I’m assuming we would both put akeshu on tjr ‘makes sense and compels me’ quadrant but I’m curious as to ur headcanons re: the female phantom thieves…. what abt ann/shiho, makoto/ann, or makoto/haru? what are ur ship preferences hehe

Ann/Shiho are absolutely wonderful, and I love them dearly. Not much to really add there other than they find each other in every AU I've got, and I feel as though they're the type of people who are able to put in the work to maintain a relationship even when they're apart.

Makoto/Haru... it compels me mostly when they're exes. I'm sorry, but Haru being the most vocal about how much she hates cops is just not gonna go well if Makoto really stays on that path, and I'm a sucker for hurt, so I think she would have to make the incredibly tough decision to end things. Their breakup is one of my favorite little subplots in space pirate au (catboy bebop) tbh.

Makoto/Ann. Their scene where Makoto apologizes and they go out for crepes is really cute, and I can see where people are coming from with it. But otherwise, I'm extremely neutral and indifferent, sorry!

Okie dokie. I will not do Makoto x Futaba and Haru x Futaba fyi because those have way too wide an age gap same with the two of them and Sumi

Shihoann: This is a very good ship with a lot of really good feelings behind it and a ton of fans but it suffers because Shiho is kind of a… non character? (I get booed and tomatoes are thrown at me) now I know we get a lot of stuff hearing about her from Ann but… that’s it. We hear about her. Shiho is basically a tool in the narrative to develop Ann and not her own character, which means you don’t have a lot to work with for the ship. Hardcore shippers do what they can though and I am here for it.

Makoann: So I’m fucking obsessed with these two. Like THE enemies to lovers prep x criminal wlw ship. The fact they’re so similar in so many ways, used by the adults, seen as nothing but their pets by the people around them, the fact Ann herself falls into this trap seeing Makoto as nothing more than this, their friendship, the way they’re constantly hanging out in synch once Makoto joins and Ann is always telling her how awesome she is, they’re in my heart.

Anntaba: Yeah I see it. Model x nerd. Good aesthetic. Ann would definitely listen to Futaba infodump. Height difference. They’ve got it.

Annharu: So I’m gonna be honest and say, I view Haru as aroace, so that’s gonna get in the way of my ship opinions, but…. Yeah. Serviceable.

Annsumi: Why isn’t this a thing, I want it tattooed over my eyeballs, model x gymnast, big appetites, big hearts, this is a no brainer.

Tae x Sae: So I already don’t like Sae much, but when I see this pairing, all I think about is how Sae tried to launch a false abuse case against Sojiro to take his child away from him for information, and Tae, who also had the legal system unfairly pitted against her and who had a child she cared about almost die because of it, would want nothing to do with her.

Tae x Kawakami: good shit 👌 tired ladies, Joker sets them up on a date.

Makoharu: So I already stated that I think Haru is aroace, there’s a lot of cute art for it though.

Sumitaba: I’m pretty sure this ship is only so popular because it’s a means of getting Sumi out of the way of Akeshu but WHATEVER! Redhead glasses gays. I’m not complaining about having a cute wlw ship.

Top 10 Persona ships/Top 5 Persona 5 ships

1 - Ren Amamiya X Goro Akechi, I used to constantly change favourite ship for Ren until Royal came out and now my brain is in constant Akeshu mode. I still enjoy other ships of course, it's just this one is my favourite.

2 - Yu Narukami X Yosuke Hanamura, surprising no one whatsoever. I don't even know how to explain why I love these two so much but chances are you already know because everyone seems to love these two idiots.

3 - Takuto Maruki X Rumi, yes I know like two other people care about this ship, let me live they're adorable and I wish they could have had the happy life they were planning to have together.

4 - Sumire Yoshizawa X Futaba Sakura, these two are so dang cute. Again, no words, they're just adorable together and I can see them tagging along with Ren and Goro for a double date just to irritate them (mostly Goro)

5 - Ann Takamaki X Shiho Suzui, do I even need to explain why I love these two so much???

6 - Tatsuya Suou X Jun Kurosu, aka the 90's version of Akeshu that Atlus actually allowed to be gay. But in all seriousness, their relationship is written so well and I love how Tatsuya supports Jun and lets him know that he does deserve redemption.

7 - Kanji Tatsumi X Naoto Shirogane, aka the two characters that helped my fourteen year old self realise that she wasn't straight. These two are still way up there in my favourite characters and again, they're adorable together. Plus, if you wanna make it even cuter, throw Rise into the mix as well.

8 - Minato/Minako Arisato X Ryoji Mochizuki, both versions are great but in the Femc route, you can really see just how deeply Ryoji cares for them (Since y'know, you're actually allowed to date him that way) but there's just such a bittersweet tone to this pairing and I kinda love it.

9 - Junpei Iori X Chidori Yoshino, god these two are just so freaking cute. I really enjoy how falling for Chidori causes Junpei to grow. I mean he says some pretty bad stuff at the beginning of the game (Which I personally believe is something he picked up from his crappy dad while growing up) and then when he meets Chidori and learns about how she sees the world, he starts to mature and look at things differently. Not to mention, another pairing I really wish could have had a happy ending.

