Sign Up Guidelines
The main method of communication for this project will be through email. This is how you will receive your assignment information with your recipient’s preferences, squicks and triggers, and favorites. If you have any concerns, feel free to reach out either via DMs, reblogs, or asks.
When signing up…
Please feel free to be as specific or as general as possible with your answers! For instance, if you wish to prioritize characters and ships, feel free to number them (i.e. “1. Ruby 2. Weiss” or “1. Ruby/Weiss 2. Yang/Blake”), but it is not a requirement. The goal is to give your giftee enough information to create something you will enjoy, while leaving some room for them to be creative and put their own spin on it!
When coming up with prompts…
Try your best to provide a variety! You can stick with just a setting, such as “Beacon Days” or “Atlas Ball,” you can provide a scene set up, such as “Yang and Ruby having sister bonding time” or “Team STRQ getting into shenanigans,” or you can even provide an AU idea, such as “Role Swap AU” or “Nothing Bad Ever Happened AU.” You can even provide your own AU if you’d like! If you decide to do that, try to provide at least one or two non-AU options, just in case.
When creating…
The focus of your fic must be at least one character or ship from the recipient’s list! If they prioritized, try your best to use their number one as the focus!
Avoid all squicks and triggers, respect your recipient’s boundaries, and make sure you consider their favorite tags, categories, and tropes when creating your piece. Try to use at least one of their prompts as a jumping off point, too!
If you get stuck…
You can always always always reach out if you have any questions or just need some help brainstorming. You can DM, reply to the assignment email, or send an ask (especially if you wish to remain anonymous).
Try to keep your identity a secret!!!
But if you want to learn more about your recipient (for instance, if they used their own AU as a prompt and you need more information on it), feel free to send them an anonymous ask here on Tumblr or reach out to me! I’d be happy to send an anonymous message on your behalf.
Even if you don’t have questions, reach out and talk to your recipient (anonymously) as you work on their piece! Offer encouragement, ask them questions, and just spread general excitement and love for the show!
Any other questions? Feel free to contact me before filling out the sign up form.

An In-Depth Analysis of the Interpersonal Relationships of Team STRQ (and why Rosebird is DEFINITELY a thing)
So I’d like to do something of an analysis on the interpersonal relationships of Team STRQ. More specifically, analyzing Qrow’s, Taiyang’s, and Raven’s respective relationships with Summer, based on what the show has directly told, and shown us.
Tumblr media
Starting with Qrow, as I think this analysis is the most straightforward. Now to get one thing out of the way, I think we can definitively say at this point that Qrow is NOT RUBY’S SECRET DAD. Beyond CRWBY thoroughly debunking the theory at this point, nothing we’ve seen or heard really paints Qrow as having been in any kind of romantic relationship with Summer. Or at least any that would supersede any romantic relationship with Raven and/or Tai in some ‘Poly-STRQ’ scenario.
Tumblr media
To begin with what we’ve heard of Qrow’s relationship with Summer, we’ve actually heard quite a bit, relatively speaking. In terms of dialogue, we’ve heard more about Summer from Qrow than either Tai or Raven, which is helpful in getting a sense of what their relationship may have been like. From his conversations with Ruby in Volumes 3 and 7, we can say that Qrow views Summer with both admiration (“She was always the best of us…”) and fondness and affection (“Bit of a brat though. But hey, I like brats.”). But the detail I find most telling is the ease that Qrow has in talking about Summer, particularly in Volume 7. When Ruby asks him about Summer and her ‘last mission’, Qrow isn’t hesitant or all that uncomfortable with talking about his teammate. Which gives the impression that Qrow has actually coped with Summer’s (apparent) death fairly well.
Tumblr media
Which in turn is notable because THE go-to narrative method of hinting that a character was romantically involved or had feelings for another character long missing/dead is to show them being clearly uncomfortable TALKING about that other character (something we’ll be revisiting in a little bit…). Something we don’t see from Qrow when he talks about Summer.
Tumblr media
It’s also notable that while Qrow, along with almost all the other adults in the show, was something of an unreliable narrator in the early volumes, his talk with Ruby about Summer happened AFTER Volume 6 when Qrow opted to finally start being open with and trusting of his niece and protégé. Meaning that I think we can trust that Qrow is being genuine in his talk with Ruby in Volume 7.
And in terms of what the show has so far directly shown us about Qrow’s relationship with Summer, the answer is notably: Nothing. Because unlike Tai and Raven, Qrow was absent from the big important flashback giving us our first look at Summer. Which combined with what we’ve heard from Qrow, tells me that the narrative of RWBY considers Summer’s relationship with Qrow to be less dramatically important/significant than her relationships with Tai or Raven.
Moving on to Taiyang, what’s interesting is that Tai’s relationship with Summer is kind of in the inverse situation of what we see with Qrow’s. In that with Qrow we’ve heard some but seen nothing, with Tai we’ve seen some but heard almost nothing.
I mean, consider for a moment that prior to the tenth episode of the NINTH volume of the series, EVERYTHING we knew about Taiyang’s relationship with Summer Rose came to us second-hand from Yang in ONE conversation with Blake back in Volume Two! I’ve spoken before in other posts that if feels quite curious that while the overlying text of the story claims that Summer’s relationship with Tai should be very important, given that they are supposed to be Ruby’s PARENTS, yet we have heard effectively NOTHING about it. Other than a simple claim that ‘it existed’. I mean, forget how we’ve heard more about Summer from Qrow than we have from Tai; we’ve heard more about Summer from RAVEN than we have from Tai (more on THAT in a little bit XD)
Tumblr media
Now of course, unlike with Qrow, as of the finale of Volume 9, we have actually SEEN a look at Tai’s relationship with Summer. Albeit a brief look, but enough to get something of a sense of it. What I find interesting is that despite this being our first look at Summer’s relationship with Tai, this scene/vision doesn’t really tell us, or Ruby, anything she/we didn’t already know about these two. That Summer and Tai were really close… and that’s pretty much it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And what I find even more interesting is a curious amount of ambiguity towards the nature of Summer’s and Tai’s relationship in this scene. Despite the text of the show claiming that these two were lovers, this scene is notably lacking the kind of overt romantic gestures we might expect, such as a kiss or long held gaze. Yes, Summer and Tai have a very close hug, but let’s not forget that RWBY has used close, intimate hugs like this as a gesture of platonic or familial love/affection just as much if not MORE times than as a gesture of romantic love. Just look at Ren’s hugs with Jaune, or Jaune’s hug with Ruby, or even that time Ironwood hugged Qrow. Simply put, I don’t think that hug tells us nearly as much about Summer’s and Tai’s relationship as people might think.
