Anything For You
Author's Thoughts: Ahhh reader is so soft for Villain Izuku 🥺
Warning: Unfair Treatment, Overworking, Etc.
Tumblr media
Was it worth it?
That's what you asked yourself. And you almost immediately came to the same conclusion.
Yes, yes it was.
If only you were getting paid for the overtime they made you do, maybe you wouldn't be so upset. Now that a new line of Sir Night Eye merchandise dropped, it would be put to good excuse.
Izuku had always done everything to make you happy. So of course, you wanted to buy it for him since you knew how much he wanted the limited edition poster.
The thing was, you weren't getting paid for your overtime. You even worked through all your breaks, only able to use the bathroom in secret on your patrols. If anything, you were getting underpaid under these conditions.
As usual, one complaint earned her a threat, you boss and the commission threatening to fire you. And you knew they would, especially with your popularity growing with every life you saved. They wanted you out of the way and you knew that, so playing it safe and staying quiet was the only option.
There was only one other thing you could do.
You began selling off your things. Whether it was selling hero merch signed by your favorites or selling old mementos from trips with friends and family, you did it.
Because Izuku would do it for you in a heartbeat.
But you knew that if Izuku found out, he'd try stopping you. He'd say it wasn't important that he get the poster. He'd say he didn't want it that badly anyway. And you knew he'd be lying.
So you kept it a secret.
But you can't keep much from Izuku. He just knows you too well. He knows when you're hiding something. And when he knows that, he intends to find out what it is. You could be getting mistreated again, or worse!
So he follows you around. And it's then that he realizes two things.
Number one, you are getting mistreated again.
And number two, you're pawing off things very important to you, he just doesn't know why.
But he'd find out considering he had enough evidence to confront you on your secret.
So he decided to ask over dinner.
You came home to a set dinner table with your favorite meal sat atop two plates. Izuku helped you to remove your hero costume and kept the food warm while you showered.
You made sure to thank him of course.
"Izuku, this is so sweet. You didn't have to do all this." You smiled as he pulled out your chair.
He pushed it back in as you sat, leaning down and pecking your cheek. "I wanted to, rosebud. You deserve it."
You really had the sweetest boyfriend. The sweetest villain boyfriend. Ironic, isn't it?
Sitting across from you, he asked how your day was. You answered, dancing around the worst parts of your day. Not knowing Izuku already knew.
Izuku gave a hum. "Mm. You forgot about the part where you took no breaks and peed at the end of your patrol in a building bathroom far away from your agency."
You nearly coughed out your food, quickly clamping a hand over your mouth. Once the food was swallowed, you removed the hand. "Izu! Were you following me again?"
He sighed, playing with his food with a small irritated pout. "You don't tell me anything, how else am I supposed to know these things?"
Watching him for a moment, you sighed. This was Izuku you were talking to. You figured he'd follow you every day if he had the motivation and the time.
"Well yeah, but it's okay. I'm looking on the bright side."
"I'm glad. So why are you selling your things?"
You opened your mouth, but nothing came out for a couple of seconds. Izuku waited patiently, watching you while taking a bite of his food.
"I.. I wanted to.. Get you that.." You trailed off. It seemed like you didn't need to finish anyway, because a look of realization fell upon his face.
"Awe.. Rosebud.." He cooed, reaching over and gently taking your hand. You really were to sweet for this world in his eyes. "I don't need that poster that much. You don't have to sell your things."
Huffing, you gently squeezed his hand. "I knew you'd say that. I'm not letting you stop me this time though."
He chuckled and gave a hesitant nod. "Okay then."
"Really?"
"Mhm. If that's what you want."
Nothing was stopping him from stealing everything back anyway.
Don't be surprised when there's a threat on your agency that forces everyone on a mandatory paid leave.

Freezerburn Week 2020
Day Five - Video Games
Weiss didn't know what she was reading anymore. It began with the founding of Vacuo, then it all just came crashing down in her mind. She'd been reading one word over and over again, yet she somehow didn't comprehend anything. What jumble of letters was this, even?
'Though,' she read. She repeated it out loud, but she couldn't move past it.
Though.
What did this even mean? Was this a word anymore? People still use this?
She dug her fingernail into her fingertip; one of her little tics. Not being able to focus distracted her even more. And it was all because of these cursed, godforsaken noises.
"K.O!"
"Yes! Whoo!"
Weiss smacked her head against the wall, a growl growing in her throat.
"Yang. Xiao. Long."
Though it was slightly under her breath, Yang heard it. Now that the game was over, at least. Peppy, electronic music filled the air as the game switched back to the 'Choose your Character' screen. She turned over to her teammate, eyebrows raised.
"Yeah?"
Weiss stiffly turned around in her chair, jabbing her finger at the screen.
"Could you please stop playing that.. Thing?"
Yang gave her a questioning look.
"But why?"
"Because I'm trying to study."
"Can't you just.. Go to the library?"
"The library isn't a suitable focus space for me."
"And here is?"
"Precisely. My silent dorm room is."
"Our dorm," Yang corrected. "Just because Ruby isn't here, doesn't make you the leader, you know."
Weiss huffed indignantly, crossing her arms.
"What's that supposed to mean? I honestly don't see how that game of yours is in any way more important studies!"
This piqued Yang's interest. She cocked up an eyebrow, leaning back against the foot of her bed.
"I can.. Show you."
"What."
Yang moved herself to the side, grabbing another controller from under her bed.
"Come play with me."
Weiss glanced between Yang and the screen skeptically.
"Come on, Ice Queen," Yang grinned, trying to prompt her by using the dreaded nickname.
"Excuse me?"
"Pleeeease? If you don't play, I'm turning up the sound effects."
Weiss rolled her eyes, sighing. She pushed her back against the wall and went to sit in front of the TV.
Yang instructed her through the prepping phase, like choosing a character, buttons, and basic playthrough. And Weiss had to admit, maybe it was just the hyped tone of Yang's voice, but she was enjoying herself. Even if she did keep losing to Yang.
While Weiss remained focused on the game, Yang couldn't help but sneak glances at her.
Since they became teammates, Yang had always loved noticing little things about Weiss. Especially her habitual pouting. It came out a lot when she studied. Thus, you could say she was in concentration mode. And now it popped up here as they played together.
It was stupid, but Yang took pride in the fact that Weiss considered her game something worth focusing on.
She noticed Weiss's pale eyebrows knit together, and her glare stuck to the screen. The game reflected in her eyes; big and round like icy mirrors. Yang didn't really think about just how blue they were.
Well, until now that is.
"K.O!"
Yang dropped her controller, her eyes growing wide.
"What?"
Weiss jumped to her feet, waving her controller in the air. Her other hand pointed at Yang.
But Yang couldn't focus on her defeat though. She kept looking at her eyes. And she couldn't help but smile.
"Take that, Xiao Long!" Weiss exclaimed. "After 52 defeats, I've finally come out victorious!"
Yang rolled her eyes, grinning.
"Well.."
"Yang, I don't like that look in your eye—"
"I guess you could say video games are pretty.. Weiss, after all?"
