So some part of the fanbase actually think that Karin and sasuke had a sexual relationship
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Those are Karin arms what are these people on
Tumblr media
Sasuke has never and will never touch Karin Iin that way
Tumblr media
So sasuke who's uncomfortable with Karin touching him sasuke whos awkward with romance even with own wife and they think sasuke and Karin where in that kind of relationship
Lol, it's so stupid, the ridiculous lengths these people will try to go to, honestly. They start by saying how they know for a "fact" that Sasuke and Karin had sex, yet they didn't say anything which actually proved that absurd claim. They instead gave vague statements by Suigetsu which don't prove anything, said shit about third and fourth wheels, and Karin's bite marks, which for some reason they believe were all from Sasuke, which again they have no proof of, and which wouldn't even make any sense when considering her healing abilities were being utilised long before she ever partnered with Sasuke. Sasuke only started using her Heal Bite once Taka was formed, because he would have never had to use it prior to that point. He healed on his own after his fight with Deidara, and was never shown or implied to have been gravely injured during his training with Orochimaru.
Regarding their stupid "her whole breasts are covered with the marks he's given her!" comment (despite the fact that as previously highlighted, they were not given to her by Sasuke), they're likely referring to the below, which doesn't even show her breasts anyway:
Tumblr media
Then they try to downplay the fact that Sasuke always pushed her away from him, because they know it mattered. Why would he have inexplicably engaged in sexual activity with Karin, if he now became very uncomfortable whenever she got too physically close?
Tumblr media
It's just as you said, do they really think that someone who made this face when Karin got too close for comfort:
Tumblr media
Would have had no problems having sex with her in the past? And for what? Why would he have wanted to have sex when he had tunnel vision for training to get strong enough to kill Itachi? These people always try to make it seem as though Sasuke was either gay for Naruto, or he had absolutely no interest in girls. Yet when there is an opportunity to downplay SS, all that goes out of the window and he had wanted to engage in sexual activities with Karin huh?
And as if all of that wasn't enough, do these people honestly think that Kishi would have written for underage people to have sex? We're talking about the period between Parts 1 and 2 here, meaning that Sasuke and Karin were between 13-15 years old. So are these people really that desperate to "prove" that those two had sex, even if it meant advocating for sex between minors? Fucking unbelievable.

I totally agree with what you said about her hypersexuality doubling as a bid for power and status in Ohtori-- it's intrinsically linked to the gendered ideals she performs for Miki and herself. The twins occupy this nebulous gray area in the narrative and it really does make their story super easy to overlook; there's a mediocre flavor of irony in that, about how a commentary on the anxiety of transitioning socially, emotionally, and physically into adulthood, and how that affects your sense of identity and your worldview, is the most under-examined of all the meta (Tsuwabuki would fall under this too, and he is also sidelined frequently by Tumblr RGU fandom). This is actually one of my sole critiques of Utena, because I feel like these characters wouldn't have been so easy to sideline if only themes of parental influence and the nuclear family model were more present in the story as a tangible concept. This has nothing to do with the execution of the existing commentary, I just think it could have been more prominent in the writing since growing up is a huge motif for the whole of the series. It feels strange that the characters carrying the monopoly on the Horrors of Growing Up In A Heterosexist Patriarchal Society narrative aren't afforded as much time as the characters who hold a monopoly on ideas of equivalent importance in the story.
I suspect they'd be sidelined a bit by the tumblr fandom regardless of how well their stories were handled. this isn't necessarily a knock against rgu fans - it's just that most of the fanbase is gay and is way more interested in the characters who are textually or subtextually gay. I also suspect that the miki-kozue plotline makes a lot of people uncomfortable because there's no clear perpetrator of incest, and the tsuwabuki plotline is also uncomfortable because he is a child trying to act out his extremely immature perceptions of sexuality onto a much older girl. of course, both of these plotlines don't have a clear aggressor or victim BECAUSE they're about the way society has screwed up these kids' perception of adulthood and sexuality, but I understand why that would be really uncomfortable for a lot of fans.
regardless of all that, I agree that it could have been better handled. something I've wished before is that kozue could have been a main duelist rather than miki. I know why she's not, and it makes more sense to have miki be in that position, but she kind of demands attention in a way that miki doesn't. if miki was given more screentime, I'm not completely sure it would be used to say things that the show hasn't already said elsewhere. maybe more about the nuclear family, like you said, but once again I honestly feel kozue would be a better focal point for that sort of commentary lol

Imagine a krakoan podcast
~ Exodus and Apocalypse are on (for some reason) and they barely say anything the entire time. It's a short episode.