Finally, we come to Raven. And funny enough, unlike Qrow and Tai, I would argue that we have both heard AND seen QUITE a bit about Summer’s relationship with Raven.
Tumblr media
When it comes to what we’ve heard, it’s not just what we have heard from Raven about Summer that’s important, but what we HAVEN’T heard as well. Across Volumes 4 and 5, we see Raven all too happy to mock, criticize and generally smack-talk just about everyone from her old life, from Ozpin, Qrow, Taiyang and even Yang.
But not Summer.
For some reason, Raven NEVER has anything bad to say about SUMMER.
Tumblr media
And the ONE time Raven does mention Summer, it is during a talk with Ruby, Summer’s daughter. Not only that, but rather than criticizing or mocking Summer’s memory, Raven’s line of “You sound like your mother,” is at worst neutral and might even have an undercurrent of respect.
Tumblr media
Finally, Raven’s tone and demeanor when she says this line come off as very guarded and restrained. Combined with how she never mentions her outside of this scene, one thing becomes quite clear:
Raven does not like to talk about Summer.
Remember what I said back in the Qrow section about characters having difficulty/resistance to talking about another long-missing/dead character as an easy way to hint at a prior romance or romantic feelings?
Yeah, this is EXACTLY what I was talking about.
And then we come to the flashback/vision in Volume 9’s finale. The scene which, while also brief, showed us a LOT about Summer’s relationship with Raven.
Whereas Summer’s scene with Tai merely showed us things we already knew from Yang, her scene with Raven is a MAJOR reveal that establishes a whole new dynamic that both Ruby, and much of the audience had NO idea about.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That Summer and Raven were actually quite a bit closer than anyone ever realized. That Summer apparently trusted Raven more than ANYONE else to help on her secret mission while also having apparently taken Raven leaving Yang, Ruby and herself rather personally. And that Raven herself was actually quite a bit more upbeat and joking around Summer than we see her in the present, while also specifically showing a joking, awkward and even bashful side around Summer that has a lot of curious similarities to how Yang has acted around BLAKE.
And when we take this scene in conjunction with what we see of Raven in the present, a surprisingly consistent and complete picture emerges of Raven’s relationship with Summer.
In Volume 5, Yang notes that Raven is different from the woman she heard about from Tai and Qrow. Introducing the question that something changed Raven from the driven, determined and loyal woman Qrow and Tai knew to the bitter, angry and fearful woman we see at present. Well now we know almost for certain WHAT that something was:
Tumblr media
Raven lost SUMMER.
Taking these two elements together, we can see that Raven CARED about Summer. Cared about her so much that loosing Summer almost certainly BROKE Raven. Whatever happened during that mission turned Raven from this…
Tumblr media
…to this.
Tumblr media
We also know that Summer encountered Salem during her last mission, and whatever happened during that encounter seems to have inspired Salem to begin her grimm-hybridization experiments. And now that we know that Raven was with Summer on that mission, it becomes pretty easy to guess why Raven is so convinced Salem cannot be killed, and is so utterly TERRIFIED at the prospect of facing her again:
Tumblr media
Because Salem took Summer away from her.
Raven’s refusal to smack-talk Summer and the great difficulty she has in even mentioning her, Raven’s utter terror of the woman who did SOMETHING to Summer, that we now know Raven was almost certainly present to witness, and Raven being both quite friendly and awkward and willing to help Summer with her secret mission in the past.
All of it adds up to Raven having cared about Summer a GREAT deal. Likely cared about her the most out of her teammates. Given how she’s clearly taken Summer’s loss far harder than Qrow or Tai.
And when we add in Summer’s clear trust in Raven, that she trusted Raven above anyone else to help in her secret mission and even her clear resentment of Raven leaving Yang, Ruby and herself, we get a sense of just how close these were.
Summer and Raven were in all likelihood closer with each other than they were with anyone else. Sure, Summer certainly cared about Tai and Qrow, but it is Raven whom she TRUSTED above all others. And despite whatever caused Raven to leave her team, she still came back to help Summer with clearly no hesitation or reservation.
The funny thing is, with this scene we now know, or at least can reliably infer, more about Summer’s relationship with RAVEN, than we do about her relationships with either Qrow OR Tai.
And the thing is, this makes perfect sense when you consider the story arc going forward that this scene is almost certainly setting up:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That Raven is now THE pivotal figure in the mystery of what happened to Summer Rose. Because it is now clear to both the audience and to Ruby that Raven must KNOW what happened to Summer. Going forward, it is Raven whom Ruby and her team and family must pursue for the answers of what happened to Summer.
With this scene, the relationship between Raven and Summer just became THE most consequential among those of Team STRQ for the story going forward.
It’s one of the big reasons why Rosebird as a pairing just feels so fitting for these two. It’s why it suddenly makes sense we don’t hear all that much about Summer from Tai or Qrow, and why neither of them know what happened to her; because the story of who Summer was and WHAT happened to her isn’t theirs to tell.
That story is RAVEN’s. And of course, Summer herself once we find out she’s not actually dead.
And the crazy thing is, even Raven turning out to be Ruby’s father feels like a natural extension of this: The relationship between Summer and Raven is now established as this very significant and consequential element, and now Ruby will almost certainly be driven to seek Raven out for answers as to what happened to her mother.
(Note that I say RUBY specifically. Because while Yang will certainly be involved and invested in this search as well, it is ultimately Ruby and only Ruby who saw the vision. Thusly, SHE is the one ultimately driving this arc.)
Tumblr media
So we now have Ruby on a quest to find Raven to find out what happened to Summer. The young girl seeking out the older woman whom she bares a curious resemblance to in order to find out what happened to her mother, whom this other woman was actually quite close with.
