absolutely adore that freddie lounds never faces consequences for her actions. she just shows up pisses off the most emotionally unhinged murderers for her own profit. then cashes a fat cheque and never has to deal with any real backlash whatsoever. incredible. inspiring. influential.
You know what's super cool and not at all fucked up:
Tracy-Ann Oberman is starring as Shylock in a reinvented Merchant of Venice, set during the Battle of Cable Street (when 3000 of the British Union of Fascists marched to the Jewish part of London and were repelled when the Irish, communists, socialists, various anti fascist groups came out and supported the Jews against this).
The irony of a woman starring in a play about defeating antisemitism and fascism being told not to go outside because of a danger of antisemitic attack should not be lost on anyone...
Well, it turns out I couldn't stay away from brittanies for long! I'm very happy to introduce Tanki Fire and Ice - her friends call her Aurora. She has big paw prints to follow but something tells me she's up to the challenge 💜
People are saying Rose's entire personality is based on her being trans, and it's just... not? I'm not sure we watched the same show. They had 1 hour to introduce us to multiple new characters, a new villain, Donna's life after the mind wipe, cool action scenes, and of course the heartwrenching reunion of Donna and the Doctor. And they still managed to tell us about what Rose is like.
She has a vivid imagination (from the metacrisis, but she doesn't know that yet), so she's into crafts and DIY. She uses her talents for art to save up money for her family. She's smart enough to notice it since I imagine her parents don't want to worry her about it. She has friends, aka Fudge, and I imagine there's more. She wasn't afraid to point out how the Doctor assumed the Meep's pronouns (she didn't know he's also genderqueer so lay off). She helped an alien who she should rightfully be terrified of, and even after she found out the Meep was being hunted, she risked her life trying to protect it. "Never mind me, we've got to save the Meep." Selfless, kind, compassionate, brave. Her being trans is an integral part of the story, so it makes sense that they would focus on it, but they still managed to wonderfully introduce us to a new character in the time they had.
OMG So many emotions with Brittany Snow's new clip of her on Call her daddy! Someone told her she was too big!?!? 😭 Which one?!?! 😭😭I knew Tyler was trash but now I really hate him. THis is gonna be great but also hear breaking 😭💙💜💙💜💙💜💙💜

Words can not describe how much I love tensura for how not great it is.
This novel series has plagued my mind for almost two years. My tiktok account is only tensura, my discord account is purely tensura, my twitter account? Tensura. Even my old wattpad account that I don't use is based around tensura.
And sure, I get interested into other things aswell, but they come and go (except space, the love of my life) but Tensura hasn't even wavered.
The amount of love I hold for this series about a stupid slime with stupid ideals and stupid friends is absolutely unbelievable.
Now, it's not that I think Tensura is the greatest thing ever, far from it. With just the anime alone, I've watched plenty of other animes that are far better written, eg, Hunter x Hunter, Bungou Stray Dogs, One Piece, etc.
Part 3 of @trixipixify and I Kintober series! This art is the most safe for work one so far, so you can click the chapters if you want to check out the first 2!
I finally got around to watching the entire Brittany's Call Me Daddy interview and not just the clips. (yesterday was not my day) .And it was so emotional, moving, and even funny. Although, I will admit I was in tears for most of the podcast. Brittany is simply amazing. Having my own struggles with Mental health, her story has helped me so much over the years, and she continues to do so. The way she has handled everything that has happened to her over the past few years is simply amazing. Everything she says just seems so wise, but she is also able to show that she is a real person who has flaws and can be vulnerable. She really is my hero, and I recommend that everyone listen to or watch it.
i started watching veep and it's kind of like the succession of sitcoms in the way that it all looks like a bunch of stock images of people in suits but instead of feeling deeply devastated watching it im giggling
