- shoto can’t sleep without you, at all. you either have to be beside him, or on a FaceTime call with him so that he can rest properly. your light snoring is comforting to him and he likes staring at your face while you sleep. he studies all your features and traces them lightly with his thumb if he can. he holds you so gently that he’s afraid if he makes any sudden moves you might break you. the thought often scares him. he can’t lose you.

- shoto ties your laces for you. he hates when you do it for yourself, and when you do he just looks you dead in the eye and doesn’t look away. so you end up having to untie them and ask him to tie them for you himself. he smiles at your gesture and kisses your forehead before kneeling down to assist you.

- if you call him while you’re lying down on his bed and he’s at his desk doing homework, he will drop everything to come over to you. and if you usher him into your arms to cuddle, his face will light up and he’ll crawl over to you, curling up and resting his head on your lap. play with his hair and he’ll literally sound like he’s purring.

- whenever you’re sitting down and you want a hug, he will get down on his knees and hug your mid section instead of getting you to stand up. he then proceeds to look up at you with the prettiest eyes. if you ever compliment his eyes he’ll just pout at you and cover his face with the hem of his shirt so you can’t see his blush.

- shoto has really soft lips, so whenever he’s putting vaseline on himself he instinctively puts some on you too. gently using his thumb to rub the gel onto your bottom lip with care. then right after he gives your a kiss, his vaseline combining with yours. he always caresses your cheek with his knuckles afterwards.

Ideal Types: MHA

not quite what I usually do, but I had a headcanon and figured why not, I'm totally up for doing a part two if people are interested!

Bakugo, Izuku, Kirishima, Denki, Shoto

Notes: These are some headcanons that have come out recently, as I'm rewatching MHA with a friend

Fluff/HC/Drabble

Bakugo:

I honestly think despite the popular opinion, I honestly think he'd fall for someone who's more stoic. Someone who's firm in what they believe no matter what people say, and are not easily swayed in any direction. I personally see this as someone who doesn't come across as badass at first, but is unafraid to defend their beliefs or set boundaries. Bakugo might get frustrated, might think they're weak or a coward. I think deep down Bakugo needs that in his life. I think Bakugo would respect the heck out of them especially as a 2nd or 3rd year at UA, and they'd become an unstoppable power couple.

Izuku:

I sorta see Izuku with someone who's passionate, someone who always has something they're running towards, and dragging him out of his thoughts as they pull him along. He wants to be the number one hero to save people, and I believe he would really connect on a personal level with someone who's running towards their own dreams. I also believe that though Izuku loves the domestic life, he'd experience a much fuller greater life with a partner who's constantly working on improvement, and finding joy in the action. before his quirk, Izuku sought out action and took notes, so i believe someone who's always on the front lines would really help him grow. I believe that it might also compliment his personality if they were at a higher confidence, which would encourage him to strive for it as well!

Denki:

Despite his desire to be a ladies man, I honestly think Denki would fall for someone accidently. He constantly worried about coming across as the cool guy, and I think that love would strike the moment he least expected it and goofed up. I believe that Denki would fall for someone who's got a great deal of empathy and attention to detail. someone who would mock or shame him for his lack of academic intelligence, and in some twisted way, encourage him to improve himself in the process. 

Kirishima:

Now, It might be controversial, but I honestly think that Kirishima would fall for a close friend. Being as outgoing as he is, and with his past of depression, I think he would really be able to connect with someone who didn't have the best upbringing. I believe that he really needs to be told that he's strong enough for them, just as they need to be told they are deserving of love. Kirishima, especially as a 3rd year, would probably have learned a great deal from fatgum, and grown as a person with Tamaki. I think that both of you would push towards healing together and it would honestly be a really wholesome relationship.

Shoto:

I honestly headcanon that Todoroki would fall hard for someone assertive. though he really wouldn't notice at first, he would evaluate their plans as they presented them and admire the confidence that came with it. as he learned to better embrace his quirk and his past, I think he would need someone who could mentally pull him into the present. Someone who could be a comfort but would always have a theory on what to accomplish next, I think Todoroki would appreciate some direction, and words said in blunt honesty. As he got older, I think both of them would soften up a but, but while at UA, they would be a power couple.

Ns fw Shoto headcanons

I think he absolutely loves seeing your scratches on his back. He would feel pleased knowing you enjoyed yourself (and that he pleased you). I think he would be one of those guys who wouldn't expect to like pain during sex but it'll feel so deliciously good during that he wouldn't realize it until afterwards. He's used to pain and while it's never been pleasant/something he's number himself to, it'll be a pleasant surprise to find that there is pain he enjoys having.