The writers might not have confirmed or directly hinted at Raven being Ruby’s secret dad, but they sure as hell put us on a narrative path the could absolutely lead to such a reveal.

Your STRQ-Y fanart hurts me so bad , reminds me of a headcanon of mine that probably isn't true that Raven left because she saw how much better for Yang Summer was than she was
Glad you liked(hated) my art
I TOTALLY believe that’s at LEAST part of it 100% it fits in with the narrative pattern of Yang personally suffering because others are self destructive
Like say what you want about rwbys writing but thats always consistent
There’s a whole episode where she goes “hey don’t destroy yourself on purpose it actually fucks up everyone you care about more then it does anything else” and then tells a story that references At LEAST four people who did that and fucked up her life because of it (+Bby Ruby sleeping shes the mvp)
Also it fits with Raven characterization wise and all that and her CLEARLY loving people but just being really really bad at it
So it makes sense as a narrative pattern and also in character
I personally don’t think it was the only reason she probably had lore driven reasons
But yeah ravens definitely very never love an anchor by the crane wives
I think she loves and loved Yang a lot she’s shown checking up on her a lot as a child(not that she followed through with helping her but still it shows love)
Maybe she didn’t help her when everything fell apart because of how she herself was dealing with summers death, maybe she felt responsible and she didn’t want that to touch her family, maybe she saw Yang dealing with every other failure of a caretaker and didn’t want to add another disappointment, maybe she never even popped in because she didn’t want to pop in and out whenever it was convenient and destabilize yangs life even further, maybe she thought Yang was doing perfect as she was, maybe she thinks the suffering she was going through was good and made her stronger that children should go through that and that she was doing great
Who knows
Love to hear everyone’s thoughts on raven

Backstory: Jaune's parents were hunters and were friends with STRQ.
Because of this and Jaune being the most responsible out of his sibling, they made him take care about Ruby and Yang when they were working.
This made both sisters think that Jaune is their Cousin (and Tai and Jaune's father are brothers). Which was bad for Ruby because she developed massive crush for Jaune so she coudn't act upon it.
Years later and her crush only grew (to almost scary degree) along with Yang's teasing. They even went to beacon together, luckily when Jaune parents visited and heard her, they said that Arc's aren't related, they look alike just by coincidence.
This made Ruby happy, very happy, finally last chain holding back her horny were broken. Now is a time to fulify her (many dream)
Ruby to Jaune after telling discovering the truth:
You were never one of us. You were nothing but a fake, a false family. My eyes have been opened. Now. Let me show you, how much you mean to me, daddy
P.S I will not apologize for writing it
I will not ask for an apology for requesting it.
-------------------------------------------
"R-Ruby, calm down!" Jaune called to his younger cousin, only for his cry to fall on deaf ears.
"I'll calm down when I get what I want!" Ruby made a leap for him, but he scrambled to quickly out of the way. "There's no getting away, Jaune! I locked the door!"
"Yeah?" Jaune replied. "Well, I didn't lock the windows!"
There was a silence held between them.
"Huh?"
"It sounded cooler in my headed."
"See, this is why I love you so much."
"I love you, too, just..." Jaune made an uncomfortable face. "Just not that way, you know?"
"Well, I do love you that way!" Ruby proclaimed. "And nobody is going to stop us from being together forever!"
She jumped for him again, and again she missed as he clambered through the window. She took hold of his leg, desperately digging her claws into him. Jaune kicked away, scrambling to the roof. He popped Ruby right in her mouth, and she fell back with her hands over her lips.
"Ruby?" Jaune dared to look back through the window. "Ruby, are you okay?"
Ruby's eyes were red and puffy as hot tears streamed from her face. The sight reminded him of the time she scuffed her knee pretty bad while playing in the woods. With a sudden change to the rules, Ruby fell off a log and hurt her leg. Yang ran for help while she stayed on the ground, crying her eyes out at how much she hated the rule changes. She blamed her sister and her cousin for changing the rules. To repay her, he stayed by her side held her until Yang came back with one of the adults. Thankfully, there were no Grimm close by to notice the negativity.
But the emotion was much more charged here.
"I HATE YOU!" She screamed so loud, he was sure her voice was hoarse. She then sped out of the room, leaving Jaune sitting outside the window, dumbfounded.
As he climbed inside, Yang entered the room with a concerned look on her face. "What the heck's going on up here?"
Jaune gulped. Should he tell the truth and let Yang know what her sister tried to do? She could get into serious trouble for this, but this was also something that couldn't be treated as a slap on the wrist. Jaune took a long sigh.
"So, do you promise not to tell anybody?"

@kitestarry Thought I'd answer this comment in its own post. :)
Ghira and Kali are very much so stereotypical "Mom and Dad" characters imo, where Kali is kind of nosy and she's comforting and she's given that "no she can hit people with pans too" thing that people give Supermoms since like 2000 so they can say they're strong women without having to do any work, and Ghira is like overprotective and tells Blake she isn't wearing enough clothes and hates Sun because he's a boy who's interested in his daughter. And I don't like the stereotypical "Mom and Dad" characterization in any setting really, but since they're only featured in two seasons and are honestly not even sort of the focus of Blake's 4-5 arc (which is much more about her, Sun, and Ilia,) they're very paper thin characters I feel like. So there isn't much else to them. But on top of that, the RWBY writers do this thing where they'll make the teenage characters do dangerous stuff but do not care to write the "caring" parental figures in their life to actually do anything about it. Like, with Willow you can at least be like "well she's an alcoholic who had an abusive husband" which doesn't mean that her complete lack of presence until V7 and her lack of action in protecting her children is fine, but it makes more sense. And when then sixteen year old Ruby left home to go after Cinder and supposedly like a year later Tai still is completely not around, we could at least say "well, he knows she's with Qrow and he might not have known how serious everything was" which isn't a good excuse, but it's at least something. But, I believe Blake ran away from home five years before the start of the show, which means she was like twelve! And she ran away to be part of a group Ghira thought was dangerous and morally wrong (which is why he left in the first place.) Like, we don't know if Blake had a good place to stay for that whole time, if she ever went hungry, and the show fully tells us she was in a bad and unsafe relationship for part of it. And where were her parents? And then the Fall of Beacon happens after Blake is on TV during the Vytal Festival, and the whole thing just makes them feel like very uncaring bad parents. There's also Ghira's whole peaceful protest 'be nice to your oppressors and they might like you' 'we need to stop faunus violence' thing. Like many Faunus characters, Ghira's a mouthpiece for the severely badly handled fantasy racism plot. It's bad on Blake, but since she has a lot more character and role outside of that, it's easy enough to just clip it out for her for me. But because Ghira has been such a small role, it's a lot harder to dismiss for him. Like if you removed that sort of thing from Ghira's character, all that you'd have left is 'over-protective dad who doesn't care about finding his twelve year old runaway but will comment on her belly shirt when she comes home."
