I’m about to ramble why I think Rei works better as a Bottom than Kazuki is. They might as well switch, but this post might not be going deeper on that. As well as to clarify this is from a shipper pov.

Many people dislike Bottom Rei just because He has a cold attitude and resemblances the stereotypical father figure. But also because they want to break the well-known: “shorter and slimmer grumpy guy” over-used BL troupe. I do understand that. However, at doing that, many other fall in the cliché of placing Kazuki as the bottom just because he enjoys doing activities stereotypically associated with women, such as cooking, cleaning or being fond of children. Which is, I think, a very sexist argument and I’m glad the writers are doing a great not, amazing job with this character. He is very comfortable with his colorful yet masculine style, which doesn’t only display on his outfits but also in his furniture choices (because yeah, at this point it’s canon he made almost all the decoration in Rei’s flat). But at the same time, has a feminine spot, because he literally choose almost all of Miri outfits and wow, they are very cute and stylish.

I don’t care if they themselves call him “The mom”, because is more like a joke about this specific topic, more like: “let’s make a male character that can break gender rolls without making him act or look girly, but adding many troupes that people will laugh about because they remind them a mother figure and many situations they themselves have gone through. Let’s just show the world that men doesn’t have to be pleased with helping the minimum in the house or when taking care of the children, where both parent should be doing equally.” Coming back to Rei, in my opinion him being the bottom might even deep the plot concerning his OFF and ON modes and all about the Suwa family legacy: His OFF mode represents everything his father despites and works as a antonym of the “ very masculine and elegant cold-blooded hitman”. Where being placed in a submissive position is just unacceptable for the image of Superiority and dominance a future Boss must display. I will always see the Father-son conversation in chapter 8 as subtext of a homophobic Father and his gay son. (Or at least that’s what you can see on media). All about continuing the legacy is literally Shigeki telling Rei to have blood-related children of his own with of course a high class girl that might as well be involved in their world and share their vision, like the daughter of an associated gang. Just for this old piece of sht to discover that his own blood might actually prefer other men company. Which is also implied in the scene when he talks sht about Kazuki. Just for it to be even more suspicious when Rei immediately defended him with such emotion in his voice. (he even refers Kazuki by his name). Miserably destroying his façade about hadn’t made any personal attachments. At that point it was clear to me his father didn’t bite a bit of what Rei had said.

I also hold the headcanon that Rei took after his mother, and my as well be a reason for his father being so cruel to him, especially when he was younger and the resemblance was stronger. Plus adding the fact that, even though he see many of Kazuki’s plans as dumb or stupid, he goes along with them, even when it’s obvious he could reduced him at any moment, he lets Kazuki handle him around and invade his personal space. This guy is touch-starved and enjoys being taken care of and seem pretty comfortable having someone else taking the lead, although he might first die before admitting it.

Just to finish this mess, apart from the mother – malewife jokes, there is nothing that can convince me of Kazuki being the bottom. Yeah, these are anime clichés, but even between all the broken ones, I feel the staff did saved the physixal ones (height difference, body shape), plus the fact that Kazuki is the only one to be shown interested in being in relationships where he tops (obviously with women). Or when his relationship with Rei and Miri is compared as his with Yuzuko and the unborn baby. Of course Rei was also compared with his mentor, where Kazuki might as well resembled his wife. But chapter 7 did went deeper with the comparisons.

I just listened to the Project Meridian plotline for the first time and HOLY SHT

Spoilers below!!

This had me in a CHOKEHOLD ALL DAY.

Why don’t people talk about this more?? Literally all I knew was that James had a spouse and that Marcus was a weird guy that kissed a robot.

I didn’t know that we, the listener, were the robot! AND that we were a yandere robot!!!

I don’t like yandere plots, usually, because they feel horrific in a way that is way too close to reality (having a stalker is not something I wish on anyone), but the way this was presented CAPTIVATED me.

The gradual progression from unhealthy interest to extreme obsession was phenomenal. Especially because, while I knew he was a creep, I did not see Marcus as inherently Evil at first.

