex. Wow, we need to come up with a better name for this.”
“Please just dance,” Julie laughed.
“On it.”
***
Bex
The contest kind of devolved after the impromptu dance party. All the teams had mixed together so people just had fun singing the songs and she and Beau declared them all winners.
“So, you’re saying we won,” Mouch called out.
“You all won,” she yelled back.
“Still hearing that we won,” he said, laughing as Trudy swatted at him.
Beau helped her and Chris pack up the equipment and then pulled her over the side. “Thanks for letting me stay,” he said. “That was actually a lot of fun.”
“You should watch out,” she joked. “Chris might rope you into being a judge again if this becomes a regular thing.”
“I could live with that,” he smiled at her. “This is a pretty good group you’ve got here. Especially that guy over there, who can’t keep his eyes off you.” She followed his subtle nod over to where Mouse was standing. “I think we made him jealous tonight.” He waggled his eyebrows at her.
“I will murder you in this room full of people,” Bex muttered. “I was wondering why you were being so hip swingy.”
“Just trying to help you out!” Beau raised his hands in protest.
“I’m good,” she said firmly. “Hey, you never said what the favour was that you came by for.”
“Right!” Beau snapped his fingers. “We’re going to put a record together and we want you to sing on one of the songs if you’re down?”
“What? Of course,” Bex agreed instantly. She’d do that even if she didn’t owe them a favour.
“Awesome, I’ll tell Patti,” Beau said. “Record the song for free and we’ll call it even for the gig? But if we make any money, you’ll get a cut.” He waved a hand to cut off her protests. “That’s fair, Bex. No arguments.”
“Okay, fine,” she said. “Let me know when you’re planning it and I’ll make it work.”
“It’s a date,” Beau winked at her. He gave her a hug before heading out.
Bex turned around to help finish the clean up and ran smack into Mouse.
“Things, uh, going well with that Beau guy?” he asked, shuffling his feet a bit with his hands shoved down in his pockets.
“With—oh, yeah! We’re going to record a song for his band so that’s pretty cool, right?” she grinned at him.
Mouse did a weird little smile grimace back at her. “I guess that’s a band guy’s idea of a date, eh?"
A date? Why did he think—oh, no. “No, no,” Bex tried not to flail too hard. “No, no, no, not a date date, just like a date to get together to record the song. Like time and place, not like a date. No dates with Beau. That is not a thing that is happening. No.”
Smooth, Bex.
“Not a date,” Mouse said, side of his mouth quirking up. “Got it.” He gathered up a few glasses. “Need some help with this?”
“Yeah, thanks,” she grinned at him, grabbing the remaining ones from the table. “Follow me.”

Shay
Gabi shook her head as they watched Mouse and Bex carry a pile of glasses into the kitchen. “Unbelievable.”
“It’s like, you think it’s going to happen and then they swerve right,” Shay said. “Every time.”
“We’ve gotta update the odds again.”
***
Bex
“And I owe it all to you-ou-ouuuuuu,” a slightly inebriated Will warbled away in her passenger seat as she drove them home after a very successful evening.
“Did you have a good time?” she asked him, trying not to laugh.
“It was a great time,” he said. “Thought I would hate it. Had a blast.”
“I was very impressed with your Spice Girls number,” Bex said and Will gasped.
“Right? That should have won us the title right then and there,” he shook his head. “The judges were crooked.”
“Oh, thanks, buddy,” she lost the battle against laughing as Will patted her arm.
“Not you, the other guy. Beau. He was favouring Jay’s team. Totally biased.”
“You’ll just have to demand a rematch,” she said as she pulled into her parking spot.
“I should,” he declared. He giggled as he hip-checked her on the way to the door. “Get the band back together. Think they have Spice Up Your Life on that machine?”
“I’m impressed you know this many Spice Girl songs,” Bex laughed, following him up the stairs. “Come on, snacks and water before bed.”
“Who’s the doctor here?” he grumbled, but he still kicked off his shoes and hung up his coat before heading to the kitchen.
