It tasted something like sin,
A darkness begging to be let in,
A silent scream for merciless things.
The more I pushed it down the harder it rushed up,
Everytime I drank it, it refilled the cup.
I tried to hide,
Slept with the lights on,
Took everything inside me but I let bygones be bygones.
Until one day my strong soul shattered,
The light was broken but the monster was flattered.

Look:
God's for everybody,
But not everybody's for God.
I will always try to enlighten your heart & plant some of His spiritual seeds in you but EVEN IF YOU DON'T go towards Him. I will always be here & care about you just the same.

She left letters for me,
Tainted with sweat from hard work and pain,
Tied in a ribbon of routine.
With ink droplets of change,
And sealed with hope.
Knowing one day,
I would need what she wrote.

The dusk filtered through the windows like water through fresh coffee grounds.
Strong, bitter, desired and, consuming.
Another days end.
Another battle won.
As exhaustion hugs our bones, our life calls us home for rest.
But with enough energy to wake the sun our exhaustion dances with fun until it feels alive.
Then it crawls into bed,
Simply resting its head to gain enough strength to survive,
Until it see's dusk again.

I wondered what it would be like if I took 1 week, despite it being busy, and decided to treat every day like art, like love, like a part of my favorite story.. how would it go?

My soul craves light.
How must I win this battle I'm forced to fight?

Look, here's my problem in the form of poetry:
I like the Winter snow & getting to wear sweaters wherever I go
But I love the Springs rainy weathers and the whisper that it gets better
Then Summer swoops into my heart & with sunshine and beach days, how could one depart?
But just as soon as I think I'm content, the craving for coffee and renewal began.

I learned something today from a post I made sometime ago.
We take for granted what we can see.
We take for granted what we can see. And we let wither what could give us life, because we couldn't see it and if we could, we'd tear its petals off....
If we can't see something, we don't cling too it. We don't believe in it. We don't love it. Usually, we choose not too feel it.
You know everyone says things like, "I have to see it too believe it" or even, "walk by faith not sight".
If someone doesn't give a physical response to a question, a action, etc. We might feel as though they let it pass without second thought. If someone doesn't treat us like others we might think they don't think of us the way we had hoped. Even if inside they don't feel that way. You can be on opposite sides of the room and think they are ignoring you but their thoughts are of you.
Think about it like this, if there is calm water in a clear glass you might only see the glass upon glancing. You might think it is empty, with no contents too offer you. You might label it as tasteless or none nutritional. When in reality, it holds one of the most life giving contents.
But you glanced. It didn't sparkle pinks back at you. It didn't tempt you with movements. It didn't do anything other than be transparent. And therefore, you didn't pay attention. You didn't thirst for what you saw. You didn't pick it up and carry it around. You didn't believe it would give you any benefit because you glances and thought it was empty. You didn't see what it was inside. So you go for the glass that sparkles or the one that's already coloured so you can't see inside.. and then you wonder why it's not transparent, or truthful, healthy, calm, or life giving..
Next time you think someone is being distant or not giving a reaction back that should have been or treating you the way you thought should have happened. The next time you glance at something and get frustrated without coming up too it, observing it, remember too look at their contents closely. Come close and observe it,close your eyes and feel it instead of just passing by, or reacting in a negative way, or just plucking it off the counter and spilling what was good.
Sometimes what we can't see, is really what we need to take care of. ♡

♡Love. It does something to us. It awakens a part of our soul, stops us in our path. And without even the slightest warning, entangls our fate with the one in which we collide.
Love. It causes us to collide into another individual, risking leaving the door open for them to come into our study and become apart of the journal of our life. Before we know it, we trust them. We try their favorite food. Days are spent looking forward to the moment we meet them again. Soon after, lunch dates become dinner and tomorrow becomes goodnight. And you find yourself in ways, you never knew was possible. And no matter how much you began to feel like a painting someone spilled water on, mainly because life starts seeing you both,
Love sweeps in. You stumble colliding into them again. A messy dance in your head is a star winning motion picture to fate. A deepended kiss rooted by experiences and anchored understanding. The sun falls like dew highlighting their skin and you become stilled. Taking in those slow few seconds, watching the flutter of eyelashes as their dark eyes sink through. And oh love, you sink too. Right back into those first few moments when your paths crossed, right back against them, into the calm tide of their voice, and the musical laughter... completely and utterly consumed by,
Love.♡
