SUMMERTIME SADNESS
Jeremiah Fisher x Fem!Reader
Tumblr media
(Summary: ~ Think I'll miss you forever. Like the stars miss the sun in the morning sky ~
No place in the world ever felt more like home to Y/n Rowe than Cousins beach. Sure it was a beautiful place, but it was more to do with the people. Her and her mother spent every summer since she was brought home with the Fishers and the Conklins. It was her favorite time of year.
But this year felt different. Everything felt more intense. She was finally comfortable in her skin. And that meant maybe, just maybe, Jeremiah Fisher might actually notice her.)
(Warnings: none for this chapter besides some underage drinking and insecure thoughts)

Chapter 1:
I loved cousins beach. Maybe even more than home. But then again it never feels quite like home without the fishers and the conklins. Me and my mother have been staying with them at cousins beach since before I could remember. It was my favorite part of the year. It suck’s being so far from your best friends. So the months between June and august we have to make the most of it. Me and belly would call sporadically throughout the school year but the weeks leading up to cousins whe faced times every single night. Planning outfits and talking about what we would do all summer.
And well, the fisher boys. It was painfully obvious how much belly liked Conrad. I remember the day I squeezed the information out of her. Literally. We were in her room two summers ago and it was late. We had been messing around playing dress up in some clothes I stole from my mom when I bring it up.
“Belly I swear I know who you like.”
“No you don’t.” She says looking in the floor length mirror giggling.
“Yes I do.” I say jumping to her shoulders with a hug. She squealed
As we fell to the bed.
“Who then?” She laughs squinting her eyes.
“CONRA-“ I say loudly before she puts her hands over my mouth.
“STOP! Be quiet.” She whispers eyeing the door hoping the boy didn’t her me from down the hall.
“I knew it.” I say muffled from under her fingers. I wrap my arms around her squeezing her in a big hug causing her to let my mouth go.
“That’s so cute! I knew it!” I smile. She just rolls her eyes with a big blush across her cheeks.
“Fine, fine. I like conrad. But you can’t tell anyone.” She said looking me dead in the eyes.
“Pinky promise.” I grin softly.
“Pinky promise.” She says wrapping hers around mine.
“Plus I promise not to tell anyone you like Jeremiah.” She giggles causing a loud gasp to leave my lips.
Sitting in the car on the way to cousins always brings up memories like that. Maybe it’s the nerves that get built up to see him. Would he notice me that way this summer? Did he look better than the year before? It always clouded my mind on the road there. But then we would hit this place in the road where you could smell the sea so strong it would all fade away. And the excitement would flow back in.
We finally pull up to the house and I see Jeremiah and a soaking wet belly run out the door.
“Y/n!” Belly yells jumping into my arms. Getting me slightly wet in the process.
“Hi bells.” I muse with a wide smile.
“I missed the belly flop didn’t I?” I laugh and Jeremiah chuckles walking up to us.
“Oh yeah you did. But this time she got Conrad back.” He says and belly moves to the side letting him get a hug in.
“Missed you n/n.” He says squeezing me tight spinning us around.
“I missed you too Jere.” I say letting go. The feeling on his hands moving themselves from my waist to his sides making my cheeks heat up. Belly just smiles knowingly and then they both greet my mom, helping her with her bags. I start to get mine out when Susannah, Laurel, Steven, and Conrad walk outside.
“My beautiful girl. Look at you!” Susannah smiles as she walks up to me pilling me up in a warm hug. Sometimes the only thing in the world that can make me feel better is a hug from Susannah. She has this was of making you believe everything will be okay.
“I missed you so much.” I say holding her tight.
“My turn, my turn!” Laurel says and Susannah lets her get a hug.
“Ugh I’m so excited to be here with you guys.” I say and she pulls away fixing my hair.
“It’s so good to see you.” She smiles and they both turn to my mom. They all smile and embrace each other. It makes me wonder if us kids will be like them when we’re older. But I’m brought out of thought when I feel a hand aggressively messing up my hair.
“Hi Steven.” I say rolling my eyes.
“You know I’m gonna get pay back for last summer right.” He says with a glare that doesn’t reach the giant smile on his lips.
“Oh yeah I bet.” I smirk. Every summer me and Steven have a little prank war. Last year me and belly stole all of his clothes while he was in the shower and dumped them in the pool. The moms made us do laundry for a week after. But it was worth it.
He goes to say hi to my mom and Conrad comes up.
“You got taller.” He smiles.
“You didn’t.” I say smiling back causing him to laugh.
“Yeah yeah okay, I’m gonna got say hi to the nicer Rowe, before I’m all Rowe-ed out for the day.” He jokes and belly comes up to me.
“Let’s get your bags inside. I wanna get you all unpacked so we can hang out.” She says dragging me to the trunk of the car. We grab everything and head up to my room.
The light blue patterned wallpaper brings this sensation of calm everyone I walk in. It feels serene. My room back home is covered in posters, but here, here was a clean slate for my mind to breathe in every year.
Belly puts my bags on the bed and I open them up starting to unpack my clothes her putting away my makeup stuff.
“God I love all your makeup stuff it’s so pretty. I need to get better at it before I can go all out like this.” She smiles as I put a few shirts in the drawer.
“I’ll teach you don’t worry. Plus you’re so beautiful already makeup for you should just be fun.” I remark. She looks up at me with a blush.
“You’re just saying that.” She scoffs.
“No I’m serious bells. You’ve always had beauty don’t get me wrong, but you had a glow up this year.” I reassure and her smile grows.
“Well you’ve gotten more beautiful too. You just seem so comfortable in your skin this summer.” She says back. Nudging me with her hip.
I just thank her. She was half right. I definitely feel more confident in my self. But I’ll always feel insecure in this town. All the pretty girls on the beach will never fail to make me self conscious about what should be my so called ‘bikini body’. Or not being able to wear makeup to the beach when I’m having a breakout. But I’ve learned to ignore those thoughts as well as I can.
I’m a year older than belly. And I always feel like I have to hide those thoughts from her. Be a good example. She doesn’t need to find insecurities in herself because I’m complaining about mine.
“Hey let’s go to my room real quick I want to change out of these wet clothes.” She giggles pulling me out of thought.
“Oh yeah duh, let’s go.” I smile. “I wanna pick out your outfit though.” I smirk and she sighs.
“You’re so extra about this stuff.” She complains and I just laugh.
“I got a passion for fashion, what can I say.”
“Did you just quote bratz.” She giggles as I go through her drawers.
“And what if I did.” I smirk.
“You’re so-“ she starts to say when the door slams open.
“Hello ladies.” Jeremiah says jumping on belly’s bed.
“She could have been changing you dork.” I say throwing a pillow at him.
“You guys always lock the door when you change. I know you.” He says throwing the pillow.
“But anyways both of you do need to change. I’ve been waiting all day to go to the beach with you guys.”
“I- uh, told my mom me and y/n would go to whale of a tale.” She says and Jeremiah grabs junior mint making a sad face.”
“Please come swimming with me.” He says in this stupid baby voice.
“-I think she can go by herself.” Belly says and me and Jere share a big smile.
“YAY!” He exclaims getting up off the bed. He grabs my wrist pulling me to my room. Before I can say he shuts the door with me in it.
“Both of you go change!” He says and runs downstairs.
I pull out a bathing suit and head downstairs with my towel meeting Jere and belling in the back.
“Ready?” I ask and he turns to me. God his eyes were blue. They had a tack for making me forget what I was thinking about when I started speaking to him. They both say yes and we start walking but the whole walk all I could think of was how he got tanner this summer. And his hair looked fluffier than last. He had gotten taller too. He had to look down a little to make eye contacts. Which made my heart flutter.
“Hey. Did you know my dad's coming up for the Fourth?” Says belly making us look at her.
“Cool.” Jeremiah smiles.
“Yeah that’s great.” I say doing the same.
“Don't you think it's weird?” She asks.
“Not really. I love your dad.” Jere adds.
“Yeah, but they've only been divorced for, like, a year and a half.” She sighs.
“Well, that's what's so cool about your mom, you know? She just doesn't give a shit.” He says.
“Exactly. She doesn't give a sh¡t because she's the one who wanted the divorce in the first place.” She continues.
“Forever grateful I’m adopted. I never have to deal with men. It sounds exhausting.” I giggle and they both join in.
“I think if you don't want to be married, you just shouldn't be married.” Jere says and I nod.
“It’s better for everyone involved.”
“Well, tell that to my grandma. She basically collapsed when my mom told her. Did you know my dad has a new girlfriend already?” She chuckles.
“Well, what about your mom? Is she dating anybody?” Jere asks.
“No. Oh, and he has a beard now.” She laughs.
“Oh yeah?” I say.
“Your dad has a beard?” Jere says with a confused face.
“Yeah. He thinks it makes him look cool.” She sighs.
“Well, does it?” I ask.
“Kind of.” She snorts.
“I've waited all year for this.” I say loudly as we get to the water.
“You want to race?” Jere asks us.
“No, no, I can't, you...” belly starts to say then runs towards the water leaving us behind.
“Oh that is just not fair.” I say and start running too.
“Oh, come on. Wait up!” Jere yells and chases us. He quickly catches up to me grabbing me and spinning me around.
“If I can’t be first I’ll be second.” He smiles. “SORRY N/N” he continues and bolts for the water. I just kinda stand there for a second in a daze. The heat from his body goes just as quickly as it came leaving me in shock. I’ve always had a crush on the younger fisher brother. But for some reasons this year it felt stronger. Maybe it’s because I finally feel pretty enough in my own skin. Maybe he’ll notice me.
Jeremiah fisher is the biggest flirt in cousins. He’s had multiple summer flings for the past few years. But I don’t want to be that. I don’t want to be someone he forgets about in the fall. And maybe being friends is the only way that can happen. But a girl can dream.
We all head back to the house for dinner. Getting changed into dry clothes and seated at the table.
“Steven, I swear to God, if you look at that phone one more time, I'm putting it in the screen basket.” Laurel says scolding her oldest child.
“It's just, we want to see your beautiful faces. Can dinner be a screen-free zone? You know, like the olden days.” Susannah smiles with a small chuckle at her own joke.
“Steven.” Laurel repeats. Jeremiah takes his phone from his hands and throws it into the basket.
“Dude, are you kidding me?” Steven exclaims.
“Boom! Nailed it.” Jere says flexing.
“Okay, okay, okay, we get it, you've been working out.” Steven complains.
“Oh, you're just jealous because Jere has a better body than you.” I say nonchalant but quickly look up to see Jere looking at me with a pleasantly surprised look on his face.
“Thank you n/n. You’re pretty bodacious yourself.” He says quoting ‘bill and teds excellent adventure.’ I made him watch it with me last year and he hasn’t stopped sending me stupid texts quoting it since. I just roll my eyes with a small smile, saying thank you.
“Uh, no, actually, it's all about the lean look now. Otherwise, you can't wear tailored suits.” Steven defends.
“Sure, sure.” Belly says.
“Tailored suits.” Conrad laughs.
“When are you leaving for training camp, man?” Steven asks him.
“Uh, he quit football.” Jere says.
“Wh... Wait, really? You quit?” Steven asks.
“Mm-hmm.”
“Are you kidding me, man? I'd-I'd kill to play college ball.” Steven continues.
“He can always change his mind.” Susannah butts in.
“I'm not gonna change my mind. I was just gonna sit on the bench all season anyways.” Conrad says getting annoyed.
“Well, if you're not playing football anymore, what are you gonna do all summer?” Belly asks.
“Oh, dude, you can work at the club. with me and Jere.” Steven says.
“Yeah. I'm not gonna work at the club.” Conrad scoffs.
“Wait, you guys are working this summer?” I ask.
“Yeah, I'm lifeguarding, and Steven's working at the snack shop.” Jere says doing a lil hand shake with Steven.
“Oh, Belly, Y/n, I almost forgot. I have a surprise for you.” Susannah says taking out two white invitations.
“So, this is why you had to stop by the country club.” My mom says. And Laurel shakes her head.
“I wrangled Belly and y/n an invitation to be a debutante.” Susannah exclaims.
“Is that the thing where the girls wear white dresses and curtsy?” Belly asks.
“It's when a girl comes of age and is presented to society. I-I know it sounds silly, but I swear it's fun. Girls come from all over New England to Cousins just to be a part of it. You'll make so many new friends.” Susannah defends.
“I cannot believe you are still holding on to this archaic dream.” My mom laughs.
“No, it used to be about finding a husband, but now it's about networking. They teach you leadership skills, like how to market yourself, and it benefits charity. It's, um, like a bat mitzvah.” Susannah continues.
“It is not like a bat mitzvah. There is nothing religious about a debutante ball.” Laurel scoffs.
“The whole deb scene is bullshit. It's for sheep.” Conrad says.
“No, it's not. It's when a girl has a coming out, it's a formal recognition she's reached maturity.” Susannah continues.
“Oh, sorry. I'm sorry. Mature?” Steven says surprised.
“Yes.”
“Belly and Y/n?”
“Mm-hmm.”
“A-a couple months ago you had a cat funeral. You made us all wear black.” Steven exclaims flabbergasted.
“Shut up, Steven. I saw you crying in your room.” Belly recoils.
“Wait, Mochi died? Dang. I'm sorry, Bells.” Jere says a sympathetic expression taking his features.
“Girls. Don't you want to get all dressed up?” Susannah asks hopeful.
“It's just not Belly's kind of thing. She's our feral little alley cat.” Laurel says. My mom already knows I’ll say yes. I like dressing up. Meeting new people isn’t my favorite thing but if it’s with belly I’ll do it.
Belly looks to me and I smile softly causing her to do the same and look back to Susannah.
“I'll think about it.” She says.
“She'll think about it.” Says Susannah to Laurel happily.
We finish up dinner and I head up to my room. After a few minutes I hear a knock at my door. Jere cracks it open and I invite him in.
“Hey, there’s a bonfire tonight. I already asked your mom and she said you could go. Get dressed.” He says flopping down on my bed next to me.
“What my pajamas aren’t bonfire ready enough for you.” I say turning to him.
“They are, but I know you. Go pick out a cute little outfit. And let’s go.” He says booping my nose and walking out of my room.
Sometimes I hate how right he is.
I pick out a dress and put on my leather jacket. It gets cold at the beach during the night. I slide on my shoes and head to the door to the back yard.
“Ooo y/n give us a twirl.” Jeremiah says with a smile as I walk up and I laugh doing a small 360 for him and Steven.
“Okay let’s go!” Steven says and we walk out the back door.
“First bonfire of the summer!” jere says loudly.
“All right, we're totally taking my car. You're not driving.” Jere says pointing to steven.
“Come on, man, we're leaving. You ready?” Steven says to Conrad who is sitting at the edge of the pool talking to belly.
“Can I come, too?” She asks.
“Uh, no. The moms are getting everything set up for your movie night.” Steven says.
“See you. Let's go, slowpoke. Have fun with the moms!” Jere says.
“Hey why can’t belly come?” I ask but the boys start walking away.
