I hope this letter finds you well. I know that lately your heart has been feeling unwell and I'm so sorry to hear this. If I could, I would kiss all these bad feelings away and hold you until all those negative thoughts leave your mind. I know at times you can't stop those overwhelmingly bad thoughts, but the thing is that's all they are - bad thoughts. They aren't real. The brain likes to think of the worst case scenarios, but often it's just fear and insecurities which are so far from the truth. I understand being fearful of losing those you care about, or worrying about being a "burden" or other negative thinking... but that is never the case.

Your friends love you and care for you so much. I love and care for you so much. I hope one day you can see yourself the way I do, and the way your friends do. They always seem so excited to interact with you and listen to your thoughts. I wish you could see that too. Until then, I promise to be by your side and I hope to comfort you to the best of my ability. I will always do my best to support you during the good times and bad. Personality & About

Eileen Barreau (アイリーン・バロー Airin Barō) is a primary ally featured in the third part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure series, Stardust Crusaders. She reappears in the fourth part, Diamond is Unbreakable, and the sixth part, Stone Ocean, as a secondary ally.

Eileen is a Japanese student who recently transferred to Jotaro and Kakyoin’s school after she was expelled from her previous high school. Eileen became involved with the Crusaders when she noticed Jotaro carrying Kakyoin's bloody unconscious body off of school grounds. Eileen followed Jotaro home while pestering him about Kakyoin's well-being. Upon learning of DIO, and later of Holly's illness, she insisted on helping the Crusaders. Eileen is a Stand User who commands The Hounds of Love.

Eileen is usually characterised by her persistent and bubbly attitude, but when she is pissed there is no way of missing it. Eileen refuses to give up on goals she has undertaken, no matter the difficulty. Although, under extreme pressure, she can be bullied into taking breaks to moderate herself. 

After being subservient for most of her childhood, Eileen is determined to understand the ‘why’ of things, even when asking is inconvenient or uncomfortable. Her sense of justice also drives her to be quick to act no matter the circumstances. 

Before her scarring, Eileen took great pride in her appearance, and even with her pride ruined she still spends a great amount of energy into what she wears and self-grooming. Eileen entered her ‘delinquent’ phase as a direct result of her facial scars, she felt if she could not visually fit in with the ‘good’ students it was better to conform to their expectations of a ‘scary’ looking teenager. She stopped attending most classes, she felt she had no future. This made her able to express herself in ways she didn’t out of fear of judgement. She is deeply hurt and lonely. If someone is willing to reach out to her, she will cherish them. Eileen is deeply sentimental.

but anyway, i know how you’re feeling and i’m sorry you feel like this ;; the thing that sucks about art is that it’s a journey; i forget the post exactly but your taste (what you WANT to draw) develops faster than your skills (what you CAN draw) , so it can be incredibly frustrating when you get stuck in a spot where you can visualize what you want to draw, but you can’t ‘translate’ it to the canvas. i’ve been there many times, and the best advice i have is to practice by tracing stock photos and those free to use art bases if there’s something in particular you’re struggling with. i’ve found that it’s really helped me when i felt stuck on something; the reason i can competently draw muscles is because i practiced tracing stock images of body builders to get used to the way the lines move and to gain that ‘muscle memory’ for drawing them. the jojo’s style is the same way i’ve found; it’s incredibly frustrating to copy, but tracing screencaps and settai sheets is the best way to get used to copying it.

i know it can be frustrating when you’re surrounded by other artists, but it will come to you!! it sounds cliche, but practice really is the most important thing ;w;

i’ve said it before but i love seeing how your art has progressed, and i’m excited to see where your skills will be in the future ♡ i’m always around if you ever need pointers on things too ;w;

