WIP WEDNESDAY TURNED INTO WIP THURSDAY.

i was tagged by @montliyets and @arklay and for once i found the courage to post a wip on here, i’m literally shaking and crying since i’m already shy about letting people read what i write and now in english even? shocking. anyways, be aware that there’s no editing on this, we die like men

"I wish it could be true." Vesper found herself admitting. She really wanted to believe that she loved him, that he finally made up his mind and he would stop being just a shadow in her life that sometimes follows her and most of times can't be found. She wished to live and bask in this perfect, rare moment, just her and Fenix together. It was just a dream, she kept remembering, and she woke up from it long ago.

"It can be. If you want it." Fenix's voice felt almost like a whisper as he studied Vesper's face. She finally met his gaze, an almost distraught expression painted her face.

She brushed Fenix's hand away from her face. “This is not you, not really. It's just the perfect version that shows up once in a while. Real you is somewhere up there,” she pointed at his head and drew imaginary circles “and he’s already thinking of leaving, again. You know, when I'm with you, the real you, it's him that I miss, the fake better version." Fenix had no way of arguing. Deep down he knew that Vesper was right, he was aware of his shortcomings and their incompatibilities but he had never changed. He just couldn't, he didn’t know how or maybe he didn’t want to try. They both knew it and decided that this was now the norm, and they had to come to terms with it.

The contrast between the perfect, idealized version of her past lover and reality always left a bitter taste in her mouth; Vesper couldn't help but think of the better Fenix, she wished to meet him more often, she couldn't wait to experience another moment together. He visited her so rarely, it almost felt like a reward, perhaps making the meeting sweeter but reality harsher.

“Well but now I'm here, right? It's your time." Fenix got closer and closer, he put his hand on her leg and Vesper smiled, one of her playful smiles, the rare ones. Somehow physical contact with him always felt easy, right.

"Nix, I'm dying." Vesper said suddenly, the topic was sitting too heavily between them since days, she looked unusually defeated, as if she had decided to surrender to her fate; smile faded from her sharp face "And once all this...process will reach the end, there will be nothing left of me, of my memories.” Letting her guard down, her defenses fall, was easier with Fenix. She strived to remind herself of all his flaws but she couldn't hide anymore how intensly she wished to have him by her side. Vesper let her head rest on his shoulder, face partially hidden against his neck: his scent of cheap cologne and his favorite brand of cigarettes mixed with something wild, dangerous, that she never was able to give a name to, made her feel at home. She felt at peace. "And I won't be able to be with you again."

“You won't die, baby. Don't you remember what Daniel said? Your insufferable little brother will never allow you to leave." He wrapped his arm around her shoulders. "Where is the Ves that punches her way out of every situation and always comes out victorious? Maybe a bit bloody but you are a winner. Where is that ‘The Iron Maiden’ in you?” she hated the way he used her ring name, always felt like mocking but in a different way from his usual assholery, she couldn’t explain it but she felt almost relieved to hear it. “Don't tell me you've softened up because that would be a serious blow to someone else who would get soft. You know I like you strong, bloody and powerful, that look in your eyes does things to me." Vesper snorted at the clumsy, allusive comment and pushed herself away from him. Fenix knew he made an effect and couldn’t stop from grinning.

"You never change, do you?" the playful note in her voice was too easily recognizable for Fenix to not immediately took advantage of this shift of mood.

"For your complete happiness I will never change." He slowly slid his hand back on her thigh and then leaned over to whisper his next words to her ear "If you are so afraid of not seeing me again baby, you should take advantage of every opportunity."

His warm breath, as Fenix slowly pronounced every single word, brought that tingling sensation to the neck back to Vesper. She stopped thinking rationally for a second.

"Yeah? What, are you offering me one last ‘fuck-out-of-pity’ before dying? " she teased him, pretending this wasn't a common occurrence after they broke up. Fenix started tracing his way, from her collarbones up to her neck, with the tip of his nose. Lips brushing her skin along his path.

