Chapter 1

Masterlist

"That's it? I got the good ending but why do I feel so unsatisfied with it?"

The city streets are bustling with noises from cars and trucks honking horns and screeching their tires to the clacking of people's shoes and idle chatter.

One of those people being you, (Y/N) (L/N), currently waiting at the cross walk for it to turn green so you can get back to work since its been up for a good 5 minutes since your lunch break ended.

"I only played it for the villianess anyways but in the end she died." mumbling to yourself and in truth that was truly the only reason you got hooked on the game after a Co-worker showed you the character , Sasha Evermore, who looked and acted exactly like you minus the master manipulator part. She was part of a otome game called “to catch a prince”, a game that popped out of nowhere and instantly became a hit amongst the crowd that includes you.

The weird part was as you started the game the parts with sasha would pang your heart with sadness,disgust, and anger but always written it off as indigestion or heartburn. You pitied her for some odd reason but others look at you crazy when you express this notation to them. Writing it off as just another one of your favs getters killed off to further write the protagonist’s narrative.

Sighing and holding the app down you press the tiny 'X' next to it and clicked the "delete app".

Only,it didn't delete. You repeated the same steps and still nothing. You hold it down and move it to ensure you're not crazy. that it was there. Trying one more time to do it; you never noticed how you were planted in the middle of the crosswalk. So into your own world you never heard the screams of the people who sat on the sidelines or the horn of the truck coming full speed and unable to hit the the brakes in time.

It was when you registered what was happening that is was to late. Your phone flee in the air and landed next to you with a cracked screen and fighting to stay on. Mangled body twitching in its last moment as people gather to gaze upon you like an animal in the zoo. Some calling the police and the trucker sputtering out apologizes. No one saw your eyes flicker to your screen that miraculously light up with a single message and angelic voice to accompany it " @яε ¥ꪮʊ яε@∂¥ ⊥ꪮ εҳ⊥я@ḉ⊥ ¥ꪮʊя яεṽεηɠε, ʟꪮ⊥⊥ʟε ꪮηε?"

Your brain bloated and swollen from impact that you couldn't recognize the familiar warm voice. It was in a instant your phone began to shake and shoot out a beam of white light that sucks you in as you succumb to darkness.

"He...llo? Hello~?"

Groaning in response and holding your head trying to register what is happening. Slowly blinking trying to adjust to the light in the room.

"You're finally up?" the soft voice next to you speaks sweetly to you as the clanking of cups and bowls hit eachother until they meet a bedside table.

Sitting up and looking over you are met with the sight of a long blue haired that framed a round brown woman. Her eyes are the darkest purple that had literal stars in place of pupils and her smile she stares at you with is the brightest stunning white. She stands in some sort of white sheer dress showing off her cleavage while she tilts forward to hand you the bowl of food.

You take it hesitantly and look from the bowl back up to the large woman a few times waiting for her to tell you that you're in heaven but nothing was said. The only thing you saw was her child like innocent aura as she stays seated close to the large bed you laid upon watching as she's aswaits for you're approval.

"I'm sorry but who are you… Where am I? Wasn't I...dead?" You push the ceramic bowl away and the feel of the deflation of the atmosphere around the woman's.

"oh? I um—I am sorry," she pokes her pointer fingers together and puffs out her cheeks, " I got caught up with meeting my favorite person and I didn't bother to introduce myself. My name is Hesitia . I am the entity that brought you back to life...twice. Kind of hurt that my idol doesn't remember me." She snaps her fingers making the bowl disappear.

"Brought back? Died twice?" You could see her nod her head to confirm your mini question, " what do you mean by idol? No wait, How did I die twice?"

"That's a lot to explain. Come,let me show you." She stands at her full height of 7'2 while pushing her hair behind her ears while extending a hand out to you.

Taking it without hesitation. Being determined to find out anwsers as you get pulled to your feet. Not expecting to be wearing the same sheer white gown as the large woman but more tailored to your size.

She brings you to an open space that has tall and pristine pillars surrounding the large area. She pulls you into her side and drape her arm over your shoulder.

"You have no sense of personal space ,huh?" you ask peeking up at her.

"nope," she giggles and pops her 'p'," now shush and watch." Waving her hand the area goes pitch black except two large orbs that held two human beings wrapped up in themselves. Hesitia and yourself walk up to them your steps illumanting one by one all the way.

