New Splatoon dev interview came out!

Had a lot of Side Order lore, but I'd like to focus on the line that says Agent 4 is rumored to be "strongest." If this line was accurately translated, that would explain why they were the one Marina wanted as Head of Security rather than Agent 8, someone she both knew better and many fans had previously considered stronger than 4.

Also masked Parallel Canon is a copy of 4, and the helmet Parallel Canons are copies of the copy.

shrignold is a very possessive yandere,i feel like i already said this is another post but he wants you to himself and only him. being a cult leader has drilled some..bad things in his mind and now he thinks it's okay to have you by his side and manipulate you to stay with him even if it comes down to brainwashing you and making you a mindless zombie who only knows how to love HIM.

he’d never let you leave his sight even if it’s a ritual he has to perform you’re going to be there even if you get sick around blood he won’t care. you aren’t leaving his sight.

he’s sweet but in a sickening way. if you beg and plead to just leave one time his main solution? gaslighting and manipulation. no matter what you say he’s not going to give into your pretty face and tears.

even if he’s a sickening person he wouldn’t force you to hold his children and or adopt one. he doesn’t like children much himself so he’d stick with maybe a fur baby instead.

very rarely lets you see your friends or even family. you have to even lie and say shrig isn’t a bad guy he’s just busy and you can’t leave the house much. hes very happy you don’t yap on about the cult..maybe cause he’s almost made you so mindless and now has you in a stockholm syndrome state to where you love him no matter what. he’s made you his.

Theevan Review (Patreon Review for Emma Fici)

It's been a long year. While we're almost at the end and film has never been better, a combination of Disney being homophobic, warner bros burning the house down, and the worry the republicans would hyjack the goverment (they haven't.. for now).. it's been a LOT. I"m fairly exausted coming out of it and I STILL have a month to go. It has not been great. So naturally finding out what Emma intended for my patreon review, the Looney Tunes Special carnival of the animals, gave me almost nothing to work with wasn't great. Thankfully Emma, one of my patreons and closest friends, is a VERY understanding person, so she was fine with switching and since we were well past thanksgiving, that mean ti twas a free for all.. and that meant I got Theevan instead. And boy was this a nice early christmas present. Theevan... is what was as far as I can tell a student project done in blender by Indian Animated Danan Thiakanathan about ten years ago, that he turned from a student film into a full film in 1 and a half years. And that's part of the problem: that's a fairly short time for an indie animation, and it's clear Danan was so eager to get the film out. .he didn't really beta test it enough. As such it is one of the most memetically jank peices of animation out there: characters move their arms weird like their being posed, theevan's mom I guess meena has hair that looks like she hsaved all but a few strands off and never flows right, and theevan himself has expressions that look like an alien is going to burst from him and reveal it's true form any moment. It's not great and while I can't falt Danan's inexperince, I can fault him for getting a bit too eager. Trust me I know what it's like to want to get your project done now and some reviews i've regretted because I sent them out too soon or didn't have the time. It's why when you have al lthe time you need you should treasure it, use it well and use it wisely. That said even if Theevan was beauitfully animated... it's still a fairly simple story of a child who looks about 34 going on a quest to revive his mom after she leaves on "the ship" which I thought was you know going to be a metaphor for death or something but is an actual ship.. only for a dragon to kill it. Except the dragon might be her? Oh and he gets mugged by goblins because why not, meets a giant dragon being that looks like him, the dragon who may be his mom is killed, he get shis wish.. then falls off a cliff and falls into the water opening some kind of egg. My exact reaction

I didn't even mention the paper mache dragon he just flies around on. I get this was a university project.. but even for an experimental film it's pretty nonsensical. It's just kinda danan doing random shit. It's why THIS was hard to review too:

It was a fun bunch of stuff. I haven't gotten to bring it up a ton but I fucking love goblins so if you give me a bunch of goblins mugging a bald 12 year old whose clearly going through a big type situation for no reason, i'm going to love it. And honestly I can't mock the guys passion. I love animation, and love reviewing it and while critisims of "well then make your own thing then" don't hold weight with me, I can respect someone going out and doing it. Theevan may be weird, it may be majestic, but this man went out, made his vision, and put it out with no fear or shame. It's what makes the best so bad it's good stuff to me: when the creator isn't doing it to make it bad on purpose, or isn't a dick, but simply has genuine passion, heart and dedication. Theevan is a mess. I could barely make this much sense of it.. but it made me smile in a year where this medium's been in deep shit and my anxiety and workload has been getting to me. And that.. that's worth something.