“Come on y/n.” They say not stopping.
“I’m sorry. I’ll take you out a different night. Just us girls.” I say to belly heading to the car.
We get to the bonfire and I thought I would be hanging out with them but they all dispersed and left me alone. Steven is flirting with this girl and Conrad is already making out with someone. Jere has a group of like four people fawning over his attention. I’m not a big drinker so I just kinda chill by the fire. Till I decide to go walk closer to the water. I needed to get the sight of Jeremiah flirting with other people out of my head.
I loved the ocean. Well. To be honest I loved the shore. The part of the water that you can still see your feet in when you look down.
The first time I realized I liked Jeremiah we were sitting on the shore. We were 12 and we sat covered in wet sand digging for sand crabs. He had found one and told me to put my hands out. He put it and a small pile of sand onto my palms and put his forehead to mine to block the sun. We sat there and watched it dig around. Legs crisscross and knees together. His eyes met mine for a second and he had the biggest smile of his face. That was the first moment I understood what people meant when they said they got butterflies in their stomachs.
I shook the memory out of my head and started walking back to the bonfire. It was getting too cold. When I got there though I saw belly. And she was talking with some guy. They looked cute together so I just left them alone. Till I hear Conrad fighting with some guy.
“What's your problem, man?”
“It's one beer. It's a party. Relax.”
“No, give me my beer back. I paid for this.”
“Stop, stop. You're drunk. Just give him the beer.” The girl Conrad was with says.
“Maybe you should listen to your lady.”
“Stop. You're drunk.”
“No. I'm fine. I'm fine. Give me the beer back.” Conrad argues.
“You guys, you guys, you guys.” Belly says walking up to them just as it’s about to get physical. She gets elbowed in the face by the guy Conrad was arguing with.
“Belly.” Conrad says concerned.
“Guys. What the hell.” I say running to help belly up.
“What the fսck is wrong with you?” Conrad says to the guy.
“Are you okay?” Jere says coming up to belly.
“Come on, big man, come on.“ the guy says still egging Conrad on.
“Quit being a dick.” I yell at the guy.
“COPS!” Some kid yells and lights start flashing. We all run to the jeep and climb in. I look around and notice I dropped my phone.
“Fuck I lost my phone I’ll be right back.” I say.
“I’ll help you look.” Jere says.
We trace back our steps and find it.
“Shit this thing is gonna be full of sand for weeks.” I complain and he laughs.
“It’ll be fine don’t worry about it- hey is that Steven?” He asks and we look over.
“Steven hurry up!” I yell and he runs over.
“Sorry I was saying goodbye.”
“Oooh Steven got a girlfriend-“ I start to say goofing around with him till we get to the jeep and see the cops talking to belly and Conrad. Fuck.
We get escorted home and Laurel takes care of it.
“Officers, thank you. It won't happen again, I can promise you that much.”she says.
“Tell Mr. Fisher the chief wants to set up a tee time when he gets back in town.” The officer says.
“Absolutely. Sorry again for all the trouble. Have a good night, Officers.” Laurel says and shuts the door turning to us with disappointed look.
“How could you guys be so irresponsible?”
“Mom, it wasn't a big deal. All right?” Belly says.
“Seriously. The cops were just looking to break up the bonfire.” Steven says.
“Not a big deal? Yes. I would say getting picked up by the cops for underage drinking is a pretty big deal, Steven.” She says letting out a scoff.
“Were-were you guys, you guys smoking tonight?” Conrad asks and my jaw drops. Why is he being such a douchebag.
“What? Keep your voice down. Susannah and Kate are asleep on the couch.” Laurel says panicked.
“Well, I wasn't yelling.” He continues.
“Well, you-you-you were.”
“Just so you know, Laurel, I-I didn't drink tonight. I was the DD, I swear.” Jere reassured her. But she doesn’t care.
“You're the oldest. What the hell's gotten into you?” She says to Conrad.
“And when did you leave the house without telling anybody? And what in the world are you wearing?” She says looking to belly.
“It's Taylor's. And why am I the only one who's not allowed to go out?” She asks.
“It's not that you're not allowed, it's that you should have told us you were going. How did you even get there?” Laur says concerned.
“I walked.”
“Jesus. You know better than to walk that far down the beach alone late at night.”
“Can you stop treating me like a kid?” Belly pleads.
“If you want to be treated like an adult, you need to act like one.”
“Then maybe you guys should, too.” Conrad says digging himself in deeper.
“What does that mean? I hope you realize this night could have ended a lot differently if your family wasn't your family.” She says to the boys.
“We're sorry, Laur.” I say.
“Just... go to bed, guys.” She says sighing and we all walk upstairs.
Im about to get ready for bed when I feel arms wrap around me from the back.
“Jere go to bed.” I say shaking my head.
“Im so happy you’re here.” He says letting go and I smile.
“Why.”
“Cause me and you are doing another movie night soon.” He says.
“Oh yeah?” I questions.
“Yeah and it’s my turn to pick.” He says. “Be prepared to be stollen from belly one of these nights.” He continues and leaves the room only to crack the door open one last time.
“Good night n/n.”
“Good night Jere.” I say and he shuts the door.
I get ready for bed and climb under the covers. As I’m falling asleep all I can think about is his arms wrapped around me.
This summer was going to be great.

Fabian Aramais Seacaster S3 Playlist: side a
Here he is! God's favorite popular kid!! Song descriptions down below, spoilers for fantasy high junior year ep. 1-10
Genres include: dance/electronic, alternative, rnb, pop-punk
1. Stop, Justice
So many times we rise and fall After a while it's coming all together Together So many times we rise and fall Wondering if we'll find it all together Together Remember all the nights and days we spent together Together It's so easy to forget how to surrender But nothing's ever stopped Music and lights, rhythm and melodies Take us to the top
Is this about how Fabians friendships and newfound love of dance helped him become a happier better person? yes.
Is it also about how often Fabian fell during the Night Yorb battle? also yes.
2. Social Climb, I DONT KNOW HOW BUT THEY FOUND ME
Oh, come break some hearts now Tear them out File in for amusements with the crowd Oh, but be advised Participation is required Doin' things not typically allowed Feels like we're having a good time It's true, a wonderfully good time when I'm with you
Fabian Seacaster, The Most Popular Guy in School, Maximum Legend, making my skin crawl blowing off Mazey's twister game to hang out with Ivy THATS NOT YOUR HEARTTTTTT, THATS NOT WHO YOU AREEEEEE. AND I KNOW he was doing it for the mystery but oh my GOD he was too good at playing that part
3. Call It What You Want, Foster the People
You've taken your words And you take your judgments And stick 'em onto everything If it don't conform to what you were born into Then you run the other way You say, "Now what's your style? And who do you listen to?" Who cares? Well, the rat race ladder climbin' fake fake smiles Got nothing on me, yeah, yeah
Ok, so this is a little unorthodox for me because I usually only put songs from the characters' perspectives on their respective playlists, but I can't get this scene out of my head. In my mind, this is Mazey's perspective from the chunk of that first downtime when Fabian invites her and everyone else in dance class to Seacaster Manor, and Fabian starts to really come out of his shell.
Think of it like a slow-burn montage of the two dancing (literally dancing) around their potential feelings for one another. The song has a really nice groove to it, and it matches up with Mazey's cool and earnest personality.
4. Stronger Than Ever, Raleigh Ritchie
Hate me when I'm gone I'll make it worth your while when I'm successful But, when I'm here I need your kindness 'Cause the climb is always stressful I'll leave my peace in pieces all around The decent people back at home 'Cause I'm a big boy, an adult now or nearly If I pull the wool back from my eyes I can see clearly The world is at my feet and I am standing on the ceiling,
Alone in that big house, trying to be the best at everything, pushing himself harder and harder. The song is so perfect it speaks for itself
5. Thing Called Love, Kevin Ross
Don't know why you love me so much, oh When I can't say I deserve us Like a rocket's failure to launch I just let it self-destruct And it's not right (No) And it hurts twice when it's good-intentioned But that's life (Right?) Or is it my pride that wouldn't listen
Ok these last two are just directly in reaction to episode ten scenes so be warned.THE SCENE WITH FABIAN AND MAZEY IN THE KITCHEN??? Talk about the right person and wrong time and god; it rips my heart out. Like how he earnestly talked about how worried he was for her safety. THE WAY SHE JUST SAYS SHE HAS A CRUSH ON HIM. THE WAY LOU REACTED????? shoot me dead
6. Pieces, Sum 41
I tried to be perfect But nothing was worth it I don't believe it makes me real I thought it'd be easy But no one believes me I meant all the things I said ... This place is so empty My thoughts are so tempting I don't know how it got so bad Sometimes it's so crazy That nothing can save me But it's the only thing I have
"breaker breaker, Fabian Seacaster looking for his papa Bill Seacaster."

Time to knock out a few more chapters for @trigunbookclub.
Stream-of-consciousness thoughts for Trigun Vol. 1, Chapters 5-6 below. (More detailed thoughts will be their own posts.)
Chapter 5: Assault
Man, I wanna get that much food for $12. Or even for $$12.
Milly is smarter than anyone (including her) thinks she is.
Vash is MORE than capable of reading people. He has TONS of experience at it. I love the little nod to this in Stampede where he comments on being able to read Wolfwood's true nature in his eyes.
Why is Vash asking such a poignant question about existence to this kid? Oh, I bet he's trying to suss out whatever cynical seeds inspired the kid to lie to him in the first place.
The kid's got something of Vash figured out, too.
I will never get over this guy's shoulder pads. They will haunt me to my grave.
Tumblr media
I do kinda miss the Bad Lads in Stampede. I get why they might do it, though. Legato and Livio should end up being MUCH more important characters, and the orphanage is a MUCH more important setting, so it tightens things up a bit. But the Bad Lad Gang is so over the top. They were fun.
Gods, speaking of over the top, Trigun excels at crazy names.
Wait, how did Vash get on the bed? He passed out on the floor.
I love literally everything about these two pages. They're beautiful. I love the poetry of everything being so dry, including people's hearts. I love the contrast between Rem's pose and Vash's pose. And I love her calling him "so serious" when he's spent all this time in the story trying to portray the exact opposite image to those around him. She gets him.
Tumblr media
Ah, well, so much for the dream being pleasant.
Aaaand he fell off the bed.
Oh, no. Babygirl is crying over his dream....
No time for crying. Bad Lads abound!
Dude. Don't go stabbing your maps. That just puts holes in them and makes them less functional in the future.
"And if it ain't flashy, what's the point?!" This guy should meet Tengen Uzui from Demon Slayer.
Chapter 6: Die Hards
Oh, no. They've activated Vash's Serious Face(TM).
Tumblr media
I like that we're getting some information on plants. I also like that, at this point in the manga, they literally just sound like industrial manufacturing plants. We have yet to see one up close.
Yeah... it's generally best NOT to shoot the experts you need to do a Thing.
Nightow really likes his pointy teeth, doesn't he?
Tumblr media
Heh. Trying to compensate for the Japanese word for "wait" being two syllables instead of one. Translation is hard.
Yeah, kid, I don't think Shinypants McGee here cares too much what you might think you're getting out of this deal.
Hahahahaha, the way Vash enters the scene is beautiful. No one suspects someone to come UPSIDE DOWN THROUGH THE WINDSHIELD.
I'm gonna be honest; I'm pretty sure the only reason I can follow the action in these panels is because I've seen the '98 anime.
Wait, did he just yeet himself and the kid out the hole in the windshield?! Hmm, that sounds familiar, actually.
Yep, there they are. The kid is appropriately terrified.
Now Vash is also freaking out. Always a good sign.
"The scent of a woman." Dude, you're wearing some sort of crazy gas mask. What kind of freak of nature are you??
Current favorite Meryl/Milly Gremlin Pose:
Tumblr media
If you need an effective hostage, always choose a pretty young girl.
Vash has a right to be frustrated. He literally had NOTHING to do with this.
I have thoughts on the Soupy Brain panel.
There's something about Vash's expression and pose here that I really like. I want to pet his hair.

Ah, yes. I thought I remembered something about this kid being a girl. I love how she's just... draped over her dad with all the casual comfortableness of a kid with their favorite parent.
Don't say "never," kid. It's not too late, and it's hard to judge exactly what a parent wants of their child. Even if you don't meet expectations, if your parent cast you aside for that, then that's on them, not you.
Vash, coming in from Stage Left, with a head-butt, making sure the soup brains don't get too distracted.
I want to read another chapter, but that is not going to result in me going to bed before sunrise, so I guess I'll call it there.

2023
Holy shit. This year had to have been the most eventful year of my life and that's saying something.
Beginning of last year, Gavin and I were struggling to do whatever we could to find an apartment. Well, come February, we did. We finally were able to cross the biggest gap in our lives and relationship. I packed my stuff and suddenly, I was with him and living in Texas. My 28th birthday came and I got to spend it with friends. I haven't spent a birthday with a friend in so long. It felt wonderful to have people that wanted to be around me.
April came around and another one of my biggest dreams came true. I finally got my first puppy. Bliz has been a name for a dog I wanted for years and now he's my precious baby. I love my dog so much. He might be a little special needs as I've come to discover, but he's perfect and I know that fate brought my Bliz and I together. AND along with April, I got my beautiful, gorgeous, handsome, cunty, stunning, sweet, passionate, loving new pookie Niran. He literally brought me back to Overewatch single handedly and I love him. Fell for that man harder than any other fictional man ever. I want him carnally fr.
May was lovely and just as exciting. Not only did we once again have a wonderful time with friends for Gavin's birthday, but we got a new baby as well. Toast and Bliz actually got along and she was our kitten. Sly little thing she is, but I can't imagine life without her. Never was a cat person but I suppose she really changed me. I love my fatass little cat.
June was, hard. While being so excited to see Mexico for the first time ever in the following month, my dad ended up in the hospital. Just after Father's day. Quite possibly the scariest thing my family has ever had to go through. Weeks of nothing but worry and stress. He pulled through, but he will never be how he used to be. He's mostly in a wheelchair and can no longer walk on his own. I miss my father. I miss him so much. I took for granted all the times we went to the grocery store and taking him to the bank. I know everyone says it, but do not take time for granted. It really can be gone in an instant. I am happy to say my dad is okay. Him making it to his 81st birthday and to the New Year, means everything. I want nothing but comfort for him this upcoming year, and for my mom and sister to take it easy too. We all love him.
July, was wonderful. I got to go to Mexico with Gavin's family. They showed me nothing but kindness and caring the whole time. Mexico was beautiful and I want to go back. I have to get my passport updated but hey I will. After Mexico, it was back home to NJ. Being back home felt so right and I wish Gavin and I could move over there, but it's not in the cards right now. But! I enjoyed a great time seeing my dad and going to the Jersey Shore. Time with my mom, sister, and dad pretty much recharged me. Stayed about two weeks longer than intended but I know in the long run I needed that.
