"Bakugo, seriously. Just let me--"

"Fuck off! I'm not letting your gross lips kiss me!" Bakugo is blushing furiously, limping around with a surprising amount of speed given his sprained ankle.

"Stop acting like such a child!"

"FUCK YOU!"

You quickly dart around the bed he's hiding behind, grabbing him by the nape of his neck and smashing your lips against his cheek. You activate your quirk quickly, and then pull back just as fast. "See, that wasn't so bad!"

Bakugo doesn't answer. In fact, he looks like he didn't even register your words. His face is completely red, but his features are contorted into the most furious scowl you've seen on him yet.

"Woah, okay... look, I'm just doing my job, okay? Please don't--"

"Bye."

Bakugo stomps off on his now healed ankle, hands shoved deep into his pockets. Once the door is slammed behind him, you swear you hear him mutter a "holy fucking shit holy shit oh my god holy shit"

...Nah, you're probably imagining things.

todoroki !

"You... have to kiss me?" Todoroki frowns at the burn on his arm.

"Yes. As I said, I'm Recovery Girl's grandson."

"She... has a grandson?"

"...Yes," you furrow your brows, watching as Todoroki stares at you with a perplexed yet intrigued expression. "Please just let me kiss you now."

He nods, and leans in with his eyes closed and lips puckered. Aiming for your lips.

"Woah, now!" quickly, you place a hand on his mouth. He opens his eyes, startled. "Take me out to dinner first. I meant on your cheek. Or your hand, or something."

"Oh."

"Yeah, oh."

You feel kinda bad. The poor guy averts his eyes completely, the tips of his ears red and his head lowered. He raises his hand towards you, and you quickly grasp it and kiss him on the back of his hand.

Mesmerised, Todoroki watches as his burn slowly recedes until his skin is smooth and free of blemishes. "...Thank you."

"Not a problem!"

Silence, for a moment. You wonder why he hasn't left yet.

"Can I take you out to dinner?"

midoriya !

"Is your quirk an exact replica of Recovery Girl's?"

"Mine doesn't make you as tired."

"Really? How does that work? Does it use your stamina instead of the stamina of person you're healing? Or does it drain something else from someone? Let's say, their thirst? Maybe hunger? What about--"

"Midoriya," you sigh. He stops muttering. "I'm here to heal you. I'm happy to answer your questions, but you are getting blood all over the floor."

He looks down.

There's... a bit of a puddle. Not a big one, but still... a puddle.

"Give me your hand," you murmur, holding out your own hand. He obliges, blushing heavily when you gently grasp his. Bringing it up to your mouth, you kiss Midoriya's hand softly -- the large cut on his arm fading into pale, freckled skin.

"Perfect," you drop his hand. "Are you feeling better?"

He nods enthusiastically, inspecting his arm with interest. Midoriya watches intently as you walk over to the cupboards and grab a towel to mop up the mess on the floor. He stays silent for a minute or two, just watching quietly. Once you finish, he speaks once more.

"...Can I ask you questions now?"

bakugo : it was an accident but he doesn't want to admit it since he's a stubborn bastard. wouldn't snap out of it until he sees his (s/o) in danger or hurt and would instantly go in to protective mode cause he actually cares about them deep inside despite not showing it. then when he and his (s/o) are in bed and he thinks they’re asleep he’ll whisper a ‘i love you’ and apologise - would never actually admit it to them if they were conscious.

midoriya : ok, epitome of ABSOULUTE CUTIE - first person to admit he is wrong, would apologise profusely and pampers his (s/o) non stop. he feels so bad that his (s/o) can’t be mad at him for long cause I mean, have you seen him. his s/o would have to reassure him for months after the argument that they forgive him as he is definitely going to be feeling guilty for a while.

todoroki : would apologise the next morning and feels so bad cause he feels like he's turning into his father. hugs his (s/o) tightly, scared that they are going to leave. after a lot of reassurance he feels slightly better, his (s/o) having to tell him over and over that it is ok to have fights as couples and that it was perfectly normal to disagree with each other - its what makes us all human.