~ The X-terminators are on. Allison tries to take it seriously. Laura is only halfway interested and would honestly rather be doing something else. Tabby and Jubilee keep fooling around with each other and won't stop interrupting. At some point, they kiss "for the fans". Tabby blows her own mic up and part of the table. Luckily, it's krakoa so it grows back. By the end of the episode, half the room is charred and smoking. It's a fan favorite episode.
~ Shaw is on one episode. He spends nearly the entire time sipping brandy and talking business (some of it unethical). Unusually well received episode.
~ Generation X (90's) reunites for an episode. Monet acts like she doesn't want to be there. She's lying and Paige can tell. Angelo and Everett are carrying the conversation. Jubilee won't stop talking. Jono sits watching it all. It's a nice little high school reunion.
~ The O5 comes together. Unfortunately, Hank couldn't be there. They reminisce about their teenage shenanigans. They wonder what things would have been like were they not brought together. They express grief over the challenges they've faced and the trauma of being a mutant, but also celebrate all the good that came from it as well. They make plans to hang out some time. Kinda somber but overall good vibes on this one.
~ Deadpool is on. How did he get here? No one knows. He's already here though, so let's hear what he has to say. He rambles, bouncing from topic to topic with seemingly no end in sight. Occasionally, he'll drop an almost conspiracy theory level fun fact in the conversation. "Hey, did you know that weapon x is one of a handful of top-secret super soldier programs started by the US? And that a bunch of superheroes are superheroes because of it? And that they're still doing experiments like the one that made me like this?" He removes his mask. "It's like one big freaky web of lies!" How does he know that? No one knows. No one's inclined to believe him anyway. In fact, all anyone DOES know is that this episode will probably be thrown out.
~ Selene is on the show. She claims to want to build a fanbase. She probably just wants people to eat. She spends the whole episode explaining the occult and trying to recruit people. She isn't allowed back but the episode is highly rated amongst the audience (particularly female viewers).
~ The New Mutants are on. Everyone shows up, save for Amara. Doug was there but had to leave for council duties. Illyana won't take her feet off the table. She also has a half-finished jar of what is probably coffee. Dani warns her to slow down on that stuff, but Illyana shrugs her off. They look back on their days of fighting demons occasionally and watching TV shows together. They joke on Magneto's sleeveless purple onesie from when he was their headmaster. Rahne says she kinda liked it. None of them believe her and they all laugh. Berto keeps getting in the camera to check himself out. Dani yells at him to sit down. When he finally decides to sit, he jumps in Sam's lap. Sam, of course, plays along and clutches Berto tighter while he dramatically throws his arms round Sam's neck. The ladies find their silliness hysterical. Highly rated episode and people want them back.
~ It's X-Factor this time around. Lorna, Terry, Jamie, and Guido show up. Lorna and Terry are actually trying to engage and have conversation. Guido keeps turning everything into a joke. Either that or telling a story about "this one time". Jamie is irritated he keeps doing it. Despite that, Lorna and Terry try to stay on topic. At some point, Guido asks Jamie if he would ever fuck one of his dupes. Jamie declines (though he's had this thought before) saying that he's not gay so he wouldn't. Guido counters asking if sex with yourself is gay sex or just masturbation. This debate continues for at least 30 mins. In the end it's revealed that Jamie (prime) was never there, just one of his dupes. To everyone's surprise, the people want Guido back for another one.

My top 5 bird-themed movies because why not
Okay, you guys I'm very excited about Illumination's new movie "Migration for a ton of reasons, but the main reason is that I love ducks. I'm personally, as a Chicken Run fan, NOT excited about Chicken Run 2 because I feel like they're going the wrong direction with it. Getting a new director, firing most of the old voices actors, and then Netflix taking over the ownership? No thanks! I'll still give it a try though. Here are my top 5 favorite bird themed movies, and why
(Chicken Run, 2000) I love this movie mainly because of the message and the fact that it tackled some heavy subjects in a family friendly way. The humor is really well done, like most DreamWorks movies, and the voice acting is amazing! I don't recommend it for children as much, but I'd say the age rating to start watching, is maybe 10-12 or older? It's a bit dark but it's still a beautiful movie and there's a character that almost everyone can relate to!
(Storks, 2016) Okay, this one is more for children and family, but has a few subtle jokes that mostly adults will understand,. I personally think it still has an amazing message about the lives of people come before objects and also that family isn't always birth given, adopting kids they're still family. And of course, the characters are very fun and adorable. Compared to most teen-young adult girls in animated movies, I really love Tulip's design. They don't make her too "sexy" but still make her look cute, she dresses plain, and she's a total goofball. I personally love seeing more female characters like that.
