CHAPTER RATING: Teen; FULL FICTION RATING: Explicit.  WARNINGS FOR ENTIRE WORK: violence, sex, language, references to prior domestic abuse, and rock n’ roll! CHAPTER WARNINGS: Mom Friend Minion is too damn loveable
Roxanne woke with her head pillowed on Megamind's shoulder. She blinked blearily in the bright sunlight filling the room, and stretched delightfully sore muscles. It had been too long since she'd last awoken with the afterglow of good, rough sex warming her body.
"Good morning, Beautiful," said a smooth, pleasant voice.
Roxanne smiled up into Megamind's handsome face. "Good morning," she sighed, sliding against him to kiss his mouth. She settled back beside him, nuzzling the side his neck and idly sliding one finger up and down his opposite ear. "Mmmmm, I should get up, but I'm much too comfortable."
"Then don't get up."
"But I really should."
"The Evil Overlord forbids it."
"You're not an Evil Overlord anymore."
"Well, then the Defender of Metrocity forbids it," he grinned down at her, turning to wrap both arms tightly around her. "Stay with me," he added seriously. "It's Saturday. As long as I'm not called to duty, there is no good reason why we can't spend the whole day here."
An electronic buzzing suddenly disturbed the quiet. It was quickly joined by a metallic rattling at the window. Roxanne bolted up in bed, giving a little yelp and pulling her coverlet over her chest as she realized six or seven brainbots were swarming outside the glass. Megamind's reaction was even more animated. He practically tumbled onto the floor, bringing the rumbled sheet with him and wrapping himself frantically in it. He stumbled to the window and, ignoring Roxanne's stuttering protests, threw it open to let the little flying robots in. They massed around him like worried children, bumping him with rounded glass domes and pawing him with long mechanical arms. Roxanne was sure that if they'd had tails, they would have been wagging.
Chuckling nervously, Megamind patted them. "Okay, okay, Daddy's alright. This is just Daddy's… ah… private time… So we really shouldn't be bothering Daddy. No we shouldn't." He shook a finger at them to emphasize his words, but that caused the sheet to slip a little, and he snatched it back up into place. "Look, Daddy's not leaving you behind. Daddy just needs to spend some alone time with Roxanne, okay? Daddy loves both you and Roxanne, but in very different ways…"
Roxanne nearly choked on her giggle. Of all the absurd things she had seen him do during her semi-professional Damsel-in-Distress career, none were quite as funny as Megamind giving the Daddy Has a Girlfriend speech to a hoard of cyborg drones. Her humor was stolen, however, when one of the brainbots left the happily swirling flock to hover in front of an empty section of wall. Moments later, the top minion— or rather Minion— appeared, his image projected by the brainbot's red camera eye. Roxanne blushed bright scarlet and tugged the blanket higher. She knew enough about Megamind's technological creations to realize that Minion could see them just as well as they could see him.
"Oh, sir! Thank goodness they found you! I've had the brainbots looking everywhere! Where have you been all night?!"
"Here."
"No phone call? No message? You just stay out to all hours—"
"Minion," Megamind interjected. "This really isn't the best—"
"Without a single thought of what you might be putting me through—"
"Minion—"
"...worried sick, and—"
"Minion!"
"WHAT? I mean…Ah... What, Sir?"
Megamind took a deep breath and began gathering scattered clothes from the floor with one hand, the other still clutching the sheet tight. "You're right. I should have called. I didn't think about it—"
"Didn't… didn't think about it?" Minion blustered, wide-eyed. "Sir! How could you? After all we've been through! You… You know that my sole purpose is to take care of you, and… and…"
"Oh, Minion! Stop being so dramatic! You know very well I didn't mean it that way!" Megamind threw up his free hand in exasperation, flinging his shirt above his head.
"How did you mean it, then?"
Another deep breath and Megamind collected himself. "I got a little caught up in the moment and… things…"
"Things? What things?! That's no excuse!"
"Things, Minion," Megamind said pointedly, motioning his head toward the bed. "And this seriously is not a good time."
Minion glanced where his master indicated. "Oh good morning, Miss... Ritchi..." his cordial voice grew faint as he finally took in the scene. Large aquatic eyes bulged, flitting between Roxanne and his master.
"Oh, Sir! You didn't!"
Megamind rolled his eyes and snatched one of his boots from the floor. "Yes, as a matter of fact, I did."
"Sir!"
"And I plan to do it again!"
"But Sir!"
"A lot!"
"SIR!"
"As often as possible!"
Minion mouthed wordlessly before shaking himself free of shock. "Well, I just hope you're being safe," he quipped in a tone that sounded entirely too matronly.
Oh, dear… thought Roxanne.
Megamind had paused instantly, mouth open to offer a retort that never came.
"Oh, sir," Minion repeated, groaning in despair. "You didn't…"
"I… didn't think… " He gathered himself visibly. "Look, Minion, it's doubtful our DNA is even similar enough to be compatible!"
"You can't know that without tests!" Minion objected, then asked hopefully: "have you run any tests?"
"It's on my to-do list!" Megamind announced defensively.
Minion clapped a mechanical hand to his fishbowl. "This is a disaster..."
At least here Roxanne could help. "It's okay, Megamind, Minion. I'm… Uh…" she shrugged, fighting the burning heat in her face. "On the pill."
The entire room seemed to sigh with relief.
"Well, thank goodness one of you has some sense!" said Minion pointedly. "Sir, I am very disappointed in you."
Megamind spoke through gritted teeth. "Could we discuss this later?"
"No, we can NOT discuss this later," Minion replied in his best parental tones. "Sir, you have a reputation to uphold now, and—What are you doing?"
Megamind had walked up behind the hovering brain bot, tucking the edges of the sheet tightly under one arm, and started fiddling with something on its back.
"I understand," he sounded bored. "Reputation. Yes."
Minion's eyes narrowed, his tone slow with barely restrained suspicion. "With all due respect, Sir, if you're doing what I think you're—"
"What was that Minion?" Megamind called loudly.
"Sir, leave that audio-visual receptor alone!"
"I can't hear you!"
"Stop that!"
"There seems to be a problem with the receptor!"
"Problem with—That's because you're messing with it!"
"Minion? Ollo? If you can hear me—"
"Of course I can hear you!"
"…I'll talk to you this afternoon when I get home!"
"Sir! Don't you dare turn off that—"
The image went blank.
Megamind heaved a great sigh and idly petted the brainbots. Then he walked to the far side of the room, where he had thrown his collection of clothing, and awkwardly held the sheet with one hand while fumbling with his leather pants. He extracted his wallet and turned back to the brainbots.
"Here," he said, holding out a twenty-dollar bill. "Daddy needs you to take this, go to the bait shop, and buy Uncle Minion something nice. Some juicy worms or maybe some minnows. No, no, no," he admonished as one of them snapped at the money. "Not for chewing. Daddy will bring you a new wrench to play with when he comes home. Now go get Uncle Minion a treat."
The little robots circled him once by way of a goodbye, the lead one obediently taking the money in a dangling claw, and flew out the window. The last one ran into the windowsill, and Megamind sighed, scooped it up, turned back on its electronic eye, and patted it. It sped out the window, chattering irately at its receding fellows. Roxanne could almost imagine a running child shouting for his friends to wait up.