But also, I don't write for them to be honest. Writing for characters oftentimes makes me like them more because it helps me dive into the character concept more than the oftentimes lackluster execution. There are a lot of characters I didn't like that much, but then when I write for them, I find myself really enjoying them. But my sister and I first started writing for RWBY after volume six with a fanfiction that was an AU branch off starting at the end of V5. And the only fanfictions I've written either are branches off of that branch off or are Team STRQ era fics. So... Ghira and Kali aren't really part of things in my fics ever.
So yeah, it's a combination of them being thin stereotypical parents with very little interest to them, their apparent lack of care when their twelve year old ran away, and just never writing for them so they don't get the same treatment of me fleshing them out myself that other characters who are just as thin in canon might get that make me like them more.

Smth that really intrigues me abt Ozpin is how the HELL he became a professor or Headmaster at such a young age
Like. Canonically he's younger than Theodore, who's in his mid-late 40s (I'd wager early-mid 40s based on looks but still). So at the oldest, Ozpin is in his early 40s, maybe mid-late 30s at the youngest.
So like. He's around the same age as STRQ?? Meaning he likely got his Huntsman license, at the youngest, at 17 years old and likely became a professor and then HEADMASTER not long after that.
It's repeatedly said that Ozpin was a child prodigy (something he actually shares with Pyrrha, an interesting parallel). And honestly I just... who got him into that position?? I HIGHLY doubt that the previous Oz had something set in place for the next Oz to get into such a powerful position, bc pressuring such a young teenager is not something that's in their character (unless the KoV specifically was like that, but we don't know anything abt him).
I doubt Ozpin, as a KID who wasn't even finished with the merge yet, wanted to be Headmaster (he stated repeatedly he was in Oscars place; scared, confused, and not wanting the responsibility that comes with the merge).
Maybe there were descendants of the King of Vales own inner circle that got Ozpin into that position? If so, that's pretty fucked up ngl.
Honestly, the more you think about Ozpin, the sadder he gets. I am DESPERATE for a side show or even a freaking book about him and STRQ. He has so so many parallels with Ruby and Pyrrha. He's such a compelling character I swear

Note
you most likely talked about this, but given that in Beacon, teams are also separated into duos of partners (ruby&weiss, blake&yang), who do you think got partnered up in STRQ? (assuming that this buddy system was already in place during STRQ days)
i know i'm going against the tide with this one, but: summer & taiyang, raven & qrow. for few reasons.
one: the boy meets the warrior in a forest, and says he fell for her the moment he saw her silver eyes <- this is a story tai relates to, and eye contact is beacon's manner of forming partnerships.
two: as fun as all the "qrow's semblance gets in the way of him partnering with raven" scenarios are, i really don't think there's anything that would get in the way if raven wanted to partner with qrow (which i think she would) + qrow, who thinks his semblance makes it difficult to be near his family, would likely see partnering with raven more as a bad luck than he would partnering with some stranger.
and three, and this is what it really comes down, for me: i really do think the emotional core within strq is summer reuniting with tai, and raven reuniting with qrow. like the twins smiling at each other in the epilogue? that's the emotional goodness right there after everything they've been through; the disagreements, the fights, "we're not family anymore"s, learning the truth, finally reaching some sort of an understanding, to standing side-by-side once again.
and while there's less for summer and tai, they still included that scene in the flashback. they could have had summer sneak out with tai none the wiser, but they didn't; instead, summer promised she'd be back soon, and tai answers with a resolute "i know" (and he's still waiting, hoping against hope for her to return) ("no, come back!" <- when ruby's message gets cut short at the worst possible moment, tai's reliving the past right there).
idk really how to explain it, but there's this general feeling too that's like... if i had to split strq in two halves, summer & tai / raven & qrow makes the most sense to me. like, that's where the story is, not to say there isn't any story between anyone else, but especially qrow is like. who else do you partner him with? he doesn't really have anything to do with summer or tai emotionally story-wise, so if partnership is meant to be this Special Bond between two people, with what the show has presented us with, that really just leaves raven.
then there's also the fact that summer & tai went on oh-gods-another-patrol missions ("i think he misses adventuring with you." t. ruby rose) while raven & qrow went on spy missions (probably not on same ones, but i bet they still communicated what they were up to bc that's what intelligence gathering kind of requires). would ozpin separate partners like that? who knows. maybe? would be kind of rude though lmao
...it also makes the naming convention of RW | BY and ST | RQ the same, which doesn't necessarily prove anything, rather it's just a neat little bonus on top :)
(this got longer than i thought lol apologies for rambling OTL)

Emergency Commission 1: Swinging Fun
Meeting each other while out and about on dates, the pairs of Taiyang and Weiss decide to sit and chat with Qrow and Nora. However, Nora's ability to wind Weiss up, as well as her own desire for a certain kink to try, lead to things that Weiss had never thought of...
“-and that’s how Qrow got the nickname “Bad Harvest”.” a blonde man with short, messy hair and a soul patch said to two young women as they sat at a table, with the man in question, his friend and teammate from Team STRQ, groaning and burning his face in his hands as both of their dates giggled merrily. He was Taiyang Xiao Long, father to Yang Xiao Long and Ruby Rose, and the black haired and red eyed man was Qrow Branwen, Yang and Ruby’s uncle and his oldest friend.
Their dates? Weiss Schnee, who was wearing a silky dress that both clung to her form enough to entice, but hid enough that no one could say that she was a slut. She was cuddled up against Taiyang’s side, looking incredibly content as she occasionally sipped her wine.
