talaashe: For a moment in time, I got to play a superhero (the first Muslim-American live-action one at that!). So many time periods, costumes, stories and laughs. God so many laughs. This show changed my life and I will treasure the relationships I made for the rest of my life.
Gutted to not have a proper goodbye with the Legends family, but grateful for the time we had together. Good reminder that we’re not promised anything.
Forever grateful to Phil Klemmer & @marcguggenheim for hiring me, to @gberlanti and Mark Pedowitz for always supporting our unicorn of a show, our genius writers and THE FINEST CREW IN THE BIZ- to everyone who supported us, who “got” our show and our incredible fans- the best of the best. Be kind, love hard ✌🏽❤️🍩

i think season five of legends should have done a better job of trying to gaslight the viewers into thinking behrad has been there the whole time. like they did their best to make him seem like a legend for longer than five minutes n they were successful in that, however they should have gone the extra mile

born out of smoke and fire, notelaih’s real age is unknown to everyone, including himself, but he’s been roaming his homeland of cheridi for decades before coming to destarin. he identifies as agender and answers to any pronouns. notelaih’s goal in life is to live his best possible life, create adventure, and generate chaos, and to escape the fate of all djinn.
TW: Servitude mention.
The lands of Cheridi are fast, and ever changing; heat, rain, and floods move over the land throughout the year, but there are places that remain relatively the same. Notelaih was born in the deserts of fire, homeland to the Djinn of fire. Creatures created from tiny flames that appear once in a while among the sand and the rocks, the sun burning down on the planes with such intensity that most veer away from its grasp, knowing that without a clear direction, they will perish. At first he only existed as fire. He learned from the flames around him, from the spirits of Djinn long gone. It was how they were raised, by the ghosts of those who came before them, by those who had lived in the world already, who had life lessons to share.
It takes a village to raise a child, but in Djinn fashion: it takes a desert.
Notelaih’s body slowly formed from the sand and the sun and the fire, until he was whole and could stand on two legs. Before he left to roam the world like many of his kind before him, his peer gave him a final piece of advice: to know oneself is to know all.
As he roamed the world, he served many masters. When he was young he was a playmate to young children. When he grew older he became a servant and a friend. Like the Djinns before him, he served the rich, the well-off, the ones in charge. He found his way there by chance, luck always on his side, making his masters believe he was there to serve them. But he aged much slower than most, a year for a mortal took five for him, so once people started to notice, Notelaih left.
He found out quickly that the advice given by his peers was not that easy to follow; as he grew and as he connected to people around him, he changed. And every time he left a place he had to reinvent himself. Like fire he was made and unmade, he was extinguished and set ablaze. Yet he stayed true to himself, wherever he went he was making waves: every new place offered him new territory, and gave the opportunity for adventure and chaos. Two of his favourite things. He found that with time, while at a loss at times, he got to know parts of himself he never knew existed, he grew taller and bigger in terms of personality, and he was taught to care and extend.
However, he was still a Djinn. His kind were wanted for their abilities. They were still mortal, and he heard of many of his peers who had died in servitude, bound to a single master, forced to bring misfortune to others. They had not given him the knowledge to avoid such a fate, but he felt it creeping up on him as people began to realise who he was, what he was.
There was only one way to escape, to throw his life around, to give in to the worst of himself and step away from the path his peers had pressed upon him. He moved to Destarin, settled himself in the town, and he no longer hid away what he was. He embraced his need for adventure and his eagerness to uphold chaos, he accepted everything he’d learned about himself, and he gave in to his vices. But most importantly: he would never serve a single master again. He would lend favours, accept bribes, allow payment, but he made sure his terms were clear: he’d only perform a single act.
WHAT ARE YOU...?
species: fire djinn. weaknesses: mortal, long term servitude, confined spaces, ice / low temperatures, water / can’t swim or learn how to swim, lack of oxygen / heights. strengths: fire and smoke manipulation, the ability to cause misfortune (evil eye), the ability to hide in plain sight (though not for anyone with enhanced senses), the ability to travel through fires (as long as they’re big enough), slowed-aging (a Djinn ages five times slower than a mortal human). physical description: Very human like, his eyes can change colour, and he’s relatively tall, but otherwise it would be hard to tell he’s a Djinn. additional info: fire djinn are demons, they’re created from nature and to nature they must return. most djinn die at the hands of servitude, because as creatures of chaos they need freedom to regain their powers, the longer they are fixed in place, the weaker they get, until they are eventually extinguished. however, as they raise each other, they have created a vicious circle for all of them: where any new djinn will be told to go out in the world and serve, knowing they will all eventually perish and return to the deserts of fire, where all fire djinn are born and raised.
notelaih saldores is played by niek and their fc is shayan sobhian.

liviaswann: For my first TV job out of drama school, I don’t think I could have wished for a better one. The last three years on Legends have been an absolute playground for me - ruling hell, getting trapped on tv, dressing up like a cowboy, fighting aliens and robots and becoming an animated princess and that’s only, like, four episodes. It’s a show full of laughter, joy and heart, a show that champions misfits and celebrates found family, and working on it has been one of the best experiences of my life.
Speaking of family, I can honestly and happily say that I have found family in so many of the cast and crew. Truly beautiful souls, inside and out, who are genuinely funny, kind and look out for each other. It’s been an honour getting to share so many wonderful moments with them and I will cherish all the memories we’ve shared. I know I’ve made bonds for life and I couldn’t be more grateful.
⁣⁣And of course, Astra, the Queen of Hell who became a full blown witch. I grew with her, admired her and she taught me so much about strength, resilience and taking shit from no one. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣Thank you to everyone who watched and loved our zany little show, your unwavering support made our jobs even more joyful. ⁣⁣
⁣⁣Once a Legend, always a Legend.⁣⁣
⁣⁣Legends never die 💛⁣

Hey, Cap. Normally, I'd be all for rolling up my sleeves and pitching in, but I gotta take shore leave for my pop's birthday.

even if Legends Ended. The concept of bisexual people flying through time and space forever and ever. Works out. It never dies. They never stop fucking up. Also also. . Seeing the cultural bits with Zari and Behrad. Made me very happy. I think it's cool how the actors when they could put their own interpretations of characters.
YESSSSSSSSSS. it never dies!!!!!! it's so funny you send this now cause i was just listening to some interviews tala ashe and shayan sobhian did and it was so cool hearing them talk about how they loved working on the show and how fans would tell them how much those roles meant to them. i miss the show but im happy that we got to have it and im glad the actors had a good time
