I hate math but I'm obsessed okay because I have so many questions about the last few minutes of Warrior Nun s2. So spoilers(watch it) but enjoy my rant
Ava went into the portal and the time from when that happens and when Beatrice is seen leaving the ODS isn't mentioned. Hours? Days? Who knows. But Ava is already back by then so she could in theory have been spit back onto Earth seconds later. But I was like "they are probably going to age Ava up right?" She is 19 (i think, might be 20) when everything goes down, let's say she ages 5 years in Reya's time. That would be like roughly 2 days and a couple hours in Earth time (if i did maths right). Beatrice is 23 (according to wiki), just a little fun fact, not implying anything 👀 Anyway our little pure of heart, dumb of ass Ava will annoy Reya relatively quickly anyway so she wont be gone too long.

"so, your... thing bleeds every month?"
you nod
"are you stupid?
"i'm sorry?"
ao'nung clicks his tongue, looking at you with disbelieve. "that means you're doing something, only Eywa knows what, to yourself. and you’re doing it so badly that it bleeds-"
you hit him on the head, "no! what are you even thinking?"
"no, but seriously" neteyam looks at you with concern, "forgive me for watching you, but this morning i saw you wash your blanket that’s literally soaked with blood"
your face starts to heat up, "that means the cloth i use wasn't enough-"
"3 pieces of cloth to soak your blood. and it wasn't even enough?" tsireya's voice filled with worry, "are you sure you're okay? we could ask my mother to patch you up"
"reya, im fine-"
"no you're not! you came to her for painkillers this morning, to mend your stomach cramps!"
"its probably tape worms"
"no shit", rotxo snickers
"or just a real bad constipation"
"rotxo, ao’nung please” kiri rolls her eyes, tired of their stupidity. “they clearly said that the bleeding comes from their other below"
not long after lo'ak snaps his head towards you, mouth agape. "holy shit. i think i know what's going on", then quickly moves closer to you. his face just a few inches from yours, his terrified look terrifies you
"my mother experienced the same things as you, when we were about to have tuk. stomach hurting, below bleeding- "
"no. fucking. way” rotxo clasps his mouth, “are you about to give birth?"
"what?"
ao’nung’s jaw dropped. “who knocked you up?”
“that’s it i’m taking you to the tsahik”
“STOP”
your friends went quiet.
they could only stare at your flushed face as your breathing went erratic.
you gulp, trying to calm yourself down. you close your eyes, inhaling a good amount of oxygent to fill your lungs and letting your mind go blank. then, you could open your mouth again
"as you all know, female bodies bear children in their uterus, yes?"
they all nod
"good. now the uterus, in human bodies specifically, would prepare for pregnancy every month-"
"so you need to get pregnant every month?"
"shut up rotxo"
"wait a minute" kiri cuts you off, "you’re not pregnant, but you’re currently bleeding. so the bleeding occurs when the pregnancy doesn’t happen?"
"yup. because i'm not pregnant, my womb's lining shreds out"
their terrified screams deafens you

Tsireya x F!Na'vi!reader, Neteyam x F!Na'vi!reader, lo'ak x Tsireya
Summary- Neteyam and Lo'ak find their girlfriends in a compromised position
Warnings- Everyone is aged up!, scissoring, squirting, fingering, oral(f receiving), face riding, masturbation(male)
Wc- 2.8k
-
"Have you ever kissed a girl?" Tsireya asks you and you look at her in shock.
"Oh uh no, have you?" She scooted close to you and shook her head.
"No, but I would like to." She cocked her head to the side and stared at you. Your cheeks heated up.
"You have a boyfriend, I have a boyfriend."
"They don't have to know Y/n, it's just one kiss." Tsireya placed a hand on your knee and rubbed it soothingly.
"Reya I want to kiss you but this is cheating and I love Neteyam." Her shoulders dropped in slight defeat.
"I'm sorry, just forget what I said." She goes to stand up and with no hesitation, you grab her hand.
"One kiss wouldn't hurt." You chuckled and your face heated up. Reya gave you a big smile and sat down again, closer this time, knees almost touching. She was eager to kiss you, ever since you arrived in Awa'atlu she wanted to steal a kiss but always thought it would never happen since she found out about you and Neteyam. She did end up with Lo'ak but never told him of her attraction toward his friend.
She leaned towards you and placed a hand on your chest, right over your heart.
"Your heart is so fast." She giggled and you nervously chuckled.
"Sorry." She didn't respond but lifted herself on her knees to tower over you. She slid her under up to your cheek and rested it there.
"Can I kiss you?"
"Yes." She didn't waste a second as she pushed her soft lips against yours. You kissed back and melted into the kiss. She pushed her tongue out to try and push into your mouth but you didn't budge just deepened the kiss. You grabbed at the ground while Reya had thrown a leg over you to straddle you.
You couldn't deny this was making your loincloth soaked. The smacking noise of lips against lips was turning you on. You placed your hands on her waist gently and pulled her in making her gasp slightly.
Unlike Tsireya you told Neteyam of your attraction toward the Metkayina princess. You confided in him of your curiosity about women and he was always supportive of it.
"Reya." You mumbled against her lips before pulling away.
"Yes." She said out of breath. You didn't say anything, just slowly reached behind her and played with the strings of her top. She understood what you were doing and reached behind her to grab your hands. "Are you sure?"
"I've never done this with a girl but I want to do it with you, I want to see all of you." She smiled at you and sat down, almost in your lap.
"Then you." She says and slowly her top starts to come loose. "Must show me you as well." She lifted the material and threw it somewhere her breasts sat so perfectly, they were perky and beautiful. You were hesitant but slowly moved forward and wrapped your lips around a bud. Her ears immediately perked up and she squeezed her eyes shut. You pushed your tongue against the numb and her jaw slacked as you started to suck.
She reached behind you and untied your top, she tried to be as gentle as possible but you could tell she was desperate for it to be off. You heard the string rip at the top and you were suddenly bare.
Tsireya let you have your fun with her breasts just a while longer before she pushed you back harshly to the floor.
"Reya?"
"Shh just enjoy." She scooted back to lie down flat on her belly. She kissed your lower belly while toying with the strings of your loincloth. You started to breathe heavily as she kept getting closer to your middle. The stings were pulled loose and she pulled it down to pool under you.
Nobody but Neteyam has seen you like this, in this state of undress and need. Tsireya was entranced by your body and her stares were making you nervous. You tried to close your legs but she immediately stopped your legs from closing.
"Do not hide, you are beautiful." She says and turns her head to place a gentle kiss on your thigh. Tsireya took in a deep breath and closed her eyes, trying to remember everything Lo'ak has done with her to use on you.
She opened her eyes and looked at you before slowly dipping her head down. She started kissing dangerously close to your pussy before kissing the edges of your folds. You gasped and threw your head back at the touch.
"Please." You slowly wrapped your hand into her curls. Tsireya kept kissing around your lips, letting her tongue poke into the folds. "Reya." At hearing you moan her name Reya couldn't help but feel herself grow wetter. She looked down at your engorged clit and licked her lips. She then brought two fingers to your folds and pushed them through gently making you gasp.
"What do you need?" She asks and you look at her to see her smirking.
"Reya don't tease, please just use a finger or use-." You gasped as she plunged a finger inside, all the way to the knuckle. Slowly she started bumping it back and forth inside of you, curling the tip to brush against your g spot. "Oh, great mother." You forced her head down into your pussy, making her nose push against your clit.
Reya decided not to tease you anymore, she was desperate for a taste now. She wrapped her lips around your clit and gave a hard suck. Her finger moved quicker inside of you, your moans were music to her ears.
You lifted your hips against her face, rocking and rolling them around trying to find your peak. Tsireya let out a growl, a noise you thought her sweet self could never think of making but she did, it was odd but she did.
"Don't move." She warned and slammed her forearm on your hips to force you down. She pushed in another finger and continued her assault on your clit. Your slick was pooling down around you.
"Im close." You raised yourself on your elbows to get a good look at the woman in between your legs. She looked up at you, with her big blue eyes. "Fuck." Your thighs began to shake and they shut around her head. Reya curled her fingers and pushed up roughly and she was suddenly splashed with your juices. She pulled her fingers out and opened her mouth to engulf your entire pussy. She lifted her arm and you instantly started grinding and almost humping her face.
"You taste good." She says and lifted her head. You slowly let her head go and your legs fell wide open. Reya licked her lips and slowly crawled over you, tail swishing back and forth softly. She hovered over you and watched you try to catch your breath. "Would you like a taste?" You nodded.
Reya pushed her lips down on yours and pushed her tongue in your mouth. You started to regain strength and started fighting for dominance while also grabbing her hips. The more you swapped spit and moaned loudly spurred Tsireya to start moving her hips back and forth. Her clothed clit was brushed against your lower stomach with each pass. You pulled away and looked down to see her slick leak through the loincloth.
"Ride my face." You say and her eyes widen.
"I do not want to hurt you." She stopped her movements and sat down.
"I want a taste Reya please." She sat there for a few seconds, contemplating her answer.
"Okay." She says and slowly undid her loincloth to throw it somewhere. She carefully shuffled herself over your mouth and took in a deep breath before lowering herself down. You instantly stuck out your tongue and grabbed her hips to keep her there. You pulled at her clit with your teeth before sucking on the bud. She gasped loudly and fell forward, holding herself up by her arms.
You found the hole and pushed the tip inside. Reya shut her eyes tightly and moaned loudly, she reached down and grabbed your braids. Pulling harshly at the scalp. You moaned and the slight pain and squeezed her hips.
"So good." She couldn't help but start to grind her hips down on your face. Sliding her pussy along your face, brushing against your nose letting you inhale her scent. Her stomach started tightening and her movements got quicker. "Shut Y/n." She started hopping softly on your mouth. She pushed her hands up to her chest and squeezed her breasts.
The two of you were so caught up in each other, you haven't noticed the two na'vi boys who were receiving a show.
-
"Bro we should just go back and wait for them." Groaned Lo'ak as they trudged through the forest.
"No, they have been out here for too long." Says Neteyam as he searches for you.
"Let them do what girls do when they are alone, they're probably saying stuff they don't want us to hear." He tried to reason with his brother but Neteyam didn't answer making him groan in frustration.
They didn't walk for much when they started to hear it.
Moans?
"Neteyam come on they could be hurt." Lo'ak hit his brother in the chest and darted toward the noise. Neteyam follows his brother, the noises were getting louder, and just as they got close Lo'ak stopped just before a clearing.
"What is it?" Neteyam asks and Lo'ak chuckles now wearing a big smirk on his face.
"Look." Neteyam looks at the clearing and his eyes always fall out of his head.
"What the fuck?" He watched his girlfriend, you holding onto Tsireya's hips as she sat on your face, clearly you were eating her out.
He knew of your attractions towards women, Tsireya specifically. He was always supportive. You got together when you were young so you didn't get a chance to experiment but you loved each other too much to let the other go. So you and Neteyam promised to tell the other if you find another na'vi attractive. In your case, Neteyam said it was okay if you wanted to experiment, he was confident in the relationship.
He only asked that you would tell him. But you clearly did not.
A low growl came from Neteyams chest and he started walking toward his girlfriend and his brother's girlfriend but he was stopped.
"What are you doing?" Asks Lo'ak barely able to take his eyes off the two girls.
"To stop this."
"Whoah big bro, why- why don't we let them finish first, I mean come on you can't tell me this doesn't turn you on just a bit?" Neteyam rolled his eyes but looked again. Your thighs were closed just, something you did when you couldn't get yourself off. "I bet she's doing the stuff you've done to her on Tsireya." Lo'ak let his brother go and leaned against the tree while watching his girlfriend hop on your face while squeezing her breasts.
Tsireya fell, cheek first to the ground as she rode out her orgasm on your face. You gave a few final sucks on her clit before gently moving her off of you. She collapsed to her side trying to catch her breath.
"You're good at that." She giggles and smiles at you dazed almost.
"I just tried to remember what Neteyam has done." You licked your lips and sat up. "I want to try something." She nodded and turned to lay flat. You crawled over to her and grabbed her leg and put it over your hip. You then sat in between her legs and rested your pussy on her thigh. Tsireya caught on to your plan and her heart started racing.
-
"Bro, how can you not like this?" Lo'ak asks Neteyam in disbelief.
"It's cheating Lo'ak." His younger brother just rolled his eyes. The sight of two beautiful women about to get even more intimate made the bulge in his loincloth grow.
"Fuck this." Grumbled Lo'ak and he undid his cloth and let it fall, his hard cock bounced and slapped his stomach. He spit in his hand and grasped his cock.
"What the fuck!? Neteyam whisper yelled at his brother.
"I can't help it, sorry." Lo'ak shrugged and started pumping his cock up and down.