(Rio, 2011) You guys know this one's a cult classic! My mom and I loved this one a lot and were sad when Disney shut down BlueSky Studios. The movie is still incredibly underrated, although it has a strong fanbase of 2000s-early2010's kids! The music in the movie is incredible, the visuals and scenery is gorgeous, and it actually makes you want to travel to Rio! I feel like they tried to show the culture in the best way they could, even though I'm not an expert, they did it in sort of a subtle way, but still enough that it makes you admire it!
(Duck Duck Goose, 2018) This is an adorable and underrated movie for the family, even though the villain may be a bit scary at times! I love how it focuses mostly on the animals, I love when movies focus mostly on the animals to the point that you forget the humans are there, but they still do show humans sometimes. The humans don't have like, speaking lines or anything. Also, the characters are adorable! Peng's character really reminds me of Rocky from Chicken Run, but a little more childish and care free. A better comparison to Peng would be Otis from Barnyard, at first he acts like he wants to party all the time, but then learns to become a man by the end of the movie. The ducklings, Chi and Chao, are so adorable! Chi's a very loving and helpful big sister, and she's voiced by Zendaya! Also, Stephen Fry voices one of the crane brothers (or maybe they're gay cranes? I have no idea...). The voice acting and characters are so amazing in this movie, and the scenery is also so gorgeous! The humor is also on point, and you'll love the little squirrel character! I also think this movie is good for maybe 6 and up, depending on how used to movies the kid is. My 6 year old self didn't have that kind of attention span yet but some kids are different. Anyway, I just consider it a good movie for the whole family!
(Ploey you Never Fly Alone, 2018) Okay, this one can be a bit sad but also has a pretty good story. I'm personally not too comfortable with kids having love interests in movies/shows, like kids that are younger than teenage. Because they're birds and have no confirmed age, you can feel however you want about the Ploey and Ploveria relationship. I'm only uncomfortable about it because they both sound young and it wasn't much time after Ploey hatched from an egg when they met, but again, they're birds. It's still a beautiful movie with fun characters and really talented voice acting! I put it at the bottom of the list because it's not one of my first choices, but I haven't seen it in a while. You may have different feelings about it. I think i recommend this movie more for 10 and up, it does have some emotional moments though. It's not really funny or anything either, so I don't recommend it for parties or family movie nights. If you love bird themed movies and have a friend who does, it's something nice that you can watch together when you're not busy.
I hope you like the movies I recommended, and let me know what you think in the comments! I love to chat!

Wednesday: What I'd like to see in S2 and the inevitable Wenclair disappointment.
With the announcement that Wednesday has been renewed, I thought about what I'd like to see in season two.
Prior to season two, get Jenna Ortega into the writers room. From everything I've seen and read, Jenna understands Wednesday much more than the writers do. She needs to be in the room so stupid situations like the love triangle, or Wednesday gushing over a dress will never happen again.
During season two, both Enid and Wednesday should come out. We all know Netflix loves to cancel shows that have sapphic girls as the main characters. However, if there's one show that can subvert the trend, it's this one. This show is insanely popular. Maybe it would lose some viewers if they came out, but surely not enough to have much of an impact. I'd also like to believe the majority of people would be fine with it. (Or maybe I give humanity to much credit).
In fact, given the times we live in, having Wednesday and Enid come out would be such a positive message for gay people, and may, in some small way, help other people become more tolerant. The whole point of the show is about being an outcast and how that's not a bad thing, so actually reflect this by making Wednesday and Enid gay, because we are actually treated like outcasts. Just imagine, for one second, a struggling queer kid finding the confidence to be themselves, because the iconic Wednesday Addams is gay.
Now, if the show runners, writers and executives absolutely refuse to have a queer Wednesday and/or Enid, at least have some significant queer representation. I'm sorry, but having minor characters be your only rep doesn't cut it nowadays. We deserve characters that actually matter. Eugene's moms being in two scenes isn't enough.
No romance for Wednesday, at least for season two. I think we should have a season where it's not on Wednesday's radar. Lets have one teenage character that isn't interested in romance, or being pursed by a love interest. I think that for season two, the focus should be on Wednesday's growing friendships with Bianca, Xavier, Ajax, Yoko and Divina. I would also love to see Eugene become even more of a surrogate Pugsley.
However, season two also needs to start pushing forward the romance that makes the most sense, Wenclair. I don't actually want, or expect, romantic Wenclair in season two, but season one established that these two girls are very important to each other, much more important than their male love interests (whether the writers intended it or not). So, season two should be about them growing closer. Have them spend more time together, have the bond they established in season one grow deeper. Have Wednesday become increasing more comfortable around Enid (which still maintaining her Wednesdayness). Have them end season two closer than ever. Then season three can be about them realising their feelings are changing and we can have fun, messy situations/interactions where they're both dealing with their newfound crushes.