He was already well on his way to sobering up, but she thought Tomorrow Will would appreciate having a little food and hydration.
Sitting at the kitchen table together, munching on toast and going over the highlights of the evening, Bex was struck by a wave of affection for her whole family. They were such an awesome group of people. It’d been amazing to have almost everyone there together. That never happened.
The sight of the whole gang dancing while she and Beau sang was one she’d never forget. All the different couples having a lovey-dovey moment while the singles bopped around with each other. Will and Connor having a great time dancing with Doris and Maggie.
They’d looked good together.
Will and Connor.
They definitely had chemistry. She’d noticed that for awhile now. But neither of them was making a move to take it anywhere. Actually, now that she thought about it, she hadn’t seen Will date anyone since he’d moved home. And definitely not since they’d moved in together.
Not that he had to. But maybe he wanted to? She was struck by a sudden, gut-sinking thought. Was he not comfortable seeing anyone while she was sharing his place? Maybe because she was his little sister? Or because they had that whole getting to know each other phase?
But they were so good now. It shouldn’t be weird.
But this was Will. Maybe he was still worried about it and didn’t want to say anything. Well, time for some of that communication they were always aiming for.
“Hey, Will,” she said and he looked up from his half-finished plate of toast.
“Yeah?”
“You know…if you ever want to have someone over, I can make myself scarce.”
Will choked on his bite and hastily grabbed his water to wash it down. “What? Where did this come from?”
“I just—since I moved in, I haven’t seen you go on a date or anything and not that you have to, I’m not—I’m just saying if you want to and you feel weird about me being here, I can go over to Kira and Malia’s for the night.”
“Uh…thank you?” His eyebrows did a complicated little dance as he stared at her. “I’m not seeing anyone though so it’s not really an issue.”
“But you could,” she stressed. “It’s no problem.”
“Thanks for the green light, I guess,” he laughed. “But I don’t even have time to meet people right now. Not sure who I’m supposed to be dating.”
“Anyone you want!”
“I’m good, Bex,” he said, taking his plate and dumping the crusts into the garbage before setting it in the sink. “No worries.”
He was still being weird though. She could see it in how he was holding himself. Tense, but trying so, so hard to look relaxed.
Maybe…it wasn’t so much about her being there as him worrying about what she might think about who he brought home.
Although she didn’t know how he could think that after meeting her friend group.
But still…he shied away from any gentle teasing about Connor she’d done. Downplayed things even though they definitely were dancing with straying outside of Just Friends territory. Was there a chance he thought she wouldn’t accept him being gay? Or at least not straight, if he didn’t want to label it?
“What about Connor,” Bex decided to throw it out there. “You two seem to get along really well. I’ve been sensing a little spark there.”
Will froze, suddenly looking ten times more awkward. “Connor? I don’t—why would you—”
“Might be worth a shot,” she said, aiming for encouraging.
“I’m not interested in Connor, Bex,” he said, face closing off as he headed out of the kitchen.
Could have fooled her. But okay, fine. “Maybe not Connor then,” she said, following him into the living room. “But I just hope you know that if there’s anyone that you’re interested in—”
“Why are you being so pushy about this?” Will snapped out. He scrubbed a hand through his hair and scowled. “Why is it suddenly so interesting to you if I’m seeing someone or—or—who—”
“I was just worried that you were holding yourself back for some reason—”
“I really don’t think you’re one to judge on that front, Bex,” he tossed back at her. She was going to ignore that because clearly she’d touched on a nerve and that was more important right now.
“I’m not trying to pick a fight here, Will,” she said gently. “I’m trying to be supportive.”
“There’s nothing to be supportive of,” he yelled and if this discussion had come up last year, she’d have thought he was mad. Would have yelled right back.
But she knew better now. Knew Will better.
Knew that the tense line of his shoulders and the slight shake of his hands wasn’t anger.
No, this was Will freaking out. This was Will scared.
He looked one breath away from a panic attack.