Nobody likes their sleep disturbed. Abruptly woken from a sickening nightmare, It just felt so real. Once they realized it was in fact a night terror, they roll over facing you. You’re peacefully sleeping, taking up most of the bed. They felt the weight leave their chest and let out a quiet sigh of relief. Deep down they’d never forgive themself if something happened to you, they don’t even want to picture what it’d be like without you. listening to your soft breathing and your movement against the sheets as you get comfortable again knocks them out of the thoughts of the dream. They very slowly & gently locks their fingers with yours, not wanting to wake you. They press a gentle kiss on your forehead before getting comfortable. The smell of your body wash and the mixture of the fresh sheets helps them drift back asleep.

Early stages:

As a partner, during the early stages he'd be very nervous to make the first moves, because he isnt sure yet what you'd like or if you're comfortable with some things.

Would love it if you made the first move though

Like holding hands underneath the cafeteria tables, patting his hair as a 'good job!' after training or just slinging your arm around him

He loves it when you do any physical affection

Poor boy's touch starved, he'll take whatever he can get

Would love parallel play, something about just the two of you, sitting in peace and doing your own things

Its nice and quiet, he isn't overwhelmed and there isn't any preassure to do anything, just the both of you in each other's company

Gives you lots of small gifts, like keychains or fancy bookmarks, anything that suits your taste

One time he even got you a small little plushie and placed it on your desk with no explanation whatsoever

Cuddling comes awkward to him at first, but he comes around after a while

By a while I mean MONTHS

He's just not used to it, hugging is already awkward for him, so its hard for him to just lay in your arms for a long period of time

What does he do? Is there a correct way to cuddle? Should he be doing something? Where does he lay his head?

Would definitely search up 'cuddle poses' online

But he just gets even more confused and goes down a deep rabbit hole about cuddling

Affections/comfort:

When he does come around, that's the way he recharges at the end of the day

After a long day of work and socialising he just wants some peace, quiet and some cuddles from his partner

Would just walk in wherever you were, lie down on top of your torso and just stay there, eyes closed and breathing slowed as he calms down

Would rather be the one being held , adores it when you rub circles into his back to soothe him

Would just randomly lay his head on your shoulder whenever he's tired but can't properly sit down and rest during training

And then at this point, he's more comfortable with initiating stuff

He doesn't know what to do if you're ever in a situation that requires comfort

The boy's a bit dense, okay? He saw Momo crying and asked if she was feeling nauseous, then immediately told her there's a preassure point somewhere to relieve it

Offers you his favourite food or any sort of advice because those things are what usually helps him feel better

Would ask you whats wrong, and try his best to fix the problem instead of reassuring you since he's not really good with comforting people

"Whats wrong?" He asks upon entering the room and seeing you sitting down somewhere, eyes puffy and a frustrated look on your face.

"I'm just really overwhelmed, Shoto, all this work is putting stress on me.." You say, wiping your eyes even though the tears stopped a long time ago.

There was a moment of silence, Shoto stands in front of you, hands awkwardly raised up to his sides unsure of what to do.

"Are you hungry?" He asked, and you just look at him confused.

"I have leftover soba.."

You smile at him, standing up and making your way to the kitchen. He sits next to you and you both just share the plate in silence before he speaks again.

"If you're stressed next time, you can just tell me. I'll help you."

"I have notes for our classes to help you simplify everything. It is essential that a person rests appropriately and avoid overworking themselves." He says, and you can't help but smile, chuckling a little at how punctual he is.

Who would know?:

Isn't one to loudly declare he's in a relationship, in fact people didn't know until it slipped one day.

"Shoto, do you want to go out today?" You ask him whilst passing by the common room of the dorms, he was talking- well, engaging in a one sided conversation with some of your classmates.

"Woah, first name basis huh? You two must be close then Todoroki-kun"

"Well yeah, they're my partner."

"YOUR WHAT?!"

Everyone would bombared you guys with questions after that

Shoto just answers it shortly, keeping it simple

"When did you guys start dating?"

"Three months ago."

"A few months ago?! And you didn't tell us?? Man, i thought we were friends, Todoroki.."

"I hope this doesn't cause you both to slack off during exercises, your education is still important!"

"Wow Todoroki, have you guys done it yet?? Must be nice having a partner~"

Mineta immediately got kicked by you after that

Shoto's indifferent to making your relationship public, if you wanted to or don't want to, he's fine with anything

Would prefer the relationship to only be known to people he actually knew instead of like announcing it to everyone

Example: his class, friends, your family.