You put your hand against the one you couldn’t recognize with such care and stare at it with awe, " is that...me?" You look back at the brown skinned deity with stars in your eyes.

"Yes,those are both versions of yourself. Right now your soul is preserved in this room I created when you first died," she puts a hand on your shoulder as if she knew the next question, " like I've stated before this isn't your first time being dead, my little one. The first you had met a unfair end. To make is simplier, Have you ever heard of the woman Sasha evermore?"

"You mean the villainess from how to capture a prince?"

"precisely,lovely. Except sasha is actually you. I made the game for you not to forget where you started. But I guess now that I say it out loud, its confusing and complicated. I'm still new to the whole resurrection plot. I was just so excited to meet my idol." She scratches her cheek in embarrassment.

"how can there be two of me? And how am I your idol?"

" well I've been assigned to watch over you since I came out of goddess training ,hehe. You were so powerful and demanding in everything you did since you were born. It made me become quite a fangirl," she giggles," how there is two of you is like what I stated before. Your first life you had died by your one true ,love. So in love you had choose to walk down the road of being naive and oblivious to his actions.Personally,He was not my cup of tea but sadly I can’t interfere. That’s a Different department and lots of paperwork I don’t wanna do. But to sum up the rest you were put to death after being framed and I as your personal goddess and guardian chose to strike a deal with you."

" Can I ask what deal former me made?"

" of course!" She claps her hands together and pulling them apart as a golden contract is constructed in the space," when I brought your soul here the first time. You told me you wanted revenge on those who wronged you. Your heart was tainted black and as the rules state I needed you to have a pure and clean one in order to make that happen. But since you are my #1 I slightly bent the rules with some help, “she leans in to whisper yell , between you and me I owe favors to a lot of my older sisters.” She squished the golden paper making it disappear.

"So am I officially dead now?"

"No you aren't dead, silly. What would happen to the story! I just had to wipe your memories and put you in your once current timeline to make your heart pure again. Sorry about the truck. I couldn’t think of another way,but now what I can finally do," she gathers you in a hug and squeezes you letting your feet dangle off the ground, " is send you back to before you met your unfortunate demise by that vile woman."

"Vile woman?"

"Tut tut. I can't give away to much information or I'd get in trouble with the big guy upstairs." the dark space disappear and restore the room to its originality as she carries you back to the bed.

"I'm going to put you back to sleep because I can’t keep you here for long but when you awake you should be back in your past self’s body and you should retain memories from your modern self and this conversation. As I can not interfere I can only allow you to have a few memories of your previous life. The rest you will have to discover over time. Now you might feel a bit dizzy it’s a side effect of gaining your past memories,” she places a kiss on your forehead, “Please remember I'll be with you, (y/n) and will check in on you."

It was her final words to you before putting you back in a state of slumber.memories from a being you couldn't remember come back to you like a train hitting you.

"lady (y/n), you are to ne the betroth to prince izuku Midoriya." You at a young age are holding hands with a green haired boy that looks to be of the same age.

"She pushed me down, Zuku" the green haired boy is now holding a brown haired girl closely to him as you’re on the ground. In a crowded place.

"Disgusting vile woman. Such a title for an orphan" this time you’re in a col dripping wet cell. Chains bounding your legs and hands together as a older man shoos away the knight that was guarding it.

Your eyes shoot open to light shining from a large window at the side of the bed. Blinking the sleep away as you look around the decorated room. Your first instinct was to look into the mirror that is across from your bed and you remember the opening scene of the game. The pajamas where the same as the villainess in the game. You try to move from the bed to gain a closer look but a hit of wooziness and a turning stomach hits you like a bat and you fall over. You try to grab onto the bed for footing but you miss it by a inch thus making you hit your head and passing out on the ground.

Shigaraki x POC Reader

Kinda just a headcanon tbh. Not proofread at all.

Shiggy waking up to soft feather like kisses on his face. He stirs just a little and opens his eyes once he’s flat on his back. When his vision focuses he hums when he meets eyes with his lover. The sun shining through the blinds onto her skin, bonnet hanging low because of her fro stuffed inside. She had taken her recent braids out so she could get her hair did again just for the occasion but got lazy and decided to give her hair a break. He liked when her natural hair was out anyway. Her pale colored eyes stared into his with such love it made his chest flutter.