It's also for your privacy too, I'm sure he would care more more that you wouldn't get pestered/embarrassed. I think he has this perception that girls are shy/particular about their image and he will not be the one to breach that. He's is a very kind, polite boy.

He wouldn't be initially into degradation but once, either you or he brings it up, he would be super into it. And he's really fucking good at it too. I think he likes teasing you about how much you love everything he's does to you - kind of like how he taunts izuku during the sports festival

"Are you really that beat up from defending against my attacks?"

"Are you really this pliable/soft/wet from just my touch/fingers/words?"

He loves hickeys but I don't think he would like it in obvious places. He might make an allowance for a small one peeking out of his collarbone (like barely showing) on occasion. If you guys are on vacation or somewhere where he doesn't know the people, he might allow one or more depending on how much you insist

> He truly he does love you and want to show it off but he's a very polite boy and is respectful of those around him (might be partly Japanese culture. I don't know if he would care if you were in America - aside from caring about how he represents his dad, culture, etc, bc I know the Japanese worry about that)

I think he's very sensitive.. he seems that way. I think he would be gentle but part of me also thinks he would be intense and focused in bed - depends on the mood I assume. Or some combination of both, fuck.

He would want to be in charge with how everything unfolds but will make sure that everything is to your satisfaction

He'll let you take the lead sometimes, esp when he gets more comfortable but he would still want to be in control

He would be methodical in how he figures out what you like. He isn't nervous but he is confident in his ability to figure things out on logistically. He'll be cautious and patient, listening to every hitch of your breath, feel every tremble, take in your eyebrows pulling up - be tuned in to your every reaction and he'll have a fairly good mental map of how to proceed. He's observant and learns quickly, ugh

TlDR: He's annoyingly good at everything he does and sex is no exception. It'll take practice but either through intuition, luck methodical exploration, or natural ability, he'll figure out your spots and rhythms with wicked accuracy

> other guys will fumble and be awkward, but with Shoto, it's just inevitable, focused, learning 🤷 I can see him figuring out a bra in a couple tries at most. Or he's probably clever and will ask you to take it off for him asdfghjkl

The build up and excitement leading up to it is pretty important, dinner, candles + privacy

Privacy means it'll be easier for him to mentally get a space where he feels comfortable and able to let go

He researches, he wouldn't come unprepared and he'll make sure you know his intentions beforehand

He needs, sort of like approval (for lack of a better word) to let go. And that comes from your reassurances And his personal conditions that need to be met first

Part One

Notes: looking back on it I actually really loved writing that post too so sure! I ran out of time so I couldn't do Shiggy's!

Shoto Todoroki

After the traumatic incidents of his childhood, Shoto had always sworn to never cry over someone else again, to never let anyone walk over him as his father did and make him such a mess.

Yet that day, as his blurred gaze shifted to the clock on his bedside table, he found himself crying for someone else.

He didn't know any better.

You knew that, and perhaps, that was why you were so used to treading on eggshells and forgiving him for his actions. You would set your boundaries and tell him not to do such a thing again, but at the end of the day, both of you knew you would always forgive him.

You never blamed Shoto for the impact his childhood had on his behaviour, and in a way, that was what made the matter so much worse.

It was what had him finally doing what he should have done the moment you left and racing out his bedroom to reach the dorm's rooftop.

You were watching the sunset.

The sight was almost ethereal, one that had him wishing he had bothered to get his phone with him so that Shoto could capture the rare moment of having two impossibly beautiful things beside each other.

However, it was the feeling of being able to hold you in his arms again that had Shoto letting out a soft sigh as he all but melted just by giving you a back hug.

"I'm sorry."

"I know."

He was quick to turn you around at the reply, with his hand almost automatically moving to cup your damp cheek.

Shoto might have sworn to never be weak enough to cry because of someone again, but it was the sight of you shedding tears because of something he said that had his heart breaking in regret.

"I swear I won't do anything like that again. I'm sorry."

You smiled at that, reaching forward to finally reciprocate his embrace as you muttered a small apology of your own for engaging in the fight.

However, even if things seemed fine to the outside eye, Shoto couldn't help but feel his hold on you tighten as he made a mental promise to never be the reason for your distress again.

Izuku Midoriya

Izuku couldn't help but watch in horror as he saw you walk towards the door.

Move.

His brain yelled the word at him even as his body seemed glued to the same spot almost as if he was scared to approach you and make matters worse.

Move!

And this time he did, with the sound of the door knob turning making him finally rush forward until his hand was resting on top of yours.

