Can someone please explain the "tumblr shutting down" to me? Ive been on here since 2015, have friends on here and to me the site looks pretty much alive. Sad news everyone

I decided that this is not working out the way I was hoping it to work out. I will be shutting this account down. I sat and thought about this long and hard but I couldn't bring myself to see postives. I am overworking myself and as fun as this little thing was, I am not able to keep up with the demand on my own accord. I tend to be a people pleaser and negelect myself what has been a huge problem, as to why stuff has been coming out less and less.

In addition, I was sick when I made this blog, not clearly thinking but every blog or account I made specifically for only one fandom has always failed because I couldn't keep up with what I thought I could do. So once again I am terribly sorry for shutting this down.

I will not stop doing COTL art every now and then, I actually have several other characters inspired by it that I draw quite often on my main accounts. I've had a really bad couple of weeks. Idk if it's the current state of the world, fear of the future, grieving the past, the shitty weather, worsening ADHD, hormones or all of the above, but I have been completely useless at work and literally just spend all my waking hours scrolling Tumblr or watching shows. My sleep consistency has also tanked--I'm pulling all nighters just to nap a couple hours in the morning before starting work late and my cortisol levels are probably through the roof. I know in my heart, body, and desire for job security that this is unsustainable, but I can't stop

i hate the fact that my response to shit is sometimes to just shut down. one of my friends is still friends with someone who formerly abused me. now i feel like i cant talk to her anymore. i have people sending me shit like "i want you", and its made me so uncomfortable that i dont ever want to talk to anyone ever again.

everything i love gets stolen from me, and now i just want to be alone forever, because people are horrible and i feel as though i cant trust anyone anymore.

guys i regret to inform you of this and its, a really hard thing to do for me since its been something I've been working on and you guy s have seen it, I've had friends helping me make it and just, everything but. I don't have enough time in my life or motivation to continue to work on my The Amazing Digital Mer-Park au so its getting scrapped completely. this breaks my heart to type out and i know close friends of mine will see this and be upset and disappointed but its just not manageable at the time and unfortunately its most likely nit going to get picked back up in the future. I've been putting off typing this up for awhile now but its just what works best for me at this moment in time. i hope you understand where i am coming from and that you will support this decision I'm making to completely shut down the concept and au idea as a whole.