Nora Valkyrie, on the other hand, Qrow’s date, was dressed purely to entice. Not enough to be breaking decency laws, but everything she wore was tight to her body, showing off her bountiful curves…as well as the fact that she despised bras, the bumps of her nipples pushing against her tank top. She was leaning against her own date, though she was sandwiching one of his arms between her bust.
“So Nora…how did you meet Qrow?” Taiyang asked, as he allowed Weiss to cuddle against him and enjoy his body heat and scent, while Qrow shook his head ruefully, a small smile on his lips.
“Oh, I saw him walking around and thought, ‘He looks like he needs a nice cuddly woman to help fuck away his sorrows~’!” Nora chirped, watching Weiss choke on her wine, coughing softly as she heard Nora’s words, the ginger haired girl grinning at her. “How about you, Weiss? I’m pretty sure you met Taiyang when Ruby insisted you to go to her house?”
Weiss gave Nora a glare, though her cheeks were flushed as she remembered how her heart had skipped several beats when she had first seen Ruby and Yang’s father, and how her panties had become moist the more that she had spent time with him, culminating in her losing herself and kissing him within the first month of knowing him…and it wasn’t long after that she had given him her virginity. But she wasn’t going to tell Nora that. She settled for narrowed eyes and a firm nod.
Nora however, was like a dog with a bone, and leapt onto her. “How’s your sex life, Weiss~?” she asked playfully. “As cold in bed as you are with the others?” she teased, making Weiss shake in place, even as Taiyang rubbed her arm gently.
Nora grinned as Weiss took the bait, leaning across the table and hissed, “I’ll have you know that there’s no night when I’m with him that our bed is cold!” before she realized what she said, freezing in place and her cheeks going red enough to rival the color of the wine in her glass.
Taiyang chuckled, leaning over and kissing his mortified date’s brow, knowing that she was embarrassed about intimacy, though she was getting far better about it. He gave Nora a look. “I have no complaints at all about our bedroom life; Weiss is perfectly willing to try new things.” he smirked. “What about you? I’m sure Qrow has to be dead boring in bed~” he ignored the faux enraged look his old friend sent him.
Nora’s look of annoyance was in no way faked, however. “Hell no!” she exclaimed eagerly, thrusting her chest out, showing just how thin her top was, the pink of her nipples darker than that of her shirt, before she grinned proudly, “There’s not a day that goes by that my ‘daddy’ doesn’t make me choke on his cock and gargle his cum!”
Weiss stared in shock at her friend, small sounds reminiscent of a seal barking escaping her mouth from the shock of Nora’s statement alone, and how proud she was saying it. Out loud. In public. Without any sort of shame whatsoever.
However, Nora took it further, knowing just how to wind the heiress up. “I bet you never sucked on your daddy’s dick, am I right? Drained him of his stress, and his yummy cum?” she cuddled up against Qrow and looked up at him hungrily, “Daddy~” she purred, “What do you think~?”
Weiss tilted her head and squinted, wondering what she was asking without really wanting to know, only to squeak as Taiyang’s arm tightened around her. Glancing up, she swallowed ard as she saw him looking down at her hungrily, raising his hand up. “Check, please!” he called, looking back at her with a hunger she couldn’t deny…
…just as she couldn’t deny the wetness in her designer lingerie.
~
Weiss whined into the mouth smothering her own, shuddering as skilled hands roamed her body, plucking at her bare nipples, pinching and gently twisting the sensitive tips.
Next to her, she heard Nora’s own passionate sounds, so much louder than her own, even as their partners played with their bodies masterfully.
“Ah~! Q-Qrow~!”
“Taaaaaiiii~!!!”
“Heh, they’re really responsive, aren’t they, Qrow?” Taiyang hummed, playing with the breasts of his lover, loving the whimpers that spilled from her lips as she clenched down around his cock.
Breaking the kiss that he had been performing, Qrow grinned down at a flushed and highly embarrassed Weiss who stared up at him.
The group of four had come to a hotel in Vale for the night, getting a room with two beds, and had ended up doing what Nora had teased while they were at dinner; switch partners.
Weiss had been a little hesitant, but she trusted Tai, and knew that neither he nor Nora would intentionally let her be hurt. And when Qrow had started to play with her…well, as Ruby often teased, “The Ice Queen Melted”.
Here they were, all in their most base undergarments. She and Nora in soaked knickers (though Nora’s were tugged to the side and Tai’s cock was poking through his own underwear), and Tai and Qrow in bulging boxers, the rest of their clothing scattered around the room.
Not too long after, the undergarments were gone, and skin touched skin. Positions changed, Weiss squeaking as she was rolled onto her front, her bubble butt pulled up and swallowing as she felt Qrow’s shaft (not as long as Tai’s, but definitely thicker) nestle in the cleft of her ass cheeks, shuddering as it slowly moved down and prodded against her admittedly soaked core, nudging her lips apart as his tip slipped into her.
Weiss mewled as more and more cock was shoved into her, even as her body was pressed firmly into the mattress, Qrow’s hand coming around to grasp at her neck, his hips beginning to move as he started pumping into her, the white haired girl attempting to muffle her sounds of pleasure into the pillow beneath her, even as her legs kicked up behind her and her toes curled as Qrow’s hips slammed against her ass over and over.
“AH! YES! FUCK! FUCK! TAI! TAI! TAI! TAAAAAIIIIIII~♥!!!” Nora had no such compunctions, practically howling as she bounced on Taiyang’s cock, her fat tits bouncing lewdly, her pussy gushing and clenching around the blonde man’s shaft as he spanked her ass, turning the pale flesh bright pink as she bounced on his lap, screaming in pleasure as she bounced steadily on top of him.
Weiss’s eyes rolled up in her head as she was fucked steadily and firmly, biting the pillow delicately as Qrow’s hips slammed onto her buttocks, the sting heightening the pleasure of his cock slamming into her stretched core as her legs kicked into the air, her lower body moving on instinct.
Qrow growled as he felt Weiss’s little tight little pussy squeezing his cock tightly, his hand gently pressing down around her throat with every flex she made, not enough to hurt, but he knew that the slightest bit of missing oxygen only heightened pleasure. However, he didn’t know how much that she liked…Nora enjoyed it to the point she nearly blacked out. And it appeared that Weiss liked it too, with how tight she was clamping down around his shaft, about to send him over the edge!