Give Tyler and Xavier some much needed character development. Tyler got a tiny bit at the end of season one. However, for most of the season, 90% of their personality revolved around Wednesday. The other 10% was daddy issues. These are not interesting characters and given how prominent they are, they should not be this one dimensional. Have them interact with characters other than Wednesday. Give them some motivation that isn't wanting to date Wednesday Addams. Do something, anything, with them. Give poor Hunter and Percy something to do.
While proofreading this, I've been hit with the certainty that this is going to be one of those situations where two girls would be absolutely perfect for each other, but the writers decide they're just going to be friends. They could have all the chemistry in the world, all this unbridled electricity, obvious sapphic undertones to their relationship, have 90% of the fanbase (and the stars of the show) desperately wanting it, but it's all ignored because the writers have their own story and aren't good enough at their jobs to adapt, change and write the better, more obvious, clearly superior story.
It's especially crazy to me considering these aren't real people. Yes, Wednesday is an established character, but I'm pretty sure she's been too young in previous iterations to have a clearly defined sexuality. So, the writers could make them whatever they wanted. Wednesday is psychic now, Enid is a werewolf! But the two of them being gay is somehow a step too far.
This has the potential to be the best, most popular, sapphic ship I've ever seen. With a show this big, this kind of representation could literally be life changing for people. But I'm now starting to feel that this will be the biggest disappointment and missed opportunity. I really, really hope I'm wrong.

Okay, here is an explanation of Kota's hyperfixations that nobody asked for! So, essentially, the characters I connect with are technically from media, but I spin them into my own thing. Essentially, what I do is write them as if everything that happened in canon did actually happen, but there's a whole 'nother more interesting plot line going on behind the scenes. I pretty much always give them abusive parents, S/A trauma, and a dead loved one (usually a sibling for some reason). This is projection (except for the sibling thing. I'm an only child, why do I do that?). I adopt these characters as my own. I build them lore, redesign them to fit my perception, and even commission art of them. I had Charm uploaded to Toyhouse for a while because I knew nobody had read Story Thieves, so I could get away with it.
Obviously, anybody who knows me knows that I adore Peter. He's definitely the character with the most lore out of any of them. He's probably my favorite character from anything ever, but my other babies aren't actually too far behind him, despite what you may think. Let's make a list, shall we?
THE HIGH COUNCIL
These are the ones where I could probably be clinically diagnosed as obsessive for. I adore them more than words can express.
-Peter (Divergent):
The ultimate baby. Come on, you know I adore this little gremlin. I write about him constantly, and he has too many AUs for me to keep track of. If I were to switch up some of the other Divergent character's names, I could genuinely pass him off as my OC at this point. I adopted him as a hyperfixation in 6th grade (When I was 10), so he's been my ultimate baby boy for five years. (I read Divergent before that point, but I didn't think much of him then.)
-Charm (Story Thieves):
My first fictional crush and gay awakening. I don't know why I love her so much. Maybe because she was the first deeply tragic character that I ever got to read about. Maybe because her beating up people just made me giggle. Maybe because she's just kind of hot. Either way, I took on Charm as a hyperfixation very early on in life. I remember being in third grade and seeing somebody with a Story Thieves book and thinking "Oh, I read those books a while ago! I like Charm!" so it was a few years before I was eight. Five or six, maybe? Either way, she was my first obsession, and I love her dearly.
-Courtney (Total Drama):
Ah, Courtney. The subject of almost as much of my fanfiction as Peter. She's a complicated one to talk about for me. I remember I first watched Total Drama three or four years ago, but I wasn't obsessed with Courtney then. I remember that she was my favorite character, but that's about as far as my affections went. That changed when I started getting involved in the Total Drama fandom space. I'm struggling to define exactly what changed about her for me. I liked the good Catholic girl persona the fanbase gave her, the numerous daddy issues, and her chemistry with Duncan. It was all just fun. I ended up getting a burning desire to rewatch the show, so I did. It was only about six months ago that I really took her on as a hyperfixation, but my traumadumping on her pushed her to the top.
THE TOP BLORBOS
Little guys who I love, but don't think about constantly. I'll draw them every so often and give them a bit of lore, but mostly they're just little guys that I like a lot.
-Shawn (Total Drama):
I have no explanation for this one. I think watching so much Total Drama just got to my head, and I latched onto a random character. Either way, there's no excuse for the three times I've fully rendered this man and the math book that is filled with sketches of him. I mean filled in the truest sense possible. I drew him in so many places that I ran out of space to fit even the smallest Shawn.