August. God. August. It started out great. We were back home and Gavin was ready for his appointment to start T. Both of us were so happy that he could finally start his journey. We went, he got it, life felt so good. However, it seemed like Gavin and I couldn't catch a break and life decided, "yeah, throw them in a car accident." Gavin's car was towed and we were in horrible pain. My stomach was so bruised I couldn't bend down and Gavin could barely use his hands. A whole week of stress and anxiety over what to do now that we didn't have a car. Thankfully his parents were once again, so kind, caring, and understanding that we were able to get a new car. His name is Ramram and he's kept us safe which is all we could ask for.
September wasn't so bad other than learning two of our friends, weren't the people we thought they were. October was pretty okay which was nice. Throughout these months it was mostly financial stress which we still have but the hell am I supposed to do about it at this point.
November. I usually hate November. Halloween is gone and done and I don't really care too much about Thanksgiving. But I suppose Gavin changed that. After weeks of severe depression and anxiety, crying every day, it all stopped. He proposed. He had gotten me the most beautiful ring. Goth and elegant. With one question, everything melted away and I haven't cried a sorrow tear since.
Now that it's December, I realize just how many things happened and how things still are happening. My family and family's friends accept my engagement and are excited for me. They are happy. I'm planning a wedding. I made it far enough in life that I am getting married. I'm getting married next October. I'm still tearing up as I write this because 19 year old Lauren didn't think she'd make it to 20, let alone 27. I'm getting married. It's incredible. Other than being in a dream like state from that, of course I had to get a whole ass addiction to Baulder's Gate 3. Perhaps it's not the traditional dnd experience but I can't say I don't love it. I now get to have some fictional men be here without me needing them. I get to have Astarion and Halsin and Gale at my happiest. That's, so different than all of the ones before them, Niran included. It almost doesn't feel real.
2023 was something else. 2024 is going to be wonderful. I am soon going back to NJ to plan where to have our wedding. Gavin and I will have our first anniversary and Valentine's day together too! I get to go back to NJ a few more times for wedding plans and vacation and then the wedding. My biggest hope for 2024, is that Gavin and I can start a process to start my dream.
I want to be a mother. I wanted to be a mother since as long as I can remember. If I can just start this journey into being a mother, everything up until that point will have been worth it. Every moment of stress, pain, tears, and more. I hope sometime next year I can make a post saying we've succeeded. I know the process won't be easy, but it will be worth it.
Happy New Year everyone. I made it through this year. I can make it through next year, and you can too.

Carpe Diem - Chapter 3
Pairing: Sketchbook (Kaisa/Johanna)
Summary: Carpe diem: one of the five latim mottos of the arcadist, or neoclassical movement. Literally translates to "seize the day"
Picking up where Locus Amoenus left off, this fic follows the lives of Kaisa and Johanna for a couple weeks as their feelings grow and develop.
Notes: Sorry but infodumping/letting someone infodump to you are the ultimate love languages
Read it on ao3 or read the first installment on this verse or read the second installment on this verse
A recurring theme that they noticed on the stalls was that they were mostly decorated and selling a couple of products related to Halloween already, never mind that they were still in September.
Another recurring thing that didn’t escape Johanna, was how excited Kaisa got whenever they passed by stalls that displayed such things. Whenever they walked by a particularly interesting Halloween decoration, or an artist who had selected some “creepy” or darker products to put in front of their stall, Kaisa gasped just loud enough for Johanna to hear, and very subtly bounced up and down on her heels. Very subtly, in a way that she was sure she only had noticed because she was walking oh-so-close to her. It didn’t really surprise her that Kaisa hadn’t been expecting her to pick up on it, because clearly the girl had been underestimating how closely Johanna paid attention to her.
Not that she hadn’t been doing that from day one, that is.
“You really like Halloween, don’t you?”
Kaisa turned to her with wide eyes when she asked it, like she’d been caught doing something she shouldn’t.
“Yeah, kind of. It’s silly though.”
“New rule!” Johanna’s sudden chirp made Kitty look at her like she’d grown a second head. “You’re absolutely not allowed to hold back on what makes you happy, or to feel bad for it. Let’s try this again. You really like Halloween, don’t you?”
Kaisa could only look down at her feet, hoping the black and purple hair that fell over her face covered the way she was absolutely failing to hold back a smile, uselessly biting at the inside of her lips to try to stop them from stretching.
“I really do. I was really obsessed with witches when I was younger, and Tildy always fueled my passions. She gave me every book on every subject I asked for, and an obsession with witches melted into an obsession with Halloween, which became one with the historical roots of the holiday and the Celtic people. Honestly, it’s one of the reasons why I chose to major in History as well as English.”
Success, Johanna thought, looking down at Kaisa who was now displaying the most adorable smile on her lips. She’d always been somewhat aware of the height difference between them, but like this she could see very clearly that Kitty was at least a full ten centimetres shorter.
“That sounds so fun!” As she assured, Johanna wondered how many other interests Kaisa had that would make her sound so alive when she spoke about them. It was kind of sad to know that they were all most likely being neglected, though. With how furiously Kaisa focused on college, Johanna doubted that left her much time to learn about anything that wasn’t related to her lectures. If she had any say in it, though, she’d make sure Kaisa spent as much time engaging with the things that made her happy as possible. “Do you have plans for this Halloween? We could spend it together, if you’d like.”
The look Kaisa gave her was shimmering at first, before being clouded by disappointment. “I’m afraid I have. Tildy forces Frida to go trick-or-treating every year, and makes me go with her. It’s one of her many strategies to force us to have a night of rest from studying. I already promised I’d be doing it. Frida wants us to dress like characters from a cartoon she likes.”
Even though Johanna smiled as Kaisa answered it, bemused at the image of two workaholics being forcibly kicked out of their home to ask for candy (Kaisa’s mother sounded more charming by the minute), Kaisa didn’t feel content about completely turning down her invitation. It was something she’d very much like to do, and she’d hate it for Johanna to get the wrong idea.
“We could do something the day before, though!” She rushed to assure her, terrified that Golden might think she’d been giving an excuse. “Or the day after. Even if it’s not Halloween related, I’d just love to hang out-”
Johanna gave her hand a reassuring squeeze, sensing her distress. “I’d love it too! I’m sure we’ll think of something nice. What characters are you and your sister dressing as?”
It was hard for Kaisa to even contain her sigh of relief when she understood that Johanna really didn’t feel like she was being brushed off. “Amity and Lilith, from The Owl House. Do you know it?”
They kept on walking, Johanna’s brow furrowed in thought. “Isn’t that the gay rights cartoon? I think I saw it on twitter.”
“Yeah, you’re probably thinking of the right one. Frida hasn’t said anything about liking girls or boys yet. I think she’s still very young to have that figured out. But I’m willing to bet that Tildy has some sort of magical filter that she uses when making adoptions that miraculously points her to the lesbians, honestly.”
Johanna was glad she hadn’t been drinking anything. If she had, she certainly would have choked on it and it would have spilled through her nostrils, and it would not have been a pretty sight.
“Gosh, I need to meet your family.” Johanna said through her laughter, happy to see that Kaisa had joined her in on it. “Radical change in topic, but I am starving. Want to grab a bite?”
“Sure!”
Funny, Johanna thought. Even her single worded answers sounded more full of life now.
They skimmed through the next stalls, since most of the food ones were deeper into the market, and only stopped for one that caught Kaisa’s attention. It sold small, handmade perfumed candles, and anyone that passed by the two of them while they were there would have thought they were clinically insane with the way they frantically picked candles of each available scent to smell it, discussing which were the best ones. While they came to the consensus that the coffee bean and vanilla one was the champion, Johanna for the most part was drawn to the wildflowers and tea scented ones, while Kaisa didn’t relinquish her opinion that the apple and cinnamon candle was special. Johanna left empty handed out of pure self control (the tons of unburned candles in her bedside table’s drawer would certainly not appreciate it if she brought home another one just to abandon it), but Kaisa purchased both their favourite candle and the one that smelled like apple pie.
Once more food vendors began popping up, their nostrils were assaulted with the scent of every kind of food you could imagine, which honestly felt like karma for so desperately smelling everything on the candle stall. One of the first stalls had a large metal bowl at its centre, and bags of powder of many colours around it, and there was a child walking away from it with an enormous blue and purple cloud on a stick.
“Cotton candy!” Johanna exclaimed when she spotted it. “Would you like it?”
Kaisa scrunched her nose. “Not really. It’s so… sticky. The texture isn’t really my jam, I guess. But you go ahead and get it! I’d love to see you try and eat that, it’s bigger than your head.”
Showing her friend her tongue, she tugged her hand to invite her to continue walking. “Nah, that’s okay. I’m not too fond of the taste, I just think it’s fun to eat it.”
“Once again, I won’t be the one to stop you.”
“No, but you’ll be the one to take pictures of me with cotton candy stuck in my hair and blackmail me with them later.”
“Fair enough.”
They took a while to look at all of the available options, paying close attention to the other market attendees who walked past them holding any sort of food so as to make an informed decision. The ultimate winner was a stall frying beignets and sprinkling confectioner’s sugar on top. If the smell of deep-fried pastry alone wasn’t enough to draw them in, the look of utter pleasure in the faces of those who they saw eating them certainly was.
Their paying time took three times longer than it should, a result of both of them arguing about how they should be the one to pay for the other while the shopkeeper looked absolutely unamused. In the end, Kaisa won and paid for them both with the argument that Johanna had already driven them here, which meant that Johanna was already plotting every sort of plan to pay for their next meal.
At the centre of the square, a couple of benches were positioned around what would be a bonfire as soon as night fell, and they took a seat on an empty one. As they bit into their beignets, neither contained the hums of delight at the sweet, warm explosion in their mouths.
After a few bites in silence, because that was definitely the kind of food that was too good to talk while eating, Johanna gasped and reached into one of the bags she had acquired while in the market.
“You know what would taste great with this?” Before Kaisa could even think of an answer, she took her jar of honey from the bag and opened it. She offered it to Kaisa first, who dipped her pastry only just enough so that her next bite would taste of honey, and then promptly poured such an obscene amount of it on hers that it began to spill and drip down her fingers.
“Hm, this is so good.” Johanna moaned. While Kaisa was sure that she wasn’t tasting the honey as much as Golden, she would admit that it gave the beignet a delicious depth of flavour.
And then she looked at Johanna and completely lost all rational train of thought.
Her eyes were closed in appreciation and her head was leaning slightly back as she chewed. What captured her attention, however, was the drop of honey that had caught on the corner of her lip, and was painfully slowly making its way down to her chin.
If a human could blue-screen, Kaisa imagined that this was it.
What was the appropriate reaction to this? Probably telling her about it and giving her one of her own napkins, since Johanna would probably already be needing hers to clean her hands. Was this what her mind was telling her to do, though? Absolutely not, because the only thing her damn brain was working for at the moment was providing her with a very vivid imagery of how nice it would be to kiss that drop of honey away from her face and into her own mouth.
With her face most definitely red at the appalling thought and her hands suddenly clammy, Kaisa wished it wasn’t weird to shake your head violently in a public space (what? At least she’d get the feeling of shaking that thought far away from her) and acted on what was probably the middle ground between those two options.
Reaching up with one of her spare napkins, she allowed her hand to float just in front of Johanna’s face.
“May I?” She asked when Johanna opened back her eyelids and looked at the offer with open curiosity. At her nod, she wiped the honey away.
“Thanks.” If Johanna’s voice was several octaves higher, Kaisa didn’t comment on it. It wasn’t like she had the credit to do that, anyway. “This is… really good.”
“Yeah.” Kaisa bit into her food again with gusto, willing her mind to allow her to forget that moment of insanity. It wasn’t creepy if she hadn’t done anything inappropriate, right?
They finished eating and without even communicating seemed to agree on just sitting there with each other for a while. Johanna extended her legs in front of herself while Kaisa sat with one knee bent and foot close to her skirt, and the other leg extended towards Johanna.
“It just occurred to me that I do not, in fact, know much about the historical roots of Halloween.” The wind played with Johanna’s curls, making her bangs swing softly from side to side.
Kaisa snorted. “Are you sure you want to go there? Get me started and it’ll be hard to get me to stop, you know.”
“I’d love to go there, actually.” She smiled. “Anything you’d like to teach me, I’m all ears.”
Sighing contently was the only thing Kaisa could think to do, really. How long had it been since anyone other than Tildy and Frida had been ‘all ears’ to her? Not only to her interests, but to anything at all? Had that ever even happened?
“Well, you see, it is generally agreed that the Celts had three harvest festivals…”
Johanna wasn’t sure how long they spent there. She didn’t care, either. All that she knew is that she’d gotten this girl who she had spent months wondering if she even knew how to speak to give her a full lecture about a topic she was passionate about. She’d never even known she had the slightest interest in druids or roman cultural assimilation or the issue with the typical definition of a “celt”, but watching the muscles in Kaisa’s face move and hearing the pitches of her voice which were apparently unlocked when she was excited made Johanna decide that that was one of the coolest topics in the world, actually. She’d be sure to check out a book on it next time she was in the library, so she could actually hold a conversation with Kaisa next time she talked about it.
At one point, Kaisa stopped talking and looked around them, letting out a chuckle.
“We have to stop meeting like this.” She quipped, but Johanna didn’t understand it. The haze of tranquillity that had come over her when Kaisa had begun her monologue still lingered, and she struggled to pay attention to anything else.
“Hm?”
Kaisa pointed to the sky by means of explanation, and to Johanna’s surprise, it was no longer blue, but somehow orange, pink and purple at the same time. Hadn’t they arrived just past three o’clock, she wondered with startlement.
“It looks so pretty from here.” Johanna marvelled. Even those masterful watercolours they had seen paled in comparison to the real thing.
Kaisa’s gaze wandered back and forth from the sky to Johanna’s face, struggling to decide which was the better view. “It really does.”
They drank in the moment greedily, knowing it was impossible to drown on such a beautiful thing (and that if it were, they would go down gladly). The sounds were softer now that night was falling and most people had left, the colours were shifting as the sun bid goodnight and a market worker worked to light the bonfire in front of them. This time, unlike the garden, Johanna didn’t have to teach her how to appreciate the moment. She wouldn’t let this one go for anything.
The flames rose up in front of them, filling the autumn air with their warmth, and Johanna extended her hands towards them gladly.
“I disagree, you know.” She said, looking at Kaisa mischievously. “I don’t think we should stop meeting like this. I wouldn’t change this for anything at all.”
Neither would I, Kaisa thought, worried at this feeling that was settling in her chest even though it felt like it was too big to fit in it, worried about her carefully selected priorities that all seemed irrelevant in the face of all this peace. Neither would I.

I’m a cat! I’m a kitty cat!
AO3
Summary: The Midnight Burger crew wants to get a cat. Except Caspar. Cherry happens to work at an animal shelter and own a moped.
  It had been a slow day so far. As slow as a day at a shelter full of rambunctious animals could be anyways. Cherry was given front desk duty, which was the opposite reason why they had chosen to get their volunteer hours at an animal shelter. They wanted to spend time walking the dogs and petting the rabbits. They did not want to be sitting at a desk shuffling around the same papers wishing they had brought their holo-pad with them.