"I don’t remember hearing you complain about it."

feeling like a total asshole today 👍

#an aunt's mom passed away yesterday night #i didn't really know her that much just spoke to her a few times for the typical merry christmas & happy new year you know #so when my mom told me i felt bad for my aunt bc i knew they were really close but i don't feel SAD #but my parents seemed to be like so shocked and sad and my little brother even started crying #and i felt absolutely nothing #idek what my mom saw in my face but she went like 'don't you feel anything?' and like wtf am i supposed to feel #like. i'm sorry for my aunt and everything but i just?????#that already made me feel like an absolute asshole but now we have to go there (like 2hours away by car)#and because i am an adult now i *have* to go to the funeral home (?) today and to the funeral tomorrow #and i REALLY don't want to and thought it's making me so fucking anxious bc i haven't been there since my grandma passed away 2 years ago #i really don't want that feeling that i felt back then to come back #not right now #not when i've been starting to feel a bit better this past week #but i'm already failing at that because they started to come back the moment i was told i have to go #and i feel like a fucking asshole because my aunt's mom literally passed away and she (and her whole family) must be heartbroken right now #and all i can think about is that i'm anxious #i'm anxious to go back there. i'm anxious just thinking that i'll have to express my condolences to people that i don't even know #i'm anxious because i'll have to TALK to people and at least try to look a bit SAD but i can't just fake it #bc if i don't look sad my brain tells me that i'm an asshole that doesn't have feelings like apparently everyone around me has #but if i fake it my brain tells me that i'm an asshole bc why tf do i have to fake my fucking personality #why can't i just express my fucking feelings like normal people do and the only thing that i know how to do is fucking complain #like. i know i rant a lot here but it's literally the only place where i talk about my feelings #i NEVER talk about my feelings with anyone because idk HOW to do it #i have like a million things in my mind that i want to tell my mom or my therapy for example but when i finally convince myself to do it #i just CAN'T. the thoughts won't leave my mouth because i don't know how to phrase them properly #so nothing ever leaves my mind unless i make a post here bc apparently writing my thoughts in english (my 2nd language)#is easier than talking in spanish #and at least if i write them here they don't just stay bottled up in my mind #but i'm too tired of myself and my stupid brain that tells me that i do everything wrong :/#i'm gonna shut up now bc i once again reached the tag limit

What you didn't know is that when he came home, he'd get you a lovely bouquet of tulips and some pickles. He'd just pulled your grumpy self into a tight loving hug as he kissed your temple repeatedly until your mood vanished.

"Cause the doctor just sent me the results! And you ruined the surprise. I wanted to tell them in a different way!"

Ever since you told Miguel you both were expecting a girl, it was like a switch turned in him.

He'd cuddle you with such care, he'd think you'd break. Wich was annoying to you since you missed sleeping ontop of him.

And when the cravings started? Dios mío.

"M-Miguel" You'd whimper as you wiped your eyes. He'd startle and instantly go in alert mode.

Drowsy eyes looked at the clock. 2 am. On another time, he'd surely would ignore the senseless petition and talk to go back to sleep. But how could he do that when you were pregnant? He was an ass sometimes, but with a pregnant you? Never.

He went to the store, to his dismay there was only two small pickle jars, and they were inside a lady's basket.

Why was everyone suddenly in the crave for pickles?

He didn't have to elaborate much and explained the lady. She just laughed it off and kindly surrendered them to him.

"Cravings? Oh boy. You better buy her the three jar packs. And avoid wearing too strong colognes infront of her! It might get her queasy."

"Thanks" With a polite smile he paid for the pickles and went home.

You were waiting for him, teary eyed and pouty. He opened the jar of pickles for you and stared at you with awe and a mild disgust as you dipped one of the pickles inside the Nutella and scarfed the veggie down with such hunger it made you cry again.

"Its so good."

His shoulders slumped with a sigh and wiped your chin.

"You're such a weirdo."

"Want some?"

"No, thanks. Keep eating"

As time went on and your belly grew, the doctor appointments never got skipped or missed. He was there making sure everything was in order. His big hand hugging yours in a secure embrace as you got your ultrasounds. Everything was going perfectly.

The most dangerous months had passed and he allowed to breathe a bit more.

