I found out that my mom has Amazon so I can watch hazbin hotel!! I'm super jazzed about this because it's one of the only times I've had access to popular media, I can finally relate to other people's interests!!! AAAHHHH!!!

I have to watch it on my own time because my parents are religious freaks and they would have a cow over this. I'm just so happy though I feel like a real part of a community instead of a weird little wannabe freak like usual.

This walled garden provides Quercus dentata (Daimyo oak, Japanese emperor oak) with the perfect sunny and sheltered position. This deciduous tree has very large, thick leaves that turn orange and then hang on the tree through winter like brown cardboard, until the new foliage emerges.

tbh i was isolated so much during my early stages of child development to the point where i basically have no nostalgic memories involving spending time with anyone, i just view people as decorations but i never appreciate them, i never formed the capability to appreciate them that much and i think that also ties in with my sexuality and why i'm aromantic and asexual

my nostalgic memories just consist of me and whatever environment i'm in, everything is about me and what i see but never about the people behind it because i am literally incapable of picturing them because i never learned how to care otherwise

i have no childhood friends, i moved schools constantly, friends never last if you're always moving past them, it's like being on a vehicle and watching all those people pass by, they're no longer people, they're just bypassers who you don't know at all because you're moving way too fast to get to know them

while it's definitely pretty lonely to not have anyone around that you just sorta,,, click. with

it does give you a greater sense of appreciation for the overall vibe of an environment and not just what people are doing, because if you don't care what people are doing you only just care about everything else besides people

it's like being fully blind, you can't see anything at all but your other senses are amplified because of it

when you're blind, you may not be able to appreciate the beauty of sights that everyone else sees, but you're able to appreciate every other sense more than anyone can ever imagine, and i find that beautiful

even though it's not very likely that i'll find someone else as human-interaction-starved as i am to appreciate the vibes of environments with, at least i'm still here for those curious as to what it's like to be like this

What are you most excited to write with this WIP?

The ending. As a writer who loves to build up to specific moments and gestures, this story requires SO MUCH planning and care to achieve the effect I want which will hopefully be a mindblowing one. And also a very sad realisation I hope. I want the reader to be SHOCKED. i need them GASPING. i need them HORRIFIED. but i can't do that until i write everything else first </3 but god yeah i really really really want to skip to teh ending

How has this WIP changed since the “daydream/brainstorm” stage?

Initially in the daydream stage, I modelled this as a short film script! But I don't write scripts often so I scrapped it and made it a short story instead. Additionally, as I wrote it I realised extra motifs and secrets to add! For instance, Kanto tells you something and will always draw back to that point but as I wrote this in, I realised it would add to the plot twist to have Nafiz never acknowledge this explicitly until the very end! Little things liek that which will require extra planning but contribute so greatly to the payoff.

OH YEAH AND LIKE. ITS CHANGED A LOT FROM ITS FIRST DRAFT. MOSTLY BC THE FIRST DRAFT WAS 9 PAGES OF HANDWRITTEN STORY WHICH I THEN. LOST IN BANGLADESH </3 But honestly i really love the rewrite more so tbh alhamdulillah that happened. Taught me to save my work properly too sdfogushdfg

Who is your favourite character in this WIP and why?

So few people even know about the wip but even fewer know that the two main characters, Kanto and Nafiz, are just my Twisted-Wonderland self-inserts re-contextualised to be humans of different ages to their ogs. This is a little on purpose though since the story is very close to my heart ;D

But in that regard, my favourite character is actually Kanto!! She's a really young girl in Sheltered but her dialogue, mannerisms and actions are so fun to write and most importantly of all, she is integral to the plot twist. I love how much depth I need to pour into her and she's the expositional character!