   “I am bored out of my mind,” they gestured to the desk’s holo-screen. “Also, I am literally not needed.” They complained to Terry who had just walked in. Terry was an alright guy, probably spent too much time at the shelter. But that would be hypocritical of Cherry considering they spend all their time at the shelter and are only a volunteer, while Terry got his salary from being there.
   “Don’t be silly, people love to see a real face and not just a screen.”
   “Uh huh.”
   “Well if you’re going to have that attitude-”
   “Terrance!” Someone else called out interrupting him. Terry gave a ”we’ll finish this later” look and disappeared into the back. The back, where literally anything enriching happens.
   “Ugh.” Cherry slumped back into their seat, they couldn’t even see over the top of the stupid desk. It was like being trapped in a lame version of the Colosseum. No matter how high they put the ancient office chair, the desk obscured their vision. So when a voice came out of nowhere Cherry startled and fell, hitting their head on the chair on the way down.
   “Are you okay?” What sounded like a concerned woman asked.
   “Yep, never better.” They grunted. Cherry stood all the way up, their platform boots thankfully making it so their head was past the desk.
   “How can I help you?” Cherry asked, people weren’t exactly their strong suit but they’d take anything to break the monotony right now.
   “I am looking to adopt a cat!” She said gleefully.
   “Uh yeah sure just scan your ID.” Cherry pointed towards the holo-screen at the front of the desk.
   “Oh uh…” The women looked slightly panicked. Cherry raised an eyebrow.
   “Yes an, um, my ID! Which I totally have!” She smiled with all teeth and no eyes before rummaging around in her tote bag.
   “There it is!” She said, slapping it onto the desk counter.
   “That’s a drivers license.” Cherry said while picking it up and looking at it.
   “Which is an ID?”
   “It says it expires in 2027.”
   “So..?”
   “Lady not to be rude but you do know it’s the year 3069, right?” Cherry asked, suddenly very much missing shuffling the same papers over and over again. There was an awkward silence.
   “Oh, hello miss, how may we help you?” It was Terry coming back to finish their talk, but now his button up shirt looked like it went through a battle, dirt streaked all over with little paw prints.
  “She wants to adopt a cat.”
   “Oh how wonderful, how about you show her the kitties Cherry?”
   “Ter-”
   “What, I thought you were bored out of your mind?” He asked while fruitlessly wiping his shirt with a tissue from the desk.
    “Fine.”
   “Righty-o.” Terry said and started to walk away. “I hope someone will find their furr-ever home.”
   “Boooooo!” Cherry yelled at him. The crazy lady, because of course she did, actually laughed at it.
“Follow me.” Cherry said emerging from behind the desk, hoping that she wasn’t about to be murdered.
   While some cats were still in crates they did have a room where the ones that were allowed to mingle could do exactly that. It was a place for the cats to get entertainment (Unlike the front desk Cherry bemused) and interact. It also served as a place where patrons could come in and chill with the cats and see if they connected with one.
   “Oh precious!” The woman exclaimed, her voice already rising several octaves. It was like this for a bit. The lady would ask about a cat and Cherry would answer, the routine let them let their guard down. Feeling less and less likely to end up in a casket. The presence of the cats also might have helped a bit with that. They were both sitting on the floor, a gray tabby named Hercules sprawled across Cherry’s legs. The lady sat crisscrossed with a ginger cat on her.
   “So what’s your name?”
   “That one is Pickles.”
    “Ah no I meant,” the lady turned to face them. “I meant your name.”
   “Cherry.”
   “Ah I see I thought the guy said Larry and you just don’t give me Larry vibes.”
   “Is it the hair?” Cherry joked pointing at their dreads that are dyed a bright red.
   “Nah, it’s your eyes, they’re the window to the soul.”
   “Cool.” Cherry said, petting Hercules.
   “I’m Gloria by the way.” She said before cooing at a cat who made its way over to them.    “Thanks, now I can call you something other than a crazy lady in my head.” Cherry said, making Gloria snort.
   “I just wanted to say thanks for not calling me out back there.” Gloria said, leaning back against the wall and unfolding her legs.
   “It’s hard to sneak out and get a cat especially when you're not born in this century.”
   “Oh c’mon you’re not that old.” Cherry said.
   “Hah, thanks.”
    Cherry, deciding to ignore the century comment, asked “You had to sneak out?”
   “Oh yeah, one of my friends, his name is Caspar, is determined not to get a cat, he says it’ll hate him.” Gloria chuckled.
   “He’s a dog person then?”
   “More like a pet rock person.” Cherry laughed so hard that it spooked the cats away. Except the ginger one who stayed curled up in Gloria’s lap.
   After perusing the cats in cages Gloria started to look a little anxious.
   “Hey, if you're worrying about making a choice we can put one on hold for you.” Cherry offered.
   “That’s sweet of you but I am afraid I have to,” Gloria pulled out a pocket watch and squinted at it, “make a decision in four hours.”
   “Um, okay.” Cherry said too bewildered by the pocket watch Gloria had pulled out to check on the time limit she apparently had.
   “My friend though, uh Leif, he’s the one I told you helped me sneak out, he’s going to be here soon and he’ll help me choose.” True to Gloria’s word, five minutes of looking at rabbits later a guy wearing an apron showed up looking disheveled.
   “Caspar is onto our bullshit so hard we have to act fast.”
    “Well let me tell you who I’ve found!” Gloria said already tugging Leif away toward the cats before Cherry could even unlock the door for them. Cherry sort of hovered around the two once they started talking. It was like watching professional ping pong as they talked through Gloria’s line up of felines.
   “But this guy?” Gloria said with a fondness in her voice that caught Cherry’s attention. She picked up a ginger cat who didn’t even bat an eye at being lifted into the air.
   “Is Pickles, it says he used to be an outdoor cat so I think that would also help him handle the diner.”
   “Diner?” Cherry asked at the same time Leif exclaimed “Seriously?!”
    “Hey,” Gloria said offensively, pulling Pickles closer to her chest “we could change the name, no need to be so harsh on the gatito.”
   “Gloria, that’s not a cat,” Leif looked at Cherry, “how did it even get in here?” Cherry startled a little, realizing Leif was asking them.
    “We got him, like, last week, some lady dropped him off, said it was a gift because we gave her a map of the city, she was nice but weird.”
   “Oh my God.” Gloria said.
    “What are the fucking odds?” Leif asked.
   “What’s happening?”
   “Uh, nothing at all, it’s just a small world is all, I think we know her.” Leif hurriedly explained. While Cherry could tell it wasn’t a lie, they could also tell there was a lot more hiding behind those words.
   “Should I be worried?”
    “No!”
    “Eh.”
Cherry looked over the two of them critically.
   “…Okay then, I guess you’re getting the Not-a-cat cat?”
   “Oh absolutely.”
   “Definitely.”
   Back at the desk Cherry was tip toeing in their boots to lean over the desk and point at what Gloria was supposed to click. Cherry didn’t blame her, the legal jargon also got to them too.
   “I’ll need that ID again to scan.” Cherry said. The dread filled Gloria’s eyes again like the first time.
   “I got ya covered.” Leif said and then loudly slammed an ID onto the desk. Cherry took it and sure enough it was a proper Saleieinsport City ID.
   “Huh.” Both Cherry and Gloria said at the same time. The rest of the process went smoothly. Cherry being thankful they were finally eighteen so they didn’t have to get “a legal adult” to sign off on everything. Now that they actually thought about it…
   “Hey, Gloria, you're my first adoption.”
   “Awe, really?”
   “Well, officially anyways, it just felt like something to say.” Cherry said leaning on the back of their heels.
   “Of course you should say it, that’s awesome!” Gloria exclaimed.
   “Yeah, congrats!” Leif agreed. Cherry could feel their cheeks blushing.
   “Let’s go get your Not-a-cat cat already.” Cherry said, ducking their head down to hide their face.
   Not-a-cat cat eagerly got into the travel crate when they set it down which made Cherry do a double take.
   “Did you guys open the crate?”
    “No?”
    “No, I told you that thing is not normal.”
     “Leif don’t call gatito a thing!”
    “No, I’m sorry Gloria but I agree with Leif here.” Cherry said while pointing their thumb at him. Gloria huffed and picked up the carrier, which the door to was also somehow closed. The walk to the parking lot felt forlorn to Cherry.
   “Well it was nice meeting you guys.”
   “Same to you Cherry.” Gloria beamed. Not-a-cat cat meowed.
   “Oh no, Gloria!
   “What is it, Leif?” They both turned to look at Leif who was glaring at the hover-bus schedule.
   “It says the next bus doesn’t come for three hours!”
   “Three hours?!” Gloria’s face sagged. “We don’t have that kind of time!”
   “Do you guys want a ride?” Both heads whipped towards Cherry.
   “You’d do that?” Leif asked.
   “I mean sure, my time ends in five minutes anyways.”  Cherry fiddled with the hem of their violet sweater, “and you guys have been pretty nice.”
   “Alright then let’s hitchhike!” Gloria exclaimed.
   “I think it’s carpooling.” Cherry chuckled.
   “Nah, hitchhiking sounds cooler anyways,” she brought the carrier up to her face “Isn't that right Pickles?”
    “Oh we’re definitely changing the name.” Leif said. Gloria scoffed.
   “I think it’s cute!”
   “Where's your ride?” Leif asked, rolling his eyes at Gloria.
   “It’s that one.”
   “Oh.”
   Gloria hung onto Leif for dear life.
   “Isn’t this illegal?!” Gloria yelled.
   “What?!” Leif yelled back. Cherry couldn’t even hear Gloria from the back of the hover-moped.
   “We don’t have helmets!” She tried to explain. But the wind and the hum of the magnets that made traffic airborne was louder than Gloria. That’s not even mentioning the honking that was happening as Cherry swerved around other cars.
   The Not-a-cat’s carrier was secured safely in the side cart. Which left the three adults to have to squeeze onto a single seat.
   Leif took the middle so he could guide Cherry to Midnight Burger. It was interesting trying to explain to Cherry why their Star Trek looking GPS wouldn’t work, but their urgency to get back before “closing” seemed to push aside any questions. At some point on the ride Gloria squeezed her eyes shut, so once they were safely parked in front of Midnight Burger she didn’t even realize it.
 “We’re here!” Leif said, prying Gloria’s hands off of him. “That’s going to bruise.”
 “Oh thank God!” A voice yelled from the door. “Do you know how hard it is to keep him distracted? I had to lock him inside the pantry! Get your asses in here!”
 “We’re coming, just hold on!” Gloria exclaimed, tumbling off the bike. Leif grabbed Pickles and booked it towards the diner, the diner that Cherry was looking at in fascination.
   “How long has this been here?” They asked Gloria.
   “This morning.” She repsonded sheepishly.
   “What-”
   “Thank you for all the help Cherry.” Cherry was about to repsond when someone else interrupted.
   “Gloria!” The woman from earlier yelled. Gloria turned and cupped her face.
   “Geez hold on Ava!” She looked back at Cherry with a big smile, her smile lines visible. Not fake like the one had been back at the animal shelter.
   “You’re a lifesaver.” She gave Cherry a bone crushing hug. Gloria let go and then started mad dashing for the diner, slamming against the door as she slid inside. Cherry simply stared, their chest feeling warm. When was the last time someone hugged them like that? They however didn’t get to ruminate on it for long. A loud warping sound started to fill the air. A bubbly fizz seeped into Cherry’s blood. The wind rustled. The negative space yawned like a cat. Then the diner was gone. Everything snapped back into place in less than a second. The sounds of the road magnets and a park nearby suddenly coming back into existence, they hadn’t even realized those sounds had left. Cherry dropped their helmet.
   “What the fuck.”

It’s interesting how Stefan and Elena deal with Damon’s death in similar ways. Stefan gave up on searching for Damon because he felt it was pointless and that he had to move on, so he “started over” in a new town, working for an asshole at a repair shop and dating a normal girl. He was punishing himself for giving up on Damon and that’s why he ignored his friends and wouldn’t let himself go back to Mystic Falls. He even let himself get mistreated by a boss he could easily compel. He was obviously ashamed and felt like a bad brother, but you can’t fault him for giving up. He was grieving. I can’t imagine what it’s like you lose your brother, especially one who you thought would live forever so you wasted so much time hating and resenting him. Like Stefan said, Damon was finally happy and had changed for the better when he died. He and Stefan had become close again too. It’s unfair, because, all those years, all Stefan had wanted was his brother back. He finally had him and thought he had decades left to make up for lost time yet lost him just like that. So, yeah, Stefan’s grief is worse than Elena’s because he has so many regrets and old wounds that were reopened by Damon’s death. There are so many things he said and did to Damon that he can’t take back and so much time they could’ve spent together had they not both been so stubborn. Regret and guilt are the worse - they destroy you completely.
But Elena handled Damon’s death a bit like Stefan. First, she had hope - in her case, it was more like denial - and she hallucinated Damon to cope, but, then, when she realized it wasn’t working (she almost killed people), she tried to start afresh and erase his memory - similar to Stefan, except she took it literally. It says a lot about Stefan though, and the magnitude of his grief, that he didn’t even try to discourage Elena from forgetting about his brother. He understood her completely.
I enjoyed the scenes where Ric compelled Elena. Seeing Stefan handle things just as badly as Elena made me understand her decision better. I thought Elena finally seemed like her old self, and looking back at her memories of Damon cleared up a lot of questions I had about their relationship. I didn’t buy into it 100%, but most of it made sense to me.
The first time Elena felt that Damon was sexy was in the Miss Mystic Falls pageant - this tracks because you can see her attraction for him in that scene; when she first met Damon she was “scared”, but a good scared, thrilled - this makes sense too because she’s remembering the real first time they met, when she was just a happy teenager who still had her parents and would naturally find a hot older guy exciting; when Damon and her first kissed she felt bad because of Stefan - true; when she kissed Damon at the motel she really wanted to kiss him - duh; she first found out she was in love with Damon when she learned about the sire bond, yet knew her feelings were real - again, true. All of this is true, yet sort of erases every bad thing Damon did when she was with Stefan and how confused she was by Damon and by her feelings for him. However, the girl lost her boyfriend, so she wouldn’t be thinking about their rocky past - none of that is relevant in the face of his death and her grief.
What’s really interesting though, is the memory that is apparently the key to erasing all her feelings for Damon: the real first time she knew she loved Damon. She denied her feelings for Damon all throughout season 3 so it makes sense she wouldn’t want to admit to when she actually started having feelings for him. Like Caroline said, we all know they started when she was in love with Stefan, and Elena is a very faithful person who really loved Stefan and didn’t mean to fall for Damon too. However, I thought Elena first realizing she was in love with Damon at her 18th birthday party was a bit of reach. But I think the phrasing is key here: she fell for him “in that moment”. Elena said Damon had never been as selfless as when he gave her Stefan’s necklace back, even though it stung, just because he loved her and knew what the necklace meant for her - hope, protection, her connection with Stefan. Elena was obviously moved at the time, as she was every time Damon showed his selfless side, or proved to be someone she could rely on. Elena is very loyal, like I said, and I think she felt attracted to Damon in season 3 because he was also loyal and devoted to Stefan.