Now it was Neteyam's turn to roll his eyes, but his attention instantly went back to you. Just to see your pussys touch.
-
You lowered your hips and joined your pussies. Both of you let out moans, Reyas hips jerked as she was still sensitive. You grabbed onto her thigh and gave a harsh thrust, she gasped and dug her fingers into the ground.
“That feels good.” She bit her lip and threw her head back. You rolled your hips and you both let out shuddered gasps. Sticky obscene noises were coming from your cunts. They were loud, loud enough for the boys to hear.
Neteyam pushed his forehead against a tree trunk and started palming his cock. Watching you take charge was incredibly sexy. It took him back to when you were bouncing on his dick, using him for your own pleasure. He watched your breasts bounce and your jaw slack, he then looked down at your stomach to see it tensing. You were about to cum. Neteyam practically ripped his loin cloth and grabbed his cock immediately. The large mushroom head was leaking lots of pre-cum that he didn’t even have to do anything.
“Tsireya Im gonna cum.” You whined and dug your fingers into her leg. She suddenly sat up and shoved you to the ground so you sat on your ass. She grabbed your leg and collided with your pussies again making a squelching noise.
“Holy fuck.” Groaned Lo’ak and he squeezed the base of his cock before jacking off again. His breathing got harder and the fapping noise got louder. He couldn’t even help but not thrust into his hand, hips continuously jerking.
“Too much.” Tsireya moaned as she slid back and forth on the ground.
“We’re almost there. Fuck.” You leaned forward and grabbed the back of her neck and pulled her towards you to lock lips. Your tongues danced with each other, salvia swapping back and forth.
Neteyam started gasping as his knees shook and he grabbed the tree harshly. He whimpered as he saw you and Tsireya kiss, clearly about to cum. His tip was getting purple as he tried to hold off from cumming until you did.
Tsireya and you squealed and pulled away as you were suddenly splashed with your juices colliding.
Lo’ak spilled into his hand and onto the leaves below him. Neteyam was far off too, his cum shot far, creating a puddle of it. He shuddered and fell against the tree.
“We can’t talk about this.” Said Lo’ak out of breath still jerking himself off.
“A-Agreed.” Neteyam swiped his thumb over the tio making him jerk again.
You fell back, legs still entwined. You both kept rocking your cunts together, small squirts coming out with every thrust. Once you rode it out you stopped and placed a hand over your racing heart.
Your eyes grew heavy and you shut your legs. You were so tired you didn’t hear or feel Tsireya move on top of you. She kissed your neck gently before trailing up to your lips.
“Thank you.” She bit your bottom lip and pulled it. You giggled and nuzzled her cheek.
“No, thank you.” You pecked her lips before she pushed her lips completely on yours. You started to make out again when someone started clapping.
You’ve never moved faster in your life.
Tsireya jumped fat away from you and you scrambled away and brought your knees to your chest.
“That was an amazing show ladies, can I join next time?” You and Tsireya look up in fear to see Lo’ak and behind was Neteyam. He was fixing his loincloth.
Fuck
“Neteyam.” You say and he starts walking towards you, stomping almost. He seemed angry but blissed out, almost made you giggle knowing why. Lo’ak went to Tsireya and bent down in front of her, she looked at him with worry but he pressed his lips to hers. He then pulled away and licked his lips before whispering something in her ear that you couldn’t hear.
“Baby that was so sexy, wish you would tell me so I could watch from the beginning.”
Your chin was suddenly grabbed roughly and you looked up at Neteyam. He was squatting in front of you and had a hard look in the eyes. He then reached and grabbed your braids from the back and pulled you roughly towards him.
“Oh mama, you are in so much trouble.”

A/N: I finished this so last minute lmao. But this is a continuation of my Package Deal fic that I did a while ago. You don't really have to read that first, but you can if you like. I feel like this one is so short, but I still hope you guys enjoy it! All characters are aged up!
Pairing: Lo'ak x Fem!Metkayina!Reader x Tsireya
Warnings: Smut, P in V, Sapphics, Throuple Dynamic, Creampie
Tumblr media
You and Lo’ak sit alone in your shared marui. You’re prepping meat to cook later and he’s working on repairing a knot in his fishing net. There’s a comfortable silence between you which was one of the things that you had grown to love about him.
You finish prepping the food and set it off to the side. From the corner of your eye, you can see Lo’ak struggling a bit with his net. His fingers fumble and tug on the rope and it makes you stifle a small giggle as you move to sit behind him.
“You’re not very good with your hands, are you?” you tease.
He chuckles a bit before quipping back, “That’s not what you were saying the other night.”
You roll your eyes at him with a smirk. “Whatever, forest boy. You’re lucky you’re cute.”
“Oh really?”
Lo’ak shifts his position to turn to you and caresses your face with his hand. It takes a minute for you to realize that your eyes are trained on his lips in anticipation. You only notice when you see him smirk at you and a flush falls over your face.
“Shut up”, you pout making him chuckle at you.
He leans forward and presses his lips against yours and your body completely melts into the kiss. His hands find your hips and he pulls you into his lap so that you’re straddling him. His tewng is tented and poking you right on your clothed cunt that was surely soaking wet by now. Lo’ak lays you down on your back and grinds his hips into yours. His hand snakes down between your bodies to settle right on top of your pussy and rub lazy circles over your covered clit.
Before you can go any further, another voice sounds from the entrance.
“Well, well, look at who’s having fun without me”, Tsireya calls from the front of your shared home.
The three of you have become so accustomed and comfortable with this dynamic that hearing the sudden interruption barely makes either of you bat an eye. Lo’ak barely even bothers to break the kiss when he calls back, “So come join us”.
You can hear her footsteps getting closer to you before her gorgeous face appears in your line of sight. Lo’ak’s fingers never let up on your clit, even when Tsireya turns his face towards her to kiss him.
Breaking their kiss, Tsireya circles around behind you and positions you so that your back is pressed against her chest and your legs are spread open over her own legs. One hand is groping your breast while the other is sliding your tewng to the side to expose your slick cunt. Her lips are next to your ear and she lightly kisses along your neck. “Look at you all worked up, yawne.”
The flush on your face deepens and a small moan escapes your lips. Lo’ak already has his tewng discarded and he’s rubbing his leaking tip through your slick. The slide in is entirely too easy and the stretch is just on the verge of being too much. Your head falls back onto Tsireya’s shoulder while Lo’ak bottoms out inside of you.
“Reya…” you whine to her and a smile settles on her lips.
“Yes, yes, tìyawn. I know.” She captures your lips in a heated kiss where she licks into your mouth. AT the same time, Lo’ak has started rutting into you harshly, unable to hold himself back feeling your tight, wet heat around his cock.
“Oh, fuck, baby. I’m not gonna last long if you keep squeezing me like that”, he groans with the constant wet smack, smack, smack filling the air.
You moan against Tsireya’s mouth and it’s muffled by her tongue in your mouth. Every thrust of his hips punches your sweet spot perfectly. Tsireya’s fingers rub into your sensitive nub causing your mouth to fall open, “Oh, fuck, Reya…”
Lo’ak’s hand finds your face and makes you look at him.
“Call my name when I’m inside you, baby.”
The pressure in your body skyrockets until you’re just about ready to burst. Lo’ak keeps his hold on your face, holding eye contact with you as he chases his high.
“Aahh! Haah! Lo’ak!”
“That’s right, baby. Keep your eyes on me while I fill you up.”
Tsireya licks a long stripe up your neck to your ear and all the stimulation finally has you coming undone pressed between the two of them. Lo’ak isn’t far behind you when he spills his load inside of your fluttering walls.
Your legs tremble and your walls continue to clench and relax around Lo’ak’s dick.
When you finally come down, both your bodies go slack while Tsireya whispers words of praise to both of you.
A look is shared between you and Lo’ak where you exchange no words, but the understanding is clear.
“Don’t think we’re done just yet, Reya.” you say to her.
“We have to make sure you’re taken care of too, don’t we?” Lo’ak says starting to stroke himself slowly.

I was wondering if you could do an aonung fic where him and the reader both like each other but neither of them know how the other feels and loak and tsireya end up getting them to confess to each other. 💜
༊*·˚ maybe he didn’t hate you.
✦ ao’nung x fem!omatikaya! reader
✦ synopsis: ao’nung hasn’t spoken to you and you’re convinced he hates you. in reality, you’re both crushing hard n both too scared to say anything, until tsireya talks to you n lo’ak talks to ao’nung 🤭
Tumblr media
“y/n are you sure?”
“yes tsireya, i don’t like your brother, even if i did theres no way he could like me.” you shrugged, splashing around in the water.
“and why not?” she questioned.
“he’s never even spoke to me. all he does is give me evil glares, and yesterday he called me and kiri skxawng.”
“maybe he makes fun of you because he likes you.” lo’ak smirked.
you splashed him “shut up, aonung isn’t my type anyway.” you crossed your arms.
“i think you might be his though.” tsireya commented, petting her skimwing.
you hesitated, as you saw ao’nung laughing and walking with his friends, he saw your glance and his smile slowly faded as he caught up with them.
he definitely hates me. you thought.
lo’ak swam over to you, sitting on the dock.
“okay, me and ao’nung are okay now.. so, i could ask him if he likes you if you want?” he asked.
“are you actually being nice to me?”
“im serious!”
“well, no thank you. i don’t need rejection right now.”
you’re brother rolled his eyes at your obliviousness and hopped back in the water.
-
you helped tsireya with her chores and talked with the other metkayina people, you had a specific person on your mind though.
“uh, reya?”
“yes y/n?” she smiled.
“where’s ao’nung? just, usually he’s here and it’s a bit late..” you mumbled.
tsireya gave you a look of sympathy and put her things down.
“come.”
you obliged as she dragged you away from the other girls.
“y/n i shouldn’t be telling you this, and do not tell him i told you this because he’d kill me, im not joking.” she said, holding your hands in hers and rolling her eyes when she mentioned getting killed.
“what is it..?” you asked, cautious.
“ao’nung doesn’t hate you, he likes you! he’s never liked anyone so he’s being stupid. i’ve never seen him talk to a girl before so he’s probably nervous.” she shrugged.
you blinked and got flustered, smiling big.
“tsireya, are you sure?”
“yes, he’s with lo’ak and the others in the sea, if you want to see him.” she winked, letting go of your hands and joining her friends.
-
you bit your lip and mentally prepared yourself, you saw ao’nung alone in the water. tsireya was wrong, now it was just the two of you and you were more nervous than before.
“ao’nung?”
he came out from under the water and his gaze softened. “hi..”
you smiled, remembering what tsireya told you. you made your way into the water and swam to him. “where were you today?”
he tilted his head and furrowed his brows “why?” he asked.
“i don’t know, i was worried. you didn’t come to swimming lessons and you weren’t at your marui.”
“you were worried about me?” he asked, almost like you told the biggest lie in the world.
“yes!” you answered.
he looked anywhere but at you and sighed. “i was with lo’ak a couple minutes ago and the whole day we were just pissing around. good?”
“better.” you answered, laughing.
his heart fluttered at the sound of your laugh and he hated it. he didn’t know how to process his feelings at all.
“i like your laugh.” he mumbled.
“sorry?” you questioned, obviously you heard him.
“you heard me.” he groaned.
“no! i didn’t, tell me again!” you said, splashing him.
“cut it out!” he laughed, splashing you back.
after your shared laugh, it got quiet again and you two just stared into each other’s eyes. it wasn’t awkward, it was kinda safe
“im in love with you.” he admitted. he realized what came out of his mouth and his eyes widened. he began to swim to shore.
“ao’nung i love you too.” you said, grabbing his arm.
“you’re being serious?” he asked, his lips curving into a smile.
“yes.” you answered, swimming closer to him.
“good.. because if you weren’t i would have to kill your brother.” he said.
“wait wh-”
he cut you off by cupping your face and meeting your lips with his. the kiss was passionate but also needy, you wrapped your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss.
maybe he didn’t hate you.

