Dear ‘’that part of the Voltron fandom’’

Stop making post where you suggest or say that the shippers who support Sheith or like Sheith are shaming the LBGTQ community, supporting a fictional ship (that the creators have said is okay to ship and have shown to ship it too) is ridiculous not only that, you are giving the Klance fandom a very bad name, (which sadly already has a bad reputation now, which is such a shame cause there is nothing wrong with the ship) liking the sheith ship WONT bring any harm to the lgbtq community and you know it, you know what does harm the LGBTQ community ?

The klantis fans who are upset at Shiro being an lgbt character because there afraid their klance wont be canon

The Klantis fans who only care about Shiro being lgbtq IN THE HOpes it will make Klance canon 

The klantis fans who called Shiro a monster, pedo, a predator  and became two-faced acting as if they care about the character now just because he is gay,

ANd even WORSE.

The Anti’s and Klantis fans who have harassed and called Bex terrible names (one of the Voltron creators) who is a LGBTQ member, ) because she has implied she likes the sheith ship,(by not..saying she hates it?) the people who have send death threats towards her because people are accusing her of being anti klance. You are sending death threats to a real lgbtq none binary human being and accusing a real lgbtq none-binary human being of queer baiting  klance fans when she had to fight to make Shiro being  lgbtq happen. Its thanks to BEX THAT THERE IS LGBTQ representation in Voltron in the first place.

Why not tell klantis (bad klance fans) to stop harming the lgbtq community that way? to stop attacking a member of the LGBTQ and harming her since its effecting her for reals? (check some of her twitter messages)

But instead of focusing on that you rather focus on attacking shaladins and shaming sheith shippers that arent harming anyone and you could easily avoid by blocking their tags.

Let that SINK in for a while.

Sheith is pure and other things

Okay... Sheith is not my first “problematic” ship, and with that I mean it’s not the first beautiful, pure, growing up healty together, powerful, deep relationship even if it isn’t romantic and cute ship I have and has a lot of haters that think that these ships are bad and toxic. Really... I usually don’t want to react about those problematic persons in the fandoms, just block and ignore it because looks like they don’t want to get reasons and just hate and search ways to attack and exaggerate things just because they like other ships and close up their minds if someone don’t think like them... and all that is so childish, looks like they’re thinking: “I’M RIGHT, I’M RIGHT AND YOU’RE NOT, SO SHUT UP AND KILL YOURSELF BEFOURE I DO, LMAO I’M SO GREAT ATTAKING PEOPLE I DON’T EVEN KNOW AND BEING EVEN WORSE IF I WATCH SOMETHING THAT MAKES ME FEAR THAT THAT SHIP WILL BE CANON AND MINE NO AND DON’T EVEN TRYING TO RECOGNICE THE HEALTY IN THAT SHIP BECAUSE IT’S NOT MY OTP”.-They’re the toxics, not the ship-

But there is a thing... they reasons each time broke more (I mean, for example: they re not blood related, the age gap is 2 years less...), and looks like their fear made them attack... I’m afraid that if in S8 something looks like they’re a bit canon they attack the Staff. Like this go, wont surprice me if they do that like other toxic people in other fandoms. So...HEALTY PEOPLE IN THE FANFOM, EVEN IF YOU DON’T SHIP IT, PLEASE, DONT GIVE POWER AND DON’T LET THE TOXIC PEOPLE DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT! PLEASE! I’m not saying Sheith will be canon (really I never have hopes about my ships of not!yaoi things to be canon... BuT Hey! Bubbleline become canon!!! QvQ... I mean, now homo ships are becoming canon, Isn’t that amazing and wonderful?), but like no years before in not adult animations now there is a bit possibility that an homo ship become canon (I know Adashi was canon, but it don’t have a lot of impact since... well... short interaction on screen and Adam death...)... so there is a hope, really small but stands there... so please, if that happens don’t let toxic people attack

And also!!! If Sheith not become canon and others ships with the characters do (like Klance) GOES THE SAME. I mean: PROTECT THE STAFF!