Regardless, I don’t honestly think she fell in love with Damon so early in the season, and the writers might have been retconning their relationship a bit to make it look more epic. Because it's hard to believe Elena realized she loved Damon, and that her love scared her, as far back as the first episode of season 3. Even if it was only in that moment, and something she subsequently erased from her mind, Elena didn’t seem at all scared at the party and didn’t even try to push Damon away - and we know she would’ve had she felt for even a second that she loved Damon (she did it in later episodes). I’ll just choose to interpret her words differently. “In that moment” (as she emphasized), Elena loved Damon, I would say platonically more than romantically, yet those feelings of attraction, which she could at least readily admit to having, flared up when Damon gave her the necklace, and that scared her. I think this makes much more sense from Elena’s pov.
Okay, I’m done now.

Here fam have some background things to have for whenever I do get to the oc fics in terms of like Canon add-ons / changes bc fuck it why not go full out because ahahahaha. these will be shown in better detail with the prequel fic but also I'm slow, we're hitting the busy season at work and I just wanna blab about the oc stuff so this is a good way to set up background bc a lot of thought went into this bw me and my friends
Raphael is about 2-3 years younger than Cecelia and Maddox. When he was found on the island, Cecelia had maybe a couple months left alive.
The Guardians he had were originally part of a game / story that Max had set up for all of the kids in the family to play together, mostly as a means of keeping Cecelias spirits high. I'm also now realizing Eatos probably did in fact take inspiration from his mother and now I am Sad.
Max's parents had their own business and they weren't really as interested in Max or you know anything about their son. So he really did latch onto Cecelias family as his own. They also passed away on the Harmonia.
Mason, Kat and Cecelias father, was longtime friends with Alisters parents and they were considered to be members of the family as much as the Griffins were. However, everything that happened with them getting in the war torn country and then Alister becoming the lone survivor started after Miruko/Mikey was only 2.
Raphael is related through the family because his mother and Kat and Cecelias mother Evangeline were first cousins.
There is in fact a family tree and there have been discussions between me and Kohaku about all of the family bc we love them your honor.
The first Duel Monsters tournament happens when Kat is about 10-11 and its also low key the first time Seto ever sees her and one of his goals is to meet her because he's got a puppy crush. Then they meet a couple years later and it's just rivalry. Straight up ready to Duel whenever and wherever.
Evangeline and Gozaburo also ran in similar circles and thought highly of each other and if that doesn't tell you everything you needed to know about Kats mom idk what will. She didn't get to be around the Kaiba boys as much, though, usually they were too busy not really paying attention to their children (except Cecelia in Evies case), Kat and Cecelia didnt attend many parties (esp with Cecelias health and Kat doesn't like crowds and Mason didnt want them around a bunch of snooty assholes), and she only has a vague memory of a teal haired kid at a party or two but wouldn't be able to say "oh, yeah, Gozaburo had a kid before Seto and Mokuba".
The only reason they were even at the one Cecelia met Max at was because of family obligations for it.
The Big 5 are the literal worst. Just. Just all the time. Don't trust anything they do or say.
Especially not Nesbitt or Johnson.
I do also have their family dynamics figured out and also how Nesbitt spent years gaslighting Meredith in their affair about his relationship with his wife he tried to tell her he was divorcing. It's a whole mess.
Iris and River meet Seto and Mokuba about two months after they were adopted.
Seto takes over the company at the age of 13, Gozaburo still does the window thing and Seto transforms KaibaCorp into a successful gaming company.
Roland had been working for the family since probably Noa was alive but he was under strict rules to not discuss him after his death, if we go that route. He looked out for Seto and Mokuba and he and Meredith got close because they were both trying to find ways to help the brothers and give them the life they deserve and then they fell in love and are adorable.
Seto gets the Blue Eyes cards by whatever means he can, usually in feats of his own strength and has them all by the time he enters his first tournament three months after he becomes KCs president.
Death-T probably won't happen which sucks cause it's my favorite. But it's because Seto has people who would very much hold him back from doing something in that nature and offer him a bit more stability. But he's still. He's still very much Kaiba he still rips up the 4th Blue Eyes and gets smug and super competitive and makes bad calls and Iris wants to strangle him. But if he had tried to spend 8 billion yen to murder one (1) fucking teenager, Iris would have thrown him into the sun and River would have helped.
Nana and Yugi moved in with their grandparents when they were very young and their parents aren't really in the picture. Their grandma passed away when Nana was 15 and it was really sad for them all.
Nana once attempted the Puzzle but didn't get as attached and focused on it as her brother did and has been cheering him on.
Yugi solves the Puzzle when he's 15 or 16 and then the events of the manga play out.
The gang will be 17ish by the time Duelist Kingdom pans out or are turning 17/18.
Miho and Tomoya will be featured more prominently and as proper members to the gang and show up throughout the series with Joey, Tea, and Tristan. Ryou will also be getting more focus.
I'll have more when my brains not tired.

Actually your analysis reminds me of a couple things
1. Nathan’s locus of control; he’s spent his whole life being controlled by others that even having control of just his life doesn’t feel like enough when he gets it. That combined with how he’s been raised to “change the world” or whatever leads me to believe that he only feels like he’s the one in control if he’s controlling others’ lives as well. He can’t give himself mental breakdown bangs alone, he has to drag someone else along (such as Claire in s3), and then he acts almost surprised when the other people involved don’t like the results.
2. Nathan’s identity/lack thereof/lack of awareness of it. If Nathan’s got a true self, I think it’s hidden WAAAAY down deep, so deep down that even he doesn’t know where or what it is. This leads him to “not know” who he is without his family or others to tell him. So repressed that his surface-level brain doesn’t even know what gay is.
3. You know, you’re right that this man spends basically every episode of this show utterly in the trenches, with vibes resembling a cat that fell into the bathtub.
4. All that said, I think part of why I feel the way I do about Nathan is a factor of timing. When I got into Heroes, I was at a stage of processing/healing from my own childhood emotional neglect that involved deliberately NOT sympathizing with a parent’s plight and instead prioritizing whether the child is having their needs met, because a lot of my CEN trauma came from not wanting to put a burden on my mom due to her own problems. Thus, I’m super sensitive to when fictional kids are going through CEN. So first, I was like, put off by Nathan’s jerky persona, and then I was seeing all the ways that Claire, Monty, and Simon weren’t having their needs for support and validation met just- white hot rage on their behalf tbh. Like yeah Claire DOESN’T have reason to trust him at the end of S1, yeah she DOES have the right to be disappointed in him during S3!! And yeah okay maybe she cuts him “too much slack imo” in Mexico, but that’s probably more of a “I’m trying to have a relationship with you” thing than an “actually I do believe you can 100% fix this” thing.
I guess all this is why I’m more inclined to point and laugh at Nathan personifying the Ben Affleck Smoking meme than to sympathize, but I really appreciate the conversation— did a lot to help me understand the ins and outs of how he personifies said meme!
Completely fair tbh - we all bring our own experiences and perceptions etc to everything really. I guess in the context of the show Simon and Monty are such non-characters that the show basically just forgets they exist, and so do I a lot of the time lol (not to be callous, the show just doesn’t bother to do anything with them lol). I see what you mean 100% though, although I think in the very few scenes we do have it seems like he is genuinely good with his kids, or wants to be (Claire saying he wants to be a good person in Into Asylum is very astute) - it’s very open to interpretation, although I think Nathan is just like, bad at giving his full emotional self to anybody, lol. He’s fuckin broken. A shell of a man. With Claire, I think he means it when he’s like, I missed out on all this time with you and now you’re grown up and idk how I even fit in your life now. He did Severely Fuck Up (and you’re right that he ends up dragging others into his personal trauma spiral lol) but I do love their scenes in Mexico just bc I think both of them really *want* to have a relationship but don’t rly know how to yet and Claire is. Just so good to him and they both break my heart :( I think it’s so sad how he literally thought she was dead for most of his life too. Has to fuck someone up. Not that that’s an excuse but eh. Idk. He’s just like a sad wet cat to me. I love him whether or no. Lol

𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬:
𝐒𝐲𝐩𝐧𝐨𝐬𝐢𝐬: You worried too much. That was what he always told you when you brought up a nasty feeling in the pit of your stomach. Sometimes you were right though, and that’s proven when the two of you run into him during your drifting session.
𝐀/𝐍: I’m literally in love with this gif. In-fucken-love. Also, sorry this request took me yonks, I’m back on my bullshit where I literally forget that writing is a thing that I do and love? So yeah, it ain’t much but it’s honest work.
Tumblr media
Cars had never been something of interest to you.
Obviously when you saw a decent car you could stop to appreciate it, but other than that you never noticed the hype about them. Your family hadn’t brought you up with cars, none of your friends had ever been into them, and the one girl you hated throughout high school who thought she was ‘not like the other girls’ had never shut up about them.
So yeah, they never caught your interest.
It wasn’t until you had a gap year in Japan, traveling the world and meeting new people, that you finally started to notice them, admire them, and grow a passion for them after the first proper job you could find in Tokyo was working in some bar by a garage.
Listening to them, looking at them, seeing the adoration in their owners faces every time they looked at their cars, whether it was a Supra or a Civic.
That was how you met him.
Han was mysterious at first and never really opened up to you, but the more drunk nights he spent sitting in front of you while you slid him bottles of corona across the rustic bar top the more he opened up to you.
The two of you bonded and grew closer, gradually transitioning from just talking at the bar to actually going out together and spending time with one another, not that the two of you would ever admit they were dates.
You learnt all about his past, his family, despite him telling you how afraid he was you would leave him for it. But you proved him wrong, and now some two years later the two of you were still together.
“You comin’?” He called out as he carefully shut the door of the s15. ‘Mona Lisa’ as Twinkie liked to call it.
“I dunno, I just...” You trailed off as you got in beside him, also careful to shut the door knowing you would never hear the end of it if you slammed it. “I have a bad feeling about tonight.”
Han’s eyes widened and he turned in his seat to face you.
“Baby we do this like every week.” He reassured you, his voice soft. “We’ll be fine.”
“Yeah I know but like, it’s just this feeling in my stomach.” You tried to explain.
“Y/n, you’ve had a stressful month with work and everything. You’ve been worrying about everything, and this is a time for you to just let go and relax.” He placed his hand on your knee. “We’re gonna be fine. Promise.”
You swallowed and nodded, pushing down your anxiety.
Han was right, it had been a crazy stressful month for you with your job, you had been busting your ass off for a promotion, and when you finally got it you realized just how many new responsibilities you had.
Sitting passenger with Han while the two of you went drifting up some mountain or along some abandoned road somewhere was one of your favorite things to do, and of course it would relax you rather than worry you even more.
“You’re right.” You smiled, placing your hand over his. “Let’s go.”
As much as you had convinced yourself that the two of you would be fine, throughout the drive you couldn’t help but feel the anxiety creep back into the pits of your stomach.
A grin made it’s way onto your face as the two of you find a familiar road a good half hour or so from the city.
You close your eyes as Han drives, drifting perfectly, loving the feeling and just leaving your worries behind. You were also exhausted, and it was only just now hitting you as your coffee was wearing off.
You had almost thought you were about to fall asleep when Han slammed the breaks, jolting you awake.
“What the-” You began to ask but he cut you off.
“Stay in the car.”
You watched, mouth agape as he left you alone in the Silvia, walking in front of the car to a parked 350Z on the other side of the road, and your eyes widened at the familiar face who was also getting out of the car.
DK.
You watched, your heart beating faster and faster until it was almost going through your chest as the two men argued, occasionally giving the other a shove to the chest.
You watched as Han said something to DK, clearly pissing him off and turning around to walk back to you.
Your breath stopped as you watched DK pull something out of his waistband, pointing it at Han.
Panicked, you opened the car door and stormed out, ignoring the bite of the icy air as you stared down the man in front of you.
“Put the fucking gun down before I call the cops.” You said harshly, your voice cold and calm despite your erratic heart beat and breathing.
He scoffed at you, glancing up and down at your figure with an impressed grin on his face, licking his lips much to Han’s dismay.
“I control the cops princess. But nice try.”
“No, that’s your uncle DK.” You said, crossing your arms over your chest. “And last time I checked, your last meeting with him didn’t go too great.”
His face fell at that.
“So put the fucking gun down or you’re going to have a huge damn problem.”
Begrudgingly, he stuck it into his pocket, placing his hands up in mock surrender as you turned and walked back to the car, Han following silently with one last dirty look at him.
“Hey!” DK called out to the two of you as you were about to slide into the passenger seat. “Next time your girlfriend won’t be around to help!”
“Just get in the car.” You whispered to Han, answering DK with a loud door slam even though it killed you.
Han followed suit, the two of you sitting in silence until DK’s car had long disappeared.
“Don’t say it.” He said as you opened your mouth to speak.
“I told you so.”

study buddies || k.mg x reader
Pairing: frat!mingyu x fem reader
Summary: studying for midterms with the guy you’re hooking up with goes exactly how you’d expect
Warnings: swearing, light smut (18+)
Word Count: 1.6k
a/n: reworked this old blurb originally posted on my tom holland fic account ( @wazzupmrstark ) for my gf’s birthday :)) happy birthday @hotgirlmingyu
Masterlist
You woke up to banging on your apartment door. Groaning, you rolled over to check your phone and saw that it was six am. You pushed yourself up and out of bed and padded into the kitchen to answer the door. You were surprised the relentless knocking hadn’t woken up your roommate, but she was a pretty heavy sleeper.
You yanked the door open to see Mingyu with a handful of textbooks. You squinted at him in confusion, wondering if you were seeing things. Mingyu had never been to your place before, you didn’t even know he knew where you lived.
His appearance startled you a bit. His hair was messy where it was usually slicked back or styled and he was wearing gray sweatpants and a white t-shirt. You didn’t think you’d ever seen him in anything other than khakis and a douchey printed shirt.
“What are you doing here?” you asked, rubbing your eyes.
He frowned. “You said we should study for midterms together.”
You thought back to the last time you’d seen Mingyu. You couldn’t remember saying anything like that.
“Was I drunk?”
“Probably.”
“So why are you here?”
“To study. You agreed that we could help each other out.”
“Mingyu, I don’t even remember agreeing to that.”
“Well I’m already here,” he said and pushed past you into your apartment.
“Seriously? It’s Saturday.”
“Yeah, and midterms are next week.”
“Couldn’t you have waited until the sun was up?” you grumbled, mostly to yourself and shut the door behind him.
“We’ve got a lot of material to cover.”
You cursed under your breath as you watched him set up at your kitchen table, knowing you should probably study even though you desperately wanted to go back to bed.