She didn’t reach out for his hand or take a step closer. She just kept her voice soft and even. “Okay,” she said. “Okay, Will.”
He sagged like she’d cut his strings and dragged a hand over his face. “I’m gonna go to bed.”
“You can tell me anything, you know,” she said to his back as he headed down the hall.
The only answer was his bedroom door closing softly.
***
Will
He leaned against his bedroom door and tried to take a breath, fighting through the steadily building panic in his chest. His heartbeat felt off kilter, drumming hard to the chant of Don’t Tell, Don’t Tell, Don’t Tell instead of its normal rhythm.
Will tried to do the exercises he could remember, breathing in and holding it before letting it out. He sank to the floor, not able to focus on standing and calming down at the same time.
This was ridiculous. He was thirty years old. He shouldn’t still—Bex was only trying to—
Of course, she wouldn’t—he knew she wouldn’t—
But that wasn’t the voice in his brain at the moment. All he could hear was his dad screaming at him for being disgusting. A disgrace. No son of mine…
He knew Bex meant well, but this wasn’t something he could just…talk about. Not without talking about all of it and he wasn’t ready to do that.
Not even twelve years later.
He didn’t need to talk about it. He’d kept it buried and kept going.
He was fine.
He was fine.
He was fine.

stocking stuffers day 1: massage + pet names
Fluff prompt: massage || Smut prompt: pet names
Pairing: Shayna x Dakota
Word count: 0.9k
Dakota doesn't miss the way that Shayna winces as she emerges from the bathroom after her shower. As hard as her girlfriend tries to hide it, her back has been hurting for days now. Dakota slides off the bed gently guiding Shayna to sit down. "I'll get clothes for you baby. You sit down and take it easy," she insists.
"I'm fine," Shayna starts to protest, but Dakota shakes her head.
"You're not fine. Now sit down and let me take care of you," Dakota says. She rummages around in the dresser drawers for a moment before pulling out a pair of underwear and a sports bra, which she hands to Shayna. "Now what clothes do you want to wear?" she asks.
"Just a pair of shorts please," Shayna says. "It's too hot for anything else."
"Okay," Dakota says, retrieving a pair of Shayna's shorts. Shayna puts the clothes on and Dakota sits down next to her. "What can I do to help you feel better?" she asks.
Shayna moves slightly, wincing again in pain. "I don't know," she says.
Dakota leans in and gives Shayna a gentle kiss. "Do you want me to give you a massage?" she asks.
Shayna smiles at her girlfriend. "Sure," she replies. "Thank you Kota."
Dakota gives Shayna another kiss, before guiding her to lay on the bed face down. "Let me know if anything doesn't feel good, okay baby?" Dakota asks, sitting down next to Shayna's head.
Shayna nods, feeling her cheeks flush a little. She's not used to being on the receiving end of nicknames.
Dakota begins to rub Shayna's shoulders, focusing on the space where her neck and shoulders meet. "Does this feel okay love?" Dakota asks.
"Yes," Shayna manages to say.
She's lying with her head turned to the side, allowing Dakota to see the pink flush filling her girlfriend's cheeks. "Everything alright there darling?" Dakota asks, gently running a finger down Shayna's spine, making her flinch.
"I'm fine," Shayna squeaks, her cheeks heating up.
Dakota smiles to herself. "Are you sure?" she asks, her voice innocent as she returns to massaging Shayna's shoulders. "Because you look a little flushed there sweetheart."
Shayna turns, burying her face in the comforter. "I'm fine," she forces herself to say, the warmth spreading to her ears.
Dakota giggles. "Shay, you know that hiding isn't going to do anything, right?" she asks. "I already know you're blushing."
"I do not blush!" Shayna protests, her voice muffled.
Pausing the massage, Dakota gently runs a finger over the shell of Shayna's right ear. The skin is flushed pink and warm to the touch. "Oh, I think we both know you are," Dakota teases. She returns to working on Shayna's shoulder blades, leaning down so her lips are right next to Shayna's ear. "You're not the only one who knows how to use pet names baby."
