BDIEMALALDBDUEJ FIREFLYS BABY BUN BEING THE SMALLEST JESUS. Bunny reader would love all of her children equally but something about this abnormally small bun drives her into overprotective mess. No touchy her baby bun only she or Firefly can touch (others get angrily nipped at fingers in warning when trying to touch the smollest).

Firefly’s bunny baby is also the baby that Bunny Reader is super protective of. I imagine that they are most likely the runt, and since runts don’t often survive (this little one did though) Bunny Reader is like a mama bear over this one and only lets Firefly take care of them 🥺

I thought about posting this or not, not just twice, but many times. Because it still makes me really sad. So sad that someone chops onions in my room.

These are Chonkiekong and Elise. They are a huge part of why we started the fundraising.

We lost Chonks and Elise. They are our recent angels. 🥺❤️‍🩹

Chonks was one of the litter of a stray momma cat. He was born blind and as he grew we felt a back deformity too.

Elise was a rescue kitten. My brother heard her meows. She was still inside a plastic bag, thrown at a garbage pile that was still in flames. She had small burns.

We tried our best to give whatever we had to offer. And I'll be very honest, I know it wasn't enough.

We thought they would survive, Chonks' eye infection was getting better. His meows were getting louder. He was eating and drinking more. And the same was for Elise. She was very active and playful and her burns healed.

But they became angels. ❤️‍🩹

I'm sorry Chonks and Elise. Even though we weren't able to give you the best, I hope you felt the love we all had for both of you.

You were loved. You are loved. You will always be loved.

We miss you lil guys 🥺💕

Libby update:

Since starting her new diet, she has been super needy. Like follows me everywhere and in need of constant cuddles and just won’t stop meowing. Everytime I get up she thinks I’m going to feed her so she runs ( to the best of her ability ) to her bowl and will stare at me and meow trying to get me to feed her.

I was going to the bathroom and literally the second I sit down on the toilet not 3 second later Libby comes in. I guess I didn’t close the door properly and she nudged it with her chonk and opened it. Then she ran into the bathroom and jumps on my lap while I’m sitting on the toilet trying to pee.

We also have to lock her in a room when my other cat Lilo eats because she will straight up hit her til she runs and eat her food. ( lilo is half her size )

OMG HII BEAUTIFUL LIBBY !! does she waddle run 🥺 baby just wants food, and I want to give her all the love in the world. the sweetest baby, the bathroom buddy ?? 😭 her chonk is unstoppable, and she wants cuddles while you're doing business ?? libby baby why ?? 😭 and she is a food thief to such a small kitty too !!

The big grey one in the back is my baby Axew.!!! The White boi front and center is my Oreo!! And the Black one to the side is my only girl Meowth!! Fun fact when I went to get my Axew I originally went for his white sibling, but that kitten was hiding, so Axew walked up to me and we just had this connection as soon as we locked eyes, that's how I knew he chose me!! ( I can send a front view of Oreo if you want one, or you can look at the header I have on my profile that's all 3 of my babies)

Obviously Rhonda would have a bed and her own bunk, but I like the idea that instead of traveling That far from her medbay and the sleeping quarters hours after everyone has gone asleep, Rhonda will just take some medbay beddings and chonk out right beside the engines where it's really warm. Maybe eventually she sets down a hammock in there.

It's terrible for her back and contributes to her sleep deprivation.

There's also the easy answer of, of fucking course, she just shares a bed with Alix. But that's not sad :))

Tips, huh? So much is dependent on the individual cat's personality, but I would say......

Keep him indoors - indoor cats live much longer and healthier lives.

Get him used to nail clipping and brushing his teeth once in a while, so that he understands this is a routine thing and will cooperate (eventually). We didn't do that with Chandler and it's literal WW3 between him and my mom whenever she tries. (I don't even attempt it.)

Make sure he has good quality food (don't skimp on cat food due to cost, coz you'll just have to pay that back in vet bills. I recommend the brand Royal Canin.) Make sure he's up to date on his shots!

Something to not waste money on? Toys. Cats realllllly dgaf about the toys you buy and will spend 4 hours chasing and mutilating a random leaf that fell from one of your houseplants, or a balled up receipt. (Chandler's favt: a longbean. He'll play with it for 3 days straight, carrying it around like MY PRECIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!) Don't bother wasting money on anything other than maybe a scratch pad. I've had one like this (non-cardboard) for over 4 years now and it's held up.

Research if any of your houseplants are bad for cats and remove them from the areas he can access. Same with human foods that are toxic (chocolate, grapes/raisins, onions/garlic, etc.) Most cats are also lactose intolerant so don't give them milk. Just clean water to drink, accessible at all times is enough.

Give him a safe space to retreat to when he's feeling overwhelmed/scared. Cats really like having a place that's cool and dark and where they can chill. Chandler has his carrier, which he uses as his room, and his place when he's extra need of comforting is under the covers on my bed.

Also give him a nice window space to watch the outside from, and take his snoozes in the sun. It'll be his happy place.

Other than this, just get to know your cat's personality and do what makes both of y'all happy. Enjoy each other's company!!!!!!! 😻😻😻
