jinho is undeniably one of the best male kpop singers in his generation and I don’t think anybody that actually listens to him whether it’s a casual fan or a professional vocalist would disagree but when jinho first joined cube, kino told him that they were so mesmerized with how he sounded. they eavesdropped either during his audition process or just some moment in time where he sang and they waited outside the door listening and were peering in like curious children trying to get a view of him singing... they thought he was such a specimen. shinwon also couldn’t believe that he was THAT jino from sm the ballad and when he realized it he called up his friends and said “JINO FROM SM THE BALLAD IS IN MY COMPANY!!!!!!!” It’s very plausible that in some alternate timeline jinho decided on staying as a vocal teacher which would’ve meant he never met or debuted in pentagon. he honestly could have dedicated the rest of his life to music behind the scenes but he didn’t and society stays functional for that reason.