being the only human that the sully’s brought after they left the forest was certainly a big shock to the metkayina people. they were confused, scared, and angry at the sully’s for bringing a demon that could potentially be the downfall of their clan. despite the reassurance that y/n was born on pandora and didn’t come from earth doesn’t change the fact that she was human.
what helped a bit as she is able to breathe the air of pandora when humans would die mere seconds without the mask, but that doesn’t change the fact that she’s a sky person. by tonowari’s kind heart, she was able to stay with the sully’s and learn how the ways of the metkayina.
it was hard. for a 5’2ft human, how was she supposed to swim just as fast as 10ft tall na’vi’s? she can’t tame an ilu since she doesn’t have any queue to use to bond with the animals in pandora. well, it doesn’t matter so long as she rides with her honorary siblings when they need to travel through the water.
during their stay, she unknowingly caught the eyes of a certain metkayina woman. sweet tsireya, younger sister of ao’nung, youngest daughter of the olo’eyktan and tsahik.
tsireya was curious about y/n. how was a human able to breathe pandora air? didn’t they wear masks in order to breathe? did she come from the star or was she born here? do humans wear the same thing as na’vi’s or do they dress up differently?
so many questions that only that human can answer. but how can she approach y/n? she can’t guarantee that y/n’s safe enough to have a chat with but seeing how the sully kids interact with the human, maybe it won’t be a bad thing.
it was training day with the sully’s and y/n was going to practice with them. she won’t be able to hold her breath as long but she tries her best. tsireya can see that and is happy that y/n was learning how to live like her people.
when tsireya saw that y/n was struggling, she swam toward her and helped her keep her head above the water. y/n coughed out the water that came into her mouth while tsireya pats her back to help and comfort the small creature.
“are you okay, tiny paysyul?” the metkayina asked softly, her round eyes full of concern for y/n. once y/n was able to take a deep breath, she nods her head signaling that she was okay. “are you sure?” “yes. thank you so much, reya.” y/n pats tsireya’s arm as a thank you before the na’vi lets her go.
once tsireya had a reasonable distance from her, y/n turned around and her eyes widen and her nose flared, feeling her heart race fast as her mind registered what just happened. neteyam and kiri snorted at the interaction while lo’ak laughs his stomach out. y/n turns to them and snarls before they return back to their training.
ao’nung rolls his eyes as he swam next to his sister. “what was just that?” he asked with a scoff. he hopes it was not what he thinks it is. “just helping a friend out.” tsireya said, not noticing how her voice had a dreamy tone. well, it is what he thinks it is.
Tumblr media
everyone had headed off back to their mauri besides y/n, who wanted to stroll for a bit before eating dinner. “you’re just going to see tsireya~” lo’ak says while wiggling his eyebrows before making kissy noises. neteyam and kiri laughed at their brother’s actions while y/n blushed furiously, her cheeks becoming red.
“shut up you skxawng!! i will shove sand down your throat!” y/n screams while punching the bigger na’vi. kiri pulled y/n off of lo’ak before she could actually shove sand down his throat. “just come back before dinner, alright sis?” neteyam gives her a pat on the shoulder before motioning the rest of the sully kids to go home.
y/n walked towards the shore, grabbing some washed-up shells and pearls to give to tuk. maybe she can make a necklace too for a certain someone while she’s at it.
when y/n couldn't hold enough, she sat by the ocean to take a breather before going home. although she missed the forest, this was a nice change of scenery. the beauty of the reef has its own perk just as the forest has its own.
"what has captured the little paysyul's attention that she hasn't come back home with the sully's?" tsireya's sweet voice filled y/n's ears, a smile growing on her face. "hello to you too, miss tsireya." y/n does the 'i see you' motion, the metkayina returning the same gesture, before sitting down beside the human.
"i just wanted to walk around. i also saw some pearls and shells to give tuk. she wanted to make new necklaces and i wanted to help her gather them." she nods towards the pile of pearls and shells, a purplish blue pearl snuggled between her fingers as she used it as a fidget toy.
tsireya hums in response, and a comfortable silence between the two. "i'm sure you can make beautiful accessories back in the forest." tsireya says softly while her hand plays with the water in front of them.
"i'm wearing some of what i made back at home!" y/n exclaims happily as she moves closer to tsireya to show them. stories of how y/n gathered the materials to make the necklace and anklet while explaining the significance of each one.
tsireya listened intently, happy that somehow, she was getting to know this tiny but beautiful being. maybe the questions she had in mind can wait to be asked in the future. for now, this is enough.
Tumblr media
hearing each other's stories about their homes and lives made the metkayina and human grow closer. despite living differently, they're similar in their own ways.
gifts became a norm for the two, having at least a small trinket to give before the day ends. it was mostly rings, something y/n had told tsireya the significance of back on earth.
tsireya loved the thought of rings. a sign of promise between two people who will eventually spend the rest of their lives until death.
the thought of marrying y/n had made her heart beat fast. she didn't mind that they wouldn't be able to mate before the eyes of eywa. in fact, the rings might as well be what bonds them for life! so long as she gets to call y/n hers.
y/n had invited tsireya to another walk on the shore. for a while, they weren't able to hang out due to tsireya having lessons with her mom while y/n had her own lessons with the sully's.
they walked for a bit before settling into their usual spot. they brought out the little gift they had made and gave them to one another. this is the 19th ring they have exchanged with each other.
“this is so beautiful!” tsireya exclaimed with excitement as she examined the ring. it had a pearl with an orange tinge with yellow accents when reflected on a certain angle. what held the ring together was some sort of twig then hardened with clay, pieces of shells sprinkled around to reflect shimmers. “i was able to put it on fire so you can use this ring while swimming.” y/n rubbed the back of her neck.
tsireya immediately wore the ring and continued to admire the ring. “this is by far THE best ring ever. thank you so much!” tsireya holds y/n’s hand and gives it a squeeze.
y/n blushed. the metkayina in front of her was so, so beautiful. the ring couldn’t compare to her beauty. nothing else can compare. she reaches out to cup tsireya’s face, the universe held in the pools of her blue eyes.
the comfort between the two was disturbed when they heard ronal’s voice. their eyes widen and they pulled away but it’s too late. the tsahik saw the interaction, anger filling her veins. “what is this?!” ronal walks up to the two and pulled tsireya off the ground.
“we just exchanged some gifts, tsahik.” y/n says, her head down because she can’t look at the older na’vi. ronal glares at the human before looking at her daughter, "you are to never speak to this human. you may continue to teach her our ways, but you are forbidden to speak to them outside the lessons. understood?" tsireya's ears flattened against. "i said, understood?" taireya nods, before ronel pulls her daughter away from y/n.
y/n stood there, the last ring she may as well get from tsireya between her fingers. she brought it up to her lips, a kiss that will never be shared before she goes back to the sully's mauri.
Tumblr media
the following weeks were torture for both tsireya and y/n. although y/n accepted the fact that she will never have the chance because of their differences, tsireya believes otherwise. if jake sully, a former sky person now na'vi, was loved by another na'vi, why can't she and y/n?
eywa is a giving mother, a goddess who accepts those who open their hearts. if they can show eywa that what they feel for each other is true, maybe they can have a chance.
but tsireya has one chance to do this, to make things right. she just had to do what her brother does; sneak out during an ungodly hour. it’s out of her character, but she will do it for y/n.
when everybody was asleep, she quietly sneaks out, only to be met by her older brother on the way out. “you know, mom will eventually find out.” he says softly. tsireya thought for a moment before shaking her head. “i would rather take this chance than never try at all.” she looks up to be met by ao’nung looking at her with a smile. “go get her.”
with a smile, she leaves the mauri to go to the sully’s.
upon arriving. she looks through the rooms where the sully’s sleeps. she peaked to see if y/n was there, only to not see her figure. tsireya was confused. where was y/n? why is she out so late?
she walked to their usual spot, y/n wasn’t there. huh. maybe by the rocks? she wasn’t also there. the forest! she might be there. y/n mentioned once to tsireya that she goes to the forest when everything feels too overwhelming.
walking in the forest, she studies the plants she passed by. tsireya remembers how y/n taught her about the plants and little wildlife that pass them by.
upon arriving at where y/n usually stays, she sees a figure sitting by the stream. suddenly, she felt nervous. she was actually doing this. this is now or never. tsireya walked closer to y/n and sat down beside her, a good space between the two.
“it’s so late, tsireya. you should be asleep.” y/n mutters while playing with the fish in the stream. “i should be telling you that.” tsireya says, a chuckle leaving her mouth as the corners curved up.
when she didn’t see y/n react, tsireya moved closer but not too close to where their skins were touching. “look, i know what my mom said awhile back but that doesn’t change the way i feel.”
y/n looks up at the na’vi, her eyebrows furrowed. “your mom is right though. let’s not hurt each other by doing this.” tsireya didn’t budge on how y/n’s tone was. “well, we haven’t tried, haven’t we?” the metkayina offered her hand to the human. y/n takes her hand, warming both tsireya’s cheeks and heart.
“i know getting my mom's approval won’t come easily. i know everyone's view will see this as out of the ordinary. i know that because you’re human, we won’t be able to mate in the eyes of eywa. but, i believe in destiny. i believe that eywa has given us someone and that someone to me is you.”
tsireya stares at y/n’s eyes, one that is full of life, full of love, and full of curiosity. she would do anything and everything just to keep those eyes on her.
“i see you.” she whispers, just for y/n to hear. y/n’s heart beats fast. this is actually happening. but what about the metkayina clan? what were they going to think? what about the sully’s? what about her family? what are they going to think about this?
“hey, look at me.” tsireya says, pulling y/n out of her thoughts. “don’t think of anyone or anything else. it’s just you and me here.” she leans down to rest her forehead against y/n’s.
y/n takes a deep breath before saying the same words that tsireya had longed to hear from her. “i see you, ma tsireya.” the dam that held back tsireya’s tears broke. happiness poured out of the two as they finally hugged each other after weeks of staying away from each other.
“we need to make those rings. the ones that humans use to bind the couple.” tsireya says while holding y/n’s tiny form. “of course, ma tsireya. we’ll make those wedding rings. just for us.”
they shared a kiss only the forest will see. just because they’re different doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try.

drabble!found you’ lo’ak sully
Tumblr media
mdni!! just masturbation really.
your hands lazily picked and pulled at the flowers you needed to make kiri and tuk new top’s with.
metkayina women often wore different clothing from different navi clans and some of the material were made from flowers.
“reya’ im getting tired, finish these for me?” you yawned holding the basket out towards your sister, she agreed taking the basket from your hands mimicking what you were doing.
you dusted the dirt off your knees and swiped any thing else that landed on you in the being. “oh! before you go, give this to lo’ak.” she spoke reaching in her hunters bag reveal a necklace with a ‘moon’ on it.
you nodded with a smile in her direction before heading towards the village home’s.
you arrived being in sight with kiri, neteyam, tuk, your bother, and his friend; rotxo.you approached them as they teached the forest kids your other language besides the na’vi language.
sign language or as neteyam calls it, ‘finger talk’. “hello everyone!” you smiled big greeting them pulling your fingers to your forehead signing ‘i see you’ as they did the same back.
you sat down joining in on the lesson when you noticed something, someone was missing, oh! lo’ak.you looked around seeing if he was coming from a distance but you saw nothing.
“sorry to interrupt but, where is lo’ak?” you kindly interrupted, neteyam scratched his head also looking around now realizing his brother was missing while kiri and tuk shrugged.
“we do not know, probably somewhere swinging through trees.” ao’nung joked causing laughter to erupt from rotxo, the sully’s rolled their eyes at the horrible insult and you just gave him a slap upside the head.
“ao’nung.” you scolded your immature brother, he rubbed where you hit doing a ‘what’ gesture at your action knowing he was wrong.
you rolled your eyes, barely hissing at him.
“check his hut, maybe he’s in there.” kiri suggested, you nodded letting out a quick ‘thank you’ before standing up and heading the directed way.
as you stood in front of his hut, you hadn’t entered yet because you abruptly stopped at the sounds you heard coming from inside.groans and whimpers
a first you thought he was hurting cause before you were directly in front of the door, the faint noises could be heard.
you peeked through the hut getting a perfect view of lo’ak who had his back against the wall stroking his wide, grithy cock barely being able close his hand fully around it.
his eyes screwed shut as small sweat droplets trickled down from his forehead, chasing his orgasm by hungrily thrusting into his fist.
“s-shit y/n, just like that baby.” he whimpered licking his lips pumping his purple leaking tip sloppy meaning he was close, he opened his eyes for a split second to spit on his hand leaving a spit trail from his mouth before continuing to squeeze and thrust into his hand.
he hadn’t even noticed that you were now fully inside his hut pressing your thighs together wanting to feel something in your desperate cunt, you were completely drenched at the sight, totally mind blown that lo’ak was thinking about while jerking his cock.
“fuck, i’m c-cumming y/n.. shit!” he groaned, moaning your name planting both his feet up on the cot rapidly pumping his rock hard cock as loads of his white sticky cum shot from his tip landing all over his hands.
he rode out his high coming down with a huff, you rubbed and flicked your cunt increasing the speed when you felt your stomach twist into knots, you literally had to do something you felt like you were gonna come on sight without even touching yourself.
your hand was slapped over your mouth muffling your moans and whines hoping that lo’ak didn’t hear you, but he did.
his head shot up quickly but it was too late, you gasped detaching your hand from your dripping cunt loosing your orgasm.
“i’m sorry.” you whimpered pulling your loincloth up from your ankles, feeling now embarrassed but lo’ak quickly rushed over to you grabbing your hands stopping you from walking away.