"I didn't mean it! I swear I didn't mean it and I'm so sorry-"

"Izuku."

He shook his head at the call of his name, with his grip on your hand tightening in an attempt to make you hear him out.

"-No! You need to understand that I didn't- I would never want to hurt you like that baby I don't what came over me and I'm so, so sorry I could never-"

This time you cut him off by turning back towards him and softly wrapping an arm around his waist, causing him to trail off and reciprocate the gesture.

"We're okay. I'm hurt, sure, but we're still okay."

A small sigh left his form as Izuku allowed himself to relax in your hold. Things weren't alright, in fact, the two of you were far from being fine, but to Izuku, the fact that you were willing to stay was enough.

Because no matter how long it would take for the two of you to get back to normal again, Izuku would always find solace in the fact that you were willing to be by his side even in a moment of pain.

here’s a thought, a mildly domestic shoto.

it had become a routine that shoto packs you a lunch before he leaves for work, which is hours before the light of day strikes and your workday even begins .

initially, it’s the leftovers from last nights dinner, being that he can’t afford to ruin your meal with his treacherous meal preparations. however, to you his cooking isn’t even all that bad as he believes.

he loves to leave little cute notes in your lunchbox, one day it could say “i love you, have a good day” and the next a corny quote he found on pinterest. he’ll cut up little fruits using those shape cutters, or carve little patterns in kiwis and strawberries.

the corners of shoto’s mouth pull into a tiny frown at the usage of his first name. no baby, no hun, not even sho. just shoto.

“did i do something to upset you ?” he asks carefully from his spot at the foot of your dorm bed he seems to be stuck at, he can’t bring himself to move until he knows if you’re actually mad at him, and he has an inkling you are.

you look up at him for no longer than a second then look back down at your phone screen “what makes you think that ?” you question back nonchalantly.

“you posted something on your tiktok account..” shoto doesn’t have a clue how to have this conversation with you and it makes him a little nervous, he regrets not going to izuku for advice after all.

“mhmmmm~” you hum, urging him to continue knowing damn well you know what he’s going to say. you wanted to hear him say it himself.

you know shoto’s had no previous relationships before you so these type of things probably don’t mean as much to him as they do to you, but doesn’t everyone want their boyfriends to ask them to be their valentine ? you sure do, and your boyfriend hadn’t asked you to be his yet, so as petty as you know you were being at the time you posted the tiktok he’s no doubt here for right now.

shoto feels like a criminal on trial desperately trying to plead his case with you being the judge. tentatively, he asks “ you said you were..putting me up for sale ?”

immediately it’s like a switch had been flipped. you place your phone down onto your bed next to you, shoto wishes he could take your phone’s place. you cross your leg over the other and bring your hands together like a super villain revealing their master plan “yes. yes i did.”

“oh.”

silence. nothing.

shoto tried—he’s trying. he’s trying so insanely hard to make sense of everything that is you but he simply can’t. he breaks eye contact to think of more to ask but his attention is quickly pulled back to you when he hears you whine.

“uuuuughhh shotoooo~” you moan, throwing your head back against the headboard. “you’re not supposed to say ‘oh’ !” you’re face changes from grumpy to deadpan as you lower your voice slightly to try and mimic him. on any other day this would’ve made him laugh but he’s beyond lost at this point. he clears his throat before speaking again.

“ i don’t know what i’m supposed to say—or what i did for you to want to sell me.” he thinks “and for 3 dollars at that.”

you let out a laugh when you process his words and shoto’s shoulders magically feel lighter at the sound. carefully, he slides a little closer to the side of your bed so he can stand at your bedside. little by little. you pretend you don't notice.

"it's what you deserve for not askin' me to be your valentine."

the secret’s finally out and you get to see how the cog wheels in his head are starting to turn in real time, it has you holding back a giggle when he looks up at you like a deer in headlights.

“is that..why you were mad ?” you nod, humming out a playful mhmm

“ya really hurt my feelings you know ? to think my own boyfriend wouldn’t ask me” you clench your fist over your heart and fake sob dramatically.

shoto huffs out a laugh, relieved to see you’re not actually mad, and goes to sit down on your bed. he tentatively reaches for your hand and squeezes it twice when you let him hold it. before bringing it up to his lips and placing a sweet little kiss to it. it feels as if pop rocks are going off inside of you.

he lifts his head up to look at you then, an eyebrow raised with an amused expression on his face “kinda sorry ?” he asks.

he chuckles to himself, then gets up so he can climb into bed next to you. when he’s positioned how he likes it, with his head in your lap while you comb through his hair with your fingers, he sighs peacefully “well, it wasn’t all bad. i’m glad you think i’m a good cook.”