Although sometimes he might let it slip because he thinks about you alot in between classes

It would take time for him to talk about his relationship to his family, especially Endevour

Fuyumi would be you guys' #1 supporter and the first one to find out

Natsuo's a little more distant to shoto than Fuyumi is, so he'd be third to find out, right after his mother

Endevour would only be told after like 6 months of dating

Who knows, maybe Shoto would be spiteful enough to not even tell him for years

Public Display of Affection:

Shoto will hold your hands under tables or stay close to you by your side and hold hands if no one's paying attention.

Doesn't like PDA as much, at most he'll hold your hands and lay his head on your shoulder when you're out in public

He just doesn't like showing that very new and vulnerable side of him being affectionate to the world

Plus, it brings his guard down because he's fully relaxed if he's affectionate with you

Thoughts of the future:

Todoroki's the type of person to just slow down and be in the moment with you but then blurt about a highly detailed future with you out of nowhere

You would go shopping and you'd spot him eyeing a plant in a store

When you ask what he's thinking about, he with a straight face say:

"You said you like these. If we get one when we move in together, do you think the two cats we'll have will be disturbing these or would it be fine considering ragdoll cats are mostly known for their relaxed nature? "

"Shoto we haven't even graduated yet!"

If you're a hero too, he trusts you fully to take care of yourself during missions or any villain attacks

Would interfere if he has to, if anything were to happen to you during missions he'd be heartbroken

Going down a spiral of the things he could've done to protect you, to make sure you were safe

He also wouldn't hold back during any training just because your his partner, he believes you both need to grow strong together to become heroes

If you weren't a hero, he'd try his best to protect you if you were ever caught up in his hero nonsense

Totally supports any career you wanted to take up, claiming that he'll be the one to take care of everything financially

I mean, better use Endevour's card for SOMETHING

Wants at least one cat in the house, ragdolls specifically

Kids are not something he has in mind, especially considering he'd like to focus on you and his career

He also doesn't want to end up like his dad

Would consider children if you both are stable in your lives and careers

And if you don't want kids, he's fine with that too

The house would be remodeled into those old Japanese ones like his dorm room, if you didn't like it he'd have at least his work office that way

My In-Laws ~ Part II of 'My Mistake' YANDERE TODOROKI SHOTO

A/N: This is a quirkless AU so the Todoroki family isn't as fucked up. Touya never left but Enji is still lowkey an asshole. Also sorry this took a while, haven't been feeling very well.

You should have gone to law school like your mom wanted you to. You had such a bright future. Now here you were, dressed to the nines, heading to an event you had no business being at, with a man who was convinced the both of you were madly in love.

Some people would consider it a win, especially with how powerful and wealthy the Todoroki name was. However, the circumstances that had led to your situation were less than ideal.

"I'm so glad you decided to match with me, my love," Shoto said, sending a small smile your way.

"You burned all my other clothes," you responded dryly, swatting his hand from your thigh.

The asshole pretended like he didn't even hear you. "It's good for us to present a united front against my family. This might come as a surprise but we aren't exactly a regular family."

You glanced out of the blacked out windows of the chauffer driven car you were in to the convoy that followed in front and behind, filled with armed guards. "You don't say."

Shoto sighed morosely. "It's shocking, I know. I must warn you that some of my family aren't very, how would you say, mentally stable."

"...is that so?" you asked the man who decided he was in love with you as he was tied up in your basement. Honestly, the whole thing was starting to sound like some big, elaborate prank he was pulling. But no, Shoto began his spiel, completely oblivious to your sarcasm.

"Take my eldest brother for example," he began. "We aren't supposed to talk about him, actually. It's...really been very difficult for my family..."

"Oh...did something happen to him?" You asked, feeling kind of bad.

"Hmm? No, we just can't reveal too much information so it won't be used against him in court." Shoto gave you a blank look. "He burnt down a school district. It's been really hard for my family to keep him out of prison so he's on house arrest now."

...of course he was.

The rest of the drive was filled with stories of Shoto's siblings and mother. You weren't sure if you wanted to meet actually them or if you wanted to throw yourself out of the car, but before you could make a decision, the car arrived in front of a large compound. You gaped in awe as the gates swung open to reveal a mansion and grounds even grander than Shoto's.

There was a butler who welcomed you to the mansion, while his eyes tried to communicate with you to run. Now that was a tempting idea. But there was no backing out now. Plus, Shoto had gotten used to your escape attempts and his hand was like a shackle on your wrist. You gazed around the interior of the mansion, your hands itching to pinch some of the smaller but still expensive looking art pieces.