The blush spreads down Shayna's neck. "Mean!" Shayna whines, still burying her face in the bed.
"It's not mean if you like it," Dakota fires back. She continues to massage Shayna's back for a few more minutes. "Does that feel better now?" she asks.
"Yes," Shayna replies, continuing to hide her face.
Dakota giggles again at her girlfriend. "Baby, are you really going to keep hiding that adorable face of yours from me?" she asks. She leans down, kissing the side of Shayna's neck. "Hey, look at me baby," she says, her voice gentle. Shayna peeks up from the bed and Dakota lays down on her side so she can be at eye level with her girlfriend. "Do you not like it when I call you pet names?" she asks.
Shayna quickly shakes her head. "No, that's not it," she says. She looks down, unable to make eye contact with Dakota. "Promise you won't laugh at me?" she asks.
"Of course I promise," Dakota says.
Shayna takes a deep breath. "I guess I'm just finding out that pet names do the same thing to me as they do to you," she admits, her cheeks flushing.
Dakota's gentle smile turns into a grin. "Oh, so they leave you feeling warm here?" she asks, running a finger over the blush in Shayna's cheek. "Or is it that they make you feel warm down here?" She slides her hand between Shayna's legs, giving her pussy a quick squeeze through her shorts.
"Both," Shayna manages to say, the color in her cheeks deepening.
Dakota smiles. "Well I'd like to keep taking care of you love. Is that okay?" she asks.
Shayna looks up at Dakota and smiles. "It's more than okay," she says. Dakota immediately leans in and begins to kiss Shayna.
They kiss for a few minutes, long and passionate. When Dakota breaks away and begins to slide down between Shayna's legs, she pauses and looks up at her girlfriend, a mischievous glint in her eyes. "By the way," she begins. "You're cute when you blush baby."
"Oh you are in so much trouble after this," Shayna tries to say, but Dakota doesn't really take the threat seriously, not while Shayna's cheeks are still flushed pink. Shayna continues to go on about how she's going to get Dakota back when they're done here. But soon enough, her threats turn into screams of pleasure, as Dakota goes to work giving her girl everything she wants and then some.

Your words are life, pour, great, and old
From Saving Planet Zora:
Slide:
Jared goes for the door but pauses to give Bennett a concerned look. Bennett takes a deep breath then nods. Jared waves it open. Recording arrays are shoved into their faces as reporters and students talk over each other. Bennett slides behind Jared, letting him take the limelight and trying not to get overwhelmed.
Flicker:
With a little shuffling they end up with Jared carrying her piggy-back. Her forehead tips forwards and she closes her eyes, although it is evident she’s awake by the way her eyes flicker under her eyelids. After a few minutes, they transfer her to one of the luggage carriers and Bennett prepares for snide comments but none come.
Dance:
Auburn flying squirrels dance between soapberry trees. One springs off a trunk, unfurls the skin between its six legs, and harnesses air currents by using its flat tail like a rudder. A large nut is clasped between its long jaws. Another squirrel scampers after it, jumping nimbly from a fungal shelf and gliding using its patagium. They weave an intricate dance around a violet aspen trunk. The first reaches the hollow and the second is deterred by the furious squeaks and the scent marks that line the opening. It skirts past a snag of teal fur as it glides onward to find its own bounty.
Heavy:
It takes a moment of confusedly waving at the door reader to realize it is still locked from when he barricaded himself inside the previous evening. He unlocks it and stumbles into the hall, pivoting towards the closest bathroom.
“Bennett!” A shout comes from behind him, followed by heavy clomping footsteps.
He puts a hand against the wall to steady himself and tries to blink the sleep haze from his brain.
“Bennett, hey.” Shay catches up and puts a hand to his shoulder. “You’re still wearing yesterday’s clothes.”

Blueberry Pancakes
Tumblr media
Fandom: Chicago Fire Pairings: Matthew Casey/Kelly Severide, Jeff Clarke/Kelly Severide  Content Warnings: Major Character Death, Grief After the Death of a Spouse, Polyamory  Summary: 25+ years in the future, Kelly and Jeff go out for breakfast the morning Matt dies.
