The more I watch himym the more I fucking hate Ted. He's so full of himself, he constantly acts like he's better than all his friends and (minor s9 spoilers) gets really mad whenever someone suggests he move on from Robin.
Robin is literally getting married to one of his best friends (Ted is literally the best man) and he's still trying when she's told him she's not interested.
Instead of trying to be happy for them or even just talking about his feelings, he's moving to a different state? Because he got rejected?
I know I'm meant to be rooting for him but is he capable of caring about anyone but himself? If he's this unbearable from his own point of view, how horrible must he be from the other people's?

I am Thinking About The Implications regarding Ted’s love interests
With Jenny, they were best friends, there was genuine affection and mutual feelings for each other but neither of them acted on it because they both assumed they didn’t have a chance, and then it was too late
With Charlotte, Ted was in love with her but she didn’t reciprocate, he was just one of the men she was having an affair with behind her husband’s back. He never lets himself be too vulnerable and open with her about his feelings, resorting to either yelling at her or just deflecting whenever she starts to talk about Sam. He’ll just take whatever he can get with her
With Lucy, he can actually express his feelings and be affectionate, but only because he’s playing the role of Konk. He has something to hide behind instead of being truly vulnerable. Even when he’s only talking to Hidgens, at least later in the episode, he stays in character, he falls into Konk’s speech patterns because he’d rather be him, in part because Lucy likes Konk. He even asks that she let him die as Konk just so he can feel loved by her
And then, before he’s approached by Sheila, we learn he does actually want to someday start a family, get married and have kids
After the misunderstanding with Jenny, Ted no longer feels he can be open and vulnerable about his feelings, puts up this front of only being interested in sex when he really does want a relationship beyond that, and only feels safe expressing himself truthfully to others when he’s someone else
Ted please for the love of god learn how to express your feelings in a healthy way I am begging you

i think this episode of ted lasso was so good because it was about love like as cheesy as it sounds it’s kinda true. nate was reflecting on his wish to be “successful” and has finally realized that in doing so, he had lost his passion for pursuing his interests and his love for his family. rebecca obviously pointing out how a huge part of sports is the community formed around the love for the sport and teams. roy realizing how his stubbornness made it difficult for him to accept his love for keeley. keeley realizing that she was truly passionate about her company and she loved the work she was doing before jack had been a part of it. sam holding onto his dreams and his love for his home country despite akufo’s bullying. jamie expressing his love for his team by showing up to phoebe’s uncle day for and choosing sam’s number when he plays for the england team. it’s truly about the love

i love that the pub lads stand by isaac even without knowing specifically what the fan said. they've been going to the open practices for months now and have seen the players beyond two halves on a television screen every week. they've seen them working their asses off, and making mistakes, and getting frustrated, and puking their guts out. they saw isaac's disastrous first attempt at a corner kick! and they know that fan would have had to say some truly vile shit for isaac to do what he did. free nelson road tickets for the pub lads for life, i think.

listen, im against rpf but i do not think wrestlers count tbh. it's like how people ship things played by actors. because wrestlers really are actors. kenny omega? he's a dude named tyson. hook? some kid named tyler. they're just playing characters.

Mark's busy with Dancing On Ice
Whatever they are paying Mark, I will double it to have him come and dropkick Ted out of the way and take over commentary. I legit have the dance event muted at this point because that man creates nothing but anxiety and rage in my body, mind, and soul.