“don’t be mama, that was hot.” he smirked towering over you, his once again hard cock grazed against your toned stomach, you took a step forward to where it was now laying against it.
“you gonna help me get off again, pretty girl?” he teased your nipples, you shivered at the sudden touch, and whimpered at the overwhelming feeling.
“y-yes lo’ak.” you whined swiping your tongue across your lips and reaching to lift your top up further so he had more access to your beautiful breast.
“c’mere.”
a/n : bye this so ass, i’m sorry y’all 🙏🏽 this kind of like a filler bcs i don’t have nooooooooooo motivation for that other fic like it makes no sense. send in requests tho!! didn’t really proof read .. oops.

Sweetheart it's okay.
pairing: neteyam sully x fem!reader
word count: 6.2k
theme: angst
warning: death, blood, guns, (let me know if i missed anything!)
Tumblr media
Me, lo'ak, tuk and tsireya were tied up on the ship. I didn't know what to do. We were all freaking out. How could I let this happen? I'm the oldest here. I am supposed to take care of everyone, and not let them get killed. This was all my fault.
"We're gonna die. We're gonna die." Tsireya kept repeating, "reya stop," I said. "We're not gonna die." She needed to stop fucking talking because it was freaking me out even more.
"How do u know that?!" She screamed at me.
"BOTH OF YOU. SHUT UP" lyle screamed as he pushed his gun against my head. Tuk started sobbing. How? How could I let such a little child get into danger like this? Lo'ak was just quiet the whole time. Zoned out. Just looking at his dad who's about to sacrifice himself.
"What's it gonna be?" Quaritch said through the earpiece he stole from lo'ak. Jake slowly started swimming towards the ship. "Easy shot" lyle said as he pointed his gun to jake, "no. Wait until he's on board" quaritch said as he tapped lyles shoulder.
Suddenly, out of no where. Payakan jumped on the boat. Everyone started shooting at him, but no bullet could go through his thick skin. Everyone from our clan started swimming towards the ship. Ready to fight.
Everyone suddenly started going after jake and the rest of the clan, leaving me, lo'ak, tuk and reya alone. So many things were all happening at once. People shooting. People dying. People drowning. And we were just stuck on the ship, not being able to do anything about it.
The ship suddenly went over a rock, flying upwards. Water started flooding the ship. "Is everyone okay?" Lo'ak asked worried looking at us all. "NO WE'RE GONNA DIE." tsireya screamed.
someone jumped on the ship, "neteyam!" Tuk said as she smiled. "Don't worry guys. Ur not gonna die" he said as he bent down to untie tuk and tsireya "reya, get tuk outta here" he said. Tsireya nodded as jumped on their ilu to swim away. "Cmon hurry up bro" lo'ak said.
"Y/n are you okay?" He said with a worried look on his face as he scanned ur body for wounds "I'm fine neteyam, let's just get outta here" he cut me loose as, and then scooted over to lo'ak.
"Cmon let's go" neteyam said, we were about to jump off before walked over to a body to grab a gun. "Lo'ak what are you doing?" I said as I walked back to Lo'ak.
"They've got spider, we've gotta get him." Me and neteyam looked worried at eachother. I nodded as we both followed Lo'ak to get spider.
We were just a few feet away from spider and some humans, the humans seemed to protect him with guns. "How are we gonna get him when he's surrounded by guns?" I whispered. "Don't worry, they're small humans. We're fucking navis" lo'ak said as he walked a little bit closer. He was talking about our size. But that doesn't matter when they have guns that can kill us in an instant.
Lo'ak and neteyam ran to them, "GUYS STOP." I screamed as they ran. But ofcourse they didn't stop. So stupid. Neteyam stabbed one in his back, as lo'ak shot one in his leg. Spider saw what they were doing, so he hit the last one with his elbow. I was still standing around the corner, shocked how they just killed people.
The one that spider hit was laying on the ground, he slowly started to get up trying to shoot them. They all didn't notice it, but I did. I saw a gun laying down next to me and a dead body. I grabbed the gun as I shot the person laying on the ground.
Oh. My. Eywa.
I just killed someone.
I dropped the gun to the ground as all three of the boys looked at me. I started to tear up. Neteyam ran to me as he layed his hand on my cheek, "hey, sweetheart it's okay. You did it to protect us." I was still sobbing looking at his dead body.
"We need to get outta here. Now." Lo'ak said as he pointed to an avatar standing around the corner with a gun.
Neteyam pushed me behind a corner to protect me from the gun. I started breathing heavily as I heard alot of gunshots. Neteyam looked around the to see what was happening. Lo'ak shot him. He almost got shot himself, but he protected us.
We both ran to lo'ak again, "Okay. We really gotta get out of here rn" lo'ak said as he turned around to run at the edge of the ship.
"Wait so we're just gonna jump off the ship?" I asked as I looked over the edge. "We will land in the water baby, its gonna be okay" neteyam said as he placed his hand on my shoulder.
I suddenly heard someone move a few feet away. I turned around as I saw someone with a gun. And then I felt the bullet hit my stomach and dropped behind me in the water.
~~~
Y/n fell in the water as lo'ak and neteyam yelled her name. "Y/N!" they screamed in sync. She slowly started to sink to the bottom trying to keep her head up, but she wasn't strong enough. Lo'ak and neteyam dived into the water, neteyam swam to her and pulled her up to the surface.
As her head came to the surface, she started choking on the water. "SHIT" lo'ak cursed as he tried to get an ilu. No ilu was coming, but tsireya came on her ilu.
"What happened?" She asked as she got of her ilu to let neteyam on it.
"Y/n got shot" he said with tears dripping down his face. He got on the ilu with her in his arms, bridal style.
Lo'ak and tsireya held on the ilu on both sides as they swam with the ilu. They arrived at a big stone in the sea and they quickly ran up so that neteyam could lay her down on the rocks.
Neteyam quickly put pressure on the wound while she was having trouble breathing. All of the kids that surrounded y/n started sobbing.
Jake came running to the kids sitting on the ground. "What happened?" He said as he sat on his knees next to y/n. He removed neteyams hands and turned y/n over as he looked to see if the bullet went through. It did. There was no way to save her. She was loosing to much blood.
Jake put pressure on the wound again as neteyam put his hands on her cheeks.
"n-neteyam" She tried to speak but she was choking on her words.
"Sweetheart its okay." he said also choking on his words and sobbing in pain,
"i-i see you neteyam" She said as her vision started slipping away and her body trembling.
"I see you y/n. Please don't leave me" he said as he placed sweet kisses on her forehead.
She started choking on her blood, "n-neteyam i"
He had her and in his hand as he felt her slip away, her grip slowly letting go of his hand.
As her final breath was taken away.
3 years
3 years passed since Neteyam died in the last battle, 3 years passed since Quaritch died, shot again by an arrow.
3 years passed without humans on the way.
The grief took over the family for a year, then they had to move on.
Life was good now, Neteyam was missed dearly, but he now was in peace.
Lo'ak and Tsireya started official court, Tuk started training, Kiri decided to return to the forest and continue her training as Tsahìk, Spider, even if slowly was becoming a warrior for the sea clan.
Jake and Neytiri some how moved on, day wasn't passed without them going to check on their forever teen son.
But eventually they calmed down, even apologise to Spider.
Welcomed him into the family, and he slowly became an official part of it, growing strangely close to Neytiri.
She lost a son, he never had a mother, they needed the comfort of one another.
Still he didn't call her mom, but there was time, they had all the time in their life.
Until...
Tuk, Lo'ak and Spider spent all morning togheter.
They played with the water, swimmed, draw on the sand and so so much more.
Now they were laying on the soft sand, now colder and not hot.
Watching as the sun flew down and the sky became of an unnatural natural shape of orange.
Spider was in peace, this is all he ever hoped for.
Being accept, having a family to call his own, a father and a mother, siblings.
Although...
There was one thing he missed more than everything.
Neteyam.
His first friend, died because of him.
In 3 years everyone who visited him said to Spider how Neteyam's soul was not angry at him.
But he wanted to hear it from him...
The thought of never seeing Neteyam again...
Everyone could but not him, that wasn't fair, that was dishonest, this was mad-
But also will of the mother, if she wanted him to see Neteyam, he would have been born with a normal body, and not a pink tiny one.
The sun was now fully dissapering, and the bioluminescence was appearing.
"Guys!" Tsireya happy voice was heard, making Lo'ak jump up.
He greeted her with a kiss, which made Tuk do a disgusted sound.
"Reya, you should totally upper you standards" she said, making Tsireya chuckles and Lo'ak mad at his baby sister.
Spider close his eyes when they started to yell at one another.
So goddamn similar to eachother.
...
...
...
Something was wrong...
Spider felt wrong.
Breathing was hard.
His eyes didn't want to open.
What was happening?!
What the f-
"Spider"
...
Spider forgot about this voice, Something he never wanted to admit out loud but made him cry for months.
But this...this was Neteyam voice!
Spider eyes were close but he could feel Neteyam sitting next to him.
"Dude" he said, Spider couldn't reply, like his lips were glue togheter.
"It's been a while" Neteyam said, as he played a little with Spider's locks.
Why was Neteyam there? Was this a dream?
"I need to bring you there, a direct order" he continued
Oh
As a tear fell off Spider cheek, he gave the other a smile.
He could feel Neteyam taking his oxygen mask off.
Although he could also still feel it but that feeling was faitinig away.
He finally open his eyes again, Neteyam next to him smiling happily at the boy.
Spider sit up right and he finally after so long hugged Neteyam.
"She wants you there personally, she loves you so much i swear, she can't stop talking about you" Neteyam said in the hug.
As they pull away, Spider looked at his friends and siblings.
Tuk and Lo'ak still yelling at eachother meanwhile Tsireya tried to calm them.
"What about them?" He asked, and Neteyam's face was longing.
He wished to remain there for them too.
But this wasn't how the mother wanted.
"They will go on, they're strong" he said.
He offered a hand for standing up, which Spider kindly accepted, he was now standing.
He chuckles when he noticed that he was somehow teller then Neteyam.
' must be a dead thing '
"Ohh shut up" Neteyam said without even letting him start.
With the same hand, he helped Spider step out of his physical body.
Who was now resting in peace, soon to be laid with the ancestors.
Hand in hand they walked in the forest.
"Don't turn away to face them, that would only hurt more" Neteyam said, tightening his grip on Spider's hand.
In the distance there was Tuk, who scream that Spider couldn't breath.
Another few steps and a cold bloody scream came from behind them.
"There's also a human woman waiting for you" Neteyam said, grinning at Spider.
"My...?" Neteyam nodded immediately.
Waiting for them a latin woman, with a shine smile on her face she said hello to her son.
Hugging him tightly when he arrived.
"Come my son, she been waiting for you"
And them three walked away, leaving behind an horrific scene.
Of two parents loosing both young sons in less then five years.
everything i need is right here
Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairing: platonic!sully children x fem!reader, bestfriend!tsireya x fem!reader + a brief ao'nung appearance (can be read as gn)
summary: you are an ilu riding instructor in the Metkayina clan, looking forward to spending your one day off relaxing on your own. However, the arrival of some new Na'vi changes your plans - especially when your best friend is determined to get to know them
word count: 4.3k (this is the longest fic i've ever posted!)
warnings: none! there's some use of asshole and skxawng, but it's all completely platonic fluffy-ness! also, not completely proof read and the ending kinda sucks, as per usual
a/n: i'm so proud of this fic! i think it's one of the best things i've written. also, it's very self indulgent, i just want to be best friends with all of them 😭. i also plan on posting more metkayina!reader, i've got some stuff sitting in the drafts that i'm so excited to share with all of you. hope you like this one!
Tumblr media
The warm glow of Pandora’s sun basked down on your face, your body pressed against your ilu, one leg hanging off the side of its body as you floated through the water along its back. Your eyes were shut softly as you drifted in and out of your thoughts, you felt truly at peace, nothing but yourself and the crystalline waters that rocked and swayed against you.
Without warning, there was a loud splash, followed by a shower of ocean water raining down on you. You gasped as you shot up from your equally as startled ilu, only to be met with the face of a familiar Metkayina girl. She had one of her hands covering her mouth to stifle her laughter, another hand helping her tread the water to stay afloat.
“Reya, you skxawng!” you hissed, playfully splashing water back at your best friend.
How foolish of you to think you could get a moment's silence.
She laughed at your reaction, which made you giggle with her too, but she quickly beckoned both of you to fall into silence. “You are needed,” she informed you, a playful grin still present on her face.
A low groan escaped you, “no, today is my day off.”