Taiyang growled as Nora bounced like a well-trained slut on top of his lap, crying his name out to the entire floor (he was pretty sure that they’d get noise complaints tomorrow…) and clenching down hard with every drop onto his cock, every slap to her jiggling ass. He was sure she was in constant orgasm simply from his cock being inside her!
All four cried out as Qrow and Taiyang erupted, spraying their cum into the eager, receptive wombs of their lovers for the night.
The room was filled with panting and gasping for air as they all wound down from the frantic act that they had just finished, each of them recovering their energy for the second round.
After all, the night was young, and even if none of them said anything at the moment, they all knew that they would be doing this again.

Tai: Hey, Rae, Something on your mind?
Raven: Yes. You've been very little other than forgiving and kind. Despite everything I've done, how much I've Hurt you and Your girls, you've forgiven me. Why?
Tai: Well, I haven't forgiven you. I'm still angry about what you've done, and how badly you hurt my family, and jsut about everything you've done ...
Tai: But, there's enough hate in the world. I can either get angry over something that happened when we were different people, or I can give you a chance to show that you have changed. Not because you deserve it, but because ... I think I deserve it.
Tai: If I can let that last little bit of anger go, if the wound you left me with can finally scar over, instead of just be patched up? Then it'll be worth it. And, maybe, you can. I dunno. Prove that you're worthy of being a Member of team STRQ.
Raven: ... Thank you Tai. You do deserve it. I do need to help heal and repair what I've hurt and broke. That's why Ruby and Yang are as strong as they are. They had you and Summer.
Tai: Yeah, but for a while, None of us were strong without you. But I think, Even with as strong as any of us are alone, We're all stronger together.
Raven: *Raven Smiles. It's small and Soft, nearly imperceptible, but you don't fall in love with her without being able to find it.*
???: *KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK* OPEN THIS DOOR PLEASE!
Raven: Who's there?
???: Oh Of course the key's still tucked up under the awning-
Summer: *Slams the Door open* YOU MAKING MOVES ON MY MAN BRANWEN!

So in comics there's definitely been and are characters that everyone just agrees that they have to die.
And stay dead.
Think of Thomas and Martha Wayne, Uncle Ben etc.
Now these have changed from what they were initially
After Death in the Family, Jason Todd was supposed to stay dead.
And he did, for 17 years before coming back as the Red Hood.
Like there was a fake out in Batman: Hush that it was Jason and it was wild.
Bucky Barnes, also meant to stay dead and did so for 37 years.
... 37?!
Before becoming the Winter Soilder.
And these aren't in universe years, this is real world time.
Now it's hard to imagine them not wandering about.
So I'm trying to think what 3 characters I think should stay dead.
At least for the forcible future.
And who's dead that should be bought back.
.
Staying dead: Jason Grace (Percy Jackson: Heroes of Olympus.)
Yeah... I know.
I love him I'm still holding out hope he will return but I don't think it's coming.
I say think because... Leo.
Jason Grace is the perfect example of, I followed the rules, I did everything I was supposed to and I still lost everything.
He's the perfect soilder, the paragon of heroism and he fell sacrificing himself to save his friends.
I think it's best if Jason stays dead because his death is used to show the fragility of human life.
Of the harrowing lives demigods lead.
His final words are punctuated by him staring at Lester, Apollo in his eyes as he's stabbed.
And telling him to remember.
Remember what you saw, remember the way my life drained from eyes.
Remember this day, and know I'm not the first nor the last.
It's such a powerful moment.
Especially because Apollo gets to know Jason and is hit throughout the book that Jason is so young.
That he's just a kid.... that they all are.
Demigods aren't promised happy endings.
Most don't live to be adults, and it's perfectly and tragically shown perfectly through Jason's death.
He just got the life he wanted, found out Leo's alive... And than in a moment it was all gone.
Also, for Jason who's served 14 years at 16, he deserves to rest a while.
.
Coming back to life: Summer Rose (RWBY)
Didnt see that coming, I was very much on the "Oh my gosh can we not... Can she just stay dead" train.
Now look at me.
To be fair we know more than we did than and I am really interested to know what happened to Summer.
What happened to STRQ in general to be honest. The tragic death that no one speaks of.
Who's events seem to be only known by Summer herself.
And with the rise of Grimm like the Hound, a beast made of both grimm and silver eyed warriors.
With the note from Ruby and Yang that Summer could have been the turning point.
From Salem killing silver eyed warriors to capturing them.
Given Salem was trying to kill Maria when she was young, now am old lady. And has only ever tried to capture Ruby.
That and Grimm Summer is just the concept ever, I wanna see Summer Rose the paragon of being a huntress be an underling for Salem.
Especially if she's not as reluctant of a follower as we may believe.
.
Staying dead: Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa)
Junko is that werid one of I want her to stay dead but like keep her memory alive.
Because it makes sense too, woman caused the apocalypse.
And if we're still operating in that universe it makes sense she'd be bought up, especially after the fact.
But I don't think Junko herself should be bought back.
I get why they did it in Danganronpa 2 because it made sense.
But after, I don't think Junko needs to keep being our main bad guy.
I think exploring the word, her followers and hell people have nothing to do with her would be a lot of fun.
If they do bring her back I'm not gonna be mad, just think hey if we can have multiple protags it'd be fun to have multiple villians too.
She can't carry all of this on her own.
If they do bring her back, kinda defeats the purpose of her death.
Of why it meant so much to her, why she had to lose to Makoto the ultimate hope and her own class.
She lost but she also won.
It's such a huge thing and to bring her back and than kill her later it really deminishes the impact her death had.
... That and...She'd need a whole new body because who knows what happened to her corpse.
.
Coming back to life: Matsuda Yasuke (Danganronpa)
Speaking of followers of Junko I'd like to see.
We know little about Matsuda, given he's only appeared in Danganronpa Zero.
I think him being around would be really interesting especially in a world where Junko stays dead.
Because Matsuda is that complex thing of being someone infatuated and in love with Junko.
He was her childhood friend and boyfriend after all.
But also someone who wants her to change.
He created a version of her devoid of despair and he'd be happy to keep her that way.