-Clove + Cato (Hunger Games):
Again, I don't have much of an explanation for this one. I just think that they're a lot of fun. I love the idea of them falling in love either before the games or during them, and it's such a tragic love story. I want to write an AU where one (or both) of them wins the games.
-Cassidy (And maybe Dick) (Veronica Mars):
I just love a tragic villain, and Cassidy fits that role to a T for me. I love him dearly, and think that there would have been so much potential had he stayed alive. Dick's reaction to his death is heartbreaking and added a new dimension to this, frankly, 0-dimensional character.
-???:
Who is it? What is it? I don't know. I can't put it into words. The things that bring forth this feeling, though, are Dream SMP, that biblically accurate angel god from Cult of the Lamb, and a few of my friend's OCs. I've tried to create and find characters that fit this strange feeling, but I can't. It's always out of reach, but I'm still fond of it despite "it" not being anything.
THE ANCIENTS:
These are my children, who I've lost interest in but obsessed over for years. I still think about them and am still fond of them, but they aren't obsessions or anything close to that anymore.
-Cat (OC)
Perhaps the only OC on this list. Cat was my main OC and all that I thought about for several years, but I just fell out of love with them eventually. Now they bring up some bad memories for me, and I'm happy to leave them in storage.
-Susie (Deltarune): I like women who can beat me up! This one lasted around a year. She was my homescreen on my phone and computer for a while, and I got my cousins to fall in love with her too. She's just a fun character. I don't think about her much anymore, but she's still one I'm attached to.
-Jamilton (Ship, Hamilton the musical):
Look, I'm not proud of this one, but it would be deceptive to not include it. I've read more of this pairing on ao3 than any others, I have fanart that will never see the light of day, and I thought about them constantly for over two years. I still have a soft spot for this ship, but it's not an obsession anymore (thank God).
-Darkstalker (Wings of Fire):
Ohhhh boy. I had the biggest crush on this stupid dragon for years and years. The longest out of anybody on this list, if I'm being honest. I was a horrible Darkstalker defender for a while, and actually built a dedicated shrine in my room for him. He kind of gives me the ick now because of all this.
-Varian (Tangled the Series):
BABY BOY! Honestly, I'm tempted to just spam baby boy and let it devolve into keyboard smashing, because that is the only way to describe how I feel about this character. The little guy!
-Tom (Star Versus the Forces of Evil): He's the only reason I watched the show. My first watchthough of it was actually just me reading which episodes he's in on Wikipedia and then only watching those. Was I confused? Yes. But I loved him!
-Finleap (Warriors): I can't explain this at all. I just thought he was cute in AVoS, so he became my favorite warrior cat. He still is, but mostly because of nostalgia. He takes up zero braincells now, to be honest.
-Tax (Hunger Games):
This one is a joke... I think. He's a character that gets one mention throughout the entire series. I thought it'd be funny to call him my favorite character so that everybody was like "Who?" but I ended up with actual backstory ideas. Either way, I love him.
THE FLEETING
Characters that I obsessed over for around a week to a few months, then it faded. I'm still fond of most of them.
-Red Son (LEGO Monkie Kid):
What a silly little man! I really like him! That's all I can really say. I've written him some AUs, and I just had fun whenever he was on the screen. He's a good time.
-Bea (Night in the Woods):
She's just well-written. I like shipping her with Mae, too. She's a cool character, and I still have a bit of a crush. She feels so realistic and a bit tragic.
-Klaus (Umbrella Academy): Traumatized gay drug addict? Count me in! He's the only one in this section with his own fleshed-out backstory written by me. I think about him the most out of everybody in this section and still really love him.
THE APPRENTICES
Characters that I'm building an obsession with, but they aren't quite there yet.
-Narinder, Baal and Aym (Cult of the Lamb): Just a demon dad and his babies! I'm giving this one a few months before I really consider it an obsession, but I do really love them!
-Ethan (Never Have I Ever):
What a silly man! He's hot, and you know I love the bad boys. This could just be a fleeting emo boy thing, or we could have a deeper connection. We'll see.
THE SIDEKICKS
These are characters that I only like in relation to another character.
-Duncan (Total Drama):
Only with Courtney. They have the most fun dynamic of pretty much any ship. I really love them together, and Duncan's fun with her.
-Pretty much every Divergent character:
I love them in relation to Peter! Especially Caleb and Molly. I like most of these characters fine on their own, but I love the Peter dynamics.
-Mae (Night in the Woods): She's a great and relatable character, but I honestly only like her to ship with Bea.
-Kris (Deltarune):
Is Kris even a character at all? They're just kind of the player. Either way, I ship them with Susie and I love it.