Shippers, anything you ship, just don’t be mean to others!

Pd1: I try a lot to don’t ship anything in Voltron -excep Klance because big part of my desires to watch Voltron were Klance and Lotor- but I fail... Shiro and Keith relationship slowly take a land in my hearth and I couldn’t do nothing about it else just love this ship -and asking myself why Klance were more popular, I understand it was popular, but not more than Sheith because Sheith have more canon scenes in my point of view-. Shiro helps Keith when he think he don’t have anyone who care about him, take care of him and believe in him. And the way they search for each other, and the way they look each other... just... WOW.      In my family we’re 6 siblings, I know very well the kind of feeling about a sibling, I even have a friend that I feel like a brother, I even have a twin and understand a lot about loving so deep anyone platonic or like family (If soulmates were a real thing, she definitly is my platonic soulmate!, not romantic love, but deep understanding and thinking about things like if something happens and I sleep for 100years and have to choose anyone to be with me I’m going to choose her because we know if we’re together anything will be fine at the end)...and I see it in Pidge and Matt, but not in Shiro and Keith relationship, I feel like Keith want to portrait that way to protect himself, because the feeling in his eyes looks like- I’m not gona to say “it’s more”, I think we have different kinds of love and all will be strong- it’s different, and Shiro watching on him an equal and someone he can trust every time and slowly maybe love in a romantic way. But well, it stills is the way I look the ship

Pd2: If you think Sheith is toxic, but you don’t attack their shippers and don’t insult the ship: You’re great! It’s ok to have your own oppinions about something, and even if we don’t think the same because our reasons, you’re being enough mature to respect others, and really, that makes you great!

The Klance/laith side needs more fans like you. If I had had klance shipping friends like this to talk with– As in, ones who really like the show and respect/listen to it– I might still be around, making more klance content today.

That aside though, gosh I hope so!! Keith and Shiro love each other so much. They deserve each other, they deserve happiness. Their relationship has not only been the centerpiece of the series, a constant focus of the team dynamics  as an enigmatic inquiry, but it just keeps building and building and building onto so much trust and respect and closeness it already had, getting impossibly more sweet and soft every time. You can’t help but be drawn in and it’s clear that this is a relationship that they love and want to show to the audience. 

I’m so torn, I don’t want to get my hopes up because it’s easy to see how much the creators had to struggle JUST to get gay shiro in there with the breakup scene with adam, I feel like canon sheith would be neigh impossible unless it was a post seires WOG confirmation/korrasami. 

But at the same time.. objectively their relationship is questionably platonic. Even other articles are starting to take notice, and the closer they get the more realistic the ships potential becomes. 

No matter what does and doesn’t become canon, they love each other and I’m happy with that. Hell I’m happy to have such an amazing show to love, period.

while I'm annoyed at the whole adam thing im also annoyed that a lot of the fandom is acting like "oh no this means shieth will be canon" or "oh no klance wont happen because of allurance" and calling the staff (who have a few lgbt writers and bex who's the voice for Pidge and a lesbian) cis hets. WHY ARENT Y'ALL MORE MAD ABOUT THE FAKE HYPE INSTEAD OF Y'ALLS SHIPS??????

I went through the tag last night and, GOD, there were so many people bitching about Sheith and Klance. Like, y’all, no offense, but they literally hyped us up for a canon same-sex romance to be explored, and all we got were some fucking flashbacks that barely confirmed anything (to my knowledge).

I wouldn’t have minded at all if Adam and Shiro didn’t get back together (in fact, I anticipated that they wouldn’t, though I was hopeful), but, God, the Voltron team had the chance to do something GOOD, have these two LGBT+ characters speak openly about their previous relationship ON-SCREEN, and instead they fucking killed one of them (and gave the other one a mysterious fucking disease that, afaik, has never been even hinted at???).