Which is a unique perspective because most Junko followers think she's the most perfect thing ever.
And I think having that perspective would make for an interesting story.
Because no one really sees Junko as a fully realised person, not even Mukuro her own sister.
Also even aside from Junko, Matsuda also plays a huge role in the killing game's.
He's the one responsible for the memory wipes.
Being the Ultimate Neurologist.
I personally would love to see the memory stuff explored given it was always second to the killing games.
I get why but it's so cool and not something we talk enough about. Wonder if he was scouted by Hope's Peak not just for having a talent but for it's usages.
Say... The Kamakura project 👀.
I dunno but I think Junko's boy toy deserves some time in the spotlight.
.
Staying dead: The Grabber (The Black Phone)
His death was not only deserved.
It was fucking satisfying.
Watching Finney use everything the other boys gave him to beat that fucker.
That has kept him hostage, killed several others and is now getting his just deserts.
Was glorious.
... And I'm well aware that there's a sequel coming.
And I'm just hoping he stays dead.
Because not only do the ghost boys, Finney and Gwenny deserve to rest.
The Grabbers death was just perfectly set up and delivered so brutally.
That him being alive and returning to die later kinda ruins the ending.
Because it's Finney's fight to freedom.
I mean if that's the way they go with it, I can't say I'm not intrigued but yeah... Not in a rush to see him again.
Would much rather see someone else wear that mask.
.
Coming back to life: Sammy Emily (Five nights at Freddy’s)
The fact everyone dies and comes back to life in this series.
But not Sammy is a crime.
I'm sorry but the story about the mysterious twin brother of the girl who becomes the puppet.
Is something I wanna see.
I know he's only been mentioned vaguely in the Silver Eyes books.
But that's only more reason.
Just Sammy who's thought be dead for years raised by his mother and having an unexplainable connection to Freddys.
I mean tons of kids in the Fazbear Frights books have been drawn or compelled to go to Freddys.
His would make the most sense.
Maybe Williams after him?
Maybe it's Charlie in the Pizzaplex recognising and calling out to him.
Maybe he's the new night guard at the place trying to figure out what happened here... And why it feels familiar.
Maybe he knows about Freddy’s but he knows Charlie was taken and killed.
A parallel to Charlie thinking it was him in the original books.
Maybe he's out for revenge or just trying to find his missing sister.
There's so many possibilities.
I'm just saying if we can get a book about Sea Bonnie's we can get a Sammy Emily story.
.
Well that's my list.
Feel free to add your own, I'm curious.

was rewatching a random rwby fight as is my habit, in this instance it was the cordovin mech fight and i Noticed something. when qrow switches his weapon from sword to scythe mode they put emphasis on the gears inside of it; the weapon this instantly made me think of was The Long Memory. (qrow also does more shapeshifting in this fight than I think we see in like, any other scene in the series). this makes me think that qrow didn't have his own custom weapon until after he started at beacon (makes sense, if he and Raven went in Jaune style) and probably not even until after STRQ got the RWBY treatment. thoughts? (also worth noting that Raven's weapon at present isn't unique to her at all, really; it's not custom designed or irreplaceable, her swords are meant to be broken. did she also have a beacon-era weapon, and if so, i wonder if it's sitting in a closet somewhere... and if it's got those same gears in it somehow) i find weapon design very interesting and even more so after V9 literally used weapons as representations of people's lives, souls, etc.
yknow something that's always kind of in the back of my mind is that the floral pattern on long memory's handle is echoed in due process and sundered rose, and as you note harbinger has the gears:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
but stalwart doesn't have any such influence. nor does omen. both weapons belonging to characters who broke away from ozpin a long time ago:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
glynda's weapon also does not have a perceptible influence from long memory, primarily because it's Literally Just A Riding Crop that she is using to focus her semblance but also narratively—ok like. think about this.
the first three—ironwood, qrow, summer—all of them were very close to ozpin, all of them trusted him and looked up to him enough to take aesthetic (& in qrow's case, mechanical) inspiration from long memory. and all of them became disillusioned with him and turned their backs on him in some way. summer left. qrow lashes out after learning the truth. ironwood ultimately rejects what ozpin stands for. they had ozpin on a pedestal that eventually, inevitably, broke.
lionheart has been spying for salem for a long time; raven "tried to leave" before summer vanished and then actually left afterwards. we know that raven, at least, never quite trusted ozpin in the first place, and we can infer that lionheart didn't trust ozpin enough to turn to him for help when salem first approached him. was there ever a pedestal to shatter? did they ever believe in him the same way ironwood, qrow, and summer did?
we've not seen taiyang's weapon yet, but he's not left his cabin in the woods since the fall of beacon as far as we know and even twelve years ago he did not seem to think very highly of ozpin. i think it could go either way, but i bet he's in the stalwart/omen camp.
theodore's gloves might also go either way—it doesn't sound like they have the floral pattern or filigree as described in the CFVY novel, but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't be there in the show—but based on his conduct in before the dawn i think he's probably in the due process/sundered rose/harbinger camp.
and then... there's glynda, who trusted and respected ozpin but also never really comes across as subordinate to him in the way that ironwood or qrow did during the beacon arc (or qrow after). not in the sense that she didn't work for him or wasn't willing to follow his lead, but their working relationship at beacon very much comes across as an equitable partnership, notwithstanding the information he's hiding. and since the fall of beacon, she's remained in vale, working tirelessly to put the kingdom back together and fighting to reclaim the school. there's no trace of long memory on her weapon, but her emblem is a crown. you know, like the relic of choice.
glynda might be the one member of his inner circle who was there because she believed in his ideals rather than because she believed in him, and that's why she's the one who hasn't collapsed without him.

More on Qrow… He seriously lost like, basically the only thing that matters to him around now. Because, STRQ is fucking broke, he’s not a teacher anymore, etc… Why is he so chill with that. I mean, I know he had that moment of panic in v8 but.. This show takes too many chances to go “This happened off screen 😁”
It just waters down how much Ruby and Yang matter to him, of course he has the other kids but THOSE WERE HIS NIECES? He had a whole ass job to look after them, especially Ruby because look at from where we came from, v4 and everything.