-Jasmine (Total Drama): I just like the idea of Shawn having a buff, tall girlfriend who doesn't understand him whatsoever. It's funny and cute.
THE UNWORTHY
Characters that were so close to being an obsession, but I lost interest just a bit too quickly for them to make a lasting impact.
-Logan (Veronica Mars): Okay, he's definitely my favorite of this group. He's such a funny little guy. Such a traumatized man, and it's hilarious that he keeps beating up people for Veronica. He's such a good boy, no matter what the show wants you to think.
-Hunter (The Owl House):
He's my favorite from the show, but I never connected to him on that deep level. I don't look at him and think of headcanons, I just look at him and think "Oh, he's neat."
-JD and Veronica (Heathers):
This is different from the others in this section because the interest never faded. I love them just as much now as I did a few years ago. It could never cross the obsession threshold, though.
-Anne Boleyn and Katherine Howard (SIX): Yes, I am aware of K. Howard's real name, but I'm talking about the Six version here. They're just fun little traumatized gals who I ultimately couldn't fall in love with for whatever reason. Maybe because they're real people, and adding trauma seems weird.
-Princess Carolynn + Sara Lynn (Bojack Horseman): Both of these have a similar vibe. I love them and think that they're incredible characters, but the show is so good that there's nothing I can do with them. There's no way to break them further, no way to improve their story. They're just great.
-Kitty (Glee):
This may be a joke. I don't know at this point. She does have some trauma points going for her, so that's something. I just think the idea of this woman nearly murdering her classmate by purposely giving her an eating disorder, showing no remorse, waiting until they're about to die to confess, then immediately being forgiven, and the whole situation never being brought up again is really funny. She is absolutely awful, and I love her for it.
-Newt (Mazerunner):
When I was watching the Mazerunner movies, I was bored out of my mind. None of the characters had any... well- character. So jokingly, I said "Newt's my favorite character because at least he has a cool accent." Fast forward three movies and I'm sobbing over his death. Somewhere, my joke attachment became real attachment, and I don't know how.
-Connor (Dear Evan Hansen):
Emo boy! What else is there to say, really?
-Angel Dust (Hazbin Hotel):
Once again, emo boy! He's got trauma and shit. Trauma and shit is relatable and a nice coping mechanism.
-Harley Quinn (DC):
I connect with abuse victims. What else is there to say, really? Her story resonated with me.
-Minthe (Greek Mythology):
This one is basically an OC because she's got one mention in Greek myths. Again, this is a connecting to abuse victims thing. I really starting loving her after Lore Olympus, though. I read it and thought "Fuck you, that's a messed up portrayal of this poor woman," and vowed to write her better. I still have some comic book pages of that, actually.
-Every character from Hadestown:
This is the best musical I've ever seen, and the relationships are so fun. I'm invested in Hades and Persephone as well as Orpheus and Eurydice.
-Dee and Heavy (Metal Family):
I just like their dynamic. Plus, Dee is an emo boy. You know the drill at this point.
-Feather (OC):
My DND character. He's very fleshed out (over forty pages of lore). I really wanted to force myself to love him, but I just couldn't. There was a stretch where I was very fond of him, though.
-Torpedo (OC):
This was a character in an old roleplay game I did with my friends when we were little. I still really love most of these characters, but it's more of a nostalgic connection at this point.
-FTSRTD cast (OC):
I had fun with most of the cast, but I never connected to any as much as I did Cat. There was a period where Ezra was my favorite, but that passed quickly.
-Asriel (Undertale):
I don't know why he's so far down. This kid is fun and I wish I could save him. I've listened to every His Theme cover in existence, and I still crave more.

What do you think ab this "discourse" that's been going around, started by this ex-larrie who "is trying to make amends"? They keep reposting these two masterposts that debunk bg, I don't have that much info but have blogs seen them before and have THEY been debunked (I'd love to know more) bc they're acting like it's never been seen before bc big blogs "manipulating" didn't share them. And the rainbow bears are apparently the sound guy ....
LOL I’ve literally been discussing nothing else but this for the past few days lol, just scroll on my blog a bit love 😉 As for the MPs about bbygate, don’t even get me started. I honestly don’t care if they used a surrogate, if Brianna magically grew a bump within a month after the Christmas picture (that was deleted right away, btw; you don’t delete perfectly normal pics if there’s nothing to see), OR if the child was delivered via stork, all I know is that the kid is constantly, PROVABLY, photoshopped, and that’s not NORMAL. In fact the whole situation is so far from normal it’s laughable.