You and Mingyu had met at a party at his fraternity and woke up the next morning tangled in the sheets of his bed. To say it was awkward would have been an understatement. You didn’t think you’d ever see him again, but to your horror, you saw him in your stats lecture on Monday and your mythology class on Thursday. This was a pretty big university. Why did the same asshole have to be in two of your classes?
As much as it annoyed you, you couldn’t stop thinking about Mingyu, and apparently, he was having a similar dilemma because every time you went out he seemed to be there, and every time you hooked up.
That was the extent of your relationship, though. You didn’t even speak to each other in class or at parties. The only time you talked was behind closed doors when one or both of you was naked. Even then you kept your guard up because you refused to let yourself fall for a frat boy with commitment issues who never wanted to be seen with the same girl twice. A boy who wouldn’t even talk to you in public.
But you couldn’t ignore the way your heart fluttered when he said your name as he was about to cum, or the way his lips felt against yours. He could be a total dick, but you’d also seen a softer side of him that he didn’t show many people. You forced yourself to forget about that side. It was easier that way.
“Okay, what are we starting with?” you asked with a sigh.
“We have the stats exam first, we should work on that.”
You made a face. Statistics was the harder out of the two for you. In fact, it was the hardest class you were taking this semester.
“I can’t believe I’m doing math before seven am.”
“You won’t be complaining when you ace the midterm,” he quipped, already working on a practice worksheet.
You watched him solve problems like he was checking items off a list. You knew he was good at statistics, but you didn’t know he was that good. Figures, a guy like him was good at pretty much everything. Everything except mythology apparently, because once you’d switched to that he was flustered and frustrated. You would quiz him on myths only for him to get every single question wrong.
“Mingyu, did you even read any of these?” you asked, pinching the bridge of your nose.
“Yes, y/n, I read every one. How do you think I passed all the reading quizzes?”
“Cheating?” it slipped out before you could stop it and Mingyu gave you a hard glare. You held up your hands defensively. “Just a joke.”
“I don’t think it was.” He licked his lips. “But for what it’s worth I read them all. I just can’t keep them straight.”
You sighed. You felt bad, but you were getting frustrated too. And not just because Mingyu wasn’t grasping the myths. This was the longest you’d ever spent together (at least while you were awake) and you hadn’t even had sex. He just smelled so nice and looked so cute when he was concentrating that you couldn’t help feeling a little impatient. You had been at it for hours, you thought you would’ve done it at least once by now. But Mingyu was more serious about studying than you thought. It was kind of admirable and kind of annoying.
“Okay well reread through the Egyptian myths and I’ll quiz you again.”
“Alright.”
He pulled out his reading packet and flipped to the section you took out your phone and scrolled through social media mindlessly as he read, but it quickly got boring. You wished Mingyu would take a break so he could rail you. He was still reading intently, but you figured a little distraction couldn’t hurt.
You started by taking your hair down from your bun and shaking it out so that it fell around your shoulders. You knew your shampoo drove Mingyu crazy and hoped it would have an effect on him today. He shifted his seat, but didn’t look up from the packet. Next, you leaned over and rested your head on his shoulder. You’d never done something so domestic like this with Mingyu, but it seemed to work because he cleared his throat and adjusted his sweatpants.
“You know you could be working on math.”
You shrugged. “We already did stats for hours today. I think I’ll jump off a bridge if I look at one more differential equation.”
He fell silent and tried focusing back onto the reading, but you moved your hand to his thigh and kept it there as you continued to through twitter, not even reading what was on your screen.
“Stop that,” Mingyu muttered, making you jump a little.
“Why?”
“Fuck, because you’re distracting me. You look too hot right now.”
“I’m wearing pajamas.”
“I really don’t care. You still look hot and I’m trying not to fuck you senseless right now.”
“Well what’s stopping you?” you asked lowly and nipped at his ear.
“Need to finish this,” he replied through gritted teeth.
“I can’t convince you to take a break?” You moved the hand on his leg up so that you were cupping him over his pants.
He shook his head. “After.”
You leaned over and kissed his neck, then his jaw, and felt him get hard under your hand. “If I have to stop what I’m doing you won’t be able to walk for the next week.”
“That sounds like more of a motivator than a deterrent,” you admitted. “I’ll suck you off,” you offered and hooked your thumb in the waistband of his sweats, trying to bribe him.
“If you let me finish I’ll eat you out,” he countered.
You straightened up. It sounded like a pretty good deal.
“Fine.”
A few minutes passed in silence and you were waiting patiently, typing up a rough draft of an essay you had due for another class when Mingyu groaned.
“What?” you asked, wondering if he needed help.
“Can you please stop that?”
“Stop what? I’m literally doing nothing.” You were genuinely confused now.
“Just- I don’t know you’re making it so hard to concentrate.”
“Am I making it hard?” You smirked.
“Very funny.”
“Would it help if I put a paper bag over my head?”
“Probably.”
“Come on, keep reading about Osiris.”
“I don’t want to read about Osiris anymore, he’s a dick.”
“The faster you finish the faster you can get off.”
“I thought you didn’t want to wait,” Mingyu pointed out, trying to deflect.
“I think I recall something about you going down on me if I let you finish reading.”
“Fine,” he grumbled, but didn’t turn back to the book. Instead, he continued to gaze at you with those big brown eyes. You couldn’t tell what he was thinking.
“What?” You felt your cheeks get warm.
“I just really want to kiss you right now.”
You smiled and raised your chin, challenging him. “Then do it.”
He leaned forward and pressed his lips to yours. You closed your eyes and kissed him back, savoring the moment.
When you pulled away, Mingyu’s eyes were dark with want and you could see that he was now fully hard in his sweatpants.
“How about I eat you out now anyway?” He suggested, leaning forward to kiss your neck.
You moaned and brought your hands to his hair.
“You trying to bribe me?”
“Is it working?”
“Fuck yeah.”
Mingyu stood and picked you up from your chair. You wrapped your legs around his waist again. He pulled on your bottom lip with his teeth and smirked.
“Promise you’ll finish studying after?” you asked.
He considered it. “Does what we’re about to do count as studying mythology? Because it’s going to be legendary.”
You scrunched up your face in distaste. “No, I take it back. Put me down.”
Mingyu grinned. “Hey! You know no ones gives it to you as good as I do.”
“That confident are you?”
His grin turned into a smirk. “Is that a challenge?”
lmk what you think i always appreciated feedback!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You had lived in your building for about 10 months now and you had not gotten to know anyone quite like you have gotten to know Aaron Hotchner.
He lived in the apartment across from you and it had taken you a while to “un freeze” him is the term you like to use. You later learned he wasn’t quick to trust people because of his history and the fact that he was an agent for the FBI. Unit Chief of the BAU to be exact.
There was no doubt that Aaron was undeniably attractive. Tall dark and handsome with a side of badass to match. He was the definition of “tall glass of water”. However the two of you had grown close over the last few months so despite you’re feelings you didn’t want to lose him. Having him around was better than not having him around right?
You and Aaron were dating people and one night the two of you met after you had a really bad date with a jerk who spent most of his time staring at your chest rather than your eyes. It seemed Aaron had the same experience on his own date. “She asked how much I make a year” he told me. You scoffed why would she be interested in what he makes when he is so hot he makes you drool.
That night the two of you had made an agreement to meet up after a date to talk through your experience. It made you have a sinking feeling though seeing him looking that good for someone else.
**Aarons POV**
Watching Y/N come back from dates was getting harder. Realising I had feelings for her was really hard. Beth and I had been broken up for two weeks when she first moved in. I was taking Jack home from soccer practice when I noticed her moving frames and stuff into the lobby of our apartment. I asked if she needed any help and she enlisted the help of Jack and I to move the last remaining bits to her apartment and that’s where we hit it off.
We became fast friends and I fell for her even faster. She was so pretty like the type of princesses I read about to Jack. Long dark hair and pretty green eyes and sharp cheekbones. She stood at 5’5 so I spent majority of the time looking down at her which just made her seem so angelic when she looked at me and smiled. I had it bad.
*normal pov*
You were standing in your local coffee shop when you literally ran into a man, spilling your coffee all over him. He was understanding and introduced himself as Nick. He seemed pretty nice and you two got to talking. He was attractive and wore a long trench coat. He asked if you would like to go out. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary yet.
*Aarons POV*
I had seen Y/N in the coffee shop near our apartment this morning and I was about to go in but seen her talking to a guy. He was closer to her age even though the age gap between us was only about 7 years but I was still thought the old broken widow and someone as free and pretty as Y/N would never be interested in someone like me.
I later learned his name was Nick and Y/N had said she’d text me if the date wasn’t going too well to get to wine ready. She didn’t text…
*Back to Normal POV*
The date with Nick actually went well. He was kind and interesting but there was something off that you just couldn’t quite place yet but you decided to stop holding back and go out on another date with him.
It was Friday night and Aaron had asked over for Dinner with him and Jack. Jack was adorable and seeing Aaron with him made you feel warm inside. On top of everything he was an excellent father.
You knocked on the door to be greeted by Jack.
“Y/N! Come in! I want to show you my new Lego piece I built with dad” he greeted you jumping up and down.
“Okay Yeah Buddy show me” you said walking into the apartment greeting Aaron who was at the stove and heading towards Jacks room.
“Wow Jack, that’s impressive it must have taken you so long to build that” you exclaimed.
“Yeah it did, do you like my dad?” He said suddenly.
“What do you mean Jack?” You replied shocked
“My Dad likes you…I think. I see him looking at you a lot and he gets all smiley when you are here. He was like that with Beth and he was like that with my Mom” Jack said staring off.
Jacks mom. There was pictures of Hayley in the apartment. Aaron had told you what happened to her and you felt an intense amount of sorrow that someone as beautiful as he was had to go through something so awful. You then remembered the part of Jack saying “he was like that with Beth”. You felt a sinking feeling in your stomach. He wasn’t interested even if he was he was probably just trying to get over Beth and you were not that type of girl despite how much you liked Aaron.
“Jack I like your Dad, a lot. He’s a good friend to me” you replied.
It was left at that as Aaron had called the two of you to dinner.
“So Y/N how are things going with Nick” he asked taking a sip of wine.
“Oh good so far. He’s really kind and actually interested in what I have to say unlike some of the other guys I have been out with.
“Anything on that horizon for you, Aaron?” You asked being mindful of Jack
“No I’ve just been so busy with work and Jack. I hardly have anytime” he replied.
“Don’t you miss that companionship, like the feeling of having someone there who you can also “colour” with” you implied a smirk.
“No I guess not, well I have you and you’re pretty nice to look at” he flirted.
You almost choked.
“You’re not too bad yourself, Agent Hotchner.” You replied.
You almost thought you saw Aarons eyes darken but you just put it down to the wine.
The three of you finished dinner and pretty soon Jack was off to bed.
“Look I better get going. Nick is taking me out on a day date tomorrow” you said after helping wash up.
“Oh well I hope you have fun, I’ll be here after if you want to call in” he replied almost in a somber tone.
“Thanks Aaron, Goodnight” you smiled.
Nick had taken you out to the local cafe, the first thing you noticed about him was his style. He was trendy, not the typical type you were into but you decided a change up might be good. He was wearing the long trench coat you could’ve sworn it was a woman’s coat but you digress.
“So how has life in the city been treating you” he asked taking a sip of coffee.
Oh I’ve been here for about 10 months now and it feels like I discover new things about the city every day. You replied.
Have you found a new hair dresser yet? He asked smiling?
“Eh. No Why” you said back.
“Oh nothing, just looks like you’re hair could do with a good treatment….no offence just any other girl I’ve dated I’ve made sure they’ve kept on top of all that kind of thing.” He said as if he saw nothing wrong with the words coming out of his mouth.
“I just haven’t gotten around to it yet” you say noticing out of the corner of your eye Aaron entering the coffee shop. You make eye contact.
“Hey Y/N and you must be Nick, Y/N was telling me how it was nice to meet new people in the city.” He smiled.
“Yeah and you are?” He replied with a scoff.
“Im Aaron, Y/Ns neighbour and friend” Aaron replied in a friendly tone.
You watched Nicks expression deepen even further in disgust. What the hell was his problem.
“Don’t you think you’re a little too old to be friends with someone Y/Ns age”
“Why do you think that” Aaron asked and you could tell he was profiling him.
“Dude you could be our father” he laughed looking directly at you.
“Wow, Nick. You are out of line.” You said standing up angrily.
Wow Y/N didn’t peg you for the type of gal with Daddy issues but okay” he scoffed.
“I think you should leave” Aaron said squaring his shoulders.
“Dude, she’s not worth it, I was just gonna screw her and ignore her afterward” he got up and went to leave.
Aaron went to lunge for him.
“Wait Aaron No, please he’s not worth it” you said standing in between them grabbing his shoulders and staring into his eyes. Nick left soon after.
You guys went back to your apartment. You were so humiliated that Aaron had seen Nick treat you like that. Tears started to spring to your eyes as soon as you entered the apartment.
“I’m so sorry you had to see that” you sniffled.
Aaron sighed from behind you.
“Y/N in what world was that your fault that is not how you should be treated” he faced you and grabbed your shoulders.
“I knew something was off when I seen him in that trench coat, oh well another one bites the dust” you laughed making light of the situation
“You know I’m gonna miss Trenchcoat Nick, he was pretty great” Aaron sniggered
“It was a woman’s coat”you giggled and yawned consecutively
“Goodnight Aaron” you say touching his arm
You went to turn away when Aaron grabbed you and gave you the most powerful kiss you’ve ever had. He moved his hands all over your body ending with a few short pecks.
“I was thinking something like that” he said pressing his forehead against yours.
Your heart was beating so fast you couldn’t even think straight. The feeling of Aarons lips on yours was clouding every sense you had.
“Aaron -I” you stuttered.
“Fuck it” you said grabbing Aaron’s face and crashing his lips to yours. The two of you stumbled through your apartment. Aaron picked you up and you wrapped your legs around his waist. He approached your bedroom door and kicked it lightly open all while holding you. God this man was a Greek god.
He placed you on the bed. He took a minute to look at you as if asking you for consent.
“Aaron, I’ve wanted this since the first moment you smiled at me” you gazed at him.
“You’re so beautiful” he whispered kissing down your body removing your clothes as he did so.
You’re wearing too many clothes Hotchner” you pulled at his top. He grabbed it from behind his head and pulled it off. God could this man get any more hotter. He removed his trousers and boxers in one go revealing his impressive length to you.
“Aaron, I’ve never been with anyone that big before what if —
“It’ll fit baby don’t worry” he smirked.
He ran his hands down your body to the place you wanted him most he placed two fingers in between your folds and ran them up along the length of your slit.
You moaned almost obscenely loud.
“Ssssh Pretty Girl, don’t want to get a noise complaint do we” he laughed.
“Aaron please just…” you gasped when you felt the tip of his cock line up with your entrance. He thrust all the way in and back out before setting a bruising pace. This was definitely the best sex of your life. You were already on the verge of orgasm he thrusted a few more times before everything went white you almost saw stars. You were exhausted.