“what about the crusty feet ?”

“i’m choosing to ignore that part.” shoto smirks lightly to himself when he hears you laugh at his joke, clearly proud of himself for it. “and i will buy you anything you want, to make it up to you.”

he blinks up at you, looks off the the side as if he’s deep in thought, and suddenly gets off your lap to sit right in front of you. you never think you’ll get over how pretty your boyfriend is and being reminded of it with how close he is to you makes you flustered. he leans in to kiss you passionately and you don’t know if it’s the love he pours into it or the lack of air that has you so dizzy, you don’t dwell on it.

when he pulls away he’s looking at you like you hung up the stars in the sky and he simply, almost shyly smiles at you and asks.

“ yer such a baby, y’know that ?” he mumbles, smirking against you neck. you huff but make no effort to shrug him off “ no i’m not, jerk. is it so wrong for me to want my boyfriend to ask me to be his valentine’s ?” you grumble, trying to ignore the feel of his warm lips against your skin, it’s not working so well for you.

“s’not what i’m sayin, sweets” he nips at your earlobe “‘m sayin’ ya coulda just told me ‘stead of bein’ a baby about it.” you can’t tell if this is his way of trying to apologize. either way, you don’t want to give in just yet.

❄️ He is unbelievably kind and gentle - he'll listen to everything they have to say and take any concerns they have, big or small, into consideration. He puts a lot of stock into their emotional well-being and will often ask you if the kids are happy and if he's doing enough

It's been that way since the first time he held them in the hospital.Shoto is endlessly responsible and mindful of every movement He makes sure to be precise and careful with anything, from bottle feeding to giving them shoulder rides. He isn't the type to toss the kids high in the air but he'll definitely make ice slides

😭 He tends to run his fingers lightly through their hair and is fond of forehead and temple kisses. He is always nuzzling them, inhaling their scent and will have the softest smile while doing so

❄️ Keeping the kids warm or cool enough is always his MO. Every ounce of control he has goes into warming them up after playing in the snow or cooling them down when they have a fever. if they take after him, he'll prioritize teaching them temperature control (every day, honestly. It's very important to him).

❄️ Oh boy, he actually frets over them when they're sick. While he hardly ever gets sick, their raspy, little coughs and abnormal temperature will cause him quite a bit of anxiety. And rationally he knows they'll be fine. He's well-trained and knowledgeable, but sometimes you just can rationalize feelings away.

> He'll be at a loss for what to do at first, but he'll watch you tend to them and learn. He'll take night shift for administering medicine (he's so precise with the dosage and timing - down to the second, I swear) and use his quirk to keep them comfortable.

❄️ He always insists on carrying them to bed when they fall asleep on the couch or in the car. He has a small smile when he does this and it melts your heart every time.

❄️ he would be supportive and encouraging in any and all interests/hobbies they have. he wants them to choose their own path in life and if they're dedicated to a sport or instrument, he will provide everything they need. He'll make an effort to attend any special events involving those things (recitals, matches, shows). If he can't make it, he'll explain to them and promise to make it up to them after + follows through.

❄️ He would try very hard not to shower the kids with material possessions but would often fail (especially around the holidays). Part of it has to do with how he doesn't have a strong conceptualization of the cost of things. But he also just wants to get whatever the kids ask for, the moment they ask for it. You often have to explain that it will spoil them. And he gets it, really he does - but when your little one looks up at him with the same eyes as yours and asks for something their heart desires, it's theirs. Shoto is weak for them, and while the kids try not to take advantage (they really are considerate), their wish really is his command

❄️ Speaking of material possessions, he has a habit of adorning his daughter and wife with jewelry. It's a habit he developed from dating you and it's the one habit he cannot break.

Maybe it has something to do with how elegant you look in them or how his little princess reacts when he presents them, but he can't help himself and at this point, he's stopped trying. Every time he travels, he always comes back with a bracelet or some other bauble. At any rate, he makes sure they're iced out 💎

❄️ Oh gosh, he would play with them for hours. He never got a chance to play as a kid and is endlessly fascinated with their toys. He'll spend hours building Legos, attending tea parties, and racing little remote cars. While the kids do try to control themselves when it comes to asking for things, it's actually Shoto who indulges them. It just makes sense, there's 7 sets in the collection therefore he has to get them all.