I completely understand the psychology behind that feeling bc that's EXACTLY how it feels! 😭 I put off so many projects and ideas bc my skill level didn't catch up yet and that's what gets me down to not be able to do them immediately. It fr is a terrible feeling and I can imagine how much frustration you had to go through 🫂but thank you so much for the advice!!! Honestly I thought of tracing stock images before but I was afraid of committing theft??? IDK AKSJDB like esp with the free bases tho I did end up using them for some artowrks I'm doing now ! I'll do that again to better my understanding of some anatomy I even got a pdf of an anatomy study book for it kajbsd I did try making a jojo style Foca using that method it didn't turn out good but I'll try again ! ;w; I haven't used the settei sheets before tho I think I'll check out some of the female characters ones! I really hope so !!! it's the reason I keep practicing honestly plus it's not a bad thing like other artists like you and my peers inspire me a lot !!!! I guess it's sometimes discouraging bc my social anxiety keeps me from getting into like jojo oc communities like the one on IG even if I really badly wish some day Foca would be accepted into it 😔

2.) What Crusader are they closest to? Alternatively, do they have any ‘beef’ or rivalry with any of their fellow Crusaders? If so, how and when does it get resolved?

The Crusaders that Barbara ends up being closest with are Jotaro -- whom she's known since they were kids because of their parents being close -- and Kakyoin -- primarily due to being close in age. She and Kakyoin become partners-in-crime on some level. Even if their first true interaction with each other is Kakyoin pretending to not understand English to mess with her a little, and Barbara catching him off guard by being able to talk with him in Japanese. The only "beef" she truly has is with Jotaro. And that comes from not seeing or talking to each other in over two years due to outside issues. Barbara had family issues with her sister, and this stems from a headcanon, but Jotaro's delinquent phase started when he reached high school. They don't meet face-to-face again until Jotaro gets arrested. How much each has changed throws them around so much that they can't just jump back into how things used to be. Things smooth out slowly over the course of SDC, though.

6.) How did your OC join the Crusaders? Did they join during a specific arc or were they there from the beginning? What drives them to want to aid in defeating DIO?

Barbara was there from the beginning. Due to her ability to sense Stands and Stand Users, she was brought to Japan when Jotaro was arrested to make sure that it was his own Stand that was the "evil spirit" possessing him and not an Agent of Dio.

Barbara's drive to want to defeat DIO, though, has to due with something that happens shortly before SDC begins. Her mother was killed by DIO's agents for being a Hamon User, while her father -- a Stand User -- went missing and was presumed dead too. Barbara's mother was close to Holly to the point that they were like sisters. Barbara doesn't want anyone else to die. She doesn't want to lose yet another mother in her life, and she doesn't want Jotaro to go through the same thing that she is.

8.) Which canon death hit your OC the hardest? Does your OC survive the journey themselves?

I don't know if this is just a me thing or what, but if I can find ways for characters to survive, I'll take it. So in the timeline that Barbara exists in, the only canon death I have yet to avoid is Iggy's. She was close with that little dog, so the fact that he dies protecting the rest involved in the fight hits pretty hard. If the canon deaths did remain in her universe, it's actually Avdol's death that would hit her the hardest. When everyone gets separated, she's with Avdol, Iggy and Polnareff for the Vanilla Ice fight. It would tear her apart that Pentacle Queen wasn't able to catch Vanilla Ice in time to save Avdol.

She does survive to the end of Part 3. When the dust settles in Cairo, she comes out of it with a pair of scars across her neck and a shit ton of blood loss from DIO taking a sip.

re: your inthetags reblog tho, i’m not an expert so i can’t really say much for other countries but if you have any specific questions about 80’s egypt i can try to answer the best i can since i’ve researched it so much ;w;

as for dress codes i know it’d vary by country, but i’m assuming a lot of them would just have a ‘dress code’ around modesty (i.e. no exposed midriffs, short shorts, exposed shoulders, etc.) that would most likely require at least a head covering of some kind the further into the middle east you get, especially saudi arabia and afghanistan — i can’t find specifics for the 80’s beyond head coverings in saudi arabia (hijab, shayla, etc.) so i can’t say for sure… also trying to remember what countries the crusaders had to go thru but i’m drawing a blank rn OTL

however i can say for sure thanks to (too much) research that egypt was very lax on head coverings and it was more likely than not to see young women with their hair down and styled vs hidden. not sure about a dress code back then but i’d imagine it’s similar to today’s; capri length pants at minimum, no exposed shoulders (especially not in mosques/temples), etc. cairo at least is a very tourist-y city so i can’t see any legal trouble happening, at worst just dirty looks and ‘tsk tsk’–ing from the locals.