At first, I viewed this as more of a sci-fi horror, where Marcus was the catalyst, and it was ultimately his fault, but still a character I had empathy for. I thought “asset” was going to go down a darker path and that James was in danger.

It wasn’t until “Your Owner Takes Matters Into His Own Hands” that I realized how disgusting Marcus truly was. Then “Your Owner’s Log Entry” cemented that completely.

“Confronting Your Technician” was PAINFUL. I had such a hard time not feeling bad for Marcus, (bc who tf let Erik be such a great actor???) but James really shone through. He was blunt and confrontational and made it clear exactly how gross Marcus truly was without a hint of bias. I gained a new respect for his character that I hadn’t had before. Especially with how kindly he spoke to Asset afterwards.

And I LOVED the reveal of all the trigger words in the code!!! I didn’t catch any of them at first and had been really confused during A Talk With One of Your Devious Owners, but once everything came together I LOST IT.

I’m really grateful I got to listen to this with little to no spoilers. I was able to feel exactly what Erik was trying to invoke every step of the way and enjoy the immersion in the story.

I will never be able to get over Erik’s brilliance in writing and acting. How he is not a full-fledged voice actor, I have no idea. Everything he puts out is so well thought out and captivating, and somehow it stuns me every time.

AND ANTON— I love him with my whole heart and I’m going to personally track down Marcus and kick his teeth in I stg. I can’t wait to see how his plot develops 😭 Let him come home 😭

In the end it turns out LWJ was kidnapped by the Jins to frame WWX. LWJ shows up in time to save WWX.

19. hello!! i’ve been trying to find this fic (i’m pretty sure i read it on ao3). it’s set in modern times (idk if it counts as modern cultivation) where wangxian are married. i can’t remember wwx’s job but lwj was a firefighter. he was trying to save a kid but they couldn’t get out and so they died. i think nmj was his superior, or something like that. nmj informed wwx of lwj’s death. there’s this tradition of the lan clan where widows of the clan seclude themselves in cloud recesses. it’s pretty old so no one really follows it anymore. but wwx does anyway. in his grief he invents (?) an array to go back in time. however he goes back to canon era. i think that’s the end of it. thank u!! @fluffiestfluffer

He can't risk angering them but LWJ isn't on board until WWX plays him a very cursed song and says something about "your mother told me" so ghost madam lan is in the building? and at the end lan xichen breaks down in tears before his parents'ancestral tablets. oh also, jiang cheng might have intimated he murdered lqr but I'm not 100% on that.

i don’t like how he feels entitled to take time away to „think“ about this situation when he didn’t do it in the first place like a man who‘s raising a child for years should’ve done. he wanna act like he has a „perfect“ family well let’s unpack how he’s not even a man in the first place. he doesn’t know how to raise his daughter and put boundaries with his babymother including not talking about his past relationships with her when they’re not together i mean yeah you can be friends and what not but i don’t feel comfortable knowing his babymother knows about oc when she a) doesn’t even know oc and her past and b) puts her two cents into the situation when she has no right to all because she’s oh so worried for kookie right? like get the fvck out of here (sorry for cursing but she doesn’t come off as innocent you‘d like her to be) i also could care less about his damn daughter or the name of her even when it makes me angry knowing he did it out of spite like who in the right mind would do that knowing your „love of the life“ wanted that name for her own child?again his character just shows us how immature and childish he was and still is he didn’t change and never will. i mean he has a child and didn’t choose to change his attitude why would oc think he’s gonna do it for her now lol? hes the most selfish man i‘ve ever read in a fic and im not trying to bash your characters it’s just shows how we involve us with your story’s because it’s so interesting right? so pls don’t think this is me criticizing you no. i would also like to add that i believe his babymother is threatened by oc bc why else would she say stuff like that to jungkook (no i don’t believe that she’s worried for him lol💀) i mean where was she when he fucked around? could’ve told him to stop doing it before he has a 2nd babymother and what not see this is why i don’t like her she’s threatened bc oc is not like the others im pretty sure she’s scared that her own child’s gonna call her mom or some sht.