What a mess.

with all the negativity the fandom brings onto people (even the fucking show runners/cast) over something as small as ships, i try to make it a positive atmosphere. some are constantly taking words out of context and lashing out before thinking. i just want to say if you have a gut feeling about w h a t e v e r ship you have. klance, allurance, sheith, whatever the living fuck it may be. trust that feeling. you r e a l l y think the crew is gunna tell you whats gunna happen? they literally cant and they wont. stop jumping to conclusions and just be positive.

i wont call your edit garbage, bc youre right, you spent work and effort on it. i will say that it feels disrespectful (not even from a sheith shipper pov) to erase shiro like that? it's not even about the ship at that point. whether you see it platonically or not, that hug was significant in the show for their relationship specifically. it feels almost like erasing shiro as a character, if that makes sense. and that's what feels wrong?

Dont take me wrong here, shiro and keith’s hug meant A LOT to me, their relationship does (platonically).Honestly? All i wanted with this edit was to make them hug, and if it felt like i erased shiro like a character, then im sorry. I really love shiro. And i guess the caption was a little misleading? Saying “what do you mean this isnt what happened” maybe was the wrong caption, because it made me look like i never wanted the sh//e/ith scene to happen, WHICH I REALLY DID, its really important. All i wanted was to make klance hug. And the background maybe made it feel even more like i didnt want shiro there, but that was just to make the edit realistic. I had no intention to “erase” shiro like that, all i wanted was a klance hug.

So the thing about Prince Lotor, the Lotor/Lance pairing, and the way season 2 ended in general that gets me so hyped is that it opens so many doors.

Shiro having gone missing puts the team in a very unstable and vulnerable state of mind. They will have to deal with potentially never finding Shiro. That would make Keith the new Black Lion’s paladin, which we know will happen because of MAJOR foreshadowing in the previous seasons (Keith flew the damn lion for quiznaks sake, also sheith angst!). This will change the group dynamic significantly. Then, on top of that, they will need to find a new person to be the Red Lion’s new paladin to replace Keith, adding a whole new character (can’t rule out this being Lotor btw) changing the dynamic even more. (so much individual paladin angst imma die)

Now, if Lotor is an enemy, and I’m focusing on the common theory that Lotor will be a manipulative enemy, he has the potential to form this unhealthy relationship with an affection and attention starved Lance that would force character development for the whole group, not just Lance, while having a “real world” villain. With Shiro gone and the group equilibrium thrown off it just makes for the perfect opportunity for Lotor to swoop in and fuck shit up.

Lotor also has the potential to swing the other way and still force the same character development with everyone but also add his character development in as well, making it possibility for Lotor’s character to be very similar to Lance’s own and they end up being very good for each other emotionally and Prince Lotor becomes an ally (much like zuko but shhhh).

Now on the flip side, if the writers choose to make Lotor an ally from the get go there is so much cliched comedy, awkward Lance get together material it makes my teeth hurt just thinking of the sweetness (while also kicking evil galra ass and looking great while doing it). This would show a very healthy relationship with a partner that can help Lance and the teams’ character develop the same way it would with villain Lotor, just without all the trauma and angst (but who wants that?).

And of course all the Klance jealousy and confession potential for either villain Lotor or ally Lotor. Any Lance ship for that matter tbh (i literally ship all the ships so trust me).

But even if the writers choose to just make Lotor just a friend, good or bad, instead of going the romantic route, the potential is still there.

So much can happen in this new season, things that I will probably not see coming, things that I want to happen might not happen, but I know with this show, I’ll be okay with that. And I am so hyped for it.

(Most of this is head cannon stuff or stuff I analyzed about the show and me just gushing about the wonderful potential this show has in general, but I wanted to share. Also this is a G rated kids show so it probably wont get too deep.)

Gross. It's pitiful, but you're well aware it really didn't happen that way, because Keith's close emotional bond is with Shiro, not Lance. Mentioning Sheith in your tags makes it show up in our search results - maybe don't do that, so we don't have to see your garbage.