I was aware that the dress code would pretty much be a "don't show to much skin but tourists might get a pass sometimes". But I'm still a bit afraid and confused as to where and when.

I mean- afaik even Polnareff's clothes would be hella inappropriate in some places at that time!

I want to keep an accuracy when writing since I know it's part of a culture and I don't want to just ignore the social aspects of the countries (I know it's Jojos and the weird fashion kinda throws this out the window, but still). But I don't want to seem ignorant or put it in a way that might be upsetting for someone.

Meet Cutes: 44.getting summoned to the principal’s office for different things and both waiting for their verdict

Terry got his gameboy confiscated… Again. This seemed to be a weekly occurrence at this point. That was still less than before; before it felt as though he was getting sent to the principal’s office almost every other day. He figured once or twice a week was at least an improvement, but it seemed that the principal had enough with him. 

“Take a seat until I figure out what to do with you.” The principal scolded him, watching Terry carefully with narrowed eyes as they headed back to their office. 

“Tch.” Terry took a seat and crossed his arms to his chest. He noticed today he wasn’t alone though, he noticed someone else had been sitting waiting to see what their fate from the principal would be too. He sat in silence though, unsure if he should start a conversation with you, but you were the one who spoke up first.

“What happened to you?” You asked, glancing over in his direction to get a better look at the guy next to you. He didn’t look like the “bad boy” type, but then again sometimes teacher’s could get a student in trouble for almost anything these days.

“I was playing my Gameboy in class.” Terry shook his head, he found his offense to be quite the minimal one. It wasn’t his problem that the teacher made math class so boring. 

“That’s all?” You seemed to smirk a little bit, as if almost daring him to ask what you were here for. 

“That’s all?” Terry repeated with an eyebrow raised. “What are you here for?”

“Snuck a cigarette in the bathroom. Normally I don’t get caught, but one of the teachers decided to use the student’s restroom so they busted me.” You shrugged.

“Whoa, you were smoking in the bathroom? That’s a cool reason to get busted actually…” Terry seemed amazed, he didn’t think you seemed like the type to do something so “bad”. 

“It’s not a big deal,” You laughed, it was kind of cute how he seemed to be so surprised about that. “A lot of other students smoke in the bathroom too.”

“Really?!” 

“Yeah. And behind the school, or even in the gym. You kind of figure out when and where to do these things.” You smiled a little. It was kind of cute how surprised he seemed to be. 

“That’s so much cooler than getting caught playing video games in class.” Terry seemed to laugh a little to himself, but it also made him think that surely the punishment for smoking would be much worse than just playing a gameboy. 

“It’s annoying, it’s not really cool. It’d be cooler if I didn’t get caught.” you shook your head.

“OK, good point. I wish neither of us got caught. It’s so lame.” Terry sighed, “What do you think will happen?”

“Detention, or suspension. I think detention sucks more, at least with suspension you can stay home.” 

“Oh man, I hope I get suspended. That way I can just play games at home…” 

“You really like games huh?” You chuckled, “What’s your name?”

“It’s Terry. Yours?”

“[Y/N]” 

“Nice to meet you.” 

“Yeah, same.” 

Soon enough the principal came back calling you in one at a time - you were called in first. You were expecting to be suspended, but the principal saw how you smiled when they were going to bring up suspension and changed it to detention instead. Terry got the same verdict as you since it seemed like suspension would be something the both of you would have preferred. Well, at least the two of you would have detention together… It seems the two of you would be spending a lot more time together.