“Cmon sweet girl, just one more for me” his thrusting was changing letting me know he was on the verge of climax. He brought his fingers to your clit rubbing in circles and you did what he asked came once again he came at the same time both of your cum mixing together. Aaron moved off to the side careful not to crush you and you both lay there panting.
“I’m so glad you got rid of Trench Coat Nick” he laughed.
God, so were you.
He hit me and it felt like a kiss He hit me and I knew he loved me If he didn't care for me I could have never made him mad But he hit me and I was glad
You were still very young when you learned that love was nothing like the cheesy romances you’d see on the big screen. Well, you didn’t actually have the money to go to the movies, but sometimes you found the way to sneak in and watch whatever was there to watch. You had a fascination for those stories, for those dancing images on the screen. They were made of pure light. Literally. While everyone was caught in the enchantment of the movie, you were the one to look behind your back and follow the light beam up until its source, looking straight at the small window from which the projector created the whole illusion of life before your eyes.
Most people want to escape from reality. They want to feel like their life has meaning, like it is just one plot twist away from being interesting. I didn’t. Maybe I should have, since mine was pretty shit. But I guess this was the whole reason why I was looking for the disenchantment. It’s like watching a magician. I’ve always been the type to be more observant, to look for the trick. Cause if there wasn’t any, then it would have meant that mine was the only pointless existence.
No one in your block had a penny to their names. Everyone dreamed of going away, of starting a new life and do something meaningful. But you knew that most of them would never make it. They were trapped.
We think of the key, each in his prison. Thinking of the key, each confirms a prison.
Those weren’t your words. They were Jungkook’s. Well, not his own words, actually. He had read them somewhere. He was the type to read, although he didn’t look like it at all. And you know how people who read are: they are good with words. They can shape reality with just a flick of their tongue. And damn if he got a way with words! That’s why you fell for him.
It wasn’t just the fact that he got the looks of an angel. He also talked like one. He could talk his way in and out of everything and you were pretty sure he could lie his way into heaven if he wanted to. He was an exceptional liar, a pathological one too. But you loved him anyway.
You believed him when he told you that he was going to turn your life upside down. Why wouldn’t you? He had already done it more times than you could count. He had done it since the day you first met in that dark movie theatre. You had always believed him and everything he said. He was the only man you ever loved, the first and the last you had sex with, and eventually the one you married.
He reminded you of your father. They had the same dangerous charm. Their eyes gleamed with the same light: that of a man who was willing to con the whole world and make it his own. Your father didn’t make it, though. He became a drunk mess and ended up in prison for attempted murder.
Only a pathetic fuck goes to jail for attempted murder. Either you go down for murder, or you don’t go down at all. That’s how much of a failure he was.
But you didn’t care about him. He used to beat your mother whenever he felt like it. Jungkook, on the other hand, never did that.
So, when he told you those words – “the less you know, the better” – you didn’t question him. You just believed him. And when he came home with a bag full of money and his hands covered in blood, you still didn’t question him. You just did as he asked and bent over the kitchen table to let him fuck you senseless.
You really didn’t care about what he did. Everyone in your block was somehow entangled with criminal activities. That’s just how it is when you can’t afford an honest life. What if he robbed a bank? What if he killed someone to get that money? So what? You’d love him anyway. You’d love him no matter what.
You still loved him when you heard the sirens wailing through the block and stop outside your shared house. You didn’t care about the fact that he just ripped your marriage into pieces. You always knew he was an Icarus.
“Don’t worry, baby. I’ll be home for dinner.” He told you with a cocky smirk, while being pushed inside the police car.
And again, you believed him.
He was the only magician who ever managed to deceive you into thinking that his was actual magic and not just a trick. But when the jury found him guilty of aggravated robbery and murder, you felt like the lights had gone off and the curtain closed on his magic show. It was over. And now you were left standing in a sad empty circus, with just the distant music of the carousel to remind you of the fact that it was all a rouse. A convincing one for sure, but still a rouse.
When you saw him being taken away from the trial, you thought about those words he told you years before.
We think of the key, each in his prison. Thinking of the key, each confirms a prison.
And you smiled to yourself. Somehow, even though your whole life had just gone to pieces, you found them ironic. Who would have thought, back then, that he would end up in an actual prison? Not you for sure.
Tumblr media
The years had passed and although you never really moved on from Jungkook, you decided it was time for you to build a life for yourself. You were still young and pretty, so it wasn’t hard for you to fool some stupid rich boy from the city. Kim Seokjin was no Jeon Jungkook, but he had money and a steady job – one that could actually pay for rent, food and vices without raising any question from the authorities.
He didn’t know you were broke as fuck, and you did your best to hide it with the means you had and the cunning that your lowlife background had teach you. You would buy fancy dresses and hide the tag when you wore them, so that you could return them the day after. You would also tell Seokjin to come pick you up at work in Gangnam. You never worked there, of course, but he was dumb enough to believe you. It didn’t really matter: you planned on sleeping with him soon enough and let him knock you up. Men always get way too excited when you tell them that they can fuck you without putting on a condom.
What you didn’t plan, however, was to find yourself with a tattooed hand covering your mouth when one night you came back home from a date with Seokjin. At first you tried to scream and free yourself from the strong grip of the mysterious man that somehow got into your house, but you froze as soon as he spoke.
“Shh be quiet, baby. You want to be the one to rat me out?”
You’d recognize that voice among millions. It was Jungkook.
How did he get out? His sentence is not over yet. He still has to serve twenty more years.
You thought that by being quiet and staying still, he would loosen the grip on you, but he didn’t.
“Fancy dress you got here, honey.” He hissed, pressing his lips against your ear and making you shiver from his touch. His hand trailed along the side of your body, caressing the expensive fabric of the white dress.
“Was your new boyfriend, the one who bought it for you?”
Your eyes widened at that question and you again tried to free yourself without success.
“Yeah.. I know. I was surprised too when Yoongi came to visit me and told me you were seeing some fancy city boy with his head up his tuxedo-covered ass.”
You knew that no matter how soft his voice could sound, he was mad. He was always calm when he was really mad.. until he wasn’t calm anymore.
“I told him: no, Yoongi, there’s no way that’s true. My sweet Y/N would never do something like that. She is a faithful wife, not some dirty whore who’s ready to sell her cunt to the first Richie Rich who comes around.”
He chuckled darkly.
“But he brought me the photos. So I guess I was wrong.”
He abruptly turned you around, pushing your back against the wall. It was then, that you saw him. His hair got longer and he somehow got some tattoos on his right arm. His dark eyes were gleaming in the dark with a mischievous light that you had never seen on him – not when he was looking at you, at least.
His fingers tightened around your jaw, forcing you to look at him straight in the eyes.
“Did you let him touch you?”
“N-no.” You muttered, with your heartbeat racing fast and your eyes wide open like those of an innocent doe who was just caught by a cold-blooded hunter.
He pressed his body on yours, breathing heavily against your lips without breaking eye contact.
“If you are lying to me.. I’ll know, Y/N.” He hissed. And you knew that those words were a clear warning.
“I expect your cunt to be tighter than it was when I left. If it isn’t..” he chuckled, slightly tilting his head to the side and licking his lips while caressing gently your reddened cheek. “..well, I guess I’ll stretch your holes so wide that there won’t be any doubt about whose little whore you are.”
He didn’t give you any time to breathe, let alone answer. He pressed his lips on yours with such passion that he sucked the air out of your lungs. And you melted.
You still loved him, after all. You still craved for his touch, which you missed every single night that you’ve spent in your empty bed. Every time you touched yourself, you always closed your eyes and think of him: his hands, his lips, his toned body, his cock, his breath, his smell.. everything. No man could turn you on like he did.
You could tell he had changed. He got more violent, more possessive. But for some reason, that didn’t bother you. Somehow, in a fucked up way, you enjoyed it. It was like you just had the proof that he truly loved you. That you were sill his.
You run your fingers through his hair, tightening your grip while kissing him deeply. A muffled sigh escaped from your lips when his tongue entered your mouth, exploring every corner of it like that was the last kiss he was ever gonna give you.
“Touch me.” You murmured, like it was a prayer sent straight to God.
The first one that was actually answered, since Jungkook’s hands quickly slipped under your dress while you kicked off your shoes. He turned you around again, face against the wall, and removed your underwear.
You gasped at his touch on your wet entrance, arching your back so that he could see your pussy in its full glory.
“Fuck, I missed you so much.” He murmured, starting to run his palm on your pussy.
You moaned, grinding against his hand in search of his touch while he steadied your hips with the strong grip of his free hand.
“Already purring like a kitten, baby?”
Another moan escaped from your lips, this time loudly, when he inserted his middle finger in your throbbing core, feeling it clench around his touch.
“Such a good girl. You didn’t lie to me.” He commented in a hiss, inserting another finger to test your tightness and starting to pump his digits on your most sensitive spot.
“So tight. Will you be able to take my cock, baby?”
“Y-yes. Yes I will.” You answered in between your heavy breaths and moans, chasing the pleasure that his movements gave you.
You suddenly let out a sharp cry when you felt his hand slapping your ass cheek without notice. But the lingering pain had the only effect of heightening the pleasure and getting you even more wet.
Hu chuckled, spanking you one more time.
“Fuck! Jungkook!”
He had always loved it when you said his name during sex, and he still did apparently, since he started pumping his digits harder inside you. The lewd sounds of your pussy soon filled the silence of the night.
When his other hand reached your clit and started drawing quick circles around it, your legs started shivering and your eyes rolled back from the pleasure. If it wasn’t for the wall, you’d probably fall on your knees when the orgasm hit you. You moaned so loud that you almost sounded like a dying animal.
“That’s it baby. Cum for me.”
His words only made it worse and you couldn’t help but feel like a fire ball hit you right in the belly. Your walls clenched around his pumping digits and soon your climax reached an unprecedented high, making you ejaculate on his hand while waves of pleasure went through your body like an electric shock.
“Oh my God!” Was is reaction to the mess you just made.
He let out a satisfied laugh, retracting his fingers from your overstimulated core just to smear your arousal on your own lips.
“Open your mouth, baby. I want you to taste yourself – the way I make you feel.”
You obeyed, and even if you were still panting and barely able to function, you took his fingers in you mouth, rotating your tongue around them and sucking every drop of your own arousal before letting them out with a pop.
“Good girl.” He praised you softly, caressing your hair. “Now get on your knees for me.”
Again, you obeyed without hesitation while he unzipped his pants and pumped himself a few times in front of your face.
You looked up at him, licking your lips. You could still taste your slick on them, but you wanted something different. You wanted his taste. And you were so eager to get it, that you didn’t waste any time.
You soon wrapped your mouth around his hard cock, sucking it like it was your last meal. But letting you have it your way was not Jungkook’s plan. He grabbed a fistful of your hair, tying them up in a ponytail that was only held by his own hand, and started thrusting inside your mouth until tears were gathering at the corner of your eyes.
A deep growl escaped from his lips at the sight of your mouth stuffed with his cock and your messed up make up smeared all over your face.
“My little whore. Always so good for me.” He said through his panting, face fucking you like there was no tomorrow.
And probably there wasn’t gonna be one. For all you knew, the police could come at any moment and take him back to his cell – this time, forever. But, if anything, the thrill just added something extra to the whole situation, making it even more exciting.
The rhythm of his deep thrusts against your throat soon made you gag. And that was it. That was what he wanted, what he was looking for.
“Oh shit! Fuck, I’m coming, baby.”
His cum shot straight down your throat, filling you with his warm liquid. You loved his taste. You always had since the first time he sucked his cock. You were only fifteen back then, and you had no idea how to do it. But he was older than you and he guided your every movement, teaching you what he liked and what he wanted. You thought you’d spit him out, but you always swallowed. You liked it. You liked the taste of his orgasm and you liked to know that you were the one to make him cum like that.
“Take off your dress and bra.”
Your jaw was still feeling numb and your legs weak when he ordered you to undress, but you still obeyed, in a daze.
“Now bend over the couch.”
Again, you didn’t raise any question. You just crawled towards the couch and rested your chest on the pillows, closing your eyes while you tried to catch your breath. You could feel your heart beating strong, muffled by the padded fabric of the couch. The only other sound was that of his steps, getting closer and closer to you until he dropped heavily on his knees, resting his large hands on your ass cheeks and parting them.
He let out a pleased moan and you could feel his gaze devouring the most intimate part of your body. You didn’t even need to look or feel him to know that he was getting hard again. And you felt proud. You arched your back and spread your legs a big wider, offering him the whole show. You loved to know that he wanted you so bad. Just the thought of his desire aroused you more than anything else.
He chuckled, spanking you again and making you gasp at the sharp feel of his palm against your sensitive skin.
“God, you’ve always loved being a slut for me. Am I right?”
You thought the question was rhetoric, so you didn’t respond. But when he gave you another spank and bent over you, pulling your hair to get your ear closer to his lips, you knew he wanted to hear your voice.
“Answer me. Whose little slut are you?”
“Y-yours, Jungkook. I’m your little slut.”
He chuckled darkly, letting go of your hair while caressing your reddened ass cheek and pressing his lips on your ear.
“Good girl.” He praised you, slowly starting to align the tip of his cock with your wet entrance.
You whimpered at the feel, arching your back even more to look for more friction. Seeing you like that, so eager to have him inside of you, was all it took for him to sink deep inside your core, filling you with all his length and stretching your walls.
“Fuck! You got so tight, baby.”
You did. While he was away, you didn’t have sex with anybody and you only started thinking about that when you met Seokjin. Not because you really wanted to, but because you felt like it was a necessary step to get what you wanted. Sure, Jin was handsome, but he was no Jungkook. Your husband, your first love, your first everything – he was the only one who could make you wet just by staring at you. He had that power – the power to make your head spin like you had too many drinks.
Jungkook hold your hips in place and started pounding you hard, making you moan at every thrust until you were just a hot wet mess at his mercy.
“Jungkook..” That was all you could say, breathless, while feeling your walls clench around his cock like they were holding to dear life.
He went balls deep inside of you, fucking you for all the times he didn’t in the past three years. It was intoxicating, and you knew you could never get enough of that feeling – of him.
“Jungkook.. cum inside me, please.” You whimpered, pleading him with a mere whisper when you felt his thrusts getting sloppier and more imprecise. Your orgasm was close too, but you wanted to make sure he didn’t pull out. You wanted to feel every drop of him.
“Y/N.. fuck!” Was all he said while he sank deep inside your core, filling you up with his cum and pumping it in to get you closer to your climax.
You came with his name on your lips and the lewd sounds of your sex filling your ears like the sweetest music you’d ever heard. Your hands grabbed the fabric of the couch and you could feel your saliva dripping down the side of your lips, parted by the intense sensation of your orgasm.
He dropped with his chest pressing on your back. You could feel his heavy breath against your skin and his heartbeat trying to get a calmer pace while the high of the climax was slowly fading away.