"Well," Megamind said, slumping to the bed. "That certainly woke me up. Maybe it would be simpler if you stayed over at the Lair next time." He grinned suddenly, his lightning-quick thoughts leaping to a new subject. "I'm starving! Where's that lasag-na?"
"For breakfast?"
"It's nearly eleven! Besides, it's better than cereal and wine."
Roxanne laughed. "I guess I can't argue with that." She sighed and got up, pretending not to watch Megamind as he dropped the sheet and began pulling on his clothes.
Megamind, thoughtful as ever, had put the food into the refrigerator sometime during the night.  The salad Roxanne had made had wilted, but the lasagna was wonderful once reheated. Sitting on the small balcony outside the glass double doors, they enjoyed the pleasant, invigorating bite of the autumn air. Megamind ate voraciously, but then, Roxanne supposed, he had gotten quite a work out the night before.
That thought made her chuckle.
"And just what do you find so amusing, Miss Ritchi?" he teased in that heart-melting tenor of his.
She looked at him, adorably happy with his favorite food and his favorite girl. It took so little to please Megamind sometimes, and his exuberance, coupled with his persona as a dark superhero, seemed both oxymoronic and oddly fitting. It was… relaxing and somehow comforting to be around someone who was so content.
"Has anyone ever told you you're cute?" Roxanne asked, dishing out another serving of lasagna to him.
He grinned at her. "Yes, actually. An inmate in Metrocity Prison when I was a toddler. His name was Kip Kendall— or at least that's what people called him. I'm not sure if Kip was a nickname, honestly. He'd been convicted of murdering some thugs who got on his bad side, and he was very possibly the toughest, meanest brute on Cell Block A. But he was always nice to me when I was young. Around anyone else he was stern and dangerous… Around me, well, he was the closest thing to a father figure I had. He used to play pattie-cake with me, if you can believe that, and carry me around the Yard on his shoulders. No one dared to mock him for it either— not even the guards— and if anyone thought less of him for it, they were smart enough to keep it to themselves." His eyes grew distant as a sad memory ghosted behind them. "I'll never forget the day Uncle Marlow—one of the other two inmates who took the most interest in my upbringing—took me aside and explained that Uncle Kip had gone. Kip had been given consecutive life sentences by a jury too forward-thinking to give a clearly unbalanced man the death penalty, but Cancer had other ideas. I'd known he was sick— they'd had to take him to the infirmary, and the last time I visited him there he seemed so… so unlike himself— but when he went it still felt… wrong. Sudden. I remember thinking how unfair it was that he left without saying goodbye."
Roxanne reached across the table, laying her hand over his, willing him to open his soul and let the old pain dissipate like dark mist in the sunlight.
"I remember feeling that way when—" Roxanne's voice caught. She'd never actually told anyone else this before. Not even the expensive psychologist her grandparents had taken her to for years. With a deep breath, she continued. "I remember feeling that way when my mom died. I was fifteen, in my senior year of high school, and someone told me I had to go to the principal's office. I kept thinking and thinking, trying to figure out what I'd done wrong, and then I saw Principal Hartwell's face. The school counselor and my granddad were with him. And I knew. Somehow I just knew," she paused, wrapping her arms around herself and staring at the glass tabletop. "I started crying before they could even tell me, and I kept asking how. I remember someone saying something about icy roads, and dozing off at the wheel, and how it was no one's fault. I hated that person for saying that. I wanted it to be someone's fault, to be able to blame somebody. I wanted to blame the car company for not making her sedan stronger, or the hospital for making her work that stupid double shift, or my sperm donor for leaving us so that she had to work so many hours in the first place. But more than anything else," she dared to lift her eyes to his, "for a long time, I wanted to blame her for not saying goodbye."
Megamind stood up and moved beside her chair to wrap one arm around her shoulders. She leaned into his warmth, laying her hand on his.
"I'm sorry," he said. "I had already left Metrocity High School by then. If I had known... I would have been there."
Roxanne laughed a little through her sorrow. "Yeah, that would have gone well... The city's new supervillain showing up to offer a spikey shoulder to cry on." She sighed and squeezed his hand. "You know you couldn't have, no matter how much you might have wanted to."
"I would have. I loved you even then, and I would have done anything for you." He kissed the top of her head. "I'm so sorry you lost your mother that way."
"It's alright. I mean, it's not alright, not really, but… It was a long time ago. I still miss her, but I've kept going. I've built a life for myself, just like she would have wanted." Roxanne sighed, but the sound held more relief than sadness. "You know, it's kind of nice to finally talk about it."
Megamind bent to lay his cheek on top of her head. She could almost hear the gentle smile in his voice. "It's nice to finally have someone to talk about it with," he said.

Beast Morphers: Batteries Not Included
Disclaimer: the following a for ages 18 and up. Based on the characters from Power Rangers Beast Morphers. The Power Rangers Beast Morphers were meant to be Blaze, Roxy and Ravi but when the evil virus Evox invaded, Roxy and Blaze became evil avatars while their bodies were in comas. Blaze was blonde and attractive but cocky. He was the rival of Devon, who ultimately became the Red Ranger. The Beast Morpher team consisted of Ravi (blue), Zoey (yellow), Nathan (gold) and his cyborg brother Steel who basically only look liked a robot but had his DNA.
Tumblr media
One day, Blaze (who had his own evil ranger identity) was tricked by Evox’s servant Scrozzle. Scrozzle gave him a Robotron called Robotizer. Blaze went to get Morph-X with Robotizer to impress Evox. Morph-X is a substance Evox needs enough of in order to conquer our world. Morph-X is a clean energy source that comes from the Morphin Grid, which powers all the Power Rangers in the multiverse.
I digress. Anyway, Robotizer and Blaze arrive on our world and go after the Morph X. The alarm goes off in the Ranger base. The Rangers are quick to react and arrive where Blaze is. Devon says, “Blaze, you won’t get the Morph X.” “I’ve heard that before,” Blaze said. “Tronics!” The footsoldier Tronics appear. Devon says, “It's Morphin Time!” The others say along with him, “Activate Beast Power! Ha! Unleash The Beast!" Devon becomes the Red Ranger, Ravi the Blue Ranger, Zoey the yellow ranger, Nathan the gold ranger and Steel the silver ranger.
The rangers fight the Tronics and Devon fights Blaze. Robotizer fights Steel. Robotizer asked, “Why do you fights fellow robot?” Steel answers, “I’m no robot! I’m half robot! Why do people keep getting confused?” “Well now be all robot!” Robotizer zapped Steel and he glowed brightly. He stopped all movement. Nathan shouted, “Steel!” “I’m okay,” Steel said. All of the sudden, Steel changed. Nathan asked, “what just happened?”
Tumblr media
Suddenly Steel was human, a handsome blonde and blue eyed man. Zoey was stunned and said, “oh my god, he’s handsome.” Nathan asked, “Robotizer can turn people human?” “I am Steel,” the handsome man in a grey t-shirt and jeans and white sneakers said robotically. Everyone was perplexed. Nate asked, “Steel? Are you okay?” “Operating oppotinal,” Steel said. Zoey asked, “is he even human?” Mate put his ear next to Steel’s chest and there was no heartbeat but robotic sounds. “He’s full robot now, he looks human but he’s a robot,” Robotizer said. “Great job,” Blaze said with a cocky smile.