You along with Tsireya were instructors of the Awa’atlu village for the younger children. She was a free-diving instructor, meanwhile you were an ilu riding instructor. The both of you had been inseparable since birth as your fathers were close friends, and both of you had decided at a young age that no matter what you did, you’d do it together.
Tsireya tsked, shaking her head playfully, “sorry, but there has been a change of plans, we have visitors.”
What? That’s when you noticed the presence of four other Na’vi children swimming towards you and Tsireya. They looked to be around your age, but they were definitely not from Awa’atlu, or any of the Metkayina clans at all for that matter.
While you couldn’t tell their exact ages, the one who seemed to be the oldest boy introduced himself first. “Kaltxì,” He said, with a small wave.
You waved back as Tsireya introduced them to you. "This is Neteyam," she said, motioning to the boy who had waved at you, then to the one next to him, "this is Lo'ak," then to the eldest and youngest girls, "and this is Kiri and Tuk”.
“Kaltxì,” you greeted back at them. “You.. are forest Na’vi?” you questioned, noting their darker, more blue skin and their thin arms and tails.
“Yeah, no shit.” Lo’ak scoffed, a too-confident smirk resting on his face.
You rolled your eyes at him, but Neteyam whacked the back of his brother's head before you could make a witty comeback. "Use your manners," he chastised. Kiri rolled her eyes at her brothers before silently apologising to you; you laughed it off and motioned for her not to worry.
Tsireya giggled at the brother’s antics and smiled shyly at Lo’ak, which was much unlike her - usually if one of her own brother’s friends had said something stupid and ignorant like that she’d groan and swim off.
You brushed it off for now, continuing your conversation, “If you are forest Na’vi, why are you here?”
“They seek uturu,” Tsireya informed you, “their father is Toruk Makto.”
Oh, you tried to suppress your surprise at the statement but you couldn’t help yourself. Almost all Na’vi children of your age grew up listening to the stories of Toruk Makto, how he had eradicated the sky people from Pandora all those years ago, leading the Na’vi to great victory.
You snapped yourself out of your thoughts and back into the current moment, you didn’t want to keep these newcomers waiting. “So, you want help learning how to ride ilu?” you asked, sliding off your own gorgeous ilu and running your hands along it’s back.
They all nodded.
“Okay then. Come, we don’t want to waste time.”
The six of you had gathered along the shallow banks of the Awa’atlu village, and somehow in the time between when you had gone to gather some ilu saddles and returned, Kiri had disappeared. The boys had told you not to worry, and that she had only gone off to explore the reef.
A small crowd of Ao’nung’s friends had also seemed to gather around to watch the Sully children ride their first ilu.
You rested the saddles down on a sandy bank, before wading into the water where the ilu were tossing and turning as they played with each other.
“These here are the ilu,” you told them as one swam past and brushed against your leg. “They are playful, but not hard to tame. If you want to live here, you must learn to ride them.”
The same ilu swam back around to greet you, affectionately rubbing its head against you to earn your attention. You gave the ilu a soft pat, before turning back to the Sully children. Lo’ak seemed to already be warming up to one of the more affectionate ilu, and you could tell the young Tuk was eager to get in the water and away from where she was resting on Neteyam’s hip. You had already found yourself becoming fond of the young Omaticaya girl, she was both incredibly endearing and knowledgeable.
“Come, Neteyam,” you beckoned for both him and Tuk to follow you.
You then turned to Lo’ak before saying, "Lo'ak, Tsireya will instruct you." Out of the corner of your eye, you spotted Tsireya trying her hardest to suppress a giddy smile. You weren't oblivious to her rapidly blossoming crush, as much as she probably hoped you were. You had always known Reya to be one to fall fast.
Neteyam set Tuk down next to him before wading through the water after you, following you a bit further away from where Tsireya was with Lo’ak. “I apologise for my brother,” he said, for probably the fifth time already.
“You are very good at apologising,” you teased him, as you called for an ilu. “But please, do not be sorry - you should see what I have to put up with from Ao’nung.”
He let out a breathy laugh as his hand skimmed across the ilu’s skin. Tuk was not far behind him, and when she finally caught up, you helped her sit on a rocky outcrop above the water.
“The ilu are our friends,” you told them, as you fastened a saddle around the ilu, it chirped playfully at your touch, as if it was being tickled. Tuk laughed in delight at the sound.
You reached for Neteyam’s hand, placing it onto the saddle’s harness. “Hold here,” you told him, but before he could even get on the ilu you noticed that Tsireya was already getting Lo’ak to make the bond.
“Wait,” you paused, pointing to where Lo’ak and Tsireya were, “we have to see this.”
You waded back around the ilu until you had a clear view of the group. You watched as Lo’ak took a deep breath, and before another word could be spoken, he was off. You watched his shadow from above the water’s surface, and you could already tell that it wasn’t going to end well for him. Alas, you were right. Mere seconds later, Lo’ak was sent tumbling off his ilu and the bond was broken.
He resurfaced above the water with a gasp, wiping the water out of his eyes with his hands. Ao’nung and his friends break into a fit of laughter at the sight, “he is like a fish out of water! - except he is in the water.”
You rolled your eyes as hard as you could possibly will yourself, you would never understand why so many of the Metkayina girls were obsessed with him. Ao’nung was nothing short of an asshole and his jokes weren’t even funny.
Tsireya chuckled softly as Lo’ak stood up and walked back towards them. Meanwhile, Neteyam did not hold back his loud laugh. “You okay, baby bro?” he called out to his younger brother, hands cupping his mouth like a megaphone to make sure that Lo’ak could hear. Lo’ak didn’t even spare his brother a second glance before he flipped him off, which made you burst out into laughter.
“You two are too mean to each other,” Tuk huffed, crossing her arms as kicked her feet softly in the air.
You turned back to the ilu and shook your head, a warm smile still on your face. “Come Neteyam, it is your turn.”
Neteyam mounted the ilu again, placing one hand on the harness where you had told him to before, as you handed him the ilu’s queue so he could make the bond. “Feel the bond, Neteyam,” you said as he reached behind his back to pull out his braid, “when you are bonded remember you are one being. Feel the ilu’s heartbeat, it’s breathing. Trust it completely.”
The boy nodded his head as he took the ilu’s queue from your hand and attached it to his own. Neteyam seized up a little when the ilu went rigid underneath him. “Relax,” you reminded him, and as he did, so did the ilu.
Lo’ak, Tsireya and Ao’nung’s group of friends were making their way towards you and Neteyam, ready to watch the second brother try his hand at ilu riding.
“Trust the bond,” you reminded him as you swam backwards slowly until you were next to the rocky outcrop where Tuk was sitting. Neteyam nodded once at you, before he took a large breath - and he was off. The ilu dove right into the water, you ducked down so your face was submerged to get a better look. Tsireya, Tuk and the other boys did the same.
You couldn’t believe it. Neteyam seemed to be an absolute natural. While he still looked like he was getting thrown around when the ilu cut sharp corners, he was managing to hang on quite well. When Neteyam broke through the water, you resurfaced along with the others.
“You did it!” you shouted, “that was amazing!”
Neteyam was wearing a million-dollar-smile, clearly very proud of himself, even Tuk was clapping and cheering for him.
“Nice one big bro,” Lo’ak congratulate as Neteyam rode the ilu until he was closer to their group, “you can now add ilu riding to the list of things you are perfect at.”
You snorted, “I was wondering when the witty comment would hit.” and for the first time since you had met him, you saw Lo’ak smile properly, a big wide grin on his face. It suited him.
Neteyam just rolled his eyes playfully. “No need to be jealous, little one.” He mocked, messing up his brother’s hair as he said it.
“Don’t worry Lo’ak, with my help you’ll be an ilu riding prodigy in no time.” You declared proudly, “I think Tsireya should stick to her breathing exercises.”
Your best friend scoffed at your antics, “my way of teaching is just different from yours!”
“Yes, sister,” Ao’nung starts, “and clearly one is better than the other.”
The Metkayina boys started laughing wildly, and it didn’t take much for their laughs to turn contagious. Even Tsireya couldn’t help but chuckle. Okay, maybe sometimes Ao’nung was funny.
Once you had managed to control your own laughter and level your breathing, you were reminded that Tuk still hadn’t had her turn at riding the ilu. “Okay I think it’s Tuk’s turn,” you said, turning to the young Omaticaya girl who now adorned a face of pure excitement.
You bent your knees as you motioned for her to hop on your back, “come Tuk, I want to show you something.” Tuk quickly clambered onto your back, wrapping her arms around your shoulders as you carried her to where the marui pods hung between the large mangrove roots hovered above the ocean. You felt Tsireya’s presence not far behind you, and when you turned to face your friend, you also caught sight of Lo’ak remounting an ilu behind her, accompanied by his brother who was too proud to get off on his own. The two of them dove into the water together, and it occurred to you that they were trying to have a race.
Finally, you reached the bouncy walkways that connected the marui together. You set Tuk down in the water as you reached for a tall rattan basket that was sitting on the walkway. Its width was decorated in intricate wave-like designs. As soon as you took the basket off the walkway and passed it back to Tsireya, two ilu had already come to join you, chirping and clicking joyfully at the familiar scent that wafted from the basket.
Tsireya broke into a smile when a particularly playful ilu tried nudging the basket out of her grip. She clicked her tongue before shaking her head, “not yet.”
You called for Tuk to come closer and join you as Tsireya handed her a small fish from inside the basket. “Give it to the ilu,” you told Tuk. The Omaticaya girl didn’t even hesitate as she dropped the fish in the ilu’s waiting mouth, it snapped up and swallowed the fish quickly. Tuk laughed joyfully, before patting the ilu’s head and cupping its face. “I love her already!” she squealed, making both you and Tsireya smile widely.
“Would you like to ride her?” asked Tsireya.
Tuk nodded her head vigorously, “yes!”
“I think you should leave the ilu instructing to me,” you joked as you helped Tuk onto the ilu. Tsireya scoffed and shoved your shoulder playfully making you smile again for what felt like the thousandth time that day.
Tuk took the ilu’s queue that you passed to her, quickly attaching it to her own. Her excitement was evident on her face as she wasted no time in making the bond. She held on tightly to the ilu’s harness, the same way you had taught Neteyam to. Tuk was observant, you noted.
You and Tsireya both called your ilu quickly, mounting them before the three of you dove into the crystalline waters. Tsireya took the lead as she manoeuvred her ilu through the reef, leading both you and Tuk through underwater archways and forests of coral. You yourself were no stranger to these parts of the ocean, but the wide-eyed awe that you saw on Tuk’s face filled you with warmth. It reminded you of the first time you had ever rode your own ilu with Tsireya, discovering the reef on your own, both of you with eyes sparkling full of wonder.
The three of you swam through a particularly large pod of small fish which dispersed quickly as you shot through not far behind Tsireya. Tuk was starting to catch up as well, and when you turned your head to face her, you noticed another presence alongside her. It was the other Sully daughter - Kiri. She was gracefully riding an ilu next to her younger sister, a gorgeous, genuine smile stretching across her face as she took in their surroundings. You’d never get tired of seeing that face of pure wonder and awe.
It had been a few hours of exploring the reef, practising ilu riding and various breathing exercises. You were utterly exhausted, and you could tell the Sully children were feeling the same thing. Tuk was passed out on Kiri’s lap, Tsireya and you sat side by side next to them as you talked to Neteyam and Lo’ak.
Apparently during the boy’s race, Lo’ak had fallen off another four times. At least that’s what Neteyam had told you - grinning proudly at the fact that he had beaten Lo’ak all those four times. Lo’ak rolled his eyes lazily.
“You might be able to beat Lo’ak,” you told Neteyam, “but you wouldn’t even stand a chance against a Metkayina baby.”
Lo’ak grinned and laughed loudly at your remark, Tsireya joining in with a quiet giggle. Neteyam turned a shade darker at the teasing, shaking his head.
“Don’t worry Lo’ak,” you reassured him, “you’ll be a natural in no time.”
He grinned even wider at what you said.
The sun was starting to set in the sky, casting a dusty purple glow over the water, meaning it would soon be time for the evening meal. It was a custom of your clan to eat your midday and evening meals. It was a time to connect and share stories with one another.
Ao’nung and his friends had disappeared to the communal eating pod a while earlier to ‘help’. But you and Tsireya knew damn well they just wanted to get early seats.
You looked back at the beginning of this day, when all you had planned was to laze around and enjoy your single day off from teaching the Metkayina kids. But now, you were more than glad that you had agreed to help, because although these forest Na’vi were strange - they were also fun. You hadn’t smiled this much or laughed this loud in a very long time, and you think Tsireya would agree.
“We should probably get going,” said Tsireya, breaking away from the conversation she was having with Kiri. “Dinner will be ready soon.”