At least, that's what he learned from Midoriya and his meticulously curated All-Might collection

❄️ He forgets to not spoil them and you sort of try to remind him, but you don't really have the heart to curb him finally getting to experience the joys of childhood

❄️ And the kids do a wonderful job of teaching him. He genuinely enjoys playtime and learning hopscotch, ball games and jumprope for the first time. The kids might tease him a bit but he'll laugh (maybe even blush a little) + cite how thankful he is that they're so patient with their old man

And he looks so happy, it makes your heart 💓 every time

❄️ He was overwhelmed by amusement parks, zoos, movies, etc at first. He never got to enjoy places like that growing up and feels as though he is too old for them. But having kids, oh.... He finally allowed himself to truly experience them. It was almost miraculous to see how expressive he got. He loved seeing them go on the Merry-Go-Round and scooping them up to play arcade games. His smile when he would run with the kids with kites 🪁or bubble hoops 🫧 ... -sigh-

It's almost never a problem as he makes sure to complete his work to the point where they don't need him around those dates but on the off chance they he has to, he often makes up for it as soon as possible.

❄️ I truly think him healing his inner child will happen through experiencing fatherhood. He's going to feel at peace and settled, I just know it.

❄️ I am of the opinion that he might slip up and say some things that aren't exactly age appropriate to the kids. He explains things to them as though they are old enough to understand much to your horror at times. He'll follow your lead though. I think he'll pay close attention to how you speak to the children and model the same behavior. If he isn't sure about something, he'll consult you. You'll explain.

"Maybe we should wait to explain to the them the finer nuances of xyz 😅."

❄️ Listen, I don't think Shoto would understand why the kids would have to believe in things like Santa Claus or the Toot Fairy, but will go along with it if you insist. He isn't sure how normal households are run and will hesitantly accept it because wants them to have a normal childhood. But that doesn't stop him from worrying about 'lying to them' or 'shattering their illusions.' I'm sure you guys will come to something 🙂

An awkward silence filled the air as Monoma seemingly processed your rejection, yet somehow, as he cleared his throat and drew your gaze back to him, Monoma seemed completely fine with the fact that you had just rejected him because you liked someone else.

The smirk Monoma sent you made it clear that he had caught onto your not-so-subtle descriptions of Shoto, yet somehow, you weren't as embarrassed as you thought you would have been.

"Do you like him because he's like his father?"

Perhaps if his words didn't make you see red, you would have been able to conceal your emotions enough to look past the blond's shoulder and realize the entirety of your class had gathered to watch the two of you from the dorm windows.

But you didn't, instead, you found yourself feeling angrier as each second passed by due to the sheer audacity the boy in front of you held.

"He's kind and smart and nothing like his father. And you know what? Maybe if you weren't so hung up on trying to put everyone else down you would see that he does nothing but uplift and encourage all of us."

You hadn't even realised a stupid smile had crawled across your face as you spoke, however, it quickly vanished the second a familiar voice echoed from behind Monoma.

"Leave. Now."

Shoto had never been one to be deliberately rude. Sure, he could be standoffish, but never once had he come off as mean. At least, not until now.

Thankfully, Monoma seemed to take the hint and left without another word.

You didn't know what was worse, the annoying argument with Monoma or the awkward silence that followed once the two of you were left alone.

It was only when Shoto finally turned back to you that the tension in the air seemed to dissolve, instead being replaced with a peculiar yet comforting sense of excitement.

"You really meant that?"

It took you a moment to process his question, and then another to nod and let out a small confirmation.

"Yes."

"Well-"

The way his tongue darted out to wet his lips made it clear Shoto was internally a nervous wreck, yet he somehow found it in himself to continue even as red began to dust his cheeks.

"-I like you too. And if you allow it, I would like us to be a couple."

His awkward tone made it clear that Shoto didn't have enough knowledge about romance to know what he was doing, yet you found yourself smiling and reaching out to grasp one of his palms in yours, with the gesture only worsening his blush.

"I would like that very much."

The loud cheers that followed your words were enough to make you yelp and subconsciously jump closer to Shoto, an action that had him wrapping his arm around your shoulders, however, he would come to regret that later due to the uproar it created.

Mina and Denki didn't hesitate to race out of the dorms with their phones to snap a thousand pictures of the two of you, with the others following suit and letting out happy cheers and 'I knew it's.

Even Bakugo found it in himself to slump against the front door and let loose an almost-smile as he watched the scene unfold, even going as far as the snicker the second a familiar raven-haired hero made an appearance.

Aizawa certainly wasn't happy to hear the commotion from the dorms, especially after such a tiring day at school, yet as you felt the boy beside you squeeze your hand comfortingly, you found that you didn't quite care.

Perhaps Monoma asking you out was a good thing after all.