“Let’s get back to the lab,” Devon said. The rangers nodded and ran back. Blaze was alone with Robotizer. “Let’s get more Morph-X,” Blaze said. When Blaze turned around, Tobotizer blasted him. Blaze glowed. “What?! Why did you do this?” “Scrozzle ordered it,” Robotizer. “I am not surprised,” Blaze said. Suddenly Blaze de-morphed and was in his black and dark red outfit.
Tumblr media
Blaze looked the same but was still. He was staring into no where. “Waiting instructions,” Blaze said. “Perfect,” Scrozzle said as he teleported in. “I did as you asked,” Robotizer said. Scrozzle said, “good job. Now he will serve me. Blaze, I am your master.” “You are my master,” the hunk said robotically.
Back at the base, Nate finished his check on Steel. Steel just sat on a lab bed quietly and still in his new hunky bod. “It turns out he is a full robot but just looks human and all his personality is gone,” Nathan said. Ravi asked, “he’s not Steel anymore?” Zoey asked, “is there a way to bring him back?” “I don’t know but I hope so. He’s my brother, my only brother,” Nate said.
“But for now let’s keep him here, he’s in no state to be a Ranger,” Devon said. Nate nodded. They saw Robotizer was attacking and the four Rangers morphed and left the handsome Steel alone. Meanwhile, Suddenly Blaze teleported in and grabbed the handsome Steel and teleported away.
Tumblr media
Back at Scrozzle’s secret lab, Blaze and Steel teleported in where Scrozzle was. “Good, you got Steel. Blaze, run program ASFR.” “Running program ASFR,” Blaze said robotically. Scrozzle teleported away. Blaze took off Steel’s clothes. Steel had bulging biceps and tight abs. Blaze took off his jacket, he was leaner but still had a nice bod with abs. Blaze kisses Steel tenderly on the lips. He ran his hands on his big pecs. He circled his hands around his nipples. Blaze then place his mouth on Steel’s left nipple. He sucked his nipple.
[edited for tumblr]
He was now malfunctioning. Sparks flew. Blaze’s head moved back and forth. Scrozzle came in. Blaze said, “maintance needed.” Scrozzle stood Blaze up and opened up a hatch on his back. Blaze booted down and closed his eyes. Blaze is no longer an avatar but a robot cyborg. He fixed his wires and he booted up again. “Blaze unit full operational,” he said. “That’s fine,” Scrozzle said.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile back with Robotizer, he was fighting Indian-American Ravi. Ravi asked, “what did you do to Steel?!” “This!” Robotizer zapped Ravi. Devon shouted, “Ravi!” Blaze teleported in and grabbed Ravi and teleported away. “Wait! Blaze just took Ravi,” Zoey said. Devon said, “Bring Ravi back!” Robotizer asked, “Want to join him?” “What do you mean?” Nate said, “Devon, get away from him!” Devon listened and did his beast Power of the cheetah and ran rapidly away.
Tumblr media
Meanwhile back with Ravi and Blaze, Blaze spoke to Ravi. “What is your name?” Ravi said in a robotic voice, “this unit name is Ravi.” “Affirmative,” Blaze said. Scrozzle came in and said, “Perfect, soon I will have all the Rangers under my control!” Then Roxy came in, she wa the evil avatar of Ravi’s old girlfriend. “Scrozzle, you have Ravi! And what did you do to Blaze and that hunk?” Scrozzle explained to her and Roxy loved it. “Perfect! Can I have some fun with Blaze and Ravi?” “Sure,” Scrozzle said leaving the room.
[edited for tumblr]
He did not react. All that was human was gone. Ravi’s thoughts, feelings and needs were saved in his CPU. His body was now a handsome shell. She liked the idea she could do whatever she wanted to him without him protesting. He was powerless. Blaze just stood there staring. Roxy went up to him and pushed him. He didn’t budge or react. “Don’t fight back huh? I like you like this more, a puppet.”
At the base, Nate, Zoey and Devon were the only Rangers left and were trying to figure out how to get their friends back. Devon asked, “well?” “Don’t hurry me. I don’t know what to do. I never thought this would happen,” Nate said. “But we have been through worse. Remember when—“ “no zoey. It’s not a holiday, let’s not reminisce,” devon said. The alarm went off again. Nate exclaimed, “not now!” “Don’t worry, Nate. You stay here and figure out a way to turn our friends back and me and Zoey will stop Robotizer.” Nate nodded and the other two morphed.
Tumblr media
They fought Robotizer again and Robotizer zapped Devon and he became a robot. Zoey freaked out and ran away. Robotizer teleported away with Devon. Zoey returned to Nate’s base. “Not again,” Nate said. “Now what do we do?” “I have no idea,” Nate said. “I have an idea but we have to use you as bait.” Nate asked, “what?”
{edited for tumblr}
Robotizer came in with the newly Robotizer Devon who mindlessly walked in on Blaze and Ravi. “Devon unit ready,” Devon said robotically. “Understood,” Blaze said nodding. Robotizer said, “one more to go!” He teleported Away.
{edited for tumblr}
Robotizer arrived in the City and was amazed to find Nate and Zoey morphed and ready to battle. “What?” “Didn’t expect us sid you?” Zoey asked. “Easy targets,” Robotizer said and blasted at Nate. “Hey wait—“ Nate was blasted and stood still. “Oh no, Nate,” Zoey said. Nate glowed and then the glow bounces off him and hit Robotizer. “What?!” Robotizer then became numb and stood limp. Zoey went over to him and poked him. “It worked,” Zoey said.
Nate came out of the bushes. “My robot decoy worked too,” he said. “Now we can find the antidote to fix the others.” The Grid Battleforce team came and hauled Robotizer and the Gold Ranger decoy away. When Nate was about to go, he was hit by a ray. “Argh!”
Tumblr media
Zoey shouted, “Nate!” It was too late, Nate was frozen solid and emotionless. “Nate unit initiated.” “Nate, speak to me! We need you to make the antidote!” Zoey shouted shaking him. “Processing. Sorry, I can not help with that right now,” Nate said robotically. Zoey sighed. She looked around for who blasted him. It was Roxy.
Roxy said, “surprised?” “I should’ve known,” Zoey said. Roxy morphed. Zoey morphed again. Both fought. When Zoey wasn’t looking, Blaze teleported in and took the newly Robotized Nate with him. Zoey continued fighting Roxy.
Blaze brought in Nate and Scrozzle said, “Now I have the whole collection of male Rangers. They will be my skates. Rangers, initiate ASFR-3.” The five robots said in unison, “initaiating ASFR-3.” Their eyes glowed. Scrozzle left. Nate and Blaze started making out. Devon and Ravi made out and then Devon and Ravi serviced Steel.
Later Scrozzle walked in and pressed pause on his remote and they all stopped all movement. They were all stuck in the last position they were in. He had full control.

