Ok sorry but I'm gonna weeb out a little bit. I've been thinking about making a post like this for a few days now so bear with me.

Symphogear Spoilers below.

You know what I love most about Symphogear? You have an entirely selfless main character who uses their trauma and hardship as growth so others don't have to feel the same pain.

The only one of two survivors from a concert event turned tragedy, bullied by her peers and filled with survivors guilt, she adapts the term "Heiki, Hecchara" or "It's alright, I'll be fine." A term she learns from her - admittedly deadbeat- dad that gives her the motivation to move forward during times of hardship.

For 4 seasons, over and over, Hibiki is reaching out and trying to listen to her enemy's needs. In the very beginning of the show, she realizes that her Gungnir, being only her fists, also allows her to hold hands with those around her. That is her Armed Gear - not a missile, or a sword, or a scythe - but the ability to hold hands with anyone. [pix 1-3]

Then at the end of the show, she realizes that, for once in her life, it's okay for her to be just a tiny bit selfish.

Hibiki saves Miku from Shem-Ha not to save the world or even to save her friends, but because she loves her and needs her sunshine. The outcome is still the same but the motivation is full of such love and beauty this way. [pix 4-5]

It's so lovely to see selfless characters learning to be selfish from time to time. It's okay to reach out and grab for what you want.

Especially if what you want is a good and meaningful relationship with someone you hold incredibly dear to you.

Okay really long post just to say that symphogear is really gay at its core and I love it so much 🥲

I put this post off long enough. All right, first half of Shirabe Meshi chapter 26.

It starts off at Lydian. Kirika and Shirabe are deep in conversation and Serena notices that Shirabe is getting called to...the cafeteria?

Shirabe is confused, but she goes

When she gets there, she's greeted by none other than...Fine

Fine says that Enki had been wanting to eat her cooking again (leading Shirabe to the conclusion that chapter 19 wasn't a dream after all) so she came to Shirabe wanting to learn to make something herself

Fine is jealous because "(her) vessel captured Enki's stomach" and wants to make something that can satisfy him because SHE'S supposed to be the one who offered all she is to him as his priestess

And to add insult to injury, Enki can cook too because of course a god who gave humanity its knowledge can

Fine just wants to be able to do Those Three Things you offer when your husband comes home (dinner, bath, self) and meanwhile the women who work there are like "Ah a husband who can cook would be nice"

Shirabe decides to help because Fine did take that blow for her at Frontier

She settles on a meat stew. Fine wonders if that's okay because it's so simple. Shirabe answers that you can put a surprising amount of personality into such a simple dish just from your choices of meats and vegetables.

Another person enters the room

"Miku-san?"

Nope, it's Shem-Ha trying to figure out what Fine was up to because she keeps sneaking around.

Hibiki also bursts into the room demanding that she give Miku her body back, but Miku temporarily takes over to tell Hibiki that she's willingly letting her borrow it.

After that Hibiki asks Shirabe why "Ryoko-san" is there and learns about her wanting to cook for Enki. Hibiki wants to join the lesson too, because she also wants to be able to express her feelings to Miku through cooking.

Fine: "I once said you didn't know what it's like to be in love, but you do understand, don't you?"

So the lesson starts. Shirabe tells them to prepare the vegetables and uh...

"Don't do that with your mouth"

That's where the first half ends. Second half next week.

Limbus Company would not be in the verse. DonBrothers and King-Ohger are the only two Super Sentai sub-verses in my ideal verse.

My main OC-verse is one where all of these series exist in the same universe. Even Monster Girl Encyclopedia. Slavaria Cossack is a friend/weird harem group and is utterly shameless about it, with the same sort of chemistry that Clarkson/Hammond/May have. The 9-13 became members at various points after Sahaidachny's 'you're allowed to be you' arc. All of them are 15 in present day. 9-13 are based on existing characters in the same sense in which JJBA Stands are based on existing songs.

Note: 5 of my OCs in chronological order of meeting C.J.S. after his 'being able to be himself' revelation over the course of a few months - the stoic bodyguard-in-training Esmeralda Petersburg, the disciplinarian Tess Dileva, the poetic Kirumi Silkenstar, the spunky wannabe witch Karaina Caulton & the highly introverted loner Suki Ryushima - are derived from and inspired by existing OCs found on (y/n) x yandere quizzes on Quotev that I took a liking to thanks to the story/characters/detail/etc., like how much of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is inspired by Western songs. This includes their personalities. I took 5 such quizzes honestly answering the questions posed based on my personality and that of Clarkov J. Sahaidachny, my first and main OC, which are very similar in most ways but very different in some areas. These 5 were the results. As for the dere sides, they start out full on and become more mentally sound as time goes on. That part is inspired by the development of Mizore Shirayuki in Rosario + Vampire. It's how I have to do almost everything in life. Start out with a base, then slowly build it into my own thing. It's a bit annoying, but I make do with what I have.