the perfect example is eunjin, the baby mama. for me, she's simply trying to help, she doesn't want anything from jk and she doesn't feel threatened by oc because she isn't in love with jk nor does she believe that her daughter would call oc mom. she's concerned and wants to help. i didn't build her to be toxic but some of you perceive her like that.

then yeah, jk has been acting like a complete idiot. he hasn't moved on at all, and is very immature. he simply was overwhelmed with everything & didn't know how to act when he finally got what he desperately wanted for 10 years.

for sure, oc deserves better, jk didn't treat her right. he didn't move on from their relationship & treat her badly when she's finally back. however, I want to believe that people can change with time & maybe jk will change in the future 🤷🏻‍♀️

Okay here we go... (warning: absolute chaos of mind)

So, I usually do not watch dramas because they make me feel things and I don't like that. I have too much of that already, without having to watch a sad tv production.

But.

I made an exception for Eve (ofc) and watched 'Maryland'.

And Jesus Christ, it was though (but in a good way).

I've never felt so connected to a character before. I actually never felt any real connection and not just a few similarities whatsoever. But I just have to admit that if you age her down, remove the cancer, the sister and replace the mother living a double life with a father (and bring him back to life), than there you have it, that's me. I am Rosaline.

I still don't know how to feel about that. I mean it's kinda crazy how I've watched so many movies and tv shows and never felt such a strong connection to a woman who has, at first site, nothing in common with me... yeah, I'm gonna be thinking about that for a while.

I really should get my thoughts in order first but I still want to mention the:

The school bell commences the end of the school day,

As everyone gathers their things, two girls steal glances at each other and sneakily make past their way out of the dreaded university.

Outside of the University, holds two lovely and deeply in love college girls holding hands, side by side.

Needless to say, they were frazzled from school, but somehow, by the mysterious spell, casted by love...

They feel energized when they're together.

They've been through each other's bitter and sweet moments, failures and success, glooms and joys.

They know each other. The way you can imagine how soulmates would naturally do.

Anyway, to get a move on, they made a move. Duhh, hahaha

Ashlyn, accompanied by her girlfriend Amara, went to Ashlyn's house, to release the scared cat out of the bag.

As they seat confrontly inside the living room, silence appears to be the first to reply to Ashlyn's sudden confession.

To everyone's suprise, a loud *bam* resonated accross the room, with 2 shocked faces (Amara and the mother), 1 father whose face fumed hot enough to burn an apple, and Ashlyn, who stood there dissapointed. In a melancholy state, you can tell she's not suprised, she knew what was coming from her father, yet too stubborn to admit, deep in her heart, Ashlyn felt a painful pang of hurt and betrayal wound her heart.

She regrets bringing Amara into this broken family.

"Get out of my house you disgusting sht, i dont have a child like you."

It's always been like that, a bitter and short tempered father, and a sweet darling mother.

From there, a bittersweet B.I. was birthed.

So, Ashlyn wasn't suprised, didnt even give a second thought and pulled Amara out of the house and away from Ashlyn's father.

As the two torned apart lovers walk the streets filled with gloom, in a chilly thursday afternoon,

Hey can't help but feel distant, because of the overwhelming feelings and thoughts flooding their minds.

Such thoughts make their hearts and bodies feel heavier than a vending machine.

And so, Amara thought of a perfect date plan with Ashlyn, to bring light to the mood.

A trip to a cute pizza place!!!

Or maybe a jazzy cat café!!!

Both things they love.

Because of course, nothing better than to fill our tummies up, before solving and thinking hard about their problems.

Before anything, i'm not a Hnata fan, so i'm not defending her entirely, neither will praise her, so i don't recommend her fans reading this.

In this post i'm talking about haters of both characters, not fans who dislike these characters, don't confuse the two.

This is Sakura critical and Hnata kinda.

These people who hate Hnata and Sakura get on my nerves, the whole "i only hate them because they're badly written female characters" doesn't sit right with me either! Why don't you hate the entire female cast huh? They're pretty terrible too, some of them doesn't even have a writing to begin with, Naruto it's literally known as the anime with terrible girl characters, so what's the point? "Oh but they're the most relevant", yep Sakura is the main girl but Hnata? HER RELEVANCE IS THE SAME AS DOOR! She barely appears in that manga! There's other fem charas who are equally terrible written which appear way more, it doesn't make sense. ALL OF THEM, have some sort of sexism in their writing, Hnata and Sakura aren't the only fcking ones, so why focus only on them?