Body and Soul: The Endgame Fix
"Part 9: Rise and Fall"
Here's the HULK action you didn't get in the films. This is the second chapter from Hulk's point of view, which covers what should have been the three-film Banner and Hulk story arc we didn’t get. ~o~ It took six more months by his reckoning, but Hulk was ready to take on the Grandmaster’s Champion. He’d worked his way through beasts, monsters, warriors, cyborgs, robots, and something like a fungus, which had been one of the more difficult ones. The Grandmaster himself announced the match as a huge hologram and introduced him as “The! Incredible! HUULLKK!!!” and Hulk leapt into the center of the arena. The Sakaarans screamed and chanted his name as he brandished his great ax and broadsword above his head, flexing and showing off his poses for the crowd. Everyone was standing and stomping. He loved it! This made him happy! Then, it was time to face the current Champion. Hulk knew the routine and stood on the Challenger’s side of the arena floor, grimacing fiercely and posturing for his fans. “Wow, the Green Goliath is a crowd pleaser here at the Contest of Champions! He’s certainly one of my personal favorites. Now, let’s show some enthusiasm for his competition. My fellow Sakaarans, I present to you your current Champion, rider of winds, the myth, the legend . . . KAMAITAKI!!!” The doors opened and a dust devil swept through and grew into a huge column of wind and flying debris. Hulk pulled the visor down on his new helmet and stood impassively waiting as the edge of the dust cloud swept past him. He’d seen the creature fight several times before, so he was prepared with new armor and tactics. Contestants weren’t supposed to use outright magic, but some fighters had innate abilities that definitely pushed that rule. Kamaitaki was one of them. As the wind and dust settled down, a creature resembling a seven-meter long brown ferret on steroids stood growling and baring its sharp, foot-long teeth at Hulk. Not only did the beast have poisonous fangs, its four sets of claws were like curved sword blades. It’s reflexes and attacks were lightning fast, but it often relied on cunning. Fighting it straight up would have been a challenge, but its mastery of creating and utilizing cyclonic bursts of wind made it difficult to defend against or hit with a weapon or a fist. Hulk had seen it wear down opponents and play with them before it darted in to take a venomous nosh and let the fighter slowly collapse before delivering its coup de grâce with its claws. It could be cruel and calculating with its tactics, but Hulk had talked to his friend, the old barber, who seldom missed a match, and come up with several ideas. They often strategized when Hulk needed a shave or trim, and even Angry Girl had to admit the old man knew his stuff. Hulk was well known for charging straight ahead and hitting his opponent like a ton of angry, green bricks. He cultivated that simple, unschooled image, but Angry Girl had him practicing and working with a variety of weapons and strategies. She realized he would never have a great deal of finesse, but Hulk usually made up for it with strength and durability. He was also enthusiastic and pretty damn stubborn, so as long as he had a clear goal to work toward, like becoming the Champion, he would do what she told him (and not complain) to get the job done. Their plan was to give the crowd a good show of what they’d come to expect: lots of raging and offensive power moves. If any connected, great, but what they were waiting for was the bite. Hulk had been on Sakaar for about a year then, so he’d regained almost all of his physical abilities and strength, including his nearly impenetrable skin and his quick healing. Their strategy depended on his skin and his healing factor shrugging off or stymieing Kamaitaki’s bite and its poison. From there, it might play out several ways, but Hulk felt ready to meet every possibility they’d thought up. Hulk had also chosen lighter armor that gave him greater mobility with versatility in mind. During training, Angry Girl had even insisted on finally getting him drunk, so he could have a feel for the “disembodiment of the experience,” which supposedly resembled being poisoned by Kamaitaki’s bite. Hulk was pretty certain she had ulterior motives. It had taken a lot of alcohol for him to feel “buzzed,” but he hadn’t puked or passed out. Afterward, the seductive pleasantness of being numb, even for just a few minutes, scared him. He thought her drinking herself into a stupor was an odd way for her to handle her pain if that was why she was always doing it. Still, the idea of him imitating his father was enough for him to stay clear of it. Troubles were generally better faced head on in his opinion. Fight them or get the hell away. Hulk brought his attention back in focus as the Grandmaster shouted: “Let the Contest of Champions BEGIN!!!” The crowd roared and so did Hulk as he charged forward only to meet the full force of Kamaitaki’s column of air. Having planned for this, Hulk stabbed his broadsword into the ground for a stable point to brace against and then sheathed his ax between his shoulder blades to free up his hands. Next, Hulk brought his palms together in a thunderous clap that collapsed the column of air, revealing a very surprised Kamaitaki overhead, scrambling to stay aloft. Hey, I just wanted to say thank you for your words, and your stories. I totally undersand if you don’t want to write or can’t write, and I relate to your anger and frustration and exhaustion as a fellow aro a lot. I didn’t even realize I could be aro, I thought to be asexual I had to fall in love romantically and try to force something that isn’t there. Your stories have helped me realize that I can have a future, and helped me feel a little less bad about my identity, so thank you sm for that.
(Same anon as before) Seriously, thank you. Thank you. Seeing aromantic content that isn’t made by alloromantic people or feels like it’s catered to alloros is such a gift, and it honestly feels like I’m shouting into the void whenever I talk about being aro, (I don’t have any aro friends that I know of lol rip) and talking to alloromantic people about being aro is exhausting. It feels like I’d be worth more to my alloro friends if I was gay (romantic sense), and that really really hurts.
(Same anon, sorry again) Reading the words of someone who gets it and understands in a way alloro people never could is just. It fills a void I didn’t even know I had and it hurts but it’s healing at the same time? (Idk if I said this before but) You’ve helped me see that my stories and my voice matter and that I have a life worth reading about and that my stories can be as shouty and rage-filled and aromantic as I want them to be. I don’t have to be alloromantic to be the hero. 😊 💚🖤💚
(Same anon) And as an aromantic who’s always wanted to fly, thank you especially for The Flight of Icarus. It made my day and I resonated with it deeply *aro solidarity fistbump* *Plastic by Moses Sumney plays in the background* (now whenever I check the captcha on these asks I think of the robot short story you made with the replacing limbs, which also made me cry, thank you thank you thank you)
(Same anon again) And especially as a teenaged aro? These stories mean extra because so much of teen lit is centered around romance/has romantic subplots and is so overwhelmingly alloromantic. I love diverse books but i’ve had to come to terms with the fact that I’m probably never going to see myself in a YA novel. Maybe nonbinary but only alloro (maybe alloro ace) nonbinary, i doubt I’ll ever even get cis aro rep. Nonbinary aro*rep? I’d have to write it. Maybe I will. *I’m also ace but aro more
Wow, anon. This means a lot.
Not having any aro friends that I know of offline and only being out to a few people (all currently miles away), I often find that my aromanticism is clawing at my skin, demanding to be seen and to be heard. Writing often provides that kind of catharsis, both as a means of compartmentalizing my feelings and connecting with my community.
I thought no one would ever read my blog beyond a couple friends and a handful of other aros. I had no idea how this project would evolve and become part of something bigger than I could dream of being on my own. I’m not good at responding to compliments, but messages like these remind me that my stories reach other people with even greater impact than they do for me. Thank you for this, anon.
(And I’m so glad you pointed out those stories in particular--”The Flight of Icarus” and “Cyborg’s Manifesto” (the robot one) are two of my favorites as well.)