This is just a sad little blurb I wrote while I was in a sad little mood. Don’t read it unless you want to be sad too. I don’t consider this canon to my “Pants on Fire” AU – it’s just one of many possible futures for the characters. In fact, if it makes you feel better, I can guarantee this isn’t how things would “really” end up going in that AU.
I will in no way be offended if you decide this fic is too sad for you and keep on scrolling, though. 💔
💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
Two and a half hours after Matt Casey died, Jeff parked outside a diner a few blocks from the nursing home, glancing worriedly at his boyfriend. The windshield wipers stopped squeaking as he cut the motor, and for a moment, the only sounds were Kelly’s ragged breathing, the wind, and the rain.
“Kelly, are you sure?”
Nodding, Kelly unbuckled his seatbelt. “I’m hungry.”
Jeff wanted to point out that drive-thrus and delivery and the pancake mix they had at home were all options, but nothing in his boyfriend’s expression indicated willingness to listen to reason. His husband was dead, and he wanted blueberry pancakes. They were going to get blueberry pancakes.
Sighing, Jeff grabbed his wallet and followed his silver-haired boyfriend inside. Kelly didn’t wait, striding across the parking lot as though the diner was on fire. It had been seven years since Kelly responded to a fire, and a lot longer than that for Jeff – but he found himself wishing one would break out now.
Using his sleeve to wipe the water from his face, Jeff followed Kelly to a table at the very back of the diner, right next to the men’s bathroom. At least he seemed to have an exit strategy. He took the seat across from his boyfriend, who immediately grabbed a menu and held it up in front of his face, as if he actually needed to read it after eating breakfast at this diner three or four times each week for the past year.
“Two black coffees, please,” Jeff said with a smile to the young waitress, a high school student who probably had no idea what she was in for that morning. He would make sure they left her an extra nice tip.
“And orange juice,” Kelly added flatly from behind the menu.
“Are you ready to order your meals?” she asked sweetly.
Jeff glanced over at the menu obscuring his boyfriend. It didn’t answer, so he smiled at the waitress again, shaking his head. “I think we need a moment.”
Kelly was silent for a few seconds, then quietly asked, “Did you call Gabby?”
Jeff nodded, even though the menu didn’t have eyes to see the gesture. “Yeah. She and Shay will talk to Andy once she’s up.”
“And Ben…” Kelly added.
“Griffin will call Ben once the sun is up on the west coast,” Jeff assured him. All of these plans had been made months ago, but he understood Kelly’s need to hear them confirmed out loud right now. He lived for taking care of his family, especially since retiring from his job as a CFD battalion chief.
Of course, that included not just his own two children – or four, including Griffin and Ben – but all of the firefighters he’d served with and many of their kids as well. Even keeping the funeral private for just the people Matt considered family, the guest list was well above 50. As Kelly commented while they were planning the last-minute details with the funeral home, that was a lot of love for a man who’d been on his own at 18.
“So I just need to call Christie.”
“Yeah,” Jeff confirmed. He’d known Matt’s older sister for 25 years, but she still hadn’t warmed to his existence. He’d offered to call Matt’s niece Violet instead, but Kelly had decided he would deal with that side of the family himself.
“After breakfast,” Kelly said.
“Yeah,” Jeff nodded again. “After breakfast.”
A slightly wrinkled hand made its way around the side of the menu, fingers wiggling in invitation. Jeff took it, idly rubbing his thumb against the plain gunmetal wedding band that had decorated Kelly’s finger for most of the time Jeff had known him. Matt’s matching ring sat safely in a box on Kelly’s dresser, having become too large to stay put on his finger long ago.
“Okay,” Kelly said with more confidence, putting the menu down. His eyes and nose were red from crying, but nobody glancing at him in passing would guess that his husband just passed away. His smile was muted, but sincere, as he looked Jeff in the eye. “Food, then call, then cry, then sleep.”