“Morning..” his voice low, deep and raspy from his sleep. It clung, making his voice rumble sending shivers up her spine. Her hand reached up and softly stroked his cheek. Her touch was so delicate like he’d break if pressure was applied. The moment was so precious it made a swelling feeling build in Shigaraki’s chest. Was something going on? She’s normally like this but it seems different. He didn’t even know he aged another year today.

“Happy birthday Tenko.” Oh. That’s what it was. He couldn’t even be shocked that he forgot, too chocked at how his real name slid so smoothly off her tongue. Her voice sounded like silk, smooth like cold soba on a Friday afternoon at the downtown diner they go to every once in a while. So filled with love, tears stung the corner of his eyes and filled his waterline. Her hands were now both on his cheeks, softly rubbing the apples of his cheeks. They’ve used to be so rough, calloused and sullen but now? Now they’re full and soft. Still a bit rough but old habits die hard they say. The pink in them never show brighter than when she’s with him. He doesn’t know why he’s crying. Why he’s so emotional. Maybe it’s because he didn’t think he’d make it to another birthday. He’s forgotten his birthday so much he didn’t think he’d even remember when it was. Maybe it was the love and overwhelming amount of emotion that she shared with him just from a few words.

Or maybe it’s because she saved him. Saved him from going so far down in a trench that he wouldn’t come back and feel emotion ever again. Wet fat tears slid down his cheeks. Her eyes never stopped looking at him. Never looked away, never narrowed in judgment, never pitying him. It just showed love. She loves him. She loves him so much.

“I love you Tenko. I’m so happy I could be here for this day. Thank you for letting me stay, for letting me love you. You deserve so much and I know I can’t give you the world like you want but even so—“ she could finish. Not if he sat up so fast it gave her whiplash. Not when his lips met hers with such urgency, such fevor, so desperate. So desperate to show her that she’s already given him the world. The world he wants, the one he wants is the one with her in it. The one they are in right now, where she’s in it everyday if his life. That’s all he wants.

“I love you.”

“I love you. I love you. I love you—“ every kiss, every bite, every suck on her pretty pink lips he mutters his undying love to her. Her giggles soon sound off as he’s soon towering over her on the soft pillowy bed sheets. He soon stops his assault on her lips and holds himself up on his hands. Looking down at his love. The one who saved his life. She’s smiling, smiling so softly he just might cry again. Not like he stopped anyway. The sun rose a bit higher since so it’s rays we’re shining bright and right onto his Angel, so etheral, so bright, so…his. She lives for him and he knows it. She proves it to him everyday.

People fear him. They shake and tremble and the very mutter of his name but only if they knew.. it’s not him they should be afraid of. If they knew the things he’d do for her, they’d fear her instead. One word and it’s done.

A smile. It unknowingly made its way onto his face. So soft, so small but so beautiful. She thought it was so beautiful. To her he’s the most precious person, most beautiful, gorgeous being she’s ever seen, met. She loves this man. And she will remind him now and forever.

Villain Reader Part 2

When you woke up, you were wondering where you were. Nothing in this room looked familiar. someone knocked on the door and you turned your head and said “come in”. A man who look like he was in his late 40s walked up to where you were laying . “ Hello Ms.l/n I hope you had a good nap , are you feeling ok” he asked. You’re still confused on where you are and you wonder where All might was. “Where am I and where is all might” you asked “is he ok”? “ to answer your first question you’re a central hospital and to answer your second one yes all might is ok” he told you“ now Miss I have to run some tests to make sure you’re ok please sit still”.

20 minutes later

“Ok it seems like we might have to put a cast on your leg” he told you “It will take a little while but as soon as we’re done, you can get out of here and go back home” . After he said that he left to go get your cast. You were still confusing on what happened , what happened so bad that now you have to have a cast on your leg. After five minutes, he came back with a nurse walking behind him. “ OK if you can lift your leg a little bit, this will not hurt” said the nurse.

10 minutes

“ok you’re free to leave now , but please schedule an appointment to make sure everything is healing right” the man told you. With that him, and the nurse behind him left the room. after a few more minutes, Aizawa and all might entered the room. Aizawa was the first one to speak up “are you crazy what the hell? What are you doing outside at night”?. “ Aizawa’s is right it’s dangerous walking at night, especially being a UA student” all might said. You didn’t wanna explain the long story of what happened so you decided to sum it up. “ my classmates were being jerks, and I just wanted to let off some steam” you said “ it’s better than what Bakugo and Midoriya did”. Aizawa getting tensed said “ this is not about them This is about you a lot of people already think you’re the UA traitor because of what your mother did don’t give them more reasons to think like that”. “Now come on we’re gonna drive you back to the dorms and please do not cause any more fights with people” Aizawa said looking away. You are annoyed if you blame the fight on you, but you decided you would tell him what really happened later. When you were finally in the car, you decided you would take a nap because you felt a little tired.