And S//S and N//H... god damn, these ships are trash to me, but IT'S NOT BECAUSE HNATA OR SAKURA! It's because is badly written, simple as that, but what these people do? BLAME ON HNATA AND SAKURA? The ship is canon because fcking Kishimoto wanted, not because Hnata and Sakura forced the boys to marry, holy sht, why they act as if the characters got out of the paper and beg in knees to Kishimoto made these ships canon? Blame fcking Kishimoto for the sake of God

These people are so worried about her sexist writing that forgot that someone wrote them! That forgot that they're like this for his fault! That forgot that his views are projected in these characters! If you think these characters and ships are trash BLAME ON HIM! Not the characters or the fandom, they didn't do anything, they didn't control the fcking story! But why isn't this energy into Kishimoto? Most of people who i see genunely getting mad at him, are the fans of these characters for him not writing them well, why don't the haters do the fcking same? Some criticize but it's not at the same level of how they despise the characters and never will be, they prefer to get mad at the fandom...

And if they're terrible people, well, Naruto is full of pieces of crap, you have an entire ocean to chose from, but then you prefer to focus only on them? Seriously? They aren't the only characters in these manga!

Hmm if I'm being honest, Aleksi and Maya's relationship kind of mirrors Loid and Yor's dynamic from Spy x Family (just make it platonic big sis-lil sis friendship and imagine them working together)

It's like spy x assassin combo right there

So yeah as mentioned from @besnella 's post of how Aleksi first saw Yui, it was also the same time Aleksi met Maya and guuurl the height difference between them is so large, Aleksi looks like her big sis (I want a big sis omg)

Just imagine Aleksi's 185 cm height vs Maya's 145 one. Go figure.

Aleksi thought "ah this girl's cute" cause Maya has this Japanese standard look on her, ya know long coal hair, sharp doll eyes, pale skin, the works (she actually reminds Aleksi of those Japanese kokeshi dolls, ya know it's like Japanese matryoshkas)

On the other hand, the only thing that comes to Maya's mind when she saw Aleksi was "fire" and "power" (Alexa, play Girl on Fire)

Aleksi heard of Maya being a former human who turned into an incomplete vampire bcos of a blood transfusion spell, then was later on sired by one of the Sakamaki's and married her to seal the deal.

Yeah, as if Karlheinz wreaking havoc in the demon and human world is not enough, he had to make his spawn man child (this is Kanato but let's pretend we don't know him) wed the poor doll.

So one time Aleksi was becoming the queen of the night, enjoying the party to bliss when she nearly had her fall and someone was pouring wine.

Good thing, Maya managed to save her, catching her by the arm before matters got worse.

And yes, some obnoxious gaslighting vampire noble became the victim of that pouring wine but we don't care abt them cause they just think of us humans as blood bags anyway

That was just the beginning.

One day, Aleksi was assigned on a mission, but not just a mission where she kills and retrieves info then go.

The thing is, she can never be caught. Like she had to make it seem like the vampire drug den and all the people did not exist. And even though it's relatively easy, Aleksi cannot move hastily.

Because one, the den was located in the human world and the person behind it was some famous personality sht. It's like Karlheinz being Togou Sakamaki in that world.

Pft. Fucking asshole

But she was just informed that someone is backing her up from the shadows so she just needs to do her usual work.

So yeah the mission went smoothly. Aleksi murdered the mastermind, got the files she needed from their inventory room, etc. She was about to leave the damn place when she heard a man scream from the hallway.

The next thing, the fvcking sht was crawling his way towards her.

Aleksi made a stance, readying her gun to end his poor fate when the man suddenly stopped in his tracks then died, blood spilling from his mouth.

After a few minutes, Aleksi saw Maya enter the room casually, unscathed like nothing happened while holding her silver bow and arrow.

Maya bowed to her in respect.

