as a female engineering student i am so grateful to have representation like poppy li. too many “woman in stem” characters are, on top of being really smart, also really cool and really pretty but POPPY is a piece of shit, awkward as hell, egotistical little gremlin addicted to candy, power, and validation. she is the smartest person at mythic quest and also the weirdest person you’ve ever met. i love her so much

The psychite tea did send Dire Wolf into a fit of giggling as she drew on the floor. I like to imagine she was drawing her family <3

Blackdragon makes his chores more interesting by pretending he's a badass dinosaur tamer, I won't accept any other explanation.

Yeah no I'm still not over Kohane's fes card.

Soooo... That side story huh. The "fragment of a feeling" Kohane touches taking her to Vivid Street. The townsfolk all calling her An. Kohane trying to imitate An. Kohane who has been in Vivid Street for only a short period of time but has come to love it anyway. The townspeople calling her by her partner's name.

I could make a whole separate rant about how Kohane being linked to Nagi at the end of Kick It Up A Notch makes me feel. It doesn't feel fair for her. She has grown so much in a short period of time and yet when her talent reaches it's highest point she isn't just Kohane, she is like someone who has been dead for years. Even her partner can only think of Nagi looking at her.

The fragment sekai is a mix of Kohane's memories of places she has been since Vivid Bad Squad formed all collected in a gallery of shattered glass. Kohane loves Vivid Street yet every time she is likened to someone else. She sings like Nagi. She is An's partner. In a way it brings back to RAD Weekend. The idea that to surpass it they need to be just like it. They can't achieve that because RAD Weekend was the celebration of Nagi's life. Kohane can sing like Nagi but she can never become her, and I fear that, subconsciously, that's what certain people (Taiga) were hoping she would be. (He saw Nagi in her. He saw his dead sister. He still hasn't been able to fully move on.)

Then there's An. Her partner has become what she has aimed for her entire life. To be someone like Nagi, to be like her mentor. Vivid Street called Kohane by An's name. Does that mean they replaced An, or does it mean they can only think of An when they see her?

Kohane Azusawa went looking for a purpose in life. She found it, a group of street musicians with a shared goal. She loves it, yet the world only ever sees her as a distant memory. Someone who won't ever return.

(And something just hit me. Kohane is the only character without a proper backstory. We just had an entire event to go through the lead up to RAD Weekend which gave us a clear view of Nagi. An starts off VBS's main story yet Kohane is the "main character". They set this up right from the start I need to find colourful palette and fight them.)

So I just watched the Season 5 finale of Miraculous Ladybug, aka what the creator said was the ending he had planned for the show before it got renewed for more seasons, aka the unofficial official ending, and all I have to say is... (DON'T PRESS KEEP READING UNLESS YOU'VE SEEN THE FINALE OR DON'T GIVE A FUCK ABOUT SPOILERS)

I am SO GLAD I don't feel ANY obligation to continue watching the show anymore :') And don't get me wrong, I'm not gonna pull no fan entitlement shit, I think the ending could have been SOOOOOO much worse and for what it is, I'm content with what we got for the majority of it

BUT I also have a right to criticize it, so I will; they really forgot about the most important fucking part, the identity reveal, so Adrien continues to not know the truth and Marinette, the only person who knows what happened, sure as hell won't tell him, he deserves so much fucking better than that

BUT AT LEAST THE FUCKING SENTIADRIEN THEORY GOT DEBUNKED, THEY CONFIRMED HE WAS ACTUALLY BORN, NOT CREATED WITH THE PEACOCK MIRACULOUS, AND FELIX WAS THE ONLY SENTIMONSTER OF THE TWO, ISTG I FELT THE SAME SATISFACTION AS I HAD WHEN NOBODY BELIEVED ME ABOUT GABRIEL BEING HAWKMOTH BACK BEFORE SEASON 2 CAME OUT, STAY APPARENTLY DELULU GIRLIES BECAUSE YOU ALWAYS END UP BEING RIGHT

(Okay coming back to this part, check the comments!! I got a little excited when I initially posted this haha. I think at this point it's just up to interpretation -- Felix was the only one of the two outright confirmed but you could argue either side for Adrien still. Also I don't hate the idea of Senti-Adrien, I just know the show would do a terrible job executing it because they'd never have Adrien know the truth. Poor kid keeps having to live without knowing what truly happened just makes me sad :( It could also leave him vulnerable to attacks and stuff, that's one of those things he deserves to know if it's ever explicitly canon y'know???)

Also bless Nooroo, he deserved a happy ending too :( Slay for Lila tho, I figured she was gonna become the next Hawk Moth/Papillon

jesus christ these audiences for roh/aew what the fuck. like i get that it's hard to sort structural things out when the company is in a tailspin but man do they need to do something drastic. however many monitors tk was hit with it was not enough

bridge to turnabout's fanservice was so good it fooled everyone into thinking it was a well-written murder case when it really truly was Not

#thinking abt it again and godots plan to counter morgans plan was literally just #step 1.) get misty to channel dahlia so pearl cant #step 2.) monitor her actions #step 3.) see what happens. :)#didnt think to restrain her or throw her into the cavern or anything literally. nonsensical actions #had her try to dissuade pearl from channeling dahlia but when that failed it was like #'well ok misty go and channel her instead. yeah dont worry abt it surely nothing crazy will come from this'#iris just going along w constructing a fake crime scene so maya wont get incriminated #even tho godot could just. confess to his crime instead of risking maya getting convicted #and even then we couldve had a lovely scene explaining tht iris went along w godots plans bc she had #felt remorseful abt her sister poisoning him or something or the other #but no. no such thing #every one of godots nonsensical actions is explained away by He Did That Bc Of His Prideeeeee #and yet the ppl who can forgive this are the same ones who cant stand turnabout serenade for accusing a blind minor murder like pls #this type of absurdity is hardly distinct or unique #3-5's murder case is literally held up by toothpicks when u take a closer look at it #while paired along with some of the worst conclusions to various character arcs ever cuz takumi #is talented at writing story devices but not characters #and its only at the very end does this very blatantly show #but bc edgeworth is playable and franziska returns etc etc etc it doesnt matter 10/10 game amazing. That Sylvia didn't know from the beginning of shooting the show about Mother Superion having been a halo bearer before is absolutely wild based on her performance. Talk about intuition...

#i recall another interview of hers where she talks about the reaction the acting teacher had to her first time on stage or something #“that's talent!” -- indeed it is indeed it is...#(don't mind me i'm just youtube diving for a sec)#silly blabbering #i could never be a script writer. she mentions two s1 episodes having been reworked in the middle of shooting some others #no guys seriously how do you rework something as it's happening lol braver than any us marine #there's a reason why i write and rewrite my stories and even my essays before i ever post them -- why i take months to complete a text #and why if ever i do lose my mind and write a multichap story it will be fully written before i ever post the first chapter #i can do improv rather well -- i did a few theatre classes and i can do beautiful ass pulls in the middle of an rpg session #but when i have a story to tell i have a vision to adhere to and nobody apart from my best friend sees that progress that back and forth #it's pretty cool that the writers changed a few things after getting to know the actors (and sylvia had mentioned that before as well)#but jeez i just would not be able to do it. kudos to every screenwriter playwright out there #since it's not just putting parts of the story out -- it's doing so for actors to read and perform. amazing #random edit to add that she?? did boxing for three years??? mamma mia aiutami