A lot of Zizek's inability to properly tackle trans issues I suspect comes from his tendency to primarily view things from the lens of the psychoanalyst.

The psychoanalyst confronts an issue by asking "why is this person doing that" The Marxist approach on the other hand, is to first ask “what is this person doing”. Without first understanding how transsexuals actually function in society, one’s ability to interrogate psychology/motives ends up implicitly restricted to a reified framework.

This echoes a classic feminist critique of psychoanalysis, whereby the psychoanalysts of old tended to look at women’s behavior divorced from their social context, and came to the conclusion that women were innately this or that way, in turn, affirming the social order. Once one took into account the social role/function of women, psychoanalysis became a tool which could inform us not on the nature of women, but the nature of patriarchy. Alright so, lore dump time. With some friends help my lad Grimm, yes that's his name. Has been transported to Shadowrun, to Cyberpunk as best as we can so some of the tech he has dosnt have a full equivalent but we tried our best here.

Grimm, was born to a rich family who has strong ties with Militech and even runs a subsidiary of the Company called Saturn Technologies, focusing in experimental but beneficial implants. Grimm was mainly raised by his father eho had a strong since of genuine honesty and justice. His mother wasn't ever around

So long story short, Grimm fell head over heals with a strange girl and turns our, she was a Chromed put Cult leader who put what can only be described as a symbiote in him (it gives him super healing and reactions he just needs to eat more to feed it) and then when his Dad tried to save him, Grimms dad was killed and Grimm himself was mauled by a massive cyber dog. Losing his entire jaw, both arms, and a lot more. However he managed to kill the dog half the cult in the massive scuffle before he walked himself while bleeding to the hospital with those wounds and collapsed when he got there.

So, Cult Leader was with Mom the whole time, now that Cult, his mom and the Maelstrom own his father's company and him himself, having survived want it back and wnats to mc murder every Malestrom in Night City

this is important information bc back in 2013 when i was in the homestuck twitter fandom but hadnt read a single line of the comic yet, i knew all the characters by face and name, but i didnt know shit about them. all i knew was that kurloz and meulin used sign language, and for some bizarre reason i thought meulin just used it in solidarity to kurloz. BUT SHES DEAF. it all makes sense now, the yelling the signing the being besties with the mute clown. its so good.

It's fitting that God made the rainbow the sign of the Noahic covenant. The colors rainbow can only manifest in rain, just as deliverance can only make itself known in light of destruction.

Are you being sustained by God? One interesting fact about God is that sometimes before his promised abundance comes our way it is preceded by a period of sustenance. But not everyone knows this truth which makes some run outside the will of God in search of abundance elsewhere. Sustenance is a period when you have little for yourself. It is a period you have just enough for the present moment. During this period, you eat the same kind of meal all the time with nothing to spare. There is no room for luxury. From the Bible, there are men and women, families, and even nations, that God sustained, and he is still sustaining many today. Take, for instance, from the Bible, Elijah, the widow of Zarephath, her son, the children of Israel in the wilderness, Joseph, the Egyptians, and other countries. Elijah, during a period of famine was instructed by God to go to a desert place in the east of Jordan where he will send a raven to feed him at the brook Cherith. And just as God has said, he sent a raven to Elijah that brought him A piece of bread and flesh in the morning. And a piece of bread and flesh in the evening. When the raven stopped coming, God instructed Elijah to go to Zarephath where he commanded a widow to sustain him. As one source closes, God made provision for another source. (Ref. 1 Kings 17:1-6) At Zarephath, Elijah, the widow, and her son were sustained with A handful of meal and a little oil, continually every day. (1 Kings 17:7-16) Also, the children of Israel in the wilderness ate Manna which was rained down to them from heaven every day for 40 years (Ref. Exo. 16:35) Joseph in the land of Egypt sold corn to all Egyptians, families, and countries for 7 years. (Ref. Gen. 41:57) ........ Sustenance is not the same as poverty. Even though you eat little, and the same kind of meal, not a day passes without you eating. This is God sustaining you. When poverty is involved, some days, you will have no choice but to starve, and this one is not of God. Maybe you are in the desert phase of your life when all you have is not enough and you even need to be very calculated to not lose that little, here is a little encouragement for you to understand the actions of God, his unparalleled ability to sustain you in any way and by any means before he eventually grants you entrance into his abundance. In case you don't know this before know now that sometimes before God brings people into a place of abundance, he first heralds it with a period of sustenance. But here is the secret. Keep trusting him and Don't Reject Whatever He Is Using To Sustain You Presently. No matter your condition today, always know that God will sustain you. Read the full article