He should be at rock bottom. Hell, he should be below rock bottom. Angry or vengeful or depressed and despondent, something. Remember how distraught he was at the end of V8? Desperation in his eyes, his voice breaking?
Tumblr media
None of that carried over. Instead he's this...this neutral, almost happy person, and I don't recognize him.
Tumblr media
It's like when Adam appeared in V6 and was just a crazy ex. It's got different connotations and implications, of course, but to me it's the same level of character discontinuity. I'm looking at epilogue Qrow and going, "Who are you?"

Having seen some discussion and gotten a few direct asks on the topic recently, I thought I’d do a dedicated post on an aspect of the Rosebird Parents Theory that I’ve touched on in other posts but have yet to address directly.
If Raven is secretly Ruby’s birth-‘father’/other mother, why have Qrow and Tai keep that a secret from her and Yang all this time? More specifically, if they apparently told Yang that Raven is HER birth-mother after Summer vanished, why did they not do the same for Ruby?
Now to get the simplest explanation out of the way first, it’s possible that Tai and Qrow simply don’t know themselves that Raven is Ruby’s birth-father. Of course I will freely admit that this is a rather dubious proposition and has to assume Tai and Qrow being rather slow on the uptake, and becomes especially dubious if Summer and Tai were actually in a close but ultimately platonic relationship. Though rather amusingly, this possibility gets a bit more plausible with the Poly-STR or even Poly-STRQ relationship that some have proposed. Specifically, if Summer already had a history of sleeping with Qrow, Tai AND Raven, it could leave her the option of being more vague and ambiguous as to WHO actually got her pregnant. Though again, I kinda doubt go this route.
Now with that out of the way, let’s discuss what I feel is the more likely option: That Qrow and Tai (and probably Raven as well) KNOW that Raven is Ruby’s birth-father and have been keeping that information under wraps this whole time.
First off; if Tai and/or Qrow told Yang that Raven is her birth-mother after Summer disappeared, why would they not also tell Ruby that Raven is her birth-father too?
Well, what if Tai didn’t MEAN to tell Yang about Raven, but rather let that information slip in the midst of his grieving? Note that Yang doesn’t specify that Tai (or Qrow) told her about Raven, only that she ‘found out’. If Yang only found out about Raven being her birth-mother because Tai let that info slip by accident or Yang found it out herself through some other means, then Tai and Qrow would have no reason to let Ruby know about Raven being her birth-father as well.
As to why Qrow and Tai would continue to keep Raven being Ruby’s father a secret? Well, because it’s pretty clear, certainly in the early parts of the show, that Qrow and Tai do NOT trust Raven, and generally consider her to be potentially dangerous to Yang and Ruby. Remember how in Volume 3 we learn that despite Yang having been looking for any information she can on Raven for years at the point, it turns out that Qrow has been in occasional contact with his sister this whole time and even has a pretty good idea where she is. And NEVER told Yang until she pressed him on the issue by revealing that Raven had stepped in to save her during the train breach.
It’s clear that Qrow and Tai have deliberately worked to keep Yang (and by extension, Ruby) away from Raven, at least while the girl were growing up. In that context, I’d say it makes PERFECT sense that they would keep Raven being Ruby’s birth-father under wraps too.
As to why they haven’t revealed this to Ruby in the present of the show? Well probably because it’s not exactly an EASY thing to reveal. I mean, what are you expecting? Tai to just sit down with Ruby sometime during the weeks she was recovering after the Fall and go ‘Oh, by the way, Yang’s mom is also your dad. Me and Qrow have been lying to you and Yang this whole time. Sorry about that.’
As for Qrow post-Volume 6 even when Ruby sits down with him and directly asks if he knows anything about what happened to Summer, I have to imagine Qrow’s decision to keep Ruby’s true parentage a secret would have been something along the lines of ‘this girl has got enough on her plate right now as it is. She doesn’t need THIS hot mess dropped in her lap too.’
And if you’re reading all this and thinking; “Wow, this isn’t very good parenting choices from Tai and Qrow,” well yeah, NO SHIT it isn’t. Need I remind you that one of RWBY’s main recurring themes is that of parents/mentors/leaders not trusting their kids with important/pertinent information being shown to be a BAD THING.
In that context, Qrow and Tai having kept the fact of Raven being Ruby’s birth-father under wraps this whole time fits PERFECTLY into the show’s themes and messages.

How do you explain Yang & Ruby not inquiring much about their parent's and uncle's past in team strq despite their eager desires to have the same profession and team rwby clearly repeating their history?
How do you explain Yang knowing little to nothing about her mother as a person despite that the latter's ex husband and twin-brother are right here?
I think Yang was more interested in the idea of her mother rather than in who she actually is.
She has built this idea of this estranged mother in her mind that at most works as a justification for why Yang feels the way she does more than anything.
I think even show has bits of that - Qrow offers his help in clearing up things about her mother in V3, but Yang never actually follows through with that offer. Because she would rather not.
One of the key moments so far for me in what I attempted to do is Yang realizing that she barely remembers her mother, if at all. If there were no photos of her, she would not even be able to recognize Raven in the street. Yang's understanding of her mother comes solely from the kind of an image she put together for herself rather than anything real. The person she had been searching for for so long doesn't really have any real tangible connections to her.
The first thing I had Yang do when getting dragged into Raven's mess is to attempt to leave on autopilot to search for Ruby. Because I think Yang is the exact type of person to attempt to pivot away from actual closure the moment answers are in front of her because she is so caught up with the possibilities.
Likewise, I don't think Ruby wants to know Summer Rose. She has a specific Summer Rose in her mind that she put together from bits and pieces of what she can remember and what she could find at home, but what Ruby Idolizes is Summer Rose The Hero, not Sumer Rose The Real Person That Existed.
I think its crucial that those two versions of Summer Rose wouldn't be the same. One of the things I am attempting to do is to highlight that other characters don't necessarily view Summer as a hero and instead view her as someone who was bit more complicated than that.
I think one of the missed opportunities with RWBY the show is that the show never had Yang and Ruby explore the differences between what they believe about their parents and what lives they actually led.
It's such an obvious next step after where V3 ends and where each character finds themselves in and in part I think big reason for that was the show's unwillingness to deliver ANY real answers about STRQ, but it should have been the logical next step.
