Ellie was just minding her own business flying through rural Oregon and checking out the weird tourist traps and spending Vlad’s money on cheesy knickknacks to send to her favorite cheesehead.

She had been trying to figure out where her next tourist was when she flew into … something. Whatever it was she couldn’t go through it, even intangibly. She tried everything she could think of, flying over it, flying under it, blasting through it. Nothing worked.

Ellie sighed. Looks like she was going to be stuck in Gravity Falls, Oregon for a while.

Nick: (Without missing a beat) “What kind of havoc did you three cause?” (Rushing over to the group)

Hancock: (Pointing at Jasmine) “Little sister is not hurt Nicky. Made sure of that.”

Jasmine: (Putting up her hands) “And nobody important died.”

Deacon: (Holding the baby Deathclaw) “Yet, at least as far we can tell.”

Nick: (Cupping Jasmine face, checking his kid over) “What happened to your shoes?” (Squints at her suspiciously) “And how come you smell like gasoline?”

Jasmine: (Shrugs) “They had it coming as soon as they kicked Dogmeat!”

Hancock: “And shoved Curie. In my mind, those punks got off this one real easy.”

Nick: (Looking at Deacon and the baby Deathclaw) “Do I even wanna know anymore!?”

Deacon: (Holding him out like Simba) “I've dubbed this one, Fluffy!”

so i was just sort of talking at my sister (as one does with a hyperfixation) about reed's relationship with the royals. about how bb and medusa seem to be pretty close to him (and sue, but i digress), and how even maximus ended up on friendly terms with him when he was an,,, honorary member of the illuminati for a little bit that one time.

and i was thinking, surely, maximus thought of reed as just that annoying guy his brother and sister-in-law talked about sometimes, and helped them imprison max. i don't imagine he thought highly of that guy at all.

and then he ends up in the illuminati, and actually talks to him, and realizes that this guy is also a genius and gets how he thinks and operates. so now he has to deal with thinking "oh no he IS cool" about that guy that helped his brother beat him up a couple years prior

#and also. how did reed get like that entire family to like him #he's an inhuman royal MAGNET #but yeah. iirc max and reed have a moment where they both are just kind of finishing each others sentences #and tony has to tell them to stop and explain what theyre talking about bc even he is lost on their thought process #i am a huge fan of characters with similar intelligence getting together and just being !!!!!!! at each other #like. Fun facts:The n is silent so her name is pronounced Se-dar-ea-ah but the spelling comes from Latin and the phylum name for corals, jellyfish, and similar invertebrates. In the phylum spelling the c is silent and the n is pronounced. She cultivates the coral growing on her skin and it’s slightly magnetic. Not as much as the big stuff she grew up with.

Sometimes I would sit on the deck and draw Nim, when I got tired of algae samples and seashells. She liked that. She liked attention.  “You’re like me,” she once said.