10 - Zen X Rei, I mean... I absolutely adore these two. They would be higher if they had more screen time but honestly they're just such a sweet pair. For one, just the lengths Zen went to make Rei happy (I don't wanna spoil for anyone who hasn't played because their story really isn't what you'd expect it to be) and the way their personalities play off of each other. Not to mention, they can be pretty funny at times. One scene that comes to mind is when Teddie remarks that Rei could be as much a disappointment as Yosuke and Zen just immediately pulls out his crossbow like "Say that again, you little shit, I dare you"

Ann/Shiho and Akeshu are a must. Unlike Tatsuya, I'm pretty flexible with who Akira is paired up with. I'm not including Sojiro/Wakaba since that's pretty much canon. The idea of Shiho/Ryuji and Makoto/Haru is also cute.

I know shit about Bayonetta, so I always thought of this theory as one of the crack ones.

FUCK oh my god I just got an amazing idea. Fucking Galaxy Brain. Another monster fic, but probably a lot simpler to write. Since it’d be following a lot of the game’s setup and plot, there’d b a lot less uh...... effort.

Honestly maybe it’d be good to do this one first? Fantasy au is my baby, even tho I haven’t written a single word of it yet lol, so I don’t intend to abandon it. But definitely a lot of why I haven’t done anything with it yet is Bc I’ve been thinking and thinking and thinking about setup and plot and characters and where everyone will be and what I want to accomplish and like So many things. It’s the game’s characters and general vibes set up in an entirely different place and time and story. Which is smth I wanna do, Bc I don’t want to just do the same story as everyone else, but a little bit to the left. I want something that’s MINE. Something that leaves an impression. Something relatively original.

But that originality takes a Lot of effort. So....... maybe I should dip my toes into this whole writing thing with something . Easier.

Bro, I love Akeshu, it's probably my favourite ship in P5 but goddamn people need to stop acting like the rest of the thieves are bad friends already. "oh they don't care about Joker cause they believed Maruki's reality!!!!!!" Bitch, Ryuji awoke to his persona because he wanted to save Ren, Ann asked for his help with Shiho visiting Shujin's roof because she knew what a kind hearted guy he was, do you want me to keep going because I have plenty more examples!

Long story short: Every thief, Akechi and Sumi included, is a great friend to Joker, they just show it in different ways.

THIS AND SO MUCH MORE!!!!!! Every time Ren explains his story to a new member of the thieves they’re so sympathetic and want to help him. I’m tired of shuake shippers making the rest of the thieves seem like assholes just to make Akechi seem better by comparison. He’s not a good person!! That’s what makes him so interesting!!

We just received a private message of someone asking us to tag our ship names. We thought about it, and it's a very legit idea! Honestly, I've never done it before simply because I didn't know the right ship names for every ship. I knew about Akeshu and AkiHamu, but whenever I wanted to look for something like Yukiko and Chie, I'd simply google their names. Also, not a fan of ship names like "person1Xperson2". But now, we decided to look for the popular ship names for most of our ships here. Considering we already posted 766 quotes, we won't look back and tag all that we've posted so far, but we'll start tagging it from now on! yes 100% and they are called akeshu and ryuann. obviously, please feel free to ship whatever you’d like, but for me, akeshu just does not work beyond mild friendship and complete understanding of one another. i think that’s what’s so ‘appealing’ about akeshu--it’s the sort of yin and yang, the enemies to lovers that people love. but it doesnt work for akeshu. i don’t even like to consider them as a brotp, since they wouldn’t be friends. they’re more like...a reflection of each other. a personification of what could’ve been if they lived different lives. if their cards were played differently. 

and for ryuann, they’re just pals. dumbass pals who love each other platonically. 

20. What is the purest ship in the fandom?

hmmm ‘pure’ is such a specific word, and for that reason i think i’m picking annshiho! to me, i think that is the most canon ship in the entire game. they’re just so perfect for each other, they love each other, they’re established, it’s perfect! shiho is what ann needed, and she literally awakened to avenge shiho (to the point where it’s comparable to akiryu!) 

23. Unpopular character you love?

look i cannot tell if i brainwashed myself or what, but sumire is a good character with a bad development team. she gets so much hate that she doesn’t deserve. Sumire doesn’t deserve hate; she deserves criticism. people either only want to nut to her or hate her profusely and that makes me sad. she needs tweaking (of course), but i honest to god love her so much. she’s a good character but atlus botched her before she even had the chance to prove herself

i hate hate hate how she’s forced to be the ‘canon’ girl for akira. but if you can look past that, she’s got a lot going on for herself. (that’s why ive been so obsessed with writing her lately lmfaooo if atlus cant then fuck it i’ll do it my damn self)

Also not sure what led you to see aroace Haru because as a Ryuharu shipper I always saw Yusuke as the aroace PT.

I definitely want to write more fics developing Shiho as her own character beyond just “Ann’s girlfriend”.

What are your thoughts on Makofumi? That’s one I really like.

That bit about Saetae… as someone ships that, I didn’t even consider that… damn…

Aroace Yusuke is fun I am definitely in the “Yusuke is gay” train. As for why I think Haru is aroace… do I need a reason? I just think it’s a nice headcanon that suits her. In the game she doesn’t talk about pursuing any romances after her marriage breaks off, content to just be alone and I think that’s neat.

Also I’ve never seen Makofumi but I am looking 👁👁 their event together in the book town was cute and I think their personalities would mesh well