Finally finished this piece. It is also a test run of how Quiver to Arrows will be done. The story will be written and each chapter will receive an image showing a scene from said chapter. (Like my old Halo Clairvoyance story I did in 2009) 1750 hours, August 10th, 2545(Military Calendar) \ 037 Sionann System, Underneath Ceideht City, Planet Orin. ---------------------------------------------------------------
“Move! Move! Disperse!” a voice rang out down the tunnel behind them accompanied by a growing bright light. Heavy thuds of footsteps quaking the metal beneath them.
Sibil was in no shape to do what the voice wanted, her legs felt shattered into hundreds of pieces after the ceiling collapsed on them. It felt as though the cold had been feasting on her legs for some time to. Eryn the stubborn boy, chose to stay with her. He was like his father in so many ways and he was only 3 years old.
The light had gotten so close now she wasn’t sure if she was seeing “The Light” that everyone mentions when experiencing death.
“We’ve got a non-combatant!” the man said kneeling down to her and Eryn. Her eyes adjusted to the soldier’s helmet light. She didn’t recognize his attire at first. Until she realized that he must be one of the Spartans that was being whispered about when everyone was together at Igo station.
His armor smelled of welded metal and something she didn’t recognize but it was foul to her senses. The Spartan turned his gaze to Eryn, who was still tightly cradling her shoulder.
“Hey pal you okay?” The Spartan asked pointing to Eryn, who nodded his head, mouth agape in awe.
“What's wrong with your mom?” He asked scooting himself closer to the 2 of them. It was then that the ungodly smell Sibil couldn’t put her finger on earlier came to her. It was biofoam resting on scorched flesh. The Spartan was wounded, bits of dried biofoam soaked in blood were chipping off the sealed wound as he neared them.
Eryn lifted himself up off the ground and pointed to her legs shivering from the cold and probably anxiety that was welling up inside him.
“Gotcha.” The Spartan said giving Eryn an “OK” sign with his fingers.
“Ma’am I’m going to pick you up.” He stated as he threw off the chunks of ceiling from her with ease. Eryn began to gasp in awe of the Spartan’s strength. The Spartan was colossal for a man. Perhaps the rumors of them being giant robots or cyborgs were partially true.
“This isn’t good…” He remarked hovering his hand over her snapped legs and shook his head. He turned his attention back to behind him. She could hear him talk but he had switched off his helmet’s speakers so they couldn’t hear him.
“I don’t know how right you are ma’am.” He paused. “So I won’t risk further hurting you for now.” He said pointing at her.
“I..It’s just mm..my legs and p..pp.possibly my l..lleft hipbone.” Sibil coughed.
“Are you sure? If one of your vertebrae is broken I would risk permanently paralyzing you if I lift you off the floor.” He asked with a terseness to his voice.
“If t..that’s the case sssir…” She said pausing to cough.
“Then I’d ra..rather live paralyzed then d..die in this dark tunnel to murderous aliens.” She said frowning at him.
“Good point.” He said holding back his amusement. He proceeded to lift her off the ground, she did her best to bite away the screams she wanted to release, the pain in her legs vibrating up her entire spine as they slid across the floor. She and Eryn were soon in his left arm as he used his large gun as balance.
“My name is Grant by the way, Petty Officer Grant.” He said looking at them. The only face she could find in his visor was the reflection of her’s and Eryn’s.
“Eryn.” Eryn answered with a faint smile.
“My n..name is S.Si..Sibil.” She followed the cold stunting her speech.
“Pleasure to meet you love.” He nodded. Just as he turned around his fellow Spartans were approaching them.
“Tall, where are they?” One Spartan asked with 2 others behind him.
“Right here sir.” Grant answered lifting his arm with the both of them as a shrug.
“Can she walk?” the one in front asked. His voice was that of a very young man. Almost identical to her brother Ben’s.
“Nup, Spear.” Grant replied. “Explosions on the surface must’ve brought the ceiling down on her lower half. Both legs are broken, possibly her left hip is gone to.” He finished shaking his head again. Spear approached them turning his helmet torch off.
“We can’t carry you forever miss, we have thousands of Covenant following us, tearing through all of our blockades.” Spear said pointing back with his thumb.
“You are leaving me one man short, and I need him.” He hissed with frustration.
“Le..Leave me then! But take my son PLEASE!” She shouted losing her breath. She could tell that Spear was looking at her with perplexment. He turned to see what the others thought and they didn’t seem to object to the idea. The Spartan sighed.
“I appreciate and admire that ma’am.” Spear turned to his Spartans and continued.
“But I can’t in good conscience do that, Wasp! Go makeshift some splints for her.” Spear ordered.
“Yes sir!” Wasp answered. The Spartan leapt down onto the rails of the light rail system. Then proceeded to rip a section of the rail off its bolts then breaking it in 2. Sibil shivered from realizing how much strength that Spartan would need in order to do that.
The Spartan got back up onto the platform and pushed Spear out of the way.
“Tall, put her down.” Wasp said with a hint of kindness.
“Aye” Grant nodded kneeling once more and slowly moving Sibil out of his arms onto the ground while keeping Eryn in his possession.
“We don’t have any medical supplies with us and I hope the rest of our forces are kilometers away from here by now.” Wasp said grabbing Sibil’s pants, a tinge of pain sprouting out from the Spartan’s touch.
“So these splints will have to do.” She said ripping her pants up to her knees.
“I’m sorry but I’m going to have to right your legs, This will be extremely painful.” She said. “Again I’m sorry. Tall please don’t let the child see.” Wasp asked looking back up at him.
“Right.” Grant said turning himself around and holding Eryn’s head so that the boy’s curiosity didn’t misguide him into seeing his mother in such horrifying anguish.
“Okay, on the count of 3 I’ll set them.” Wasp said. She counted down nodding her head each second until she wrenched both Sibil’s shins so hard the pain made her lose her hearing to a strange ringing. Sibil felt as though she was screaming but couldn’t hear herself yowl. Her teeth clenching so hard they nearly crumbled in her mouth from the pressure of her jaws grinding together.
She nearly passed out but she had experience with broken bones and pain before and so she got herself into a breathing exercise. By the time she consciously came to, the splints had been placed, her torn pants now being used as rope to tie the rail splints tight to her legs.
“Great job ma’am.” Wasp said patting her on her shoulder.
“They’re ready Spear, but I have to say if we don’t get her out of here, she will lose her legs to gangrene from the frostbite.” Wasp told Spear standing back up.
“Understood Wasp, and here miss.” Spear stepped in front of her now and handed her a long section of rebar with some flag like cloth wrapped around the top for her to hold.
“Ple..ase.. don’ttt  call me mm..a’am or miss.” Sibil stated. “Just call me Ss.sibil.”
“Alright Sibil.” Spear nodded. “Think you can walk?” He asked cocking his head to the side. She motioned that she could and tried out the Spartans’ attempt at helping her move. Luckily the rail splints were sturdy enough to hold the weight from her. They did nothing for her hip though which still stabbed relentlessly.
“Good.” Spear said looking back at the tunnel taking a moment for himself to think.
“Do as we have been doing Quiver, keep her in front with you Tall while Ghost, Wasp and I will keep the Covenant busy down here okay?” Spear ordered pointing at him and Eryn.