“We are leaving tonight, baby.” He whispered in your ear after a few moments of silence. “I’m not going back to jail. I’m not gonna let them tear us apart again.”
And again, even after everything that had happened, you believed him.
I guess this is my prison. You are. But I don’t want to escape.
“I love you, Jungkook.”
“I love you too, baby.”
Blushing
Tumblr media
Paring: Gibbs x Reader
Warnings!: flirting, a curse word or two, kissing, literally a bunch of fluff tho, and Gibbs being cocky ofc
Description: Gibbs decides to flirt a little, how were you supposed to know he was being serious?
------------
You had a problem.
Not really a problem, more like an inconvenience.
But it caused problems. You tended to blush, a lot. And when people discovered this, they would try and make you blush, a lot.
One of these people happened to be Leroy Jethro Gibbs, and he, being the cocky man he is, began flirting with you just to see that blush.
This was an even bigger problem because you liked Gibbs. Like a lot. You were probably in love with him at this point. He was just so ... so Gibbs. There weren't really words to describe the man. But he was driving you crazy with the flirting.
And boy did it happen a lot. On cases, in the office, in his basment, just about eveywhere.
Dinozzo and Ziva thought it was the funniest thing. Probably because the comments were so out of character for Gibbs, and because they definitely knew that you liked him.
But when he made one of those stupid comments your face would turn bright red, and Gibbs would get this stupid smirk like he had accomplished something. Which of course led the team to believe he liked you back and you would get the brute end of all the teasing.
Of course, you never thought anything of his flirting. You simply thought it was to mess with you, to find some amusement during the long days you all spent hunting serial killers.
What you didn't know was that he meant every word he said. Every innocent little flirt that would bring out the pink dust that appeared across your cheeks.
* * *
One day in particular he was very persistent.
"Mornin gorgeous." He spoke as he walked through the bullpen. Of course, you knew he was talking to you, so you glanced up rolling your eyes, blushing hard. He looked so good today, although he looked good just about every day.
"Morning Gibbs." You muttered. Barely even 9 am and he's already starting.
"I dunno how ya always looks so pretty Y/n." You looked at him, bewildered, because this was by far the most confident he had been. Usually it was a subtle little comment. Every now and then. You continued to stare at the man bewildered.
But when he caught your eye, he winked at you. The man FUCKING WINKED at you. You were sure your face was beat red at this point.
He turned around like he hadn't said a word, leaving you to calm yourself and try and get your face to look somewhat normal before everyone filed in the room. Of course there was no getting rid of that stupid red blush. Especially since the man you were practically in love with, just said those, those things to you.
"Already started Gibbs? And I missed it!?" Dinozzo says as he walks past your desk. You simply rolled your eyes again. Usually you would let the comment go, but you decided to say something back.
"Oh shut up Dinozzo. You're just jealous he isn't flirting with you." You aren't sure where this new found confidence came from, but you definitely appreciated it. Not only does it get a laugh from Gibbs, but also McGee and Ziva who had just entered the room.
Ziva sent you a look, shooting a glance at Gibbs as her own smirk adorned her face. She raised her eyebrows up and down in a suggestive manner, causing your blush to deepen. But you had just shut up Dinozzo, and that is no small feat.
Feeling very proud of yourself, you glance at Gibbs, only to duck your head again when you saw that stupid smirk. You knew what was coming.
"Well Y/l/n, quite confident are we?" He paused, probably to prepare you for his next words. "It's hot." Aaaand here comes the blush. Shyly, you ducked your head for the millionth time that day, and avoided all eyes. Snickering was heard across the room and you are 100 percent sure if you glanced up there would be...
That.
Stupid.
Smirk.
God that smirk was starting to do things to you. If Gibbs kept going like he was for the rest of the day, you might just have to die from embarrassment or waltz over and kiss the man.
The latter was looking more appealing at the moment. And as soon as Gibbs left the room, the teasing began. The constant teasing from Dinozzo about how you should make a move already.
You again told them he didn't feel the same as he gave you a disbelieving look.
"Sure Y/l/n, if you say so." And the conversation moved on.
* * *
A week or two passed and the comments were getting scarce, one or two a day. He hadn't ambushed you like he had that morning in a while.
And you hated the disappointed feeling you got.
You didn't really appreciate the flirting in front of other people, and the constant blushing was annoying yeah, plus the teasin from the team got on your nerves, but you liked the idea of Gibbs flirting with you. And you liked Gibbs.
Maybe he liked you too?
No, that's stupid.
It was just innocent flirting. He didn't mean anything, right?
You decided that you desperately needed to know. You decided to find out right then. You got in your car at 10 pm and drove to his house, finding him in his basement.
He heard you come down, and as soon as you stepped off the last step, his eyes dragged up and down your body, making you feel hot all over.
He was checking you out. And he wasn't very subtle about it.
"What can I do for ya ... bueatiful." Here we go.
"I wanted to talk to you." You spoke out meekly. Your voice quiet.
"Oh? Just talk?" He asked slyly, his eyes telling you a whole story.
"Y-yes." He noticed your nervousness and a look of concern flashed across his face. He knew you would get shy when he flirted, never nervous. He didn't want to make you uncomfortable. Your next words took him a bit by surprise. "Why do you flirt with me?"
He looked rather shocked for a moment before recovering.
"Why?" Was his only response.
"I just wanna know. Does it mean anything?" He wanted to say no. That it didn't mean anything. Just to see you blush. That was why he did it. Thats how it started anyways. But then he got addicted to that blush. He fell in love with your adorable blush.
"Yes." Your cheeks tinted and you smiled.
"Well then. Are you going to just talk?"you asked, referencing to his earlier words. And there was the smirk. That handsome smirk you had no doubt fallen for.
One moment he was standing next to his boat and the next he was kissing you fiercer than you though possible. Brushing strands of hair from your face, he deepened the kiss, his tounge fighting against yours. You whined into his mouth, causing him to smile against your lips. He broke away only when the need for air became too strong.
"I love ya." He pecked your lips. "Georgous." You giggled shaking your head.
"I love you too. But you know what I love even more." This was gonna be a long shot. But you had to see if it would work. He looked at you confused, tilting his head adorably. You paused for only a second longer. "Your ass."
And his cheeks tinted bright red, as you smirked.
Now you knew exactly why he had done it so damn much.
Vicious
Part II
Tumblr media
Pairing: Steve x reader, Bucky x reader, Thor x reader, Loki x reader, Peter x reader
Warnings: yandere, obsession, stalking, possessiveness, theft, all characters are adults.
Words: 1891.
Part I
Summary: Transferring to Stark Academy that has only allowed to take in female students last semester, you realize you are just one of three young women among hundreds of students. Your things are constantly being stolen, and soon you begin fearing for your safety.
P.S. To avoid any confusion, I changed the name Savages -> Vicious.
________________________
The next day you spent doubting your own decisions. Was it really wise to leave everything to Steve? How could he find those students all by himself and deal with your problem? Could he really stop them from acting like that? You thought once again it would be so much easier to ask for a transfer, but you had already given him your word to meet him today at 5. It would be very inappropriate not to come when he was trying to help you.
When the time came, you were sneaking in the student council room as if you were some petty thief. You were afraid people would start talking: if everybody knew who stole your things, they would understand you came to Steve for help like a little girl. It was embarrassing - even in a situation like this. Besides, somebody could be following you since at 5 pm the academy was almost empty.
By the time you reached the right door, you heart was beating as if you had just run a marathon. You really, really hoped Steve found some solution, and you wouldn’t have to be humiliated by the student advisor for wanting to leave the school.
Opening the door, you saw a couple of students on the sofa and quickly stepped away, afraid the student council was still having a meeting, “Ugh, sorry!”
“Come in, please,” Steve said calmly behind the door, and you shyly got in again, watching four other guys staring at you with interest. “We’ve been waiting for you.”
“What, they too?” You were so perplexed by his words you forgot your manners, speaking of others as if they weren’t in the same room. “I’m sorry, I mean, I didn’t know you were involved.”
Wait, were they the ones who stole your things? Did Steve bring them here for you?
“No need to be so nervous.” One of them, a guy with long, jet black hair forming waves around his shoulders told you, motioning you to come closer and sit in one of the chairs opposing the sofa where he sat. “We’re here to help you.”
You remembered his name was Loki. A mathematic genius, he was considered one of the top students of the academy.
“That’s right! Come, come!” Seeing Peter among others was surprising, but his smiling face made you calm down a little, and you smiled at him in return.
No, they weren’t those guys who stole your underwear, for sure. Apparently, Steve asked them to join you because they knew something and could give you a hand in finding those bastards.
“Thank you for agreeing to see me.” Feeling a little self-conscious among five different men you'd barely known, you landed on one of the chairs and saw that the other two were Bucky and a captain of the academy’s basketball team, Thor. “Did you find out anything?”
“Yes,” Steve said with a loud sigh, “I know exactly who they are. I can hand them over to the school’s officials and get them expelled by tomorrow, but that’s not the real issue here.”
You felt the chills ran up your back. What did he mean by the real issue?
“Is there something else?”
When you saw Loki smirking at you, you suddenly realized you were among five strong men in the student council room on the fifth floor where most classrooms were already empty. If you screamed, nobody would even hear you.
“Stop it.” Bucky’s angry voice cut through the silence, and you saw him literally burning a hole in Loki’s face. “Don’t make her scared, freak.”
Obviously, he wanted to say something offensive to Barnes in return, but Steve silenced them both with his icy glare. Loki sent him an innocent smile while Bucky snorted and rolled his eyes in irritation. It felt like they were in the middle of some school play, and you bit down on your lower lip, having a feeling something was going horribly wrong.
“The thing is, even if we got those ones expelled, it probably won’t stop the others from doing something similar.” Steve leaned up against a desk with his arms crossed over his chest. “I feel terrible admitting it, but many of our students are completely wild. I’m afraid they might keep harassing you.”
“Oh.”
You averted your eyes, realizing your attempts to find a solution were futile. Obviously, Steve could do nothing - he wasn’t a knight in shining armor, ready to protect you day and night from those delinquents who followed you everywhere. As you thought before, the one thing that could help here was leaving the school for good.
Shit, you didn’t know how to explain it to your family, Even your friends thought it was too bizarre to be true and laughed at your worries, saying you probably lost your things yourself. You would have to find a better excuse for a transfer in the middle of the semester.
“Well, anyway, thank you for trying,” you nodded and smiled apologetically at him as if it were your fault, “tomorrow I will talk to the student advisor about my transfer. Sorry for the trouble!”
“I don’t think it’s real to get transferred by now. It’s passed all the deadlines.” Shaking his head, Bucky raised his voice, and you felt suffocating.
Apparently, you would really have to skip a whole year of school. Explaining everything to your family, looking for some garbage job to have enough money to rent a room and pay your bills... Fantastic.
“You don’t have to do that. I’ve found another way.”
Immediately, you raised your head, your pupils dilating.
“You see, the reason they are doing that is because you have no one to protect you. They know the administration won’t take it seriously because they’re a bunch of old misogynists, and you also have no means of protecting yourself. It would be better if you started dating someone, someone strong enough to make these guys back down.”
Steve looked deadly serious for someone saying such nonsense. A boyfriend? Now? Was he for real? Did he think you'd be using someone like your personal shield? Besides, even if you chose the strongest guy at school, it didn’t mean he would be stronger if several people attacked him.
But when you shared your thoughts with Steve, you saw others smiling at you as if they knew you would say that, and you felt uneasy.
“That’s true. That’s why you need more than one boyfriend.”
“What do you mean? How can somebody have more than one boyfriend?" Puzzled, you stared at him wide-eyed as if he said something stupid.
What on Earth did he mean by that? Were you to have your own squad of bodyguards at all times while you were in the academy? This was so foolish you couldn't believe someone like Steve said it out loud.
But then you caught glances of five men in the room and forgot how to breathe for a second. They weren't serious, were they? Steve didn't assemble all these guys here to make them into your boyfriends. It was preposterous even thinking of that, right?
Right?
"Please tell me it's not what I think it is." You muttered, crossing your arms over your chest as if trying to protect yourself.
"Why are you being so nervous?" Baring his teeth, Loki smiled at you. "Some other girl would be happy if five men were to be her boyfriends."
"It's a joke, right? You're all joking."
You hoped to see any of them laughing and nodding their heads, saying they simply wanted to cheer you up, but all you saw was a guilty expression on the faces of Bucky and Thor and the excitement of others. They really gathered here to offer you this.
"All of us here," Steve looked upon others, becoming a little displeased when his gaze fell upon smiling Peter, "are perfectly capable of helping you. If each of us were to accompany you one day a week, others won't be so brave. I'm sure they will no longer be a nuisance to you if they know what we can do to them."
There was something very dark in the way Steve said that, and for a couple of seconds you weren't sure whether you have to be more scared of him rather than those who was stealing your things.
"But it would be very uncomfortable for everyone, wouldn't it? I mean, going with me everywhere, not using your own time as you'd like. And, well, surely, others will see that we won't act like a real couple, so they might still keep harassing me. I don't think it would work."
Apparently, Loki was bored with this talk, you thought as you heard him clicking his tongue in annoyance.
"Then don't pretend. Act like a real girlfriend. Kiss in public, hug, go to the cinema together, what else girls do?"
"Wait, you mean, with ALL of you?"
"Yeah? Do you think anyone gonna be against it?"
You very much hoped they would be. Being followed by someone like your bodyguard was one thing, but having a real boyfriend was very different. Did they really want to pretend to be lovey-dovey with you? Act like you were close to them?
Oh. Of course, they would. They belonged to the same kind of touch-starved barbaric men they were trying to protect you from. They would do all those things to you, too.
You realized you were crying only when Peter flew off his seat in a hurry and squatted down beside you, taking your shaking hands in warm his.
"Please, don't cry. Nobody's gonna force you into doing anything, I promise. You will only do things you're comfortable with, ok?" Handing you his pearly white handkerchief, he smiled to comfort you. "No one of us gonna say anything."
"And if she starts dating one of us for real? What's then?" It was Loki again, cocking his head to the side and obviously provoking Peter to yell at him.
"We'll be ok with that, too."
The silence felt heavy. As you opened your eyes, Peter's handkerchief in your hands, you realized it was Thor who spoke for the first time, and the way he looked at you softly made you feel a little better. Despite the fact you knew little of him, for some reason, it felt like you would be safe with him - certainly safer than with Loki.
"Naturally, if any of us will bring you discomfort or do something unacceptable, you need to let us all know, and we'll decide what to do with that person." Raising his voice, the head of the student council made everyone to turn their head to him. "We will be meeting here, in this room, if anything happens. Each of us will give you our phone numbers. We will also make a schedule who accompanies you every day of the week."
It seemed he no longer asked for your opinion if you even wanted it to happen.
__________
"Bucky will be with you on Mondays, Loki on Tuesdays. Wednesdays are Thor's, on Thursdays Peter will be following you, and on Fridays it will be me going with you. Of course, if you need any of us to watch over you on weekends, feel free to contact whoever of us you like more."
