When I want to implement a change in my life but don’t know where or how to begin, I simply start with telling myself that I’m going to do it for the sake of Allah (swt). Because when I feel myself wanting to give in to old ways, I remember that it wasn’t for me that the change was made, but rather for my Creator. And going back on a promise with myself holds less guilt than going back on a promise with my Lord.