"Thank you for your work, miss. I will handle the rest."

Aleksi didn't expect that but oh well

And the next thing, Maya summoned all her skeleton familiars from the demon world to fix the mess in the den. Like the den has to be freaking empty, to a point that no one had been there.

"Have you been doing this for a long time now?"

Maya nodded. "It's quite hard to clean blood once it has dried up so I've been fixing things before they get quite difficult."

And that's how they bonded. Turns out, Aleksi will prob have missions involving Maya since the vampire doll is tasked to ensure no mythical beings (esp vampires) are causing havoc in the human world.

Aleksi "So do you just cover up their mess or you kill them?"

Maya "Depends. Most of the time, I just kill them in the dream world so they would die of natural causes."

It was purely a strict business relationship between the two... until Aleksi started sending her snake familiars to Maya so they can bond over other things like shopping, spa, salon etc

Like there was one time Maya was serving snacks to the Sakamaki bros when a small snake appeared and wrapped itself around her hands

I swear Ayato freaked out and thought their family doll has a secret pet snake. Even Reiji was so ready for his lecture when Maya just casually told them

"It's a snake familiar sent by a business partner."

But yeah Aleksi taught Maya things like dressing up for the mission, what kind of makeup she should put on during disguise. Even taught her how to wear a wig properly so Maya won't have to deal with tons of hairstyle accessories just to make her hair different for every mission

"Just dye your hair, Maya-chan! I bet you'll look pretty in blonde."

"... I still don't want to."

Sometimes they would bond during training sessions, especially when Maya wants to vent out abt the Sakamaki bros, like when they screw up somewhere and want her to clean up their mess.

"I swear I will kill Ayato-san if he weren't my husband's older brother." 💀💀💀

But yeah overall they trust each other completely with their life, and it's evident by how they watch each other's back during missions.

If Aleksi was the one fighting the battles, Maya will work in the shadows to ensure no one gets in her way.

To be honest, I usually don't reblog your posts BECAUSE of the passive-aggressive tone you often use. It's just kpop. I like Laboum but it won't end my life if they're not world famous. I just want to enjoy music and stages and all their content happily, not create a second job for myself as their unseen manager. It's okay if that's how you stan and have fun but it's not for me.

i never said i liked spending so much time on LABOUM. i am aware i have an internet addiction and have been hyperfixating on the group to avoid stressing out about worse things in my daily life.

not just me but also other latte i talk to on twitter and tiktok are really fucking burned out from how much we try to do. i don't think being a stan should be a day job. i sure would love if people shared shit we post though instead of keep scrolling or give a like once a month, which does virtually nothing. we wouldn't have to stress out so much if people actually engaged with things we did. we try to encourage ppl to use apps to win youtube ads for Laboum (which worked but slowly, it's how we made Kiss Kiss finally reach 1 million views), we ask people to give feedback, to maybe watch a video or play a streaming playlist, or partake in a game, or to buy an album or share an MV with friends.

the way that a lot of people don't do that sht, the way that in MONTHS no new people have followed their twitter or youtube, the way that barely anyone talks about them online, does in fact signify that people don't care about Laboum. not everyone needs to be an active social media user or anything ofc, but this degree of lack of attention? unless when it's about a disbandment prediction, joking about the girls' horrible experiences at their expense, or fake interest in the group only on certain conditions, shit doesn't get attention.

the girls had viral tiktok videos a bunch of times, but the majority of the people watching have no fucking clue who they are or that they aren't just actors, and it's just me and 1 other Latte trying to respond to tired comments calling the members by names of characters they played, or "ZN" which is Jinyea's old stage name. if ONLY there were a few more Latte who would leave a comment or two for once as well, the few of us wouldn't have to deal with trying to inform the general public abt Laboum.

people not sharing shit abt LABOUM is one of the main reasons why so may ppl now think they disbanded, and why you see a bunch of kpop fans who claim they're a fan of LABOUM but have been out of the loop w them for 3-6 years. it doesn't help that their domestic fanbase consists of mainly loser incels who don't dare to fucking talk about the group unless when being petty about Yulhee or creepy about their bodies.

