I hate you the way the shepherd dog must despise the ungrateful sheep that shun it despite them living under his shade.
Border collies are not good at defending livestock anyways. If I wanted to, I'd let the wolves eat you piece by piece. Sometimes I even think I should.

I avoided this comic for years because I thought, based on its advertising, that it'd be all style and no substance - all bark and no bite, you could say - and caught everyone's attention solely because of its nostalgia-fuel art style and presentation of itself as a talking animal story of the adult horror genre. Anyone remember that old Animal Planet series "Life After People" or something like that? In one episode they claimed that herding dogs have been so well bred by humans that they'll continue herding sheep without human intervention for the next thousand years. Anyone know if that's true and how do I adequately express my love for the goodest doggos who will continue to take care of their flocks long after humans are gone?