A single monther is sued for scamming a guy for boobs because her multi millionaire baby daddy pays her only 60k a year and she has no MONEY FOR FOOD. This is a REAL THING that was alleged. That’s NOT NORMAL. The custody arrangement between Louis and a family who flaunts covid rules and is openly racist is NOT NORMAL. And inconsistent with the person Louis has proven himself to be.
Remember when the wildfires were so severe the J’s had to evacuate? And Louis’ rep didn’t NOT reply, didn’t simply say “they’re okay,” but instead REPLIED, “no comment.” ?????????
Also the unbelievably dense arguments that Louis can’t discuss the child now and won’t post about him because he’s “private” and “can’t risk losing his crazy bg believing fanbase” is horseshit because first off, his Larry fanbase is MUCH bigger, and he’s tweeted, given interviews, said in print etc etc etc MULTIPLE TIMES how fake Larry is, even going so far as to be offensive about it. So you’re saying, by this logic, that Louis wouldn’t devote the same energy to defending his son? Interesting. No matter how you twist that, the logic doesn’t make sense.
And finally. They did a hand off in a parking lot. In front of paps. In fact everything they did ever from the first to the last was in front of paps. What about the domain names B’s family bought before they could have conceivably known she was preggers? What about the name of Freddie Reign? What about Jay deleting every single picture of the kid from her IG but leaving every other member of her family? And keep in mind Louis still has all his pics up.
Look I wish I was omnicent and knew all the answers about this but I don’t. I would be more than willing to accept that Louis is gay AND had a child with a woman. (That wouldn’t even be a problem for me larry wise honestly. People have rough patches.) That’s not uncommon. In fact I would be thrilled for Louis to have a little son to love and dote on, because Freddie is a cutie and he deserves nothing but the best in life, like any other kid. And Louis LOVES kids. He adores babies. He lights up like a firefly whenever he has a kid in his arms.
Except his own. Find me one photo of Louis smiling that big, giant, absolutely glowing smile he has when meeting ANY other child EVER, while holding Freddie. That’s the biggest tell for me. By all means believe what you like but we’re not batty for thinking this is not NORMAL. Anyways that was super long winded I apologize but YEAH nony, all that info has been seen before by all of us. There’s nothing new under the sun here. In fact it’s also pretty common for certain, all-knowing-type larries to turn anti when they get a taste of validation and a smidge of attention... interesting, huh?

The politics are the cough. the disease is flooding to chase the trend of personal brand building. Events and confusing communities and arguably the arrangement of the direct market itself. No simplicity and lots of expense with shakeup one after the other.
And some transparently business or out of story disrupting existing (in humans versus mutants)
Starting Marvel, as an example, is harder than figuring out where to come in on the Fate series. I mention this because Comics are often compared to manga and yet however convoluted in silly may get for the most part you buy one collection, or let's not kid ourselves pirate, or wait until an animated adaptation comes out realize that it's pretty much faithful, go back to the core comic and so long as you start from the beginning you can follow to the end. Even if it's based off of a visual novel chances are everything will progress from beginning to end. It's usually when that models messed up with that something becomes destructive and difficult to follow or deal.
Unlike with manga where if you're having trouble following where to start with, like the Fate series, you can at least enjoy the latest Nasu verse offering. especially if you can turn your brain off and just engage with one example. Or if you don't want to deal with that you can just go to an entirely different property from a similar publisher that scratches a similar itch.
Like the premise of America Chavez buts I think she did it wrong? Well it's not like you can just switch over to Champions because that's a mess as well along with Miles Morales Spider-Man and ms. Marvel or spider woman.
it's expensive, patchy, filled with all sorts of weird continuity that you end up having to buy just to start. As such only the dedicated fanbase could possibly tolerate it but that also is exclusive in the sense that it's so to them with a history that it feels kind of off-putting.
I like the comicsgate comics I have heard of. I can also understand why we try to move away from that. Such as very obvious p*** tracing. And so on. Yes supposed diversity has basically led to a similar story of we're here now we're going to f*** the status quo too strongly relating to the audience or the author's pandering.