Neteyam’s stomach growled loudly at the mention of food, “sorry,” he apologised, grinning sheepishly as he scratched the back of his head. Your stomach was starting to ache from mild hunger too, the amount of physical exertion that you had endured today left your entire body feeling more sore than usual.
You pushed yourself off the sandy beach, brushing the sand off your hand.
 Kiri tried to wake Tuk up from her nap, but the poor girl was still tired, refusing to get off her sister’s lap. Neteyam - being the perfect big brother he is - lifted Tuk off Kiri’s lap and carried her on his back, her cheek resting on his shoulder as she continued to snore softly in her sleep.
It was hard not to admit how cute they were.
After you helped Kiri up, you turned to where Tsireya should’ve been standing behind you, but she was nowhere to be seen. Your ears perked in confusion until you caught sight of Neteyam pointing ahead, “the love birds are far gone” he said, a teasing lilt to his voice.
Tsireya was already walking across the beach with Lo’ak towards the marui. Both of them were chatting enthusiastically with each other which made you grin widely, a quiet chuckle falling from your lips - you were totally going to tease Tsireya about this later.
“Hey!” Kiri beamed as she nudged your forearm with her own, “I'll race you there!”
You turned to Neteyam who still had Tuk resting peacefully on his back, you didn’t want to leave him alone with her thinking that he’d likely not participate to avoid waking Tuk from her nap. But your thoughts were interrupted quickly as he piped up, a knowing grin on his face. “Don’t go easy on me just because I’m carrying extra weight,” he said, a challenging tone to pair with his confident demeanour, “I could still beat both of you with ease.”
You quirk your eyebrow at him as you stifle your laugh, “okay, fine then. You’re both on!”
Kiri grins widely, and before you can even say “go!” she’s off, laughing wildly as she races across the sandy beach. Shaking your head, you run after her, determined not to let Neteyam come close to beating you.
The cold evening ocean water nipped at your ankles as your feet hit the wet sand. The sound of your laughter echoing through the beach as you sped past Tsireya and Lo’ak - the former giving you a quizzical expression at your antics, and the latter getting shoved forward by Kiri as she ran past him.
“You two are slow,” Kiri voiced dramatically, sounding as if she found them boring.
Lo’ak seemed to have taken her words personally, shoving her back as he skipped forward, “I’m not going to let you win, Kiri!” The Omaticaya boy sped past both of you quickly, and you had to admit. - Lo’ak was fast.
You couldn’t even contain your laughter, the adrenaline coursing through your body from the excitement of having so much fun, but your competitive nature would always get the better of you. There was no way you’d let the Sully children beat you.
“I win!” you beam, looking behind you to see your friends who were panting in exhaustion. Tsireya looked like she was physically unable to walk another step, hands braced on her knees as she sucked in deep breaths.
Kiri had given up on running, and was now jogging slowly as she approached you. Her lips were pulled up in a smile as she rolled her eyes at you playfully. “you cheated,” she declared, which made you just snicker to yourself.
Sure, you might have cheated a little bit to win the race, but who could blame you?  The Omaticaya children were quick on their feet and you weren’t about to let them win on your home turf. And anyways, even if they were fast, their feet were still not used to running swiftly on the sand, and their tails just made it so much easier to throw them off balance.
Lo’ak and Neteyam were also catching up, Lo’ak had a look of betrayal on his face, meanwhile Neteyam couldn’t stop grinning. He still had Tuk resting on his back, but now she looked slightly disgruntled, she had definitely been woken up from all the running.
“I can’t believe you pulled my tail!” Lo’ak bursted, giving you an accusatory look that said I’ll get you back.
You laugh at his tone while Tsireya leads your group further into the dining hall.
“Maybe next time don’t flick it around so much,” you shoot back, poking his upper arm playfully, “it’s as if you were taunting me.”
He only rolls his eyes back at you. Neteyam sets Tuk down, she rubs her eyes in an attempt to wake herself up more, her gaze wanders around the large eating hall. It’s a big open hut, with no walls but a canopy cover. The entire village gathers here to eat together, sharing the stories of their eventful days. The Metkayina use gorgeous plates made of large round shells. Delicate carvings decorate the outside of the shell plates. Tsireya hands one out to each of you as she begins serving the food out. A variety of diversely cooked fish is sitting on large shell platters, accompanied by a variety of Pandoran vegetables that were native to this part of the world. The aroma of the food makes your mouth water.
Once all of you have got your food, you sit together on the large woven mats and start eating your meals.
Your gaze drifts around the eating hall, Ronal and Tonowari - who were basically your second parents - were sitting together, eating with the Sully children's parents. Jake seemed to be making a great effort to get to know both the Olo’eyktan and Tsahik, but Neytiri seemed not as invested, she looked almost bored as she picked at the fish on her plate. Ronal seemed to be mirroring her expressions.
However, your meal with your new friends held a starkly different energy altogether. You joked, and laughed, and told stories of your childhood. Kiri went as far as to tell you and Tsireya of a time when Neteyam and Lo’ak had a very serious prank war that almost resulted in them burning down a tree. When Tsireya tried to question why, all you got out of them was a “don’t ask.”
As the bustle in the eating hall died down, and the stars started to decorate the night sky, you and your new group of friends made your way through the village. Tuk bounced along the walkways as you talked to Kiri. You had grown incredibly fond of her, she was like a sister you never had. Her sense of humour never failed to make you double over in laughter, and she was packed full of knowledge and interesting facts. You admired the fact that she was so open to learning new things.
Her eyes lit up as they looked out in the ocean, a small gasp falling from her lips as she noticed the bioluminescent glow emitting from the reef. Gorgeous purples and blues illuminating the ocean’s surface from below, you smiled too at her pure awe.
“It’s gorgeous isn’t it?” you said.
She smiled, “it’s much more than that.”
You heard the unanimous ‘woah’s’ and ‘wow’s’ from the other Sully kids at the sight, their reactions made you smile even wider.
Teaching these completely unknowing Omaticaya children of your own home, made you fall in love with it all over again. You were reminded of how much you loved your way of life, being surrounded by the ocean and the sand and the salty sea breeze at all times was something you could never give up.
As you waved your new friends farewell, watching them disappear into their marui for the night, you couldn’t help but be excited for what the next few months with them would hold. A part of you was sure that you’d learn just as much from them as they would from you…
"okay, okay, that's enough!"
you hissed in pain as roxto dabbed the paste of herbs on the red gash across your arm.
"i'm hardly even halfway, (name)." he deadpanned, pulling your arm closer to his body to resume his work. the medicine stung with every press, almost making you regret chasing after such a big fish past the reef.
"maybe if you had waited for aonung to catch up to you, you wouldn't be sitting here and whining like a baby."
"and let it get away? no thanks! you should thank me for the great feast we're going to have!" you gleamed, muttering a silent prayer to eywa as thanks for what she has provided.
"still, it was dangerous, you should've waited for the others." roxto emphasized, wrapping the fabric covering over your wound. you were competitive, you'd rather take the glory all for yourself than for aonung to have his name all over the achievement as the chief's son.
"but thank you," he added as he tapped your arm to signal he was finished. you smiled, feeling embarrassed all of a sudden.
"thank you, too, roxto."
the journey back to your marui was met with many greetings from the metkayina, many of them congratulating you on your big feat and asking if your arm was okay. you had almost reached there when tsireya stopped you, lo'ak trailing behind her.
"(name)!" she held your hands in hers, squealing in excitement.
"i heard what you did, that's so cool!" she gushed, your cheeks flushing at her compliment. more flooded out of her mouth before she quickly left in excitement to prepare for the night, leaving lo'ak with you.
"hey," he greeted, his arms slinking around your waist to pull you close. you nodded in response. your hands were on his chest, feeling his heartbeat underneath.
"what's 'reya talking about?"
reya.
your mood instantly dropped.
here we go again.
"got a big catch on my own," you mumbled. you slowly tried to wriggle out of his grasp in hopes of him not noticing your discomfort.
he laughed, "you?"
you frowned at his retort. it felt like he wouldn't believe you could pull off such a thing.
"yes. me. i've done it before, why would it be so unbelievable this time?"
his face contorted in surprise, he definitely wasn't expecting the tone of your voice.
"you did?"
"i told you.. the day we first hung out as a couple."
he didn't remember. he hardly remembered anything about you anyway. or was it that he didn't care to listen? his mind always seemed to wander off somewhere when you'd talk to him. maybe it was that, he was just occupied that day.
"oh, my bad."
that's all he ever says.
you rolled your eyes before muttering some lame excuse so you could leave. you've had it with everything. you didn't know what to feel anymore. a part of you felt like you deserved better, but another part of you kept making excuses for him to keep the picture-perfect image of your relationship intact.
at eclipse, you were sitting around the fire with your friends, and some other metkayina, as you enjoyed your catch for the day, getting flustered at exaggerated compliments from roxto.
"it's almost like eywa blessed specifically this fish! i promise you!"
"that's enough, roxto. you're embarrassing." you groaned before kicking some sand in his direction to shut him up.
"oh no need to feel so shy, (name) the great hunter, we all know of your great hunting feats." he teased. he elbowed you as a laugh escaped his lips at the sight of you covering your face.
however, it got you thinking.
great hunting feats.
was he exaggerating? or did he really know about your hunting stories? you don't even recall mentioning anything. it must've been during a fleeting moment when you two were exchanging small talk. roxto seemed to know a lot of things about you. both small and big, and you hardly remember telling him about them.
it was then that you realized, it wasn't only roxto who was like that. your friends remembered things about you, too. tsireya knows you like to talk to the ilu as you feed them, so she gives you space in order to make you feel comfortable to do so. neteyam knows which parts of the meat you like more, and therefore tries to save those parts for you. aonung knows what time of day you like to hunt, and when you absolutely hate going, which becomes evident when he only invites you around those times.
all your friends paid great attention to things you said, and you did the same for them, too. it's what made your bond with everyone so strong.
if your friends could do that, why couldn't lo'ak?
it's hours later when you see him again in the comfort of your marui. his eyes are casted downwards, mouth twisted in a frown.
"hey, why didn't you sit with me?" he broke the silence, voice barely above a whisper.
"didn't think you'd care." you replied indifferently, moving past him to stretch a little and get yourself some water.
"didn't think i'd— what is wrong with you? i always care."
he seemed angry, but you knew he was more upset than that. lo'ak would never get boiling mad with you. maybe that was another way he had of showing he loved you. but you'd rather he treat you like everyone else than how he'd treat you now. you'd rather he be more joyous like he was with others, more expressive, instead of treating you like his pastime.
"sure doesn't feel like it, lo'ak."
"what are you trying to say?"
"i'm saying i'm—" you hesitated.
do i really want this?
you're not so sure now. the thoughts always crept back, claiming you were overreacting and lo'ak was just like that. you just had to deal with it. but as you thought back to today, with how roxto cared for your wound, and your friends congratulated you, listened to you, while lo'ak didn't even ask about your injury, you decided you didn't want this anymore.
"i'm done with this. i'm done with us."
maybe you misunderstood. maybe you overlooked things. maybe he did love you. but it just wasn't in the way you wished he did.
Aonung X Fem Metkayina Reader
A/N: Aonung is 20 and you're 26, Koro belongs to Avatar, and everyone else belongs to me.
Prompt: "Just shut up and kiss me"
--------------------------------------------------------------
Aonung is not sure what demon possessed him but, he is pretty sure it's you. Tsireya and Lo'ak have already mated before Eywa once Lo'ak completed his Inkimaya. He liked how for the Metkayina he didn't have to give up his role of Olo'eyktan because Lo'ak wasn't interested and insisted on him being Olo'eyktan which he will be eternally grateful for. Now, his parents kept hinting or outright telling him he needed to find a mate but, he knew who he wanted. It's you, however, you keep playing hard to get because of your age. He had told you when he was 13, and older he would claim you but, you laughed it off saying you're too old. You were so insecure about your age which was a load of bull shit you weren't even that much older than him! You had him by 6 years who cares? You were perfect to him. You were insecure about your height since you were shorter than Reya but, he loved it, you could fit in his arms better especially since he and his dad are eye to eye now. He loved how soft your belly was in comparison to the other women on the island, you were never one to shy away from food and he loved your hefty appetite, it made him want to hunt and collect fruits, roots, and whatever else you wanted to eat.
"You're staring again Nung." He turned his eyes to his sister, rolling his eyes fondly.
"And I will continue to admire her, now go be with Lo'ak, and let me admire my future wife in peace." Reya rolled her eyes in exasperation, patted him on the shoulder, and disappeared to do who knows what. Probably Lo'ak.