"You're here!" A cheery voice made you turn towards the large grandiose staircase where a beautiful woman stood. She had long white hair, tipped with red, similar to Shoto's half. Must be Fuyumi then, the only 'normal' one in the family according to Shoto.

You smile thinly as she wraps you in a hug. "It's so to finally meet you!" she exclaimed. "Everyone is in the dining room already!"

Shoto snatched you back into his arms before Fuyumi could drag you away but she just chuckled and rolled her eyes at you. "Shoto was always so possessive with his things."

Things? Your smile grew a bit more strained but neither of them seemed to notice or care. The dining room was just as opulent as the rest of the house but you barely got to appreciate it, instead, all you took notice of was the mix of bright blue and grey eyes staring at you.

"This is Y/N. Don't be weird," Shoto introduced, oh so eloquently. The heads of the table were occupied by a giant red haired man and a tiny woman with silver hair flowing down her back. Two young men sat opposite each other and Fuyumi slipped into a chair, patting the seat next to her for you. Shoto ignored her and pulled you to sit next to him.

You nodded at them awkwardly. "Hello. Nice to meet you."

"You're kind of hot." A redhead with an ankle monitor and a disturbingly predatory grin piped up. "Like in a trapped mouse kind of way. I like it."

"Hush, Touya," the older woman said sternly. "He didn't mean that, dear."

"Nah, he has a point." The other young man, Natsuo probably, smiled at you, looking at you slowly from top to bottom. "There's something appealing there."

"I said don't be weird. Keep it in your fucking pants." Shoto glared at the both of them and if it were anyone else, you might have felt worried for them, however, the atmosphere in the room never changed.

"That's enough, all of you." The large man said gruffly. He must be Enji, the generally disliked patriarch. "Y/N, was it? Welcome."

"I'm sure Shoto has told you all about us. But we barely know anything about you, my dear," Rei said kindly. "How did you and our Shoto meet?"

"Oh, um-" You glanced around the room, wide eyed, only to be met with curious gazes from the family. Panicked, you shrank back into your seat. "We- uh, we met by chance, you know, it was like sooo romantic, haha. It was a park-yeah...".

Touya rolled his eyes and Natsuo scoffed into his wine glass. Enji silently raised an eyebrow. "Well, that sounds...nice," Fuyumi laughed awkwardly. "Very romantic..."

Shoto cleared his throat. "Y/N tried to kidnap me the first time that we met."

It was as if the tension just bled out of the room. Rei gasped in delight and smiled at Enji. "Oh, it reminds me of how me met! You remember when I tried to kill you?" He gave his wife a small, fond smile and nodded.

"Oh now, I'm definitely interested," Touya purred. "Looks like we have a little psychopath on out hands."

"You'll fit right in then, pretty," Natsuo added with a laugh. "We're all some kind of fucked up."

"I knew it!" Fuyumi exclaimed, eyes sparkling. "The moment I saw you, I knew you were special!"

Shoto leaned in, whispering, "I think they like you. Not sure if that's a good or bad thing."

Oh you knew what it was. As excited chatter from the Todoroki family began to fill the room, you knew that you had just gotten yourself entangled with one of the most dangerous groups of people in the world.

And that was a very bad thing indeed.

It has flown by

Spending time together is his love language

So you and his mom spending time together is a great thing

So the moment he told you his mom wanted to meet you got scared and excited

You walked to the hospital together and the nurses and doctors knew him which helped your nerves a slightly bit

You saw a door marked "rei todoroki"

Shoto stopped in front of it and look over and said "you ready"

You nodded slowly as he knocked and a small feminine voice said "come in"

You enter to see rei sitting at her desk writing in a journal

"Hi" you said as she look up to see he youngest and you

"Hello" she said changing her sitting position to face you

"I'm rei" she made eye contact as she tried to read you

"Y/n" you said sitting on the chair next to shoto

She was not as scary as you thought

She was much calmer than she other son but not as up tied as her only daughter

She was kind as you talked

And when visiting hours ended she asked "please come back to talk"

You only nodded before bowing

todoroki shoto grew up in a harsh environment and i feel like that would be why he would become a yandere.

todoroki would be yandere for someone who is kind and caring, and wouldn’t ogle his burn scar or maybe they even find it’s pretty.