“Don’t worry Gary, she’ll be right.” Grant stated turning to Sibil. “Come on Sibil let's leg it.” Sibil didn’t hesitate and pushed herself to walk at pace with Grant towards the supposed evac station. ---------------------------------------------------------------

WHAT IF READER WAS A FRIENDLY RIVAL SUPERHERO TO SUPERGIRL AND THEY TEASE EACH OTHER DURING FIGHTS AND THEY KEEP SCORE OF WHO HAS THE SICKEST ONE LINER
Tumblr media
Y/S/N : Your Superhero Name
You didn’t specify the reader’s powers, so I basically made her into a female Deadpool, with regenerative powers.
ALSO THIS WAS SO FUN TO WRITE I LOVE THE IDEA OF SUPERGIRL HAVING A FRIENDLY RIVAL SUPERHERO ITS SO CUTE
You slam your knee into the drug lord’s ribs and punch him when he doubles over in pain. The satisfying sound of your fist connecting with his face gives you the motivation to continue on, fighting off the rest of his goons.
“As fun as this is,” you say between punches. “Game of Thrones is on tonight, and if you make me miss it, Ned Stark won’t be the only one without a head.”
The criminals don’t seem to get the reference, or maybe they just don’t care.
You calmly pick up one of them and throw them across the room, knocking down a couple of other men in the process, like a game of human bowling.
“Hole in one!” You exclaim. “Or is that golf?” You shrug, making a mental note to brush up on your sports terminology.
You realize you’re talking to yourself and there’s two neat piles of unconscious men at your feet. You silently congratulate yourself for being an amazing, competent and kickass superhero.
You smile smugly when the cops arrive to arrest the drug lord and his henchman. You spot Maggie and give her a thumbs up. She gives you a dimpled smile, returning the gesture.
“You can tell Supergirl I beat her to this one.” You say, saluting your favorite cop with two fingers before running off into the night.
-
“Y/S/N says hi.” Maggie grins at Kara as she wraps her arm around her girlfriend.
“Didn’t she stop the infamous drug lord Mr.X last night?” Alex says.
Maggie nods. “She wants Supergirl to know she beat her to it.”
Kara laughs, then smirks as she says: “Oh, it’s on.”
Alex sighs. “You’re way too competitive. Aren’t you both on the same side?”
Kara shrugs. “Nothing wrong with a little friendly superhero competition.”
-
When Kara gets the call that a pro-alien rally is being attacked by CADMUS, she heads straight over.
Cyborg Superman is on site, inflicting terror on anyone within his reach.
“How can you support those freaks?” He shouts, blasting a laser beam through a parked car, damaging whatever stands in his way. “They should go back where they came from. Or better yet, we should just exterminate them.”
“I don’t think so, pal.” Supergirl swoops down with ease, slamming her fist into the pavement as she lands in front of Cyborg Superman. Spider-like cracks form around her, and she slowly rises, glaring at the CADMUS created creature in front of her.
“Stop this, right now.” She demands, her voice dropping an octave lower like it always does when she speaks as Supergirl.
“You shouldn’t have come.” He spits, his voice dripping with disdain. “Stupid girl.”
“Actually, its Supergirl, not Stupidgirl. But whatever, I mix them up too sometimes. Easy mistake.” You appear by Kara’s side, grinning like a toddler who just saw a chocolate fountain.
You pat your fellow superhero on the back.  "My girl here can knock you across the galaxy. So as menacing as your second grade vocabulary is, I’d shut my rusty, poor excuse for a robot mouth if I were you"
This only seems to anger Cyborg Superman, and he launches himself at you, grabbing your neck with his CADMUS enhanced arm, his gripping tightening on you has he backs you up into the nearest wall.
“Can’t make any wise remarks if I crush your vocal cords, now can you?”
You try to reply with something very intelligent and witty like: Fuck you, you robotic lab rat or Eat my amazingly round and extremely breathtaking ass but you seem to be at a loss for words. As in, you were being chocked to death.
You reach for the handgun in your belt, trying not to focus on the amount of air you were losing. Your grip tightens on your weapon as you yank it out of your holster and aim it at Cyborg Superman’s face. You pull the trigger and laugh as his neck snaps back and he stumbles off you.
“Jokes on you, asshole. My vocal cords would’ve grown back. Probably.”
As much as you want your expertly taken shot to his face to end him, it doesn’t do much damage. Cyborg Superman is back on you in seconds, but this time, you’re ready. You pull out your two swords and charge.
The clang of metal against metal rings in the street, your swords slamming continuously against his arm at a steady pace.
You leave little marks here and there, slashing and jabbing at his stomach and legs. But there’s only so much you can do before you slip up.
You lift your sword up for a final blow, but Cyborg Superman anticipates your move and knocks your sword out of your hand, quickly moving to grab your second one. He flips it around and brings it down onto your wrist, slicing your hand off.
The sword clatters to the ground, your hand falling down with it.
“Holy shit, that hurt like a bitch! Fucking hell.” You slowly lift your arm up, staring the spot where your hand used to be. “Shit. That’s going to take some time to grow back.”
Cyborg Superman was making his way toward you again when Supergirl appears, grabbing him from behind and throwing him into the nearest building.
“It’s about time. Where the hell where you?” You pick up your swords, one at a time, and return them to there place, crossed in an x form across your back.
“Saving civilians. CADMUS unleashed some sort of toxic gas on the city, but I got them out of there in time and the DEO arrived to contain the gas.”
You nod.
“Well you saved all those civilians, which is good and all, but do you have any sick ass one liners? Ha, didn’t think so.” You wiggle your detached hand in her face.
Supergirl laughs at the sight of you, her friendly rival superhero, fully decked out in your red spandex suit and black weapon’s belt, holding one of your own cut off hands, nonchalantly waving it in the air like it wasn’t one of your limbs.
“You’re gross.” Supergirl smirks at you. “And I totally have sick one liners.”
You raise your eyebrows. “Oh really?” You taunt.
“Yes, really.”
You’re about to tell the Kryptonian that there’s no way she has better one liners than you when Cyborg Superman is suddenly at Supergirl’s side, punching her with all the force in his metal arm. She is sent flying across the street, smashing a hole into a small shop’s glass window.
The blond is on her feet in seconds, flying up and quickly crashing down into him, knocking him into the ground. He reacts quickly, rolling to the side as Supergirl goes in for another punch. He grabs her by the neck and slam her into the pavement.
“Go back to your dead planet, Supergirl.” Cyborg Superman says her name like she’s pure filth, spitting it out with such disgust and contempt.
“Hey Dickbot! Need a hand?” You shout from the roof of the small shop, smiling. You jump down, landing gracefully, and throw your actual hand at him, hitting the CADMUS soldier in the face with a loud thump.
Shocked and maybe even a little grossed out, Cyborg Superman releases his grip on Supergirl, just enough for her to break free and give him a roundhouse kick in the jaw. He crumples onto the floor, and she steps over him, delivering the finishing blow, knocking him out cold.
“You really shouldn’t have come.” She says, mimicking his condescending tone from earlier.
You pick up the hand you threw at Cyborg Superman and use it to clap for Supergirl, smacking it against your stump, creating an odd sort of clapping noise.
“That’s some good shit, right there. 10 out of 10 for style, form, and sick one liners. Great job.”
You both smile at each other, another menace stopped, thanks to Supergirl and and Y/S/N, National City’s heroes.

