The water pipes under my house degraded to the point where they have to re-pipe the whole house, and we're gonna be without water for a week-- potentially longer!

The landlords are cutting out this week from our rent, but it's still going to be a pretty huge money sink since we can't really cook what we currently have in the house until it's fixed. So we need to take an extra grocery trip this week to buy things that we can eat without any prep, which is ✨ expensive ✨

**I am currently looking for a sensitivity reader for Camp Umbrella!**

I would like some help for chapter 3 of CU (preferably someone familiar with TUA). I’ve written a scene where Sloane and Fei interact, and Fei’s blindness comes up. A summary of the scene is: Sloane goes to Fei to get better at archery, and learns that Fei is blind. Sloane is slightly confused as to how Fei can be blind and a great archer, but she quickly moves on, and Fei offers gives her a lesson, which Sloane accepts.

I have never written a blind character before, and I want to make sure I’m doing it right. Currently I’m insinuating a “it’s fanfiction don’t worry about it” situation (which I do a lot in my fanfic, this would not be the first or only time I do this), but I don’t know if that comes off as offensive, and I 100% don’t mean to be.

hey got some important news. the affordable connectivity program that helps poor and disabled people afford internet is going to run out of funding by april 2024 if we can't convince congress to renew it

i know emailing and calling politicians often seems like a waste of time, but this is gonna hurt alot of people (myself included) if this program is allowed to disappear. we really need to raise some awareness and get this program the funding that it needs. ACP is a game changer for literally millions of people. this is the only way many homes can even get internet, and in this day and age internet access is pretty much a necessity for almost everything. its gonna be a huge blow to have this vital program taken away from those who depend on it.

Our friend's family dog, Smokey, is at risk of getting taken away and potentially euthanized by the city of Little Rock, Arkansas, because he has been misidentified by the city as a Pitbull (he is a Cane Corso). He has seen two different veterinarians who both agree that he is not a pitbull, but the local law says the dog catcher has full authority to determine the breed (and they are the ones claiming that he is a pitbull).

Online traction for this case has helped them get the case appealed, so it may help them win it too. If anyone could sign and share their petition (linked below) that would be really helpful for the family. Thank you all so much for your help in advance.