when todoroki is yandere, it’s subtle. he doesn’t show his emotions through facial expressions, and his body language is hard to read, so you likely wouldn’t know until it’s too late.

todoroki isn’t the type of yandere to remove you from society unless you’re a danger to yourseld or you’re IN danger.

todoroki would (with his father’s card) pay someone to bug your phone so that he has access to all of your activity and location at all times. he’s never far from you.

todoroki also would pay someone to keep watch over you so that you’re always safe.

if todoroki feels like you aren’t paying enough attention to him, he’s much like Yan!Deku where he subtly isolates you from the sidelines by spreading rumours and manipulating you.

todoroki is breaking his back to become a hero, so he won’t murder anyone with his own hands, but he will pay someone else to do it.

if anyone finds out what hes doing, he’ll either have someone kill them, or will use hush money to keep it under wraps.

todoroki is a closeted pervert, so he will sneak into your house and steal your underwear/panties to help him get off to the thought of you/smell and will return them once the scent is gone in a place that you frequently lose things or somewhere you (believably) misplaced it.

shoto as a yandere, if you can overlook the immoral behavior and the murder, is actually kinda sweet.

he’ll learn to cook for you and make you nice dinners

he’ll spoil you with his father’s money- without your knowledge of course- and you’ll find them in your room when you get home.

todoroki isn’t entirely delusional, so he knows that once you find out, you’ll be devastated and he’ll lose your trust, so he’ll do everything in his power to make sure you don’t find out.

todoroki loves you very, very much and would go to any length to make sure you’re safe and happy- except for leaving you alone.

Bnha Gay Panic

Male readers never get enough love, especially for soft fluff! So this is my gift to you (and me)

Deku

Midoriya never had time for relationships. Sure, he’s had celebrity crushes, or school crushes, and a few puppy loves, but this…He panics, in very Izuku fashion. He is taking notes, he’s bought three new notebooks just for his notes on his emotions, about you, and then just a bunch of other notes about you and his feelings. Eventually when All Might sees it and asks what it is, Izuku asks “have you ever liked someone but more than liked?” Toshinori sends him to Aizawa who gives him a long talk, and helps him figure out he does indeed like like you.

A new notebook on how to move forward. Does he date you, or does he let these feelings slowly go away? What if they don’t go away? What if you don’t like him like that? Someone help him!

Eventually outs himself by muttering and you catch something along the lines of "y/n would like that, it's their favorite colour, maybe ask them out with that as a gift, maybe..." and he just stares at you in panic.

First date is super awkward, but sweet. Probably goes out on a study date to the library then a small cafe, and then getting back for curfew. Aizawa probably was secretly waiting up for you both as he secretly loves his class. Don't say anything if you notice him stalking you during the date.

Dating Deku in the beginning is EXTREMELY awkward! He is just a blushy baby, but it calms down the longer you date. Eventually you get into a nice groove, study dates every week, and one special date once a month. Also Mama Midoriya loves you, and LOVES getting messages about how you two are doing! She has already adopted you, you don't get the choice.

Shouto

Look me in the eyes and tell me this baby has any idea about ANY relationship! You can’t, he’s clueless! So when he starts feeling warm and fuzzy around you, he thinks you’re just his best friend. When he gets sad when you have to leave, it’s cause he enjoys spending time with you! Eventually Ochako smacks some sense into him by explaining crushes. (Shouto is dragged to a girl night for a full on lecture which leaves him even more confused but it’s okay, he figures it out)

He eventually decides he wants to try it out, and in very Shouto fashion, just asks you right then and there, middle of class, probably in front of a bunch of people. Most decide to give you some privacy, while Mina, Denki, and Sero try to stay behind to watch.

Dating Shouto is not much different from being friends, other than the more one on one excursions, and him now buying you anything and everything! His family is excited to meet you, and his mom knows SO much about you too! Fumi is planning your favorite dinner, and Natsuo is studying up on any hobbies you have! Enji feels weird about his son dating (literally anyone, he’s not homophobic in this!) and doesn’t know if he should be aggressive to scare you off or be nice and happy that his son is happy.

Your first date is very soft, and comfortable. Ochako, Deku and Idia plan a movie night for a bunch of romance movies to take notes, and Shouto decides to do the “park plan”. A cafe restaurant, then just walk through the park, if it gets cold he gives you his coat, feed the ducks, ect. And it actually went to plan!