and i know tumblr kpop fans LOVE only looking at stupid fucking gifs and not clicking on the videos they're from, acting as if streaming is a fucking punishment from hell instead of just playing a fucking song or playlist you like in the background, and acting as if it's a shocker when groups aren't doing well when so fucking few people who pretend to be a fan actually listen to music or read or watch anything new or buy music. considering your purple heart use, you should KNOW how supporting musicians works. as much as i hate the competitiveness and commodity in the music industry, likes alone never helped artists.

so yeah i'm passive-aggressive bc im trying to fucking encourage people to do something more than say they like Laboum but never dare to mention their name nor recommend a song nor share anything about them. i wouldnt be so fucking frustrated if i saw some more hype aside from from clickbait content and gg stans who just namedrop them for edgy crappy jokes.

Laboum don't need to be world famous and i don't think they will be per se, but they are really unknown. unless people do something more than just quietly listen to them once every blue moon and don't engage in anything Latte are asking or encouraging people to do, they will remain as extremely unknown as right now and disband when their contracts end in summer 2023.

other Latte are feeling the same frustrations as i do and feel exhausted. anyone who knows Laboum's story and the international, knows how small it is and how frustrated we are. this shouldn't be a surprise if you've talked to any Latte. i am familiar with how reserved fans are in this fandom. when trying to set up projects before for their anniversaries, it ended with me and only 1 other Latte in a skype call, no communication from the rest, and them not daring to partake any projects or plans anymore. that felt really disappointing.

so no, i don't find fun in being so stressed and active in trying to promote LABOUM to such an extent bc me and a few others are trying to do work for multiple ppl and for free at that. but all we ask is basic stuff like 'please also share posts' or 'hey check out and share this new song cover'. it's already ridicilous i have to ask ppl to share posts bc they refuse to, whether i ask or not.

if that's too much work, are people really interested in the group???? the thing is also that if other people, at least a few more, do a little more than nothing, it would actually make more people discover the group on their own socials, become fans, and partake in fandom. we wouldn't be so burned out if there were more than like 5-20 accounts trying to do so much bc no one else will. e.g. we emailed the company to demand translators and it hired one, but then barely anyone watched LABOUM's newer youtube videos and so that was kind of abandoned too. no views or attention = a sign that people aren't interested = no new content. that's how it works.

oh my, this song. I've had so much to get through this month. it all started with my sessions. we eventually had the session about sa and it was the hardest thing I ever had to do. I've been crying for days about it. I even opened up to my mother about it because I was crying so much I couldn't hide it anymore. soon after this, I read they both die at the end & I cried for two days straight. after all of this, last morning technoblade's death was announced and I'm... I'm just done.

I don't know what to expect, how should I survive, how will I move on from all of this?

this one is a heavy song as well. I've been feeling more safe listening to sad songs and this one... this means a bit more than anything else lately.

SO i’m gonna preface by saying I haven’t seen this much, but it’s popped up enough i’m starting to get concerned that its going to become A Thing. 

I’m slowly starting to see people getting unnecessarily angry about people drawing queer couples as Tall Person and Short Person and like... I do understand some aspects of that can be fetishizing and creepy esp when it comes to queer relationships and also when it comes to certain body types (which i am also seeing, and those are valid complaints that’s not what i’m worried about) but... recently that’s not the take i’m seeing. I’m seeing people say that its a problem because it’s 'reinforcing heterosexual norms’ and like???

People like the idea that opposites attract dude it’s not ‘oh women short man tall’ there is a well known visual appeal to the aesthetics of characters of different heights interacting! That’s why it’s a trope in media! It’s not that deep and if you don’t like it draw them your own way or find different media to interact with, you do not have a right to go around snapping at or people you don’t know just because you don’t like something they’re doing. Especially when it’s fundamentally harmless. Not to mention that the people I’ve seen yelled at so far are queer themselves. Like take your nose and put it back in your own business you are not entitled to other peoples media and if you don’t like a trope then don’t consume media with that trope! And if you find there’s not enough media without that trope make your own! Or pay someone else to make it! this system is built so we can make things we like not so we can bully other people into doing it for us.