Teen Titans AU
Requested by anonymous
*In this AU, Yukio is Robin, Shiemi is Starfire, Ryuji is Cyborg, Rin is Raven, Shima is Beast Boy, Konekomaru is Aqualad, Izumo is Terra, and Satan is Trigon.
Smoke and screams filled the air as buildings collapsed left and right, the ground shaking from the impact. Fires raged everywhere, lighting up the night sky. However, the glow wasn’t red; it was blue.
In a set of extremely unfortunate circumstances, Satan had managed to break through from Gehenna into Assiah and he was doing his best to make his presence known. He towered over 200 feet, destroying the city as he pleased.
There was only one group in the city that had any chance of defeating Satan. And it was the Teen Titans.
Yukio is their fearless leader. Despite not possessing any superpowers, his amazing acrobatic agility, his impressive marksmanship, and his level head make him an obvious choice for man-in-charge.
Shiemi is a beautiful alien girl descended from the planet of Amahara. She is one of the kindest and bravest people you will ever meet. She’s able to fire green bolts of energy from her hands and eyes, and also possesses the ability to fly and make plants grow wherever she goes.
Ryuji (known as Cyborg from his fans) suffered severe wounds when Satan once possessed his body during the Blue Night. In order to save his life, he was equipped with robotic implants. More machine than man, Ryuji still has a genuine sense of humanity and will do anything to protect his friends.
Rin is the most mysterious of the group. His powers include flying, telekinetic and psychokinetic powers, and the ability to fire blue flame at will. The blue fire is a result of him being Satan’s biological son. However, he was raised by a monk, Shiro Fujimoto, who taught him to use his powers. He does his best to distance himself from his teammates to prevent them from getting hurt, but he still cares for them fiercely.
Shima, the fellow prankster of the group, has truly earned his nickname “Beast Boy”; not only because he can turn into relatively any animal, but because he’s also a completely shameless flirt (Izumo constantly falls victim to him).
Konekomaru (a.k.a. Aqualad) has the ability to communicate with sea creatures and is pretty darn good at hand-to-hand combat. One of the newer members of the Teen Titans, he's also able to control and conjure any body of water as long as he recites the correct sutras.
Izumo, the newest member, is able to control the ground at her will (this includes boulders, rocks, dirt, etc.). Despite her confidence, she actually has a difficult time controlling her powers. The only one who knows this is Shima, and she would kill him if anyone found out.
As soon as news of the destruction had reached them, Yukio ordered the team to roll out.
The city was a mess. Not only was Satan wreaking havoc, many of his lesser demons were also running amok in the city. Yukio shouted out orders to his comrades.
“Konekomaru, try to get some water on those fires! Shima, guard him! Izumo and Shiemi, do your best to clear the areas of civilians. Ryuji and Rin, let’s take out these demons!”
Each member instantly went to their job. Koneko furrowed his brow in concentration and began reciting his sutras. A mass of water began forming in the air, which he then threw over the flames. The blue inferno hissed as it was put out by the holy water.
Shima transformed into a wolf and began attacking the demons who got anywhere near his friend. He flicked demons away left and right, pouncing and utilizing his sharp teeth when needed.
Shiemi began rounding up the civilians, directing those who could walk, and transporting the ones who were injured. Izumo kept them safe by forming barriers of ground and stone to keep the demons away.
Ryuji, Rin, and Yukio went to work taking out the bigger demons. They fought like clockwork; years of experience together made them completely comfortable fighting side-by-side.
The girls joined them once it was clear, and Shima and Koneko rejoined when the worst of the fires were out.
“What now?” asked Ryuji.
Yukio went to answer, but stopped when he felt the ground quiver. Everyone braced themselves as the vibrations grew stronger and faster.
Then suddenly, Satan was looming over the Titans, emitting a powerful, bright blue light. Along with the light came a high-pitched whine.
The sound pierced straight into the Titans brains causing them to clutch their heads in agony and screech at the pain. One by one, each fell to their knees, then slipped out of consciousness.
All except Rin. He was the only Titan left standing.
“Yukio? Shiemi?”
He ran to each of his friends, but they were all out cold.
Suddenly a shadow passed across Rin. He looked up in horror to see Satan rising above him menacingly, a wicked grin spread across his features.
“Farewell, my son.”
Blue fire began to light up around him. He fired at the Teen Titans, but Rin protected them with his own telekinetic barrier of fire.
Satan was shocked, but he still remained mostly unfazed.
“You may have retained some trace of my power,” he growled. “But you are still no threat to me, little boy. I am your creator! Your master! You exist only to serve me! You survive only because I allow it! What hope could a child have of defeating his own powerful father!”
Rin bowed his head as he listened to his father’s hurtful words. But then he looked up, eyes filled with determination.
“You may have created me,” he muttered. Then he let his full voice ring out in defiance of the Demon Lord, “But you were never my father!”
His whole body suddenly raged up in blue fire, a sight so bright it almost rivaled Satan’s. Rin channeled his power and fired at his father. The blow hit him square in the chest and he staggered back.
The other Titans began coming to as they saw Rin purposefully stride towards his enemy.
“You wretched-” Satan went to swing at Rin only to be knocked back by another blast.
“Fathers are kind! Fathers protect you! Fathers raise you!” After each statement, Rin fired another blast. He was slowly pushing Satan towards the edge of the city.
“I was protected by Shiro Fujimoto! I was raised by my friends!” The Titans had moved up to stand supportively by Rin’s side. They all placed a hand on Rin, transferring their energy and power to him to deal the final blow.
“They are my family! This is my home! And you are not welcome here!”
In a final burst of blue flame, Satan shrieked as his body was consumed by his own child’s flame and forcibly thrown back into Gehenna.
Once the light faded, there was nothing left but the rubble of the previous fight to show there had even been one at all.
Rin fell to his knees; that final blow had drained most of his energy.
“Rin!”
The others were instantly by his side.
“Are you ok?”
“Are you hurt?”
“We need to get him to the hospital!”
“Guys, guys, guys!” Rin waved them off. “I’m fine! I’m fine! Just tired. Thank goodness you’re all safe.”
Yukio knelt down as well and placed a hand on Rin’s shoulder.
“We couldn’t have done it without you. You saved us all Rin. That’s what being a Teen Titan is all about. We’re all so proud of you.”
Rin smiled at his friends, for once, feeling fully accepted; feeling like he belonged.
Everyone else bent down as well and enveloped Rin into a big hug. Rin hadn’t been wrong. They truly were family.

Who Could Love A Monster? Chapter 2
My first attempt at fanfic. I plan this to be a multi-chapter BBRae story.
Read chapter one here.
Robin and Starfire have started trying to date. As their affection grew it stirred some longing in some of their fellow titans, Raven doesn’t think anyone could love her because of her demonic nature. This doubt has to be put on the back burner as a new threat looms over the city, but during the fight Raven is reminded she isn’t as alone as she thinks in this department.
As his wings beat down on the air, Beast Boy fumed. “How could she say that? How could she forget that I know exactly what it feels like to have a monster inside me?” he thought to himself. Flapping again Beast Boy turned his falcon eyes below. Robin raced ahead on his motorcycle, Starfire flying close above him, the T car revved high in its pursuit of the boy wonder and his girlfriend. Everyone was racing to the call in their usual ways except Raven. Instead of flying she chose to ride in the T car. The distance to the attack was large enough that Beast Boy’s hurt died down enough to think a bit more clearly.