But it's not just they're going to have a trans person in an announcement. Which is a pretty major character trait I imagine that they want to talk about that or include it in the announcement.
the discontinuity does not help you build upsetting characters characterization and Circumstance. This is what I mean you're following themes story and events building to something then a new author will come in and he or she will wreck all that up so that they can go in an entirely different direction. Okay maybe you don't like the homosexual overtones of Eddie Brock and Venom. Maybe you want to stick it to all the slash shippers on Tumblr. But they've been the people who been following the comic and there's been a multi-year build up with sleeper, Eddie Brock and Venom's son.
going no now Eddy has a son he doesn't know about. oh and he was in the car that killed a child and him and Venom hate each other? Basically says f*** that other story we're going back to this story because I liked it better when I was young and I like it this way. And this kind of hostility is constant with every Changing of the Guard which can happen almost every two to three years. This keeps happening right when things are starting to get good or conclusion is reached. this undermines any death any major event or twist especially when it's in the headlines as if it's going to be meaningful
we can't even engaged in the illusion that someone has a plan charting something out when it feels like it's always fly by the seat of the pants the slightest whim can blow off the direction. We know in our conscious nothing that happens matters or at the very least when things end and we don't move on to something else then realize that there was a change but it seems seamless. Or at the very least it's a damn good seem that makes a very likeable and unique and distinct quilt. Again comparing and contrasting with manga
basically constantly ragging on the Politics as if that's what's causing the problem as opposed to Poor practices is off. yeah the customer service is definitely a no-go. But let's not kid ourselves Fanboys started it
I can straight up say that if you had a book that was straight up gay. like it starred the gay couple that once was Rescued by Captain America including his childhood hero And they were joined by the gender-bending exiled courtesan. you know those girls that always hang around in the background of Thor comics and everybody talks about winching and all that stuff? What if we actually focus on one of them and we threw in some mythological deviant queerness with the idea that men who practiced a certain form of Witchcraft had to be ladies. Now in practice this often meant anything from cross-dressing to performing ceremonies with a freaking dildo. But this is Comics so instead I can just go with the idea that after he uses magic so much he can turn or does turn into a lady. At first it's inadvertent but then he Masters the power so much that can transform into any lady. So he can go from weak little nerdy witch man to a Vanir (super durable pretty strong) or she giant.
It gets even more so when apparently he can change not just to a generic woman but any specific one. so he can literally clone an individual lady alive or dead. If she's dead you can act as a vessel for her soul so effectively while he might be booted deep within he can resurrect anyone's female loved one. Until changes back. The Twist is that while he won a beauty contest to be one of Odin's many many side pieces due to the politics and sociology of the time and the setup Odin didn't like admitting that they were both men or equals. Now the crossdressing courtesan isnt necessarily the nicest person. In fact the number one thing that characterizes him is that he hates the alpha male warrior culture or at least what he perceives of the negatives of it of Asgard. But that doesn't necessarily mean that he provides a good alternative. This will be a total retcon. not only would this make Odin effectively bisexual -although it's long since established that it seems like he's banged about so much he has had a child with everyone but his wife- but the idea that Loki and Thor grew up exposed to this weird gender-bending courtesan who tried to compete with the affections of their Queen Mother just so that that way he could get ahead and hated showing the absolute loyalty and Devotion to Asgard seeking glory in battle and death as opposed to conniving Gatling favor and trolling for booty while having to serve drinks for the Warriors that came by and were celebrated in the castle Hall.
Probably make up all sorts of relationships with other lesser-known Danny's that haven't been as much part of Marvel Thor but are important or at least well-known for the tradition. I would also shamelessly ripoff @gumon and her take on Norse mythology. With giants that just naturally produce children whether male or female. anyway ignoring all the continuity just so I could bring in the mythology that I want I would have it so that he was ultimately exiled because he got set up on a failure assignment. He got assigned to the Blue Mountain the traveling planet or set of rocks now that was the home of one of the Warriors Three the blue guy well the guy who wears blue and looks kind of like Angus Khan
The entire point of this is to get a different eye view of the Marvel Universe. What was it like to be one of those disposable pin-up girls. What is the gay population in gay culture and gay people been doing and light of the world that's been invaded from the ground been in a Perpetual fight with remnants of terrorists from World War II. And of course how they've been in for you property and making their lives and how are they responding to the fact that New York finally recognizes their marriage and of course life in the Twilight years as a gay couple that's constantly facing mortality. Also with the usual hey I'm an immortal mystical being who's having to relearn how to be human after having lived a life with a God's but neither being loyal to them nor a particular loyal to my own people. Along with the issues of the shapeshifter gender Dynamics and identity and all other sort of things. Pretty damn gay book. But I read it
Kids like imitating what they see so ripping the idea that someone's going to take some of the more iconic X-Men looks and style themselves after them when they know that their mutant doesn't seem wrong. I like the idea that we're going to open with someone who manages an online community for mutants. I like the idea of Trailblazer I like the ladies thick and I like the fact that she has a more utility power that she's going to have to work with and around hopefully being clever though that backpack does run the risk of becoming the Omnitrix and having the solution for every problem that you need.
Basically I like the children of the atom a bit more than the whole lineup of the new Warriors. I think people really should give the characters a chance so if you're turned off by yet another set of incest siblings in Marvel ya no problem or argument here.