At UA

When you woke up, you were tucked in your bed. You’re feeling a little thirsty, so you decided you would go get some water. You were trying to walk as quietly as you could but the cast made it hard to so , so you decided to try to put one of your slippers on the cast to see if it will let you walk quietly. And surprisingly it worked. And when you were finally in the kitchen, you heard some people talking in the lounge. It sounded like a Aizawa , Iida and momo talking about something important. You didn’t wanna listen in because it could be about some ones private life. You’re about to walk back when you heard your name. You got a little curious, so you decided to listen a bit more. “Aizawa isn’t it suspicious that she was walking out that late at night , that’s basically telling us she’s the traitor” you heard Iida say. You were shocked they think your the UA traitor , you know the public thought that maybe you were bad news because your mother but you didn’t know your own classmates, thought that. You heard momo speak up and say “Iida’s right she can harm us and our classmates. We’re just showing our concerns”. “Concern” you thought to yourself the only thing those two are concerned about is how it would make them look bad if one of there classmates were a villain. You decided you didn’t want to listen anymore, and he went back to your room.

You were thinking about what to do when suddenly you got a knock at your door. You decided to shut your eyes and pretend you’re asleep. Whoever was there open the door and walked up right next to your bed. I shut your little and you decided to open your eyes. You saw that it was Iida. You were scared. Maybe he saw you listening into the conversation. You decided to be the first want to speak and asked “what do you want”. “ I just want to apologize for what happened” Iida said. You were thinking, maybe he didn’t see you watching them so you decided to respond back with “ it’s whatever the past is the past”. You were for sure he didn’t notice you, but then he grabbed your arm, leaned in and said “ I know you were listening, gonna prove to aizawa that you were the traitor, and I’m gonna make us all safe again”. Him gripping on your arm started to hurt so you tried to pull away but he was not letting go. “Iida” you said now raising your voice “ let me go that hurts”. You’re about to kick him to make him that go when someone walked in. It was momo. Oh no, you thought she also thought you were traitor so maybe she’ll probably help Iida hurt you. “Iida come on this is not the way to get justice” she said you Iida. She then turned her attention to you and said “ y/n I can’t believe you do this , I can’t believe you would betray us”. Holding Iida arm, she left the room. by this time you started crying. you were wondering what did you do to them? Why are they so cruel to you? Why are they blame you for your mothers actions? you love your friends and want to make them feel safe, so you decided the best thing to do was to leave. He started to pack your clothes and all your essentials. You don’t have much so it’s easy to pack at all. When you left the room you went to the back door of the dorms so no one will see you leaving.

On the streets

After walking for a few minutes, you decided to check your phone to check the time , it was 11:57 PM. He didn’t have anywhere to go so he decided he would rent a motel for a little while until you can find a place to live. You checked your phone to see where the closest motel is and it was a 15 minute walk. The bad thing is it started raining so you needed be quick. After a few minutes of walking in the rain you decided to take a small break at a bus stop. After a few minutes, the rain started to dumb down a little bit so you decided to start walking again you were almost at the motel when you felt a hand out your throat. Whoever was behind, you said “don’t move or I’ll turn you to dust”

YN and Daniel were safe, hidden in the dark. Or so they thought.

The siblings bided their time before the opportunity presented itself. Aizawa had decided that the scolding they got and the lock on the door, he could go out for patrols. He had to anyways as a hero.Once the lock clicked and an hour passed, YN grabbed their duffel bag and her favorite pocket knife, Daniel grabbed Lula and handed YN the key. With one last look around the place, YN said goodbye to what little normalcy they both had, then went to unlock the door.

As soon as they were out of the building, Daniel and YN made their way to the one place they could think of. The book shop Daniel went to once. No one else could’ve known that they were there. Taking advantage of the free wifi, they started a call to Snow. YN bounced her leg up and down in impatience that did not simmer once the Hello Kitty logo flashed on.

“Oh hello you two. Been a while, hasn’t it?” The voice on the other mentioned nonchalantly.