Bakugo glared at the neatly wrapped gift on your desk. The skin on his knuckles was taut and white, blunt fingernails digging into the palm of his hand. As he watched Todoroki return to his seat, hands now empty, his anger worsened.

"For fucks sake..."

of course, this guy is possessive and jealous as soon as he finds out that todoroki and midoriya are secret admirers of yours

he finds out very quickly since he’s pretty damn smart

he’s just glad that you can differentiate their handwriting

you’re aware you’ve got 3 admirers (though you’re pretty shocked how)

he’ll confront both of them pretty quickly

he’s angry, but he’s aware they’re not gonna stop — so he’s the one to declare a competition.

this only adds to his determination

he almost treats it like becoming the no. 1 hero even though he knows that bakugo and todoroki are his competition

if he, a previously quirkless boy, can become the no. 1 hero, then he can surely score you as well

returns the declaration of war to both bakugo and todoroki

he adds more emotions to his little letters for you

starts adding stickers to them too!!

(hero themed of course)

(and some of the stickers are scented)

tries to hang out with you as much as he possibly can

starts recommending movies to you that he conveniently occasionally starts watching when he’s in the common room of heights alliance

“what are you watching midoriya?”

“oh, just [movie name]”

“really? someone actually recommended that to me… is it any good?”

“yeah! do you want me to restart it? we can watch it together”

what a strategic guy

he’d try to initiate more contact with you in front of todoroki or bakugo

but either he’d cower in front of bakugo

or he wouldn’t muster up the courage to

and if he does initiate contact in front of them

he turns into the most flustered, babbling mess ever

and bakugo starts seething

but it’s ok midoriya will sacrifice himself in order to touch you

glancing at the food on his thumb, he held eye contact with you while he stuck it in his mouth.

and then he just continues like nothing happened

this guy will give you whiplash

the specific gifts he gives you won't change much but they'll get more romantic

some things that have engravings on them will have super corny lines on them

very cheesy but again, also very romantic

a/n: hope everyone is having a great day, this is how I imagine they fuck up their confessions to their crush - but they are adorable so ofc they get away with it.

todoroki : oblivious to everything , even if his crush makes it super obvious he won’t realise. wasn't until he overhead a bunch of people talking about it, and he was like *wait a damn second* THEY’VE LIKED ME ALL THIS TIME?! even after that he’s a little sceptical so his friends would definitely need to convince him to get over it and just ask. would be super shy to confess even though he literally knows that they like him too .. he plans to go up to them after to school and ask directly if they wanna maybe go out and get something to eat but in the end he chickens out and slips them a note that just says "wanna go get cold soba after school". his crush is so confused because he’s just standing in a corner (attempting to hide) watching them with the most expressionless face ever (internally he is absolutely dying) waiting for them to finish reading the note.

bakugo : definitely tries to act all rough around them but when he finds out that they like him too he is like a puppy inside. cue him trying to act cool but failing miserably. for some unknown reason goes up to his poor crush and confidently decides to say "I know you like me", ends up saying it in a weirdly aggressive voice by accident so his crush is just there super freaked out, seeing their lack of reaction he just kind of does an awkward cough and says in a slightly quieter (and less aggressive) voice “umm we could like go get some food after school.. if you want... its okay if you don't.. I-". yeah, not exactly his proudest moment..

i think that shoto todoroki would love to spend time with you by doing menial tasks and household chores together. things like laundry or tidying up your dorm, things that really don't require two people but still he likes to do them alongside you.

on saturday mornings you do laundry together. it started as a case of efficiency for dorm life, as combining your loads would be faster and use less water, but it quickly became a calming routine. sorting the pieces of cloth while the early morning light streams in through the blinds of the laundry room, casting a soft glow on shoto's delicate features. your fingers graze against each other slightly when you pass him the stain remover, causing his heart to flutter slightly at the touch. you have quiet conversations while folding everything up, the comforting warmth from the dryer seeping into your fingers.

from the moment you settled down in the 1-a dorms, there was a little flower bed on the side of the building that you had claimed as yours. for quite a while, shoto only watched you as you tended to your flowers, in awe of how at peace you seemed with the earth. when you finally invited him to join you, he immediately fell in love with the process. being able to dig his hands into the soil and be one with the plants while you talked him through the various ways you cared for them. now it's a routine as well, and every time you go to check on the flowers you bring shoto with you, together watching as your plants flourished and grew as you raised them together.

