Happy Lunar New Year! It's year of the dragon so ummmm well I'm predictable.

Something I kind of wanted to draw for ages, after listening to this song no less, but despite all my roughs I couldn't find a composition I was happy with.

But with year of the dragon approaching I decided to give it another try and ended up with this!

And despite the song that inspired it, I think this song is actually much more fitting hehe

I recommend you zoom in for details but there's a couple of close up shots under the cut as well !

DTIYS... with a twist!

Hi everyone, for the month of April I thought of a dtiys I'd like to do. Be sure to read all the rules!

Step one ! Choose one (or more?) of these six drawings below !

"But scribs, aren't these pretty simple?" Why yes, they are, that's why this is the twist.

You have to draw these with your eyes closed.

"But it's going to look bad!" Yup! That's the point. It's just for a good laugh.

Rules !

You do not have to draw and color the entire image, just doing line art would be fine, whatever you're comfortable with! However...

It has to be done with your eyes closed !

"But how do I pick colors?" I'm not a total monster. As long as your eyes are shut when your pencil/brush/whatever is on your canvas, it counts! You can open your eyes between steps to select the right tool.

Any medium is fine by the way! Digital, traditional, heck if you wanna slap actual paint on a canvas with your eyes shut go for it.

When you're done, ADD YOUR IMAGE TO THE POST WHEN YOU REBLOG IT PLEASE. That way people can scroll through the results. If you're worried about the post being too long just reblog from the source!

Have fun with it ! It probably will not look good and that's okay, we're here to have a good time.

I'm afraid I can't offer any prizes because I don't know how I would go about judging something like this. That being said I may give some shout outs to ones that make me laugh really loud or that turn out better than people expect. And of course I'll be reblogging them all!