“Listen. That plan you had? About leaving? Is it still on the table?” YN hastily asked, looking around in worry.

“Maybe. It might take time to get it all in order. I need to know if you’re gonna puss out again, cause I can’t just look through the realities on a whim. Plus I got finals and exams to study for, so that’s just.. consuming me.” Snow mentioned offhandedly.

“please..” Daniel whispered. His desperate tone seemed to snap Snow out of their nonchalant attitude.

“Daniel, YN, did someone hurt you?”

“No. But Izuku did find us. He called himself my brother. Now he knows where we were and who we hung out with. Snow, we need to leave.” YN impatiently got out.

“Okay look. I know you want to say goodbye to your Kirishima. So do that. I’ll get some arrangement together to bring you to my lair. I’ll meet you in the Kamino ward. Stay safe.” With that the call ended.

YN’s shaky hand sent a quick message to the redhead who became very close to her. Asking him to meet her near the fountain that they liked. It was a dark night so the fountain was practically abandoned. YN and Daniel were hidden in the almost dark.

Or so they thought.

As YN absentmindedly paced farther away, her mind wandering to a million things, all suddenly stopped at the sound of a body thudding on the ground.

Daniel, her brother, who she swore to keep safe, was on the ground. He gave her a small look of fear before he passed out from the sleeping dart in his shoulder. YN began to hyperventilate and started to run to her brother. The feet between them felt like miles.

“Daniel!” YN shouted, but her body was held back by her worst nightmare. Izuku held her arms in his scarred hands. The moonlight contrasting his light scarred hands to her brown thin arms. She only looked at him once then turned her head back to see the known villain with the hand on his face and a man who looked like a magician. With a touch of the magician’s hands, Daniel was sucked into what looked like a small marble then the ball was taken by the hand villain. “No! No! Daniel!”

No matter how much she screamed and kicked and thrashed, YN could not stop the monster who was taking her brother nor could she stop the crazy person who gripped her arms tight. It felt like time was in slow motion and yet also at lightspeed. The hands that held her wrapped around her waist, letting her arms and hands reach out in a vain attempt to reach Daniel.

The man with the hand on his face gave no reaction to her tears. He merely nodded in a sarcastic manner to the one who held YN. Almost in a mocking thanks to the boy who only glared in return. “I’ll be back one day for you, little sister.” He hissed and walked through a black portal.

YN stared in silence for a moment before screaming in devastation. Her last family was gone. The monster had even taken their cat who had curled on the boy. She was alone now. She had no one now. Her screaming turned to hyperventilation as she began grabbing at the hands that held her.

“Let me go… Let me go! Let me go! LET ME GO!” YN screeched, turning around to slap the body that held her down. “I hate you! I hate you! I’ll never forgive you for this!”

“YN stop it.” Izuku seemed almost emotionless. He dodged his head at her weak attempts to hit him. He found a soft nerve point and pinched it. Knocking her out.

When YN awoke later, she was back in her familiar closet that she would be put in when she acted out. All that effort, all that hope for nothing. She couldn’t even keep her brother with her. Now she was back where she started but now it was worse than before. YN now had no family, no one. All alone.

Kirishima looked around the fountain. YN wasn’t here. Her bag was left so she must’ve been taken or something. He knew YN wasn’t one to just go without saying something. As he got more worried, the sound of a video call going off from a laptop caught his attention. Once he answered it, a Hello Kitty profile lit up the screen.

“YN. It’s not safe where you are! YN?!” a stranger's voice answered.

“What happened to YN? Who are you? Where is she?” Kirishima asked, becoming more and more worried.

“They’re gone? I’m too late. Listen, YN and Daniel got taken. Keep this laptop. I will tell yo-” Snow was cut off by Kirishima who was too angry to hear more.

“No. Tell me what’s really happening. How do you know YN and Daniel? Did Midoriya hurt them? What is going on?!”

“Shut up. Listen to me if you want your little crush to get out of this okay then you have to help me. Now will you help me?”

Kirishima paused and looked around at the dark area. Daniel must’ve been so scared to be taken in such a dark place. It made him so mad to think the last place of freedom they had was covered in darkness.

“Okay. I’ll help you.”

-> the first few days were filled with denial. you could still hear him and his grumpy voice. you saw him everywhere. when you tripped and dropped your bags when you were out getting groceries, you could have sworn the guy helping you get your things had the same smirk as ‘suki. but you knew it couldn’t be; your katsuki was gone.