A person’s 16th birthday was always a big thing. In a world where superpowers are the norm and soulmates are a scientifically proven fact, the two most important times in a person’s life is when they receive their quirk and when they receive their soulmate.

Soulmates can be found through anything from sharing their pain to having their name explicitly written on your wrist. Though only about 50% of the world ever find their soulmate, and all pairings are different.

It had always been something you’d secretly dreamed of, zoning out in bed at night or a class you hated just to wonder what it would be like. Though it was a silly daydream to you, you also knew that just about everyone had also thought of similar things at least once in their life.

You looked around your classroom and at the people in it. You were one of the youngest of the class, so almost everyone had already gotten their soulmark and a few had even found their soulmate. You looked to Toru Hagakure and Mashirao Ojiro, the first of the class to find that they were soulmates.

You looked around to the other people in the class as you zoned out. Many of them had unnoticeable soulmarks or even ones they covered up. There was Katsuki Bakugo - one of the oldest of the class - with a handprint across his face that he was definitely insecure about. It fit his personality, though; after all, who wouldn’t want to slap him across the face?

Then the exact opposite was Shoto Todoroki, one of the younger of the class and so only got his recently, but whatever it was he kept it well hidden. He wasn’t the talkative type though, so even if you asked, you weren’t likely to get anything out of him.

Izuku Midoriya was pretty much his only friend, and Midoriya himself didn’t seem to know what his soulmark was, but after a long ramble had come to the conclusion that his soulmate wasn’t 16 yet. It wasn’t uncommon, some soulmarks didn’t show until both soulmates had turned 16, but there was definitely part of himself that thought he didn’t have a soulmate.

You looked back to Bakugo who was with Eijiro Kirishima, the boy who had mentioned on multiple occasions how he could only see the colour red. He supposedly would be able to see all colour once he locks eyes with his soulmate, a cute but simple one.

You wondered what yours would be, or if you’d ever find your soulmate. As one of the youngest of the class, it would be your 16th birthday tomorrow though, so you’d soon find out.

You were making a hefty lot of food as it was Shotos birthday. He had to get up early in a rush this morning due to an emergency so you couldn't even give him a nice breakfast, and now you were just hoping he would come back for dinner.

You've texted him asking when he would be home, but he hasn't replied yet. Knowing him, he would be back before by 10 as he now refused to continue working after that time, due to the fact he used to work non-stop until he passed out and couldn't work at all for the next three months. Unless an urgent matter comes up and he is needed wherever he is told to go he would, other than that, Shoto would let his sidekicks or the night/underground heroes handle the problem.

Hearing the door open and a stack of keys drop you quickly set the plates down and ran to the door. Seeing Shoto, you immediately jumped onto him

"Happy birthday baby!!"

"W-woah hey there"

Holding you tightly so you wouldn't fall he kisses you for a brief moment and chuckles at the sight of you, happy that you were energetic as ever despite him leaving you without any notice this morning.

"Go take a shower and change sweetie, let me set up the plates properly~"

After dinner was over, you washed up the plates and cleaned the table. Shoto on the other hand was picking out a movie for the both of you to watch, he decided to pick on a horror movie mainly because he just wanted you to cling on to him.

"Are you done setting up hon?"

"Mhm"

Switching off the lights and patting the spot next to him, you quickly sat down and got comfortable in the blankets. Cuddling up next to him, thankfully he didn't have to work tomorrow so he could stay up if he felt like it.

Stifling a laugh every time you got scared, he held you close letting you bury your face at the crook of his neck, hitting his chest lightly whining and complaining about how you weren't a big fan of horror. Saying if it weren't for his special day today he would be sleeping on the couch tonight.

He peppered your face with kisses of comfort enjoying the moment. He enjoyed this, he enjoyed you. Being able to call you his was something he didn't think he could do when he first met you at Shiketsu High for a training program

He still remembers you healing him after training and making sure he was back in good shape and health before sending him off to wherever he needed to be. Shoto would always come back and asked to be healed and bumped into you every now and then, whether it be simply just crossing the same road in the city or the both of you having to patrol together.

A simple smile from you and a ba-dump from his heart made him fall in love with you. A simple smile and a ba-dump were what made the both of you be here together today.

"Thank you for being here with me~"