Jeff smiled encouragingly back at him. “Almost. Coffee, then food, then call, then cry, then sleep.”
The waitress dropped off their beverages, and Kelly ordered his stack of blueberry pancakes. Jeff didn’t dare to order the chocolate chip – Matt’s favorite – so he had also had blueberry, hoping solidarity was the way to go.
A smile grew across Kelly’s face while he sipped his orange juice. At Jeff’s questioning look, his eyes crinkled with suppressed laughter as he shook his head.
“Just remembering something Matt and I talked about once. It’s private.”
Despite his relief at seeing Kelly so at peace in the moment, Jeff had to hide his own shaky smile behind his coffee mug. He knew that in a way, Matt’s death marked the end of seven years of anticipatory grief. Kelly’s soul seemed lighter walking out of the nursing home than when they walked in the night before. Jeff suspected that when the hospice nurse opened the window, many of Kelly’s fears flew away, too.
But Jeff knew a crash was coming, and he just hoped Kelly’s hit first. Preferably sometime after they ate their pancakes and made it back to the privacy of the car. He would rather not end the morning of his best friend’s death holding his weeping boyfriend in a public restroom, but he had two clean handkerchiefs in his pocket, just in case.
“Do you remember if Mateo was flying into Midway or O’Hare?” Kelly asked as the waitress placed their pancakes on the table.
“O’Hare,” Jeff answered, letting go of Kelly’s hand to reach for the maple syrup.
Although Mateo’s name often made people assume he was named after Matt, Kelly and Matt adopted him when he was eight. He was almost 30 now, and in the third year of his neurology residency in Baltimore. Andrea, meanwhile, was named after Andy Darden, and she was starting her sophomore year of college that fall.
A little more than halfway through his pancakes, Kelly’s fork began to shake in his hand. Jeff observed without comment, waiting for his boyfriend to need him to act.
“Do you want to go?” he asked when Kelly laid the fork on his plate. He was already standing as Kelly nodded, pulling a reasonable amount of cash from his wallet to leave on the table.
“Come here,” Jeff said gently, putting his arm around Kelly’s waist to guide him quickly towards the door.
“Sorry,” Kelly barely whispered.
“Don’t be,” Jeff murmured. “Did you get enough to eat?”
“Yeah,” Kelly croaked, walking out into the drizzling rain. “Might need to change the order of events for the rest of the morning, though.”
“Cry, then call, then sleep?” Jeff asked.
“Cry, then sleep, then call,” Kelly answered. “Just a little sleep. Like in the car on the way…” He paused, swallowing thickly. “On the way home.”
“How about you cry, then sleep, and I cry, then call Violet?” Jeff offered. “Or I can ask Gabby or Shay or Stella or Katie or Chloe or Cruz or Herrmann or Blake or Griffin or…”
He heard himself begin to babble, listing names of people who could call Christie for them. Beside him, Kelly laughed through his tears.
“Okay. I think Violet would be okay with hearing the news from you, if that’s okay. She’s always liked you.”
“Of course,” Jeff assured him. “I’m here for you, baby. Whatever you need.”
“I think I need a hug.”
Even though it was raining and they were in the middle of a parking lot, Jeff didn’t hesitate to pull his trembling boyfriend into his arms. Kelly slowly exhaled, pressing his tear-soaked face against Jeff’s rain-soaked neck.
“I love you.”
“I love you, too, sweetheart.”

[Sometimes, it takes many mistakes.
Sometimes, it’s just one.
Blood running down his back, pain echoing from his spine and back with his pulse. Wings that he didn’t have two days ago. Pain in his face that seems inconsequential now. Horns. New eyes. He can still remember the way he could feel the sound of the blade scraping against his bones, when she didn’t let him feel. He can feel the vibrations in his ribs. It’s not pain, itself- it’s just… sensation. The breeze that knocks the keystone free.
He can feel tears running down his face, warm like his blood. And he can hear his heart beating in his ears, like the end of a macabre song.]