-> the second week was the hardest. denial turned to grief. you blamed everyone, but especially yourself. if only you’d been quicker to respond. you could have helped him. you were the scarlet witch. all the power in the world was at your finger tips and yet you still couldn’t save your love.

-> the third week was when things started to clear up. you forced yourself to act rational and think rational. katsuki wouldn’t want you to act this way. he would call you soft. maybe that’s what you were - maybe you were soft. maybe that’s why everyday was a struggle for you. everything felt so much more difficult than anything had ever been before that fateful day.

-> it was the fourth week when you had an epiphany. you felt stupid for not thinking of it any sooner. just two weeks ago you were reminding yourself that you were “the scarlet witch”. why did you not fully grasp what that meant?! you could just move to a new universe to live with your lover again. you kept forcing yourself to accept reality that you forgot you could change reality. it wasn’t hurting anyone, so you could still comfortably tell your ‘suki you were still a hero. everything would be fine.

-> building an entire universe didn’t seem that difficult. you’ve gone through more taxing things. you’ve had many a dream of the perfect world. a world where you wouldn’t have to worry about what the future may bring or have to stress about working. you had all the inspiration in your mind that you could ever need.

-> it was the picture perfect world. it was a quiet town you could peacefully live the rest of your life in. the yard stretched for as long as you wanted it to. there was room for children and/or pets to run around in. there was just enough space in your house for it to not feel cramped, but also too much so as to not feel empty and lifeless.

-> maybe there would be a pool in the back. a patio to kick back and enjoy the most beautiful conversations with your ‘suki. he’d hold his beautiful lady tight and scoff everytime you flirt, both of you ignoring the scarlet that dusted his cheeks and the way his smirk became more of a genuine smile with each passing minute.

-> you had missed him so much.

You Know What Else is an Issue in the BNHA Fandom?

(For the topic of this posts, I have touched on it before and you can checked those posts out here, here, here & here.)

LONG POST AHEAD!

Okay, you know what else is an issue with the BNHA fandom besides the homophobia and some of you are really too quick to tell people to “KYS” over characters and ships?

Damn racism.

Right off the bat, before any of you come into my inbox, do not try to tell me otherwise. And I’m honestly not surprised. Racism has always been an issue in the anime community. Black and brown skinned people can’t even cosplay in peace! But today, I’m focusing on the BNHA fandom since that’s the one I’m more active in currently. And yes, Miruko will be brought up quite a bit. She won’t be the only one though!

Starting off, I need people who watch and read this series to understand that almost everyone that has appeared in BNHA is someone of color. Almost every character we see live in Japan and actually have Japanese names. Just because the protagonist has green hair does not mean Midoriya isn’t someone of color. He is in fact, someone of color. Just because Bakugou has light hair does not mean he isn’t someone of color. Just because All Might is based off American comic book heroes does not mean he isn’t someone of color. These are human characters with Japanese names. Based in Japan. They're Asian. People of color. Think.

With that said, to the guy who made that “Hawks is white” post on Twitter (if I remember correctly), to hell with you.

Now some of you may be like “racism… colorism…? not here…”

No, no, it’s visible in this fandom. Some of you just want to not see it because you don’t think it’s a big issue. It is. And it sucks that a place where people should have fun got to face this because some of you are assholes. First!

I, for one, have nothing against canon character x reader works. In fact, I do follow blogs who post them and I do find them enjoyable. I will not bypass that some of you who write them also like to bring race into it. I’m not talking about the CC x Black(or another race) reader thing or drawing OCs. I’m talking about when you write any CC x black reader fic, STOP HAVING THE CANON CHARACTER DEFENDING THE READER FROM A RACIST ISSUE.

It is annoying and it’s already overdone in a lot of other canon media. Yes, racism is a big issue as I said. That’s what this whole post is about! But do my fellow POC and I have to see it in FANFICTION? For once, can I see a BNHA character compliment the reader? Or talk about quirks? Go on dates? Shoot, have a beach episode! Does racism always have to be the entertainment in fanfiction? Do we always to suffer before we’re happy? What’s wrong with the reader just having a good time without having to deal with being called slurs or “Oh, can I touch your hair”? I don’t want to be reminded of high school, thank you. Or even face other human issues like PTSD? Or not sleeping because of a nightmare? Or just being emotionally exhausted from exams? Anything but having to face racism, jeez.