“Rae wouldn’t normally have forgotten that.” he thinks “Maybe that’s not really Rae. Maybe she was replaced by the Brain Swappers” The image of the comic book villains appeared in his head, attacking Raven and piloting her body around like a robot. Old habits die hard.  “Come on man, Be serious. What ever is wrong with Rae has to be bad if she forgot that.” He decided to take a look at the cause of his pain. He tilted his green wings and dived down beside the T car. With out the high altitude tail wind he was only able to keep up with the robotic titan for a few moments, just long enough to inspect his passenger.
Raven sat in the back of the T car. She had chosen the middle seat and she was doing her best to meditate with the seat belt on. As Beast Boy looked at her face his falcon eyes took in every detail with more precision than a human eye ever could. Though to look at her, any other person would see the calm look on her face, Beast Boy could tell she was anything but. He knew Raven, he knew how to tell what was wrong with her by the way she meditated. Subtle hints betrayed her, her calm look was forced.
The green falcon lost speed and his friend spend off. He flapped hard to climb back up to his previous altitude. “Something might be off with her emotions. The last time she was like this it took Cy and I fighting a giant demon in Rae’s head to get her back to normal.” he recalled. The tail wind finally caught him and the changeling started catching up with the other titans. “I’ll have to watch her when we get there. When she’s like this she can do some scary things.” Flashbacks to the Wicked Scary event and her take down of Dr. Light rushed to the surface.
His train of though derailed when they turned the corner, a block away from the alert. Robin swerved to miss the sudden car that flipped right toward him. The T car drove right under this new projectile as it reached the height of its bounce. Both vehicles came to a sudden stop to face this new threat. The assailant was a large monster. Seven feet tall at least. Its black, leathery skin was broken by bright red veins coursing all over his body. The horns on its head were broken and crooked. Clawed hands were poised to attack as the monster let out a loud roar.
The new adversary jumped high and, before they could react, landed on the hood of the T car. The front end of the car was crushed beneath the weight as beast boy dove fast to help his friends. Raven and Cyborg bolted out of the now wrecked vehicle as starbolts cascaded down upon the threat. The monster retreated a few steps and this assault was accompanied by Robin’s grenades. Once the creature had a second to recover himself, it let out another loud roar. Just then the falcon above him swooped down and charged him, just before impact the shapeshifter change and pinned the demon-looking monster to the ground with one large clawed foot. Beast Boy opened his toothy jaws and let loose an even louder roar as his dinosaur form towered above.
“NO NO NO! My baby! Why does everyone have to hurt my baby?!” came the pathetic voice of Cyborg. He turned his attention to the perpetrator underneath the T Rex. “Yo! I’m gonna make you pay for wrecking my car!” he yelled.
“Um friend, I think that will have to wait. It seems he was not alone.” came the worried voice of Starfire. The team followed her finger ans she pointed past the monster. around the corner there came, first one darkly clad man, then a dozen behind. These newcomers wore what Beast Boy thought to be togas. The garments varied between red and black but what was disconcerning was the men beneath them. Their skin was the same black, red veined, leather like substance that covered the monster. Some of them even had small horns.
“No... It can’t be” came the soft response from Raven. Seeing that the first threat was now unconscious, Beast Boy transformed back to his human form. “Rae are you alright?” responded the green titan. Before she could reply the dark clad men charged with a unified yell. “Titans go!” their fearless leader shouted.
Turning his attention back to the task at hand Beast Boy set a collision course with the mob before him. His feet hit the pavement first with the soft padding of his shoes, followed by the hard clack of his hooves as he changed into a raging bull. A blue streak filled the right side of his vision as Cyborg’s sonic blast passed over his shoulder. The Teen Titans fought these men hard, as did their opponents them. All the while Beast Boy did his beast to watch Raven. This almost caused him to get careless a few times, as his desire to protect her grew.
Raven chanted the words she knew so well. “Azerath Metrion Zinthos!” The parking meter beside her was encased in shadow and ripped from its position. The now possessed object swung like a bat and hit her opponent square in the ribs, sending him flying. With a moment to think she whispered to herself, “this can’t be happening.” These men were followers of Trigon. Fear threatened to break free of her control as her dream came to the front of her mind. “I won’t let that happen.” she growled. She could sense another emotion trying to break loose too. Her voice was dripping with rage. Starfire flew over and laid down a carpet of starbolts. She watched her alien pass, noting that the end of her attack lead straight to Robin.
These men were strong enough that all the Titans were forced to give it their all. “YYYAAAAAA” came the hearty cry of Cyborg, fists colliding with another demonic enemy. His robotic strength was enough to overpower the smaller robed man, but it didn’t have the desired effect of sending him flying. A quick kick remedied that problem. Before she could take in any more of the battle Raven set to the air to avoid her first enemy’s return attack. Her anger told her to rip him apart. She channeled her powers as well as her willpower, to pick up the assailant and throw him into his allies, as opposed to the suggestion from Rage.
Two more of his friends replaced him. One of them took his weapon, a demonic looking grappling hook, and managed to hook it around her waist. With a yank he brought her to the ground with a loud thud. The pain of the impact angered her. “Control your anger or...” Raven’s thought was cut short by the second enemy’s kick to her ribs. Anger again boiled higher as the first man returned to the fray. She blocked his punch with a dark barrier.
She tried to take to the air again. She had a brief look of the battle field. Starfire was helping Robin to his feet. Cyborg was being dog piled by four of her father’s soldiers. And Beast Boy? She spotted him as he entered her field of vision. He did not do so willingly though. The green loin slid on the pavement before hitting a light pole. The impact caused Beast Boy to transform back to his human form. The scene was becoming all to similar to her dream. Before she could do anything for her friends she was yanked down to the ground again by the grappling hook still around her waist.
That was all she could take. Anger broke free. Not because of what they did you her, but because what they did to her friends. To Beast Boy. All four of her eyes opened at once. “I won’t let you hurt my friends!” came her demonic yell. A black sphere expanded out from her core, removing the grappling hook and distanced her enemies from her. Then, she gave in to rage. Her last thought was of Beast Boy lying by the light pole.
Continued in chapter 3.

“Move!
“Do as we have been doing Quiver, keep her in front with you Tall while Ghost, Wasp and I will keep the Covenant busy down here okay?” Spear ordered pointing at him and Eryl.
“Don’t worry Gary, she’ll be right.” Grant stated turning to Sibil. “Come on Sibil let's leg it.” Sibil didn’t hesitate and pushed herself to walk at pace with Grant towards the supposed evac station. --------------------------------------------------------------- I was holding off on posting this one but my sudden disappearance from art in general kinda called for something to be posted, I'm still working on this one as I'll make a background and finish it all. This is a small side chapter in Quiver to Arrows where while retreating from a vicious covenant blitz the Spartans discover an abandoned mother and her son at one of the stations to their destination under Ceideht City. Not wanting to leave them to the hungry brutes that were right on their tail. They decide to carry the 2 civilians with them while holding the Covenant's advance at bay.