He had refused when you told him you wanted to work from home. Even if it was home office.

"No. It can lead you to stress out. And that will stress the baby out. Something can happen and no. Let me handle it."

"Stop being paranoid, I'll be fine! I just... don't like sitting all day or sleeping. I need to do something. And you didn't let me do much in the baby's room either!"

On the six month mark, you'd toss and turn on bed, feeling either too hot or cold. One moment you were snuggled against him, for the next to remove your clothes and lay naked next to him.

One particular night you felt suffocating. Summer was rampant and you woke up in tears at the oppressing heat.

He'd wake up no long after and filled in the bathtub with the right kind of water. Sweat and hormones raging on your body. Despite sleepiness clinging to him, he'd help you to the tub and bathe you.

Big and gentle hands massaged your wet scalp to then massage your shoulders and lower back. He splashed your body with water and kissed your temple carefully.

"Feel better? "

"Great, thank you, mi amor."

He'd smile lazily and remained there with you, almost falling asleep again in the bathroom until you were ready to leave to sleep.

He'd buy you long and cotton nightgowns. They were breathable and made everything a bit more comfortable for you, along some essential vitamins. And a hammock for the porch. He'd find you sleeping often in there.

Whenever you went out with the rest he'd make sure that none ordered meat. You still were sensitive to the smell, despite Peter longing for a burger.

Miguel would bathe with you to help you wash your back. But it was just an excuse to touch you and feel you. He'd be as gentle as he could with you. It turned him on to see you swelling with his child. Even brought out things he didn't know was into. Like, a lactation kink. And eat you out despite your protests of not being able to see him.

He was absolutely moonstruck with you. And when the time for you to deliver his baby finally came. He tried to remain strong and collected, despite his hands trembling like an earthquake. He kept an eye on you like a hawk, always looming around you.

He couldn't help but melt when Gabriella's cries echoed loud and healthy on the room.

He kissed you with such pride in his eyes that you'd think he was about to cry.

He knew his life with you had just started, and he was glad he had chosen you. Happy and grateful even. You just made him a dad of a wonderful little girl that instantly quieted down when he held her in his arms. One of the nurses snapped a picture of him holding and cooing Gabi as you got a well deserved nap.

Despite him not being a texter, he sent the picture of Gabi to the group chat.

I got lost in my thoughts and thought of a prompt so sorry if it's a bit jumbled lol So it's like a wrong place wrong time kind of thing where the reader is mistaken for an enemy, and taken to the base. Maybe interrogated a bit before the 141 are told they have the actaul enemy on they way to them and they're like 'then who tf is this....oh shit....'

141, one of the best military groups the British military has. As always, they have a target to chase after, this time it's in a small town. Their informant let them know it would be a person dressed in a completely different attire than they were used to. You happened to be walking back from your boring job when you passed their location.

"Bravo 0-6, we have eyes on the target," Gaz said over the radio. "Roger that," Price responded, Within seconds you felt as if someone was chasing you. And having that you watched a crime documentary the night before, you quickly thought of a way out. You walked normally but stayed in well-lit areas. The men thought you were just trying to play along with your facade. "Don't let 'em get away," Soap said from his location, his snipe pointed at you. You grabbed your pocket knife and held it in your hand. You walked faster towards a more public road. "Quick, Ghost!" Price ordered. You heard footsteps getting closer and closer.

You ran away, not daring to look back once. You took many detours until you were close to a nearby church, Church service had started but before you could even reach it, Ghost tackled you. "Don't hurt me!" you told him, your hands held high. He took your knife away and pointed his gun at your head, "Why the hell were you running?" You tried to stay calm but two other men approached you, Gaz and Price with their own guns pointed at you. "Soap, you got visual?" Price asked over the radio. "Yes, Sir" was the response, a red dot on your chest. You panicked.

"No please, you are mistaken." your desperate voice pleaded. "That's what they all say." Price growls and Gaz and Ghost drag you back to their temporary base. The entire way there, you cried and begged to be let go. "You have the wrong person, please I'm innocent!" you cried. Soap aggressively cupped your face, "Yer shut the fuck up, ye hear me?"