Another thing that bothers me is the treatment of characters who happen to be brown skinned. There happened to be only TWO major (or recognizable) characters with brown skin.

You already know I’m going to bring up Miruko as one of them. It is unfair how she is treated in this fandom. I see quite a bit of “Miruko should have died” or “She’s not important” or “She’s so aggressive” or “She sucks” posts. I have became best friends with the damn filter and block options because of it. I see a lot of these posts and these posts be coming from the same people who adore characters like Bakugou, Dabi, Shigaraki and so on.

Now, I don’t hate any of those characters. Bakugou is one of my faves. But I’m not stupid. I find it odd that Bakugou can be loved by so many people and yet the same people have hatred for Miruko. They have practically the same personality! Hmm… It’s straight up colorism (because they are both Japanese) here (and misogyny).

When Miruko attacks Shigaraki, some of you want to be like “she should have died” or “she attacked him first”. Well, duh! She’s a Pro Hero who at the end of the day is trying to stop a madman from killing other people. All of you really just want her to die because she has brown skin, just say that. If she had lighter skin, you all would have said “Horikoshi stay killing female characters” off.

Some of you want to preach about “strong, badass women”, but I don’t see that support with Miruko as often as I seen it for Uraraka, Toga, Midnight and other women in BNHA. You see a brown skinned woman and immediately hate her for it. I don’t even think it’s because she’s aggressive. You all drop your panties for Shigaraki who ATTEMPTED TO KILL KIDS IN THE BEGINNING OF THE SERIES. WHO BROUGHT A BUNCH OF VILLAINS THAT COULD HAVE KILLED SAID KIDS. WHO RUINED A KID'S DAY AT A MALL WHEN HE SHOULD JUST BE HANGING OUT WITH HIS FRIENDS. The same Shigaraki who has a HIGHER BODY COUNT than Miruko. Yet, some of you act like she’s the killer? Like she's a bad person.

She has defeated Nomu and that’s about it. She didn’t attempt to kill kids, let alone abuse them.

I get that Shigaraki has a tragic backstory. But at the end of the day, he’s still a villain. He is a bad person and if Midoriya saving him from AFO doesn't work, the next best thing is to mercy kill him. When he killed Cathleen I’ve seen posts saying “I already knew her” and “Another female character is gone, not surprised”. When Miruko got attacked? “Shigaraki should have killed her” and “she deserves it”. So no compassion for Miruko, huh? Got it. You don’t like brown skinned characters, yep. I see.

I have a confession. I tolerate Shigaraki. He used to be a favorite villain of mine, but he got demoted. Don't hate him, but tolerate him because of all the hate comments I got about Miruko a while back. I don’t hate him because I do have some cool mutuals who like him and I sympathize with his backstory. But I doubt he’ll ever be a favorite of mine again because the amount of hate I see from Miruko haters also be Shigaraki defenders. You can defend him all you like, I don’t mind that at all. I do the same with Miruko. But because a lot of you have lessen my liking for Shigaraki because of your crystal clear reasons for hating her. I have only 2 edit posts for Shigaraki right now because of that. And it took me a long time to even decide to go forth with them. I almost deleted them.

And it just doesn’t stop there with Miruko. When Anairis Quiñones was cast to voice Miruko, there was so many disgusting comments of “she doesn’t sound Black enough”. Yet, hold on! I didn’t see any comments like that for Hawks and Mahoro from the second BNHA movie. Both voiced by Black people (Zeno Robinson even got an award for voice acting by Crunchyroll back in 2021.)

Easy answer to why there wasn’t comments about their voices. When people look at Miruko, they see a Black woman. They don’t think she could be just a dark skinned Japanese person. They identified her with “if they have brown skin, they’re Black” and thought Anairis didn’t sound black enough for the role because they wanted Miruko to sound how people usually want Black women to sound like, which is “ghetto”. There is no such thing as “sound Black enough”. Don’t be ignorant. Don’t say a Black person isn’t Black because they don’t fit stereotypes. Miruko wasn’t meant to sound Black. They just cast a wonderful voice actress who fit the part just as they did when they cast Justin Briner to play Midoriya, Clifford Chapin to play Bakugou, Eric Vale to play Shigaraki, Alexis Tipton to play Hatsume, and so on.

It’s not just the mistreatment with Miruko.

Rock Lock exists, too and I’m going to need him to stop being forgotten and disrespected, too.