His eyes followed your frame and he felt himself smiling at you. He was so in love with you and obsessed he's not even sure if you know just how deep his love, his need, and his want for you ran through his veins. You were weaving away on your Tsurak and the sun reflected off of your tattoos that he wanted to kiss every night as he held you close to him and listened to you tell him about your day no matter how mundane it was. He wanted to worship you from the top of your head to your full breasts, to your soft belly, your thick thighs and legs, down to your feet. He'll get on his knees and beg for you to be his, he needed and wanted you to be his. He wanted a family with you, he wanted to grow old with you, he wanted to be mated before Eywa to you and only you. You made his heart skip a beat, you made him feel like he could be and do everything in the world. You were healthy and strong, not as strong as him you didn't need to be, he could protect you with one hand if needed. His head turned at the sight of his best friend/brother Rotxo who was mated to Kiri approaching.
"You still haven't claimed her? You know others have their eyes on her like Koro." He and Roxto shared a look at that. Koro was good, there wasn't anything per se wrong with him, however, when it came to the girls, the unmated women he swore he could get anyone he wanted. There was only one girl who swooned for him and he never paid her any mind. He's an idiot like that.
"Koro knows better to try and claim what's mine." Aonung was possessive, to say the least, he could be arrogant on a good day but, you? You brought a side of him out he didn't even know he was capable of having.
"I know she has to know, I catch her blushing every time she looks at you, and she smiles but, she's so shy about it. Reminds me a little bit of Kiri." The two of them started talking about you and Kiri, taking notice of you and Kiri together as well.
---------------------------------------
"Y/N, you're killing me." You and Kiri got along well, especially when she completed her Inkimaya and got matching tattoos with Rotxo once mating with him. "Why are you playing games with Aonung like this? I usually love to see him suffer but, this is too much even for me!" The two of you were talking and you felt yourself blushing just at the thought of him.
"I love him so much, it hurts but...why would he want someone like me? There's other women he could choose from, one's a little closer in age." Kiri rubbed a hand down her face, sighing heavily in exasperation.
"Aonung doesn't give a shit, about you being older. The way he looks at you and talks about you to me and Lo'ak?? and Rotxo as well? He would get on his knees and beg for your love and affection." You couldn't help the giggle that came out of you looking at Kiri with hopeful eyes.
"It's my insecurities isn't it?" Kiri nodded and went to speak but, an annoying voice behind you answered.
"Aonung doesn't need someone older, he needs someone young and who can keep up with him." You turned around to glare at Atarina. You couldn't stand her, not only because everyone on this damn island knew she just wanted Aonung for the status, she was arrogant and full of herself. She just freshly passed her Inkimaya, after failing twice. "He's only nice to you because that's his duty as Olo'eyktan, he has to treat all of us with respect whether he likes them or not."
"Is she talking about the same Aonung?" You turned to Kiri just as perplexed. If Aonung didn't like you, you would know. You raised an eye ridge at her.
"It's clear you don't know Aonung as well as you claim. Maybe you should try again since three is your lucky number." You smirked in her face knowing her Inkimaya was a sore spot for her and you expected the oncoming fight.
--------------------------------------
"I think I have to be more clear with my feelings then." Roxto was going to agree but, cussed instead. Aonung turned at the uncharacteristic cuss following Roxto who was moving at the scene in front of him. He felt anger rise inside of him. Atarina and her foolish friends were jumping his syulang and Kiri hence why Roxto hissed. They both sped up getting closer and Aonung couldn't help the small smirk when Atarina stretched to scratch Y/N and missed falling into the water. Kiri was clinging onto Y/N but, both of them turned at the sight of him and Roxto.
"What's going on here?" He did a glance over Y/N seeing she had a gash on her side, most likely protecting Kiri and he had to keep the snarl from his face. He will tend to it once he gets this situation sorted out. "Atarina you speak first." He already knew she was going to lie and, once she saw she had attention on her she started batting her eyes at him. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Y/N glaring in disgust at her which made him want to kiss her senseless right then and there.
"My friends and I were coming over here to have a little chat with these two..." She glared at them turning her 'sugar' eyes back to Aonung who just found her repulsive. "When Kiri got snarky, talking about you and Y/N agreed. They didn't like that I was defending you and hit me first so of course I had to defend myself." You didn't realize it but, you were squeezing the spear in your hand so hard your knuckles changed colors and Kiri was no better.
"I hate liars Atarina." Atarina had the nerve to look shocked and Aonung didn't bother hiding the snarl. "I know Kiri enough to know she doesn't do that and I especially know ma Y/N doesn't start arguments with petulant children." You're not sure which one stung more, the insult or the fact that Aonung just openly claimed you. You were stunned as well.
"...You said Ma Y/N." Atarina didn't even bother playing anymore, she was straight up glaring at you and looking at Aonung in disbelief. "You...want her? An old woman?" It took every muscle in your body to keep from reacting but, your eye and ear twitched which Aonung picked up on. Roxto had already grabbed Kiri who was clinging to him. He was her soft spot. Aonung let out a dangerous growl that had Atarina shutting up and flinching.
"You will do yourself a favor and never speak ill about my future mate. I never wanted you and never will. Now go find yourself something safe to do and leave ma Y/N alone." Atarina said nothing, as angry tears sprung to her eyes and she left with her friends leaving right behind her. You should feel a little bad for her but, you don't. You feel shocked and smug and want to jump to Aonung and kiss him stupidly. He turned to you then with an unreadable expression swimming into your space.
"Aonung?" He said nothing except to pick you up, place you on his Tsurak giving you enough time to wave to Kiri and Roxto before he swam away.
"You're bleeding. I have bandages in my marui." He was holding you firmly by the hip to make sure you didn't fall off, passing by a couple of people including Koro who seemed shocked. The two of you made it to the netting where he placed you on first before climbing up. You went to stand but, he picked you up and walked inside his Marui. Being the Olo'eyktan had its perks since his Marui was big, had curtains for privacy and he didn't have close neighbors. Once inside, he sat you down on his mat, and you sat in front of him watching as he got everything and tended to your light cuts and the gash on your side from where Atarina tried stabbing Kiri.
"Your home is much bigger than I thought." Maybe it was the nerves, but, you felt the need to fill up the space as he cleaned up your wounds and bandaged them. You didn't realize how much you were talking because he finished and used both hands to cup your face in between them. That forced you to stop as the two of you held eye contact and he smirked at you. "Um-"
"Just shut up and kiss me." You felt your eyes widen at the boldness but, remembered the pep talk Kiri was giving you. Don't be afraid. You took a breath and had the pleasure of seeing a slight surprise in his eyes when you leaned forward and pressed your lips against his. You were nervous but, when you felt him move his hands from your face to place along your back to pull you more against him, you knew your worries were all for nothing. This is where you belong, with your Aonung. The two of you pulled apart, pressing your foreheads together. "I see you ma Y/N, my Syulang." You hummed, wrapping your arms firmly around his neck.
"As I see you ma Nung."
Another chapter?! Woo-woo! The fandom lowkey died but, I'm still going to write one-shots from time to time.
Smart Mouth
*Request: If you are still taking requests, here's one! Reader is Ao'nung's meaner twin sister, maybe she's known for being an amazing warrior and hunter. But Lo'ak knows it's a front, because with him you aren't like that, he knows how submissive you truly are, especially when he has you under him.*
I have no clue how this turned out this long lmao I kinda just rolled with it. But I love this kind of trope. So I hope you enjoy this one. All characters are aged up.
🔞Minors Do Not Interact🔞
Smut under the cut
The talk amongst the clan about you seems to never cease. For one reason or another, your name was always on the tongues of other people. Many praised your strength. Able to stare down some of the most feared creatures in the wild without so much as blinking. You never backed down from a fight. In some respects, that was admirable. But it hurt the egos of the males in your clan when you would best them in a sparring match. Swinging them and tossing them to the ground with ease and grace.
This led to the talk amongst the people about how difficult it would be for you to find a mate. What kind of man wants a woman who could and would best him? Some looked down on you for it. Others had pity on you feeling that your beauty and status as the daughter of the chief was going to waste. As far as you were concerned, there were plenty of fine men your age in the clan that were plenty strong, but they simply lacked the nerve it took to break your spirit. If someone stepped up to the challenge, you would be more than willing to give him a chance, but no one ever did.
“I mean seriously, am I really so scary?” you would ask exasperated and frustrated beyond belief.
“Of course, you are.” Ao’nung would say without missing a beat while sharpening his knife next to you.
He flinches when your quickly smack him upside the head. Most of the time, the two of you were perfectly in sync, but on occasion, he could annoy you like no other. The pros and cons of being twins.
At dinner, your parents force you and your siblings to sit with the Sully kids in an effort to make you all get along. This had carried on for weeks now. Progress was slow going, but it was there, nonetheless. Tsireya took an instant liking to them which was perfectly in line with her personality. She could find the joy and love in any situation. You and Ao’nung were more reserved, though. Always have been. Seeking comfort in each other rather than connections with other people. But over time, the two of you would join in the conversation from time to time.
The Sully kids weren’t necessarily bad, but they weren’t made for reef life and trying to teach them your ways was tedious and irritating. The one who got on your nerves the worst? Lo’ak. He was the only one that gave you trouble with a never-ending string of back talk. He knew how to grind your gears and he did it all with the biggest shit-eating grin on his face.
“Your diving has gotten better lately.” Tsireya beams at them. But you scoff and roll your eyes.
“Do not lie to them Reya. Your forms are still sloppy. It is a wonder how one of you has not been washed away by the current yet.”
She bumps your shoulder and you just shrug as you were simply stating a fact.
“What? It is true. If it weren’t for us being there and keeping an eye on all of them, they wouldn’t last 2 seconds out there.” You say the last part while looking directly at Lo’ak. The rest of his siblings look annoyed or dejected, but he just turns his nose up at you with that same damn grin. “Is that really what you think?”
You narrow your eyes at him in a silent challenge, but he just cocks his eyebrow at you. You stand from your spot, “Whatever, I’m over this conversation. I’m going for a walk.”
Ao’nung and Tsireya give each other a questioning look watching you leave. It was unlike you. Normally, you never shut up in an argument. What was different about tonight?
You’re about 10 minutes into your walk on the beach when you stop to lean against a large rock on the shore. You just stand there and listen to the waves crashing against the sand.
“You do not seem to be doing much walking to me.”
There’s that voice. “What do you want, Lo’ak?”
“Well, as far as everybody else knows, I came to check on you and make sure you’re okay.” He saunters over towards you until his chest just barely brushes against yours when you breathe.
“So why are you actually here?” annoyance laced your voice and he just laughs lowly to himself.
Suddenly, his hand finds your jaw holding it firm and making you look up at him. “Because, clearly, we need to do something about this smart-ass mouth of yours.”
You do your best to hold his gaze, but it gets hard to focus with the heat pooling in your body. “If you wanted my attention, all you had to do was say so.” He speaks while pressing his body closer to you and essentially trapping you between him and the boulder. “Or maybe you want more than just my attention?”
You want to squeeze your thighs together to relieve some of the building pressure, but his body is too close. Your body squirms under him, but it just makes him hold you tighter. “Say it, tíyawn.” His fingertips tease at the strings on your hips holding up your loincloth. Your body is growing hungry and desperate.
“I want it.”
His hands hold your hips and turn you around to face the rock. One hand massages and gropes at your breasts while the other dips under the front of your loincloth and teasingly flicks at your clit.
“I don’t know. I’m not really convinced yet.”
“Lo’ak…” his name leaves your mouth more as a whine than a warning.
“Use your words, baby. You had so much to say earlier.” His fingers rub light circles around your clit without any real pressure behind them. “Be good for me and I’ll let you cum.” For just a second, his fingers press into your clit and your knees buckle. Your mind is growing hazy from the teases of satisfaction he gives you.
“Please, Lo’ak. Please fuck me. I’m sorry. I’ll be good, I promise!”
You can feel his lips ghosting over the skin of your neck, “There’s my good girl.” His lips kiss up the length of the back of your neck while his fingers on your clit finally give you that pressure you craved.
He loved this game you played. On the outside, so tough and proud. No one would dare to stand against you. No one would even so much as hold your gaze for too long. Sure, you were intimidating, there was no debate about that. He was sure you could probably skin a palulukan with your bare hands if you wanted to. But you were also beautiful beyond measure. You carried yourself with grace and confidence. Lo’ak knew from the moment he started training with you that you needed a challenge. You wanted a challenge. And he decided that he was going to be the one to give you everything you wanted. And in turn, it would turn out like this. You turned into a submissive begging mess under him. And you loved it.
His hand moves from your chest to untie both of your loincloths and let them fall to the ground. The length of his dick rested on your ass and a drop of precum falls onto your lower back.
He stands and spreads your ass to watch how your pussy drips in waiting for him. He bites his lip in restraint. Two of his fingers run up and down the length of your slit to gather your slick. He holds them in front of your face, “Open.” You obediently open your mouth for his fingers and swirl your tongue around them. At the same time, he lines himself up with your opening and pushes inside you. You open your mouth, but his fingers push further inside your mouth making you choke on your own moan.