Rock Lock’s VA, Gabe Kunda, said something during one of the con interviews that rubbed me the wrong way. He said that when people saw Rock Lock’s debut episode he had gotten messages about how people weren’t happy with Rock Lock. He laughed it off and whatnot, but just the tone of his voice already clued me in he got a lot of hate messages. A Black man got hate comments. Now, keep in mind, Rock Lock is one of the few adults of the series who looked at the students and saw them as what they are. CHILDREN. He had a point that it was questionable that high students, the majority of them only in their first year, was at a meeting about facing yakuza. Rock Lock’s VA got hate because Rock Lock made a good damn point. As much as I love the series and other series like it, I won’t deny that it is pretty messed that there are children FIGHTING WARS.

It sucks that Rock Lock and Miruko along with their VAs got hate and yet… I don’t hear that for any other character and VA. The only other VA I can think of that has had similar experience is Brina Palencia over voicing Mineta. I want to say a very “fuck you” by the way to anyone who has sent hateful messages to VAs just for voicing characters. Like an enormous “fuck you”.

And of course, to all you racists.

Gabe Kunda and Anairis Quiñones shouldn't have to deal with racism in this fucking fandom. Same goes for any voice actor of color for BNHA and any other anime. They should enjoy voicing these characters like everyone else. Gabe even mentioned how excited his younger brother was to tell his friends "Hey, my brother voices Rock Lock"! As an older sister and someone who is Black, it got to me. These people are PEOPLE. HUMAN BEINGS! THEY HAVE FEELINGS, TOO!

Continuing on with that, it will always bother me that people hate on Rock Lock when this man was thinking like a father, a whole family man. He had a point when he said what he said. Be damned he was right, too, given what happened and what’s going on. Really, out of all the adults, Rock Lock is probably the most smartest and sensible one when it comes to thinking about the children. Yes, they’re training to be heroes, but damn can they be kids, too? (AFO, I hate you for starting all this. Also previous generations.) You all love Dadzawa, but hate on someone who is an actual dad who when he was stabbed by crazy ass Toga thought about his family. He thought about his wife and his newborn son. But all you jerks saw is "another brown skinned character for me to hate, yay"!

And with Miruko, how does she suck? How? She is the highest ranked woman in the hero ratings (personally, I feel like she should be the current #1). She works with her strength, skills, and legs. She doesn’t have fire power, special feathers, telepathy, none of that. She’s literally just jumping around and yet she managed to be #5. I don’t see Mt. Lady up there, Ryukyu is only #10. Yet, she sucks. Okay. I see how it is.

Oh, and with all the fanservice shots? I see so many of you bring it up when it comes to Miruko, but I don't see that same energy with other female Heroes. For fuck's sake, Mt. Lady's debut was an ass shot. There's even a later shot of her ass again and you all dog on Miruko so much.

Truth be told, I’ll let it slide if you dislike Miruko just because she’s not your type of character, same deal with Rock Lock. But if you hate her yet love Bakugou I’m going to side eye you. If you hate Rock Lock but love Aizawa I'm going to question you.

I’m going to think you hate these characters simply for their skin tone despite sharing the same characteristics as other characters you love. It's real fucked up that out of all the characters in the franchise two of them who have brown skin are some of the highest hated characters.

𓂃 I do not own My Hero Academia or Moriarty the Patriot.(Name) and a few OCS belong to me. 𓂃

this book will not contain any specific characteristics (hair, height, race etc.). I will have my own personal interpretation of her but her design is yours to imagine. This is a reader insert after all. The only mentioned characteristic will be her red eyes. That is all.

(On that note, her family will be white. That doesn't mean she will be though because she's adopted. As for Louis in this book, you can choose whether you're biologically related or not but you will have a brother-sister dynamic.)

• (Name) will be female and use she/her pronouns.

•(Name) will be a female version of the character "William james moriarty". Her name in this will be 'Celeste' but it will be constantly referred to that it isn't her real name and just the name she had taken on after stealing her adoptive sister's identity. THIS DOES NOT MEAN ITS AN X OC STORY

• (name) will have the tendency to not be a great person sometimes. We all have flaws, so it's only reasonable that she will too.

•some of the older characters will be aged down (e.g. shigaraki will be 18 ish). These relationships will usually be between the Mc and villains so they aren't meant to be healthy and this isn't me justifying anything. It just makes the story less weird if a 20 something year old isn't obsessing over a 16 year old girl.