Once he bottoms out inside you, he wastes no time giving you hard, deep thrusts. He pulls his fingers from your mouth to hold your hips for better leverage. Your hands brace yourself against the rock to keep yourself upright. “Oh, fuck! Lo’ak!”
“Yeah, this what you wanted? You wanted me to fuck that little attitude out of you?” A sharp sting lands on your ass when he smacks it.
“Fuck! Yes! Yes!”
Your legs almost give out from under you, but Lo’ak’s grip on your hips keep you on your feet. “Shit, so tight for me.”
Your body is screaming for release. “Ah! Lo’ak, I’m close!” Just as your feel yourself half a second from going over the edge, Lo’ak stops. “Nooo…” Your hips fall back onto him trying to take back your orgasm that he ripped away from you. You can hear the low chuckle he lets out as his hands hold you place. Your head falls forward against the rock in front of you in frustration as tears prick your eyes.
“Lo’ak…please…”
His hand falls on your ass again in another sharp slap. “Who?”
“Please, sir! Please let me cum! I promise I’ll be so good!” You’ve never felt a need like this outside of your heat and he revels in the power he has over you in moments like this.
“Good girl.” He continues beating against your cervix and your head falls back in ecstasy. A hand finds your hair and grips it holding your head back farther. Your eyes almost get lost in the back of your head as they roll trying to meet Lo’ak’s eyes.
The knot in your core tightens again while you climb back up to your peak. “Ah! I’m…g-gonna…” you struggle to get your words out, but you don’t even need to finish your sentence.
“That’s right, baby. Be my best girl and cum on my dick.” His words push your mind over the edge and your body violently trembles under the weight of your orgasm. Lo’ak nears his own high feeling your pussy clench around him desperately trying to milk him deep inside of you.
“Oh, shit, just like that. Take it, baby.” His thrusts get erratic as he fills you with his seed. He holds his hips flush against your ass holding himself inside of you while you both come down.
When he pulls out of you, your legs fully give out. You almost fall to the sand, but Lo’ak catches you and scoops you into his arms. He carries you out into the water to help wash you off. You nuzzle your face into his chest while he holds you and carefully runs his hands over your body. He tenderly kisses the top of your head and the two of you stay out in the water just floating together until you’re ready to return.
The next day, everything is back to business as usual. You and Ao’nung are out fishing and he scrunches his nose up at you.
“What? Why are you making that face at me?” you ask finally fed up with it.
“You smell odd. What is that?” disgust drips from his words.
“One more word about it and I will skin you!” you say pointing at him. He rolls his eyes at you, but you know that this won’t be enough to make him stop asking.
Meanwhile, Neteyam and Lo’ak watch the two of you while practicing their breathing techniques.
“She’s kinda…intense, right?” Neteyam says lowly to Lo’ak hoping that you won’t hear him and turn your rage on him.
Lo’ak simply looks at you and shrugs his shoulders. “Not really.”
Beatrice and Shannon -> Blue
Everything hurts.
Mary and Lilith are fighting, and everything hurts.
It's not an exaggeration.
Her lungs are burning and there's a stabbing pain in her chest and her head is pounding and the light is blinding and the rush of noise is deafening, overwhelming, and–
"Beatrice!"
There's contact against her arms, her shoulders, and she curls onto her side, draws herself in tight tight tight, does her best to ignore the bolts of pain from the motion.
"Give her some space, guys–" Shannon, maybe. Have they stopped fighting? She can't tell.
"Bea–"
"Hey, just–"
"– don't–"
"Stop–"
She burrows further into herself, claps her hands over her ears but it's not enough, noise stabbing into her brain and–
"Shut up!" Lilith, possibly.
She can't make out the hushed conversation that follows, sets herself rocking with the flex of her calf. Prickle of hair standing up at the nape of her neck. She just wants it all to stop. They're supposed to be a team, supposed to fight together, not each other.
"Bea, I'm going to sit here with you, okay?" Shannon.
She can't muster up the composure to reply, screws her eyes tight shut, everything is so loud and so present and so much. A low whine builds in her throat, anything to drown out the racket as long as it's something she can control.
"Guys, cut it out or take it outside." Slow, level, forceful without raising her voice. A conversational tone. "Bea, do you think you can sit up for me?"
It's too much to even think about, let alone accomplish, too overwhelming, too insurmountable. She raises her pitch, can't hear the whispered conversation at all. Her heart is so loud in her ears, banging against her skull–
"Bea, I don't know what you need. Is there– oh, for Christ's sake, would you guys shut up!"
Louder and louder until all she can feel is the hum from the crown of her head to the soles of her feet. Why did Lilith decide to hijack her zord why did REYA think it was a good idea to show it to them before they were ready why haven't they morphed why did the power coins choose them why did it choose her was it just because she was with them did the blue coin just get stuck with her why–
"– scaring us, kid. Bea– whoa."
Quiet.
Beatrice blinks away the haze, and everything looks different. Like she's seeing through a pair of goggles, like–
She looks down at her clenched fists.
Her hands are blue.
day 4 of reya singh’s 4-day mind reprogramming process! .𖥔 ݁ ˖ִ ࣪⚝₊ ⊹˚
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
day 4: today is the day you will shift. anchor this firmly in your mindset. as you go through your day and routine, consciously connect every action to shifting. drinking water, brushing your teeth, showering, watching tv, breathing, eating— associating literally every activity, no matter how mundane, to bringing you closer to shift. even negative experiences can be reframed as stepping stones toward this goal. let this relentless positive focus saturate your consciousness. this day takes you into your desired reality.
Tumblr media
alright!! this is technically not day 4 as it would’ve been monday the 5th not today (tuesday 6th) so, excuse that, i’ll explain. anyway! before we get into this, i just want to state: no, i did not shift, but maybe got close. this attempt is similar to another. i will explain what happened and my overall thoughts about this process. long post!! (˘ŏ_ŏ)
Tumblr media
⋆⋅☆⋅⋆what happened?⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
so to address the timeline, i did attempt to shift monday which is the official 4th day but right when it hit 12am for me since i’m in bed by then. i love “awake” methods, they’re all i usually do but i can only do them at night when i am left alone and nothing is bothering me. i’m busy during the day and there’s never a quiet moment.
i did everything as usual, i got myself ready for bed, buzzing with good energy and semi-controlled giddiness. i lay down, put my headphones on and i listen to reya’s guided meditation. i get into a nice deep calm state, i don’t feel my body too much and i’m very relaxed. i affirm and affirm, keep relaxed. i don’t feel any “symptoms” per se, maybe like a tingling sensation here and there but i barely notice (i know i don’t need to experience these). so this continues on and eventually i go in and out of consciousness. the whole time i doze off and come back, i hear the subliminal music in my ears and no cue i’m in my wr. i remember getting frustrated but not why, i wasn’t mad i wasn’t in my wr or anything i know that for sure. really strange, but i’m not thinking much of it. in summary, i fell asleep and nothing much happened.
Tumblr media
that brings me to 12am today. i got ready for bed as usual and around 11:20pm (of yesterday) i’m finally in bed. i’m looking through notifs, apps, etc., then i decide to shift again. because why not? fuck it, let’s do it.
so after reviewing my script (and adding to it), i lay back with alunir’s guided meditation playing in my headphones. i’ve used it several times before. i relax immediately, etc etc etc., you know how it goes. again, not many “symptoms”, i barely notice the smaller ones like tingling. i get into a very very relaxed state, can’t feel my body much and i affirm and set my intentions as i hear what alunir says. like the last attempt, i doze off a little at first but then i’m fully awake. and soon i start smelling the faintest scents of rain and cologne (scripted this for my wr). i’m even calmer than last time this happened, got excited but i shut that shit down quick to focus. another cue i had in mind to know i’m in my wr is connor “waking” me up. he would gently wake me up not by talking but touch. (i’ve yet to post abt him, i will soon. he’s connor from a game called detroit become human. he’s like my assistant(?) in wr)
man i just remembered as i’m typing this up, i felt a shove to my arm/shoulder. it wasn’t aggressive but not so gentle, somewhere in the middle. i can’t tell if this was just a jerk my body did or something more for a split second. i don’t know what to define it as but i’m more sure it was just a jerk than anything else.
Tumblr media
⋆⋅☆⋅⋆overall thoughts⋆⋅☆⋅⋆
i think this is an amazing process. i believe it really helps lock down your belief in shifting as well as whatever you want to work on while using this. i felt pretty confident about my abilities to shift and it helped strengthen my positivity about shifting as a whole.
throughout all the exercises of this process, it helped strengthen so many parts of myself. reflecting on my journey thus far and what i hope to get out of one of many lives is so incredibly motivating and eye-opening. it gets you to really sit down and think about what you want and what you see for your overall life. this process really helps you see your dr(s) as a real place. not something you can only dream of but a real place where you can be. where everyone around you is real and have very real lives.
i definitely recommend others to try this process out. even if you don’t end up shifting, it can help strengthen your mindset and get you to think deeply about your dr(s). in turn, get you that much more closer to shifting!! ◝(ᵔᗜᵔ)◜
Beatrice learns to hate numbers.
She learns a lot during the moment Ava goes into the portal. Because she knows exactly how long Ava has been… Missing? Gone? Lost? The only answer she has, the only answer her hands can grasp, are numbers.
Fourteen minutes. Fourteen minutes for every second that passes in this world. That calculates to 2.3 years for every day that passes in this world. Reya not only takes Ava away from her, she takes years away from them .
Time doesn’t move as quickly where Beatrice is. No, it slogs and scrapes its feet on the floor. She replays every mistake, every misstep, and every word left unsaid. The only perspective that grounds her, that reminds her of the mission  and of her duty is one nagging thought: Ava has it worse.
Ava has it worse.
So Beatrice can put aside her hauntings, her regrets, and focus on saving Ava. To protect her. To love her.
She knows she has it good— relatively. Mother Superion’s scars have healed. She’s feeling physically better than she has in years. The pain in Camila’s neck has subsided ever since Adriel was taken by the Tarasks. Yasmine has been throwing herself into her studies, and taking a leadership position. The remaining OCS chapter is still intact.
But what Beatrice doesn’t know is a full night’s sleep. The last time she got any shut eye was back when she was in bed with Ava. What she’d give for one more night next to her. While Ava has been gone for two days…
Years . Years. Years. Years. 4.6 Years.
While Ava has been gone for two days on this planet, Beatrice has been awake for almost three. Any fleeting moments she does get in slumber are filled with nightmares. But her waking hours are no different. It’s just that the nightmare isn’t filled with demons and fighting. It’s filled with silence and an empty portal.
Beatrice doesn’t know what it felt like to not have an aching pain in her back. She wonders if this is how Ava feels with the Halo. Her soreness isn’t as justified, just awkward resting places.
The OCS tried supplying her with a full bed and mattress, but Beatrice refused. She can’t sleep soundly when she knows Ava is somewhere out there. Alone? Battling? Suffering? Camila forces Beatrice to accept the sleeping bag, with its minimal support against the cold hard pavement.
Yes, she hasn’t moved. Neither has the portal.
For this first time in her life, Beatrice yells at Mother Superion when she suggests they rebuild it at Cat’s Cradle. The numbers ring in her head. Even if the portal was offline for one hour, that would mean fourteen hours in Reya’s realm. That would mean 840 minutes Ava could burst through that portal with 840 attempts to no avail.
Leaving isn’t an option. Not like it was for Ava. But Beatrice tries not to think about that. She only thinks about Ava coming back home.
So Beatrice has made a routine. She has called for shifts monitoring the portal because after 72 hours of being completely awake, the team forced her to plan out a sleep schedule.
Beatrice hates numbers. They keep her up at night. Everything keeps her up at night. Her thoughts of what Ava might be doing, could be thinking, crying out for help.
So what’s a couple more late nights? Beatrice can’t think losing sleep is comparable to  Ava losing years. So she sits. Alert, aware, and in position.
The days don’t change much. Whispered questions by her friends, worried nudges, unspoken moments sitting next to her. She misses the life she could’ve had if they won.
There is no winning with a missing Ava.
But everything changes in a stroke of electricity. The room fills with a bright blue. Everyone’s eyes reflect flashes and sparks. The portal rumbles back to life.
It spits out a small body, flings it to the ground, and shuts off.
Beatrice is moving before her mind commands her feet to start running. Her shoes collide with the body on the ground. It makes an impact, it makes sound. It makes it real.
Ava is back.
Ava is in a heap on the floor with blood running down the side of her forehead.
Ava is back.
Ava’s chest rises and falls in stuttered motion, like the journey through the gate knocked the wind out of her.
Ava is back.
And Beatrice stops counting.
